Epilogue 7: Braver's Ending
Previous ChapterNext ChapterBraver- Three months later
"And this is the kitchen!" Braver happily said, showing Cozy around the castle that was under construction. She leads her down a hallway.
Cozy looked around as they walked. "So, you aren't staying here, huh? I'm shocked, to be honest. I thought you would stay in Maretime Bay with your parents."
Braver smiled. "It's too quiet and small for my taste. New Ponyville is my home, and it always will be," she answered, opening the large doors and showing Cozy the empty throne room. Before she could show it off, Luster appeared before them, holding a pink book.
"Sorry it took forever, honey. It's just the first of many like I told you." Luster got closer to Braver, and the two nuzzled each other's noses. Cozy saw this and did a fake gag but saw the book floating above Luster.
"What's with the book?"
Luster pulled the book away from her and handed it to Braver. "None of your business, Cozy." she turned back to Braver and kissed her. "I need to head back. The Library is underattened," Luster said.
"I'll be there later, and we can go for lunch. Maybe some dessert, too."
"That sounds like a date, my love." Luster gave her another kiss, stepped back, and was gone.
Braver was going to continue the tour, but she felt the book being yanked out under her wing. She looked back and saw Cozy trying to look at it, but Braver teleported the book back to herself. "Cozy, that's not for you to read. It's for the future generation."
Cozy looked at her very seriously and curious. "Future generation? What the hell are you talking about?"
Braver led Cozy back into the hallway and to a different part of the castle that had been completed first. "Well, after what happened in this universe, historians have been making sure that all events are known to everyone and are never forgotten, but Mother suggested to everyone involved with the events to write down their side. Help teach future generations about stuff." She stopped and turned to Cozy. "Before you ask, I figured you didn't want to write one, so I didn't tell you about it. Sorry."
Cozy huff at that. She hated writing, so Braver was right not to ask her, but she was still upset about something else.
"If future generations want to learn about stuff, they should experience it and not just hear or read about it."
Braver chuckled and opened a door to an underground stairway. Cozy could see the tunnel under the castle, but she didn't follow her as Braver stayed with her.
"What is down there?"
"It's to the castle archives. Thanks to Twilah for giving us her race tech. We created an archive room to keep books and other pristine items safe. There are no copies. This is the real deal. How we keep the items blah, blah, blah!"
Cozy was tuning out Braver as she started to speak egghead talk. Cozy glared down the stairway, and an evil idea popped into her head, but she needed to wait a bit. She must remember to ask Braver when the past events will be archived. After which, she will rewrite the current history into one where she is the hero! She started to laugh...only to stop as Braver joined her in the laughter.
Braver had an evil grin on her face but stopped, and Cozy looked nervous. "Oh, sorry. You just started to laugh, so I wanted to join in," Braver told her the truth, making Cozy roll her eyes...
Cozy- year 22
Cozy and the rest of her friends were in the Library of New ponyville. She could see Twilight, Dash, and their close friends and family among the group, as Braver called them all here at short notice in the text.
Braver teleported before everyone, looking like she had a massive freakout.
"Sweetie!? What happened to you!?" shouted Twilight, rushing to her daughter's side, trying to fix her mane.
Dash flew over and helped as well. "Did something happen!?"
Cozy and everyone gathered around her, asking the same thing. Braver sat down and breathed in and out. She slowly looked at them, tears in her eyes, and happily pointed to the stairs. Everyone looked and became shocked, seeing Luster slowly walking down.
"Hello everyone...surprise, I guess."
Dash whispered, "...I'm going to be a grandmother..." She fainted while Twilight joined her.
Cozy could see the slight bump in Luster's belly and knew what that meant.
Braver's eyes lit up as her wife rubbed her stomach. "She is pregnant with my child."
"What!?" yelled out everyone in the library.
Braver stood up. "Yeah, I'm going to be a mom...or Dad? Hmmm..." she started to wonder if she was the dad or mom.
Everyone asked how. At the same time, Cozy and Fluttershy remembered the book that they had found. Braver could change her gender for her mate. Cozy also remembered the future she could have had, but she brushed that lost future out of her mind. She was happy for Luster and Braver, so she needed to change! She wanted to be there for the child.
Twilight stood up, still shocked, and looked at her daughter. She slowly held her daughter, her daughter-in-law, and soon her future grandchild.
"I'm going to be a grandmother?" Twilight cried and smiled while she hugged their daughter and her family.
Dash was still knocked out...
Braver- 10 months(Year 23)
Braver hurried to the store as Luster was craving cookies and marshmallow ice cream. It was Twilight Day, so she had her mother's party in New Ponyville's town hall. As she trotted by, three young siren children could be seen sneaking around.
