Before reading this. I want to go ahead and say this. This was one of the many ways I tried typing unforgiving broken bonds. I want to know y’all’s opinion on this one shot. Because I’m actually considering rewriting and going down this path for the story. I apologize but after this story is published unforgiving will be taken down. This one shot is only temporary. I want to hear what y’all think of how the story was going to go. Again this is only a temporary one shot. When I get enough feedback it will come down and the real story will be posted. Please help me out.

Trailblazer, Dragon Heart

Hitch yelled as he threw a punch at the bubble they were trapped in. None of them could believe the situation they were in right now. Misty, their supposed friend had led them into a trap. She not only led them into a trap, but she also kidnapped his son. Sparky, was now at the mercy of some kind of crazy alicorn. An alicorn named Opaline. He pressed his full weight against the bubble again; it stretched and stretched, but no matter how much stress he put the bubble through. It would not pop. He had to get out of there. He had to get out of there now! Some crazy alicorn was possibly hurting his baby.

He grunted as he tried again. “Come on. Come on!” He yelled as he was thrown backwards by the bubble dome. He cursed loudly. “Damn it!”

Sunny looked at him and said. “Hitch, calm down.”

He glared at her and said. “Don't you tell me to calm down Sunny.” He got up and tried again while he continued. “My son is being held captive by some crazy mare and I can't get to him.” He grunted again as he was thrown back again. He muttered. “When I get out of here.”

Sunny shook her head and turned away from him; she closed her eyes and tried to focus her magic on the bubble. She felt her magic coursing through her body, for a brief moment her alicorn form appeared. Only to have it fade away shortly after. She sighed heavily; why can't she control her form better? She opened her eyes just in time to see Misty coming the stairs.

She questioned. “Misty?” She noticed she was holding something.

Hitch tried to break the bubble again; only this time it finally popped. He yelled out as he fell to the floor, his face smacked the stone floor hard. He groaned in slight pain as he rubbed his nose. Thankfully, his nose was not broken. As he started to stand his ears perked as he heard a faint whimpering. A whimpering he recognized.

He spoke. “Sparky.”

He found himself full of a new form of energy. He began to sprint up the stairs; Misty tried to stop him, but he shoved her out of the way. He didn't care if he had just hurt her. All he cared about was his son. The others called to him, begging him to stop. But, he had to get to his baby. He ran faster than he ever had before. He ascended the steps at a dangerous speed. A speed that not even he would recommend ascending a flight of stairs. He came to a stop at a room halfway to the top. He saw his son floating just outside a window. His dragon-fire slowly being drained from him.

He called out to his son. “Sparky!”

Sparky looked at him; his eyes looked so weak. Hitch started to run to him; only to be blasted by magical fire. He yelled as he struck the wall hard. He heard a wicked laughter, looking up he saw the one hurting his son. Opaline, looked at him with a wicked smile.

She spoke. “Your pathetic dragon's.”

She didn't get a chance to finish; Hitch was already charging her again. Like before he was launched back by her magic. Sparky, could barley keep his eyes open. His body felt so cold and he felt so tired. But, he could see his father fighting somepony. And, his father was being hurt by her. He cried a little as his tiny claw reached out for his father. He wanted to help him but, he was in no position to help. He grumbled a little as fell inside the bubble again. He heard his father yell in pain as he was slammed into a desk. Sparky reached for his father again.

“Daddy!”

Hitch's eyes' shot open as he heard his son's voice. He looked beyond Opaline and at his son. His baby was staring at him with half open eyes. He noticed something glowing inside his sons chest. The glow got brighter and brighter, it then shot up his sons throat. His son inhaled and blew out a bright fire ball. The ball traveled through the bubble and through the air, it shot pass Opaline, so fast that she didn't even notice it until it was too late. The ball struck Hitch square in the chest; his body ignited into harsh flames. Flames, that changed to mach his own colors. Opaline watched in wicked glee.

