It’s another bright and sunny day in equestria.
A week ago Twilight and here friends had defeated Nightmare Moon.
But something else lurks in the horizon. Something primal. But they don’t know about it yet.
Near ponyville Twilight and her friends are enjoying a picnic on this beautiful day. Little did they ever think that they would fight an animal?
“This was a wonderful idea Twilight.” Rarity says
“Thank you Rarity. It was a beautiful idea today and it popped up in my mind to have a picnic.” Twilight says.
“Rainbow Dash get over here. You’re supposed to enjoy this with us.” Applejack says
“I can’t! What if there’s another threat to equestria girls!” Rainbow Dash says
“There won’t be another threat Rainbow Dash. And if there is we will be there to stop it.” Twilight says
“I guess you’re right. I just hate sitting around for so long like this.” Rainbow Dash says as she sits down.
“We know Rainbow. You’ve said that twenty times since we defeated Nightmare moon.” Applejack says
“Yeah! Applejack is right Rainbow.” Pinkie says as she chimes in.
Suddenly the sound of a tree falling grabs the attention of the girls and they all face the direction of where it originated from.
“What was that?” Twilight says.
“Could it be a monster?” Fluttershy says looking scared.
“I could have been a dead tree. They always fall.” Applejack says.
“Could it be a new friend?” Pinkie Pie asks energetically as everyone turns to face her.
“What? You’ve gotta look on the bright side of things.” Pinkie says to defend herself as everyone else rolls their eyes.
Everyone gets up to look for the source. Little do they know that something is stalking them from the woods. Fluttershy feels like she’s being watched.
“I’ll stay back here and wait for you all to get back.” Fluttershy says as she turns around to go back.
As the others get farther away from her she hears something near the picnic spot and when she gets back to it she sees a giant wolf with ice on it’s shoulder, haunches and body and it’s clearing everything off of the picnic blanket.
“H-Hey!” Fluttershy says loudly and the wolf turns to face her and it starts to growl.
The wolf starts to circle around her before slowly approaching her.
“I-it’s okay… I-I’m not going to hurt you.” Fluttershy says while shaking.
The wolf gets closer and sniffs Fluttershy before returning to the blanket a slapping the last basket off of the blanket before laying down on it.
The rest of the group returns as Fluttershy stands there trying to figure out why the wolf did that.
“Fluttershy! What happened here?!” Twilight asks looking panicked as there is a giant wolf laying on their picnic blanket.
“This thing cannot be real! It’s too big!” Applejack says.
“It looks soft can I pet it?” Pinkie asks.
The wolf’s ears turn towards the group as it raises its head.
“Ummm. Girls.” Fluttershy says quietly while the others don’t hear her.
The wolf stands up to its full height and watches the group.
“Ummm. Girls.” Fluttershy says a little louder. The group still doesn’t notice her.
“It’s just a wolf! What could it possibly do?!” Rainbow Dash says with a laugh. “All we have to do is scare it off.” Rainbow Dash says as she turns to see the wolf looking towards her.
“Rainbow Dash. You should apologize.” Fluttershy says.
“Why should I? This thing doesn’t belong here.” Rainbow says as she approaches the wolf. “What is it going to do? Hit me? I’d like to see it try.” She says with a cocky attitude.
Ice rises from the ground and slams into Rainbow Dash as she screams in pain as the wolf looks angered.
The group looks shocked and appalled while Fluttershy shakes her head in disappointment in Rainbow dash. Rainbow gets up and goes to punch the wolf as Fluttershy runs up and grabs Rainbow’s hand and turns her around before pulling her close to her face.
“You will Not hit this animal. Do you hear me?” Fluttershy says in a hostile tone. She lets Rainbow go and Rainbow stands there shocked and scared because she has never seen Fluttershy like this before.
Fluttershy approaches the wolf and turns to face the group.
“If any of you lay one hand on her and it hurts her I will personally hurt you myself.” Fluttershy says looking mad.
The group quickly nods and the wolf lays back down on the blanket and Fluttershy sits next to the wolf and starts petting it.
“Why are you protecting this thing Fluttershy?” Twilight asks.
“Because she’s pregnant.” Fluttershy says while everyone else goes wide eyed.
“Pregnant? How can you tell that?” Rarity asks
“She told me. She’s been pregnant for two months now.” Fluttershy says looking proud.
“But what if she starts to give birth? What will you do then?” Twilight asks.
“I’ll know what to do and Twilight. You should get Princess Celestia here so she can help me incase it happens.” Fluttershy says as Twilight nods and walks off to send a letter.
A little bit later Twilight returns with Spike and Princess Celestia.
“Here she is Princess Celestia. Just like I told you in the letter.” Twilight says while Celestia looks in awe.
“It’s just like I read when I was just a foal. There were legends of a wolf of ice. The Frostwülf. It feeds off of magic. It was rumored to be a legend! A myth! I never thought I would live to see the day where I meet a Frostwülf.” Celestia says as she approaches the wolf.
The wolf watches as she gets closer before laying her hand on the wolf’s head and rubbing it back and forth gently.
“She’s so soft! She has ice on her body but she’s so warm and adorable!” Celestia says while loving on the wolf while the others are flabbergasted by her because they have never seen princess Celestia act like this before.
“Are you okay Princess?” Applejack asks.
“I’m fine she’s just so sweet.” Celestia says as she boops the wolf on the nose and the wolf’s tail starts to wag. “You’re a good girl aren’t you? Yes you are! Yes you are!” Celestia says to the wolf in a baby voice as the wolf’s tail wags faster and faster.
The wolf stands up and stretches as it forms ice from the ground and it forms smaller patches of ice and raises it into the air and it prepares to jump onto them as it does a small butt wiggle before jumping onto the ice and the ice breaks as it jumps off before landing at the highest patch of ice and laying on it and falling asleep.
“I think she wants to be left alone. Well I must get back to the castle before the guards have a break down. Fair well my little sunshine’s.” Celestia says as she teleports away and the group waves her goodbye.
“Well I should get back to the farm.” Applejack says as she leaves.
“I need to make sure Sweetiebelle didn’t break anything.” Rarity says as she leaves as well.
“Bye guys!” Pinkie says as she skips away.
“Bye you two.” Twilight says as she picks up the picnic stuff and leaves.
“Just know that I will get my revenge against that wolf. You just won’t be around to stop me Fluttershy.” Rainbow says with an angry attitude as she flies off.
“Oh no.” Fluttershy mumbles to herself as she looks at the ice in the sky and sighs before walking away.