"You sure about this, Adagio?" asked a Light violet female siren as she and the other two flopped their way through the backends of town.
Adagio, the light, brilliant gold-colored body, looked at her sister, who was second-guessing this plan. "Yes, I'm sure, Aria! There is a rumor of a powerful magical item in this town mayor's office. It will be ours!"
The third and youngest sister, but somehow the biggest of the three, Light Cerulean Siren, spoke up. "What will we do with this item? Oh! Can we make a wish!?"
Adagio chuckled at her younger sister's naivety. "Of course, dear sister Sonata." she smacked Sonata behind her head, which made her sister's head bounce and hit Aria. "We will finally control this world and be the new rulers! We will control all life! And then..." Adagio stopped as they could hear someone close by.
All three hid inside a trash can, but poor Adagio's large tail stuck out.
Soon, a dark purple Alicorn walked by, eyeing Fluttershy and Discord as the two were going to get flowers for Twilight. The Alicorn smiled evil-like, heading to Fluttershy to start her plan to make ponies hate each other based on their race.
As she left, the three siren sisters pushed the trash can and rolled it toward the town hall, crashing into it.
Braver had the ice cream in a bag and was hurrying back when she saw a crowd forming around a flower shop stand. She pushed through, wondering what was happening, but she only saw poor Fluttershy on the ground, with Discord trying to help her.
Before Braver could help, she could hear laughter and see who pushed poor Fluttershy. It was a purple mare Alicorn, and she was saying things filled with hate toward different pony races that weren't unicorns.
"Pegasus races aren't strong or smart enough! They think they are better than you, unicorns." She pointed to the unicorns watching, then pointed to the earth ponies and glared at them like dirt. "Earth ponies can't do anything without magic. You are a waste of space!" She started to attack other races that weren't ponies and soon began to talk about how great and loved the Alicorns were.
Braver had enough.
"Hey, lady! That's enough!" yelled Braver, setting the ice cream on the ground and walking over to her.
The evil Alicorn slowly faced Braver and smiled. "Ah yes, the pretender. It's the fake that thinks it's an Alicorn."
Braver didn't like that. She might still be part slime, but she was a real Alicorn like her mother and any other Alicornsa. "No, you are wrong! Who are you anyway?"
The Alicorn smiled at her. "My name is Opaline Arcana, and you should remember that! For one day, I will rule all ponies and put Alicorns back to the top, where we belong."
Braver didn't know who this mare was, but she wasn't going to let her spread hate and violence.
"What do you mean putting the Alicorns back on the top? There is no top or bottom. Everyone is equal. I don't know how things were back then, but now, everypony and creature are equal, so stop spreading hate."
Opaline laughed at her. "Hate!? Oh, this isn't hate, sweetie. This is the truth. Alicorns are the most vital and perfect race. They can use forbidden and powerful magic, and no one else can. Why? Because it was the magic of Alicorns that created all the races."
Braver looked around and could hear everyone whispering about this. She thought this was odd and didn't understand why this was the first time she had heard about it.
"Even then!" Braver shouted back. "We Alicorns aren't a perfect race. We are like the other races. We are still living creatures. Just like them. We make mistakes and have flaws, and just like them, we can learn and become stronger by helping others. Hating on the other races isn't going to help you. It will make things worse. You'll only see yourself become a monster."
Opaline was getting annoyed by this young fake Alicorn, so she used her magic, and soon, everything around them caught in blue flames.
"You know nothing, you fake! I hoped you would see it my way, but I guess not. I need to make you see for yourself!" she pointed her horn but not Braver but Fluttershy and Discord, firing blue jet streams of flames. "See how powerful we are above these weak ponies!"
"NO!" screamed Braver, rushing to use her body to take the flames for her mother's friends. But as the flames were burning, the fire started to enter Braver's body and began to boil her inside to the point her slime gave off a black smog—a Black Miasma that blasted out and covered the part of the town.
The Aria and Sonata pushed Adagio out of the trash can, freeing them from the smelly prison. They helped Adagio but became scared as they saw black mist approaching them. Within the fog, they could see the twisted face of some pony. They backed away into the town hall wall, but as they did that, they heard a loud, angry voice coming from the town hall.
"WHO DARES HURT MY DAUGHTER!?!"
Soon, something blasted out of the hall toward a blazing part of town.
Sonata became scared. "We should stop and go home!"
Adagio disagreed. "No idiots, this is perfect! We can sneak into the mayor's office with no one notice!" She looked at her sisters. "Follow me!"