She spoke with a sickening laugh. “That stupid dragon is more useful than I thought.” She smiled and continued. “He's.”

She stopped talking as she watched the flames grow bigger. The flames were reaching up to her ceiling, they were also taking the shape of a fully grown dragon. As they started to die down; they slowly revealed the form of a dragon. The dragon had light amber colored scales and silver colored head fins. On its head were two large horns and on it's tail was a lethal spiral shaped tailblade. It had a row of spines going down its back. It also had two large wings; which were unfurled and on full display. As the fire around it's face died down; it glared at Opaline with amber colored eyes. While a low menacing growl came from it's maw.

Opaline tried to speak. “Impossible.”

She yelled in pain as the dragon swiped her with it's dagger like talons. She was sent across the room and slammed into the wall. She gasped as the wind was knocked out of her. The impact was so great it actually sent a tremor down the stairway. Sunny and the others felt the tremor and came to a complete stop. They looked at each other with worry; whatever was happening, it was something bad.

Sunny begged. “Hang on, Hitch.”

Opaline groaned as she slowly got to her hooves. As she looked at the dragon she gasped in slight horror; it had grabbed hold of the dragon stone. Before she could say anything the dragon slammed it into the ground. Easily crushing it and releasing the dragon-fire she had collected. She could only watch as her dragon-fire entered the body of the dragon.

She yelled. “No! That was my power!” She charged a fire spell and shot it at the dragon.

The dragon turned and countered with a more fierce fire attack. A large explosion racked the castle as the two attacks met. Pieces of stone fell from the castle as it shook horribly. Thick black smoke filled the room. Only to clear almost instantly as the dragon roared and lunged at Opaline. She yelled as she tried to fly away. Only to scream out as horrible pierce pain tore through her back leg. She was dragged down and slammed into the ground. Before she had a chance to react the dragon already had its fangs on her abdomen. She didn't have a chance to scream as she was bitten clean in half. The dragon wasted little time severing her head from what remained of her body; before it burned the rest of it.

The room smelled like smoke and the sickening sweet smell of burning meat. The dragon stood calmly as it stared at the burning corpse. It's lips stained with the blood of the alicorn it had just killed. For a moment the dragon was tempted to roar out it's victory. But, the moment it heard a series of frightened gasps it turned and stared at them. It saw five mares standing in the doorway. Each of them looking it in complete fear.

Zipp spoke up. “Where did?”

She was interrupted by Sparky who called out in a weak voice. “Daddy.”

Everyone looked at him, he was still floating in the bubble. Just hovering in mid-air; his scales looked so pale, and his voice sound very weak. The mares watched as the dragon turned in the direction of the voice.

The dragon spoke. “Sparky.” All of them recognized the voice as the dragon continued. “It's okay.” The dragon moved closer to the window; he reached out and took hold of the bubble. He gently pulled it in and popped it in his claw. Sparky gazed up at him and was met with the bloody, loving, gentle gaze of his father. The drake pulled his baby close to his chest and whispered. “Oh, Sparky.” Thick tears fell from his eyes as he held his son close and apologized. “I'm so sorry.”

Sparky repeated. “Daddy.” He then gently nuzzled his father.

Sunny spoke in disbelief. “Hitch?” The dragon turned and looked at her. She gasped as she saw his bloody muzzle. She had a good guess who the blood belonged too.

Hitch spoke to her. “Sunny?”

It was all he could muster as a wave of exhaustion hit his body. He fell to the ground and quickly fell into a peaceful slumber. The others quickly got to his side; each of them checking him over for anything serious. Then, again, what was a serious wound for a dragon? None of them could believe that this was Hitch. Their friend who was once a pony, now somehow a fully grown dragon. Each of them were worried. Now, not only about Sparky, but him as well. When they saw that he was okay; Sunny, Misty, and Izzy used their magic to float both of them out of the castle. Once outside they ran into the next problem. How were they going to get both of them home?