Adagio led her sisters into an opened window and hopped inside. They saw all the guests inside racing out outside, screaming for someone named Dash. They flopped their way to the office, and they could see it—the magical mirror, the item they had heard so much about. As they got closer, they could feel hot. Soon, the window started to turn blue from a blue light.
"What's goi-"
Before Aria could finish, the room was suddenly destroyed and filled with blue flames, as an Alicorn in darkness stood over another Alicorn. The poor three sirens were blown back, landing near the mirror, which fell forward because of the explosion, falling right on top of them. Mirror scattered and was destroyed, but the three sirens were nowhere to be seen.
Within the blue flames, laughter could be heard.
"See...we Alicorns should be feared but loved for our powers! Look at you..." Opaline coughed as she was the one on the ground, and the one standing over her was Twilight, whose eyes were glowing with bright purple lights. "So much power...even as fake, you genuinely show off why we should be on top and not among these lowly beings!"
Twilight said nothing; she raised her hoof and slammed it down on Opaline's neck, slowly cutting off her airway.
"You dare hurt my sweet child? Then talk about why Alicorns should be feared?" she got closer to her. "You are right. You should fear me not as an Alicorn but as a MOTHER!" Twilight pushed hard, making Opaline cough out blood. "FOR TOUCHING MY BABY, I'LL MAKE SURE YOU WILL NEVER HURT ANYONE ELSE AGAIN! I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT MAKING YOU INTO A STATUE, NO! I'M TALKING ABOUT ENDING YOU!"
Opaline could see Twilight's fur slowly becoming dark purple as if something was trying to take over, but someone stopped it as they called out to Twilight.
"Mother! Stop!" Braver screamed as she fell into the room, still severely hurt.
Twilight snapped out of it and let Opaline go, realizing what she was doing.
"Oh, my baby girl!" She raced over and held her daughter in her arms. "Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor?"
Braver shook her head, trying to play off the pain she was feeling. She turned to a badly hurt Opaline, who was trying to escape, but Braver stopped her by...
"Huh?" said Opaline, seeing Braver helping her. "What are you doing?"
Braver helped her up and to the door, calling out for help. She then turned to her, smiling.
"Like I told you, we Alicorns are like everyone else. Alicorns are not special nor different; we are just like everyone else, and we all have good and bad in us." Braver limped as she tried to head down the hallway. "We can get hurt, we can get scared, we can feel love, we can make mistakes and do things we don't like. We are all equal, and it doesn't matter what race or species you are. You should see your own value and help those around you because of the value they have." Opaline was going to say something, but she felt someone lifting her other side. She looked and saw it was Twilight herself. Twilight continued for her daughter. "You shouldn't look down on someone's value or worth. Everyone is equal and can do so many amazing things. No one is above the others."
Braver and Twilight helped Opaline down the hall and back to the others. They set her down, and she could see how different races greatly valued Twilight and her daughter. She was even more surprised when Fluttershy, whom she had hurt, asked if she was okay. Soon, others asked if she needed help. They didn't care about someone's value or if they should be placed above the rest. They wanted to help and show their true worth. She soon saw her old childhood friends...Celestia and Luna.
"Thank you..." Opaline said weakly, looking at Braver and Twilight, who nodded at her.
Braver sat down and smiled at her. "Talk to me. Tell me why you felt like this—feeling so much hate. I'll listen to everything you say because you can't tell others what's wrong if you don't tell them."
Opaline lowered her and started to talk...
Twilight could see Sunset rushing to her and telling her that something was wrong with Dash...
Cozy- year 24
Cozy was invited to Black Star Dawn's first birthday party in the Maretime Bay Castle. The young unicorn slime hybrid foal was giggling as she played with her grandparents, Dash and Twilight, while Starlight and Sunburst were helping Braver serve the food to the guests.
Cozy smiled as she watched Black Star smile, but She slowly looked at Braver, who almost looked like Twilight now, still looking young, and then at Luster, who had aged now. Everyone else was the same as well in aging, except Twilight, Braver, Cadance, the Alicorn sisters, herself, and...
"Princess, it's the Yak leaders on the phone. They want to know if you will go on a trip with them." Opaline asked Twilight, as she was her assistant now, wearing black glasses and a secretary outfit. Twilight handed Black Star to her while taking the phone away from Opaline to speak to the leaders. Opaline didn't know what to do, as she never held a foal before. "...hello?"
Black Star blinked and tilted her head.
Cozy watched as Opaline struggled with the baby foal, making her laugh.
"...what are you laughing at?" Opaline glared.
"Nothing~" Cozy chuckled, walking over and picking up Black Star from her. Cozy played with the foal, feeling different, proud, and happy. She was feeling what having a child was like. She handed Dash the foal, who returned to spoiling Star with kisses.
Cozy looked at Luster and Braver as they talked. She had a sad thought, seeing herself standing next to Braver, the one she would love and help replace Luster.
"No..."
Cozy shook her head. She didn't want that. Braver deserves someone better than her when Luster passes away in the future. Even though she and Braver will still be alive, she can't live up to Luster's memory and doesn't want her to be replaced.
Cozy turned and headed outside the Maretime Bay castle, not realizing that Luster was looking at her.
Cozy kept walking and finally stopped. She was at the edge of town, seeing the empty fields and the beautiful sunset. She felt like someone was behind her, and she turned around and saw Luster there, all worried.
"Cozy, where are you going?" Luster asked her.
Cozy smiled and turned back, looking out at the view. "...I'm leaving."
Luster's heart dropped. She walked up and stood next to her. "Why?"
"..." Cozy turned and smiled. "Because I need to find myself and what I really want. I love spending time with you, Braver, and your sweet little daughter, but Luster, I can't stay in your lives anymore."
Luster looked away, feeling a bit sad. "...is it because you are still in love with Braver?" Luster looked at her, seeing how much Cozy fought back her tears. "Cozy..."
"It's not just that, but when you are gone...I know I'm going to replace you one day but-" Cozy shook her head and tried to fight her tears. "I can't let that happen. I'll love Braver, but I don't want her to be with me or love me because she can do better. Luster, you are better than me, you ARE much better than me, and I'm happy Braver chose you and not me. You can see how happy you make her." Cozy smiled. "I don't want to replace you, and I can't bear the idea of Braver replacing you with me. So, that's why I'm leaving..." Cozy started to walk off but stopped as Luster tried to stop her.
"Don't go! Cozy, when I die, I know Braver and you will end up being together because she loves you the same way she loves me. Please, don't go!" Luster begged her.
Cozy shook her head. "No...I won't become your replacement and let her forget about you." She tried to walk off again, but Luster said something that made her wish she never heard it.
"We wanted you to be Black Star godparent, Cozy! I want you to be her godmother. She loves you. Braver loves you. Please, don't leave!" Luster started to cry, seeing Cozy walking again and not stopping. "Please, can't you try and see where it goes with her? For me? I...no." She corrected herself. "We need you!" She tried to reach out to her, but Cozy teleported away, never to be seen again by anyone. "...they need you..." Luster fell to the ground, crying. "I need you..."
Dash -year 28 on Twilight Day-
This year, for Twilight Day, only Braver, who was a spitting image of Twilight when she was young, and her family attended. They took Twilight and Dash to the forest, where everything started on that faithful day when the Rainbow Comet appeared.

"COME ON, GRANDMA!" shouted a black unicorn filly with a similar mane from Luster's side. She was jumping up and down on the dirt road.
Dash slowly flew toward her and picked her up, smiling at her granddaughter.
"Take it easy, Black Star! Grandma isn't young, you know! Back in my day, I could fly circles around you! I could even do a Sonic Rainboom, but sadly, I can't anymore. I'm old, have grey hair, need glasses, and my back hurts, and..."
Twilight walked up to them, smiling, and kissed Dash's cheek.
"Stop it, Dash, you aren't that old, you know?"
Dash turned to Twilight, smiling at her.
"Heh, whatever you say, Twi."
"Mom!"
The two turned to their daughter and Luster. They finally caught up and set the picnic baskets on the ground. Braver took out a huge phone with a magical crystal on the back and touched the screen. Thanks to Twilah, when she stayed in this universe during the Multiverse crisis, she taught and sold her design of how a magical phone would work to Equesrtia's great magical minds. This was the prototype to be made and given to the royal family.
"Let's see! My parents' grave site should be up ahead." Braver looked back up and searched around, surprised at how much the forest had changed over the years. "I hope we don't get lost. It's been a long time since I've been in these woods. The last time I was here was when..." Twilight could see how sad Braver became. "...Blitz and Spark visited for the family reunion when their universe time differences matched our own."
"Time differences?" asked Star, not understanding what her mother said.
Dash lifted Star and placed her on her shoulders, smiling.
"It's egghead talk about how your aunties, well just Blitz, can't visit this universe unless our time is the same as theirs. That means we can't visit them."
Star crossed her arms and pouted.
"Oh, so their universe time is super slow?"
"Not exactly," explained Braver, using her phone to show them an image of a universe map that Spark gave her. "See this tree branch? This is our universe, and notice how the prism window is moving fast. Our time is much faster than theirs, but it is rare when it slows down."
Star smiled and cheered.
"Yay! I can see my aunties one day!"
"Yeah," smiled Braver, looking at her wife and then her daughter.
The family returned to walking down the dirt road, but soon, the road was slowly gone as grass grew over it.
"We must be close, right?" asked Twilight.
Dash shrugged but was surprised as Star jumped off her neck, ran ahead, and stopped.
"Grandma! Race me! Come on, show me how fast you still are! Let's go, let's go!"
"Hey, not fair! Grandma is old! I'll lose!"
"I'll join in," Twilight declared, running toward Star. "Come on, Dash, stop putting yourself down."
"But my back..." whined Dash, walking behind them.
Black Star and Twilight waited for her and smiled at her.
"I'm here for you, Dashie, always will be," whispered Twilight.
Dash shook her head, opened her wings, and blasted past them.
"Better catch up, kiddo! Grandma is still a fast flyer!" shouted Dash, but she started to sweat and hold her chest.
"Yay!" laughed Star, running after her grandma, and they disappeared into the woods.
Dash flew as fast as she could, but not too fast, as she wanted her granddaughter to think she had a fighting chance.

She looked back, seeing Black Star running behind and laughing with joy. This made Dash smile, but she soon felt something...
A heartbeat pounded inside her chest, making her stop.
Dash landed and held her chest, trying to control her breathing, and her body began to feel hot.
"G-Grandma!" called out Black Star, who finally caught up and stopped before her.
Dash tried to play it off like she always does, but this time, it was different. Her heartbeat was racing and making her feel pain.
"GRANDMA!" screamed Star, shaking her.
Dash's body gave out, and she fell backward and onto the ground, unable to breathe. Black Star cried and panicked as she got closer to her grandma, unsure what to do. Dash could see that, and she smirked at her.
"Kiddo, listen to me. Grandma is going to sleep for a while, okay? Can you get your mothers and Twilight? Don't cry, okay? Whatever happens, this wasn't your fault. Okay?"
Black Star wiped her tears and nodded.
"I'll be right back!" Star said, running off.
Dash closed her eyes and breathed heavily. She was scared, more scared than when the Multiverse was ending. She was going to die...
"Braver..."
She could see her life flashing before her eyes, seeing her raising Braver from a small filly to the great mare she was. She started to cry.
"I know you. You will be heartbroken, but you are the first one to accept my death. You are my little mommy girl, after all. So brave as well."
She soon saw flashes of her friends. Knowing they would miss her, Dash broke down when she saw Twilight.
"I don't want to leave you, Twi. You are my love. We've been through so much together. We raised our daughter together, and now I have to go? No. No! I don't want to!" she tried to fight it, but her vision was slowly blacking out. "Twilight...wait for me...I'll find you again, as I promise you. I'm not going to let us be separated. I won't. I...I...I love..." Dash's vision was black now, but she could hear her family screaming her name as they were getting closer to her. "Twilight...remember...the photo of......m............."
She closed her eyes, her heartbeat stopped, and she stopped breathing.
Twilight and Braver arrived and saw Dash on the ground. Braver was shaking her head, not wanting to believe what was happening. She tried to get close, but Twilight stopped her.
"Sweetie, don't be fooled. Dash is playing a prank like she always does." Twilight said, but in a way, it sounded like she was begging her wife not to be dead.
"MOM!" cried Black Star, who finally showed up with Luster but froze, seeing Twilight walking up to Dash's body.
"Dash, wake up right now. You are scaring Black Star! You should know better than to scare her!" Twilight lowered her head, nuzzling Dash's face, but Dash didn't react. Twilight's heart was beating fast. "Dash?" she whispered. "I'll play along. Yes, you win. You got us good. You can open your eyes now." Still, nothing. "Dash?" Twilight started to realize the truth, but she couldn't. Dash can't be dead. Dash can't be gone. "No. This isn't true. No. Please, wake up, Dash. Please stop it. This isn't funny anymore."
"...mom..." Braver cried, not only seeing her mother dead but also heartbroken at how Twilight was handling it.
Twilight finally started to cry as she pushed Dash's head, trying to make her move, but like always...nothing. She finally broke down as she hugged her, hoping her spirit wouldn't leave.
"Dash, don't leave me...I don't want a world with you gone."
Luster held Star, who was sobbing.
Twilight rested next to Dash, making it look like Dash was napping beside her.
"Dash...please..." she kissed her on the cheek. "Please keep your promise...find me again, no matter where you go...I'll wait for you."
"Mom?" Braver walked over, and she could see Twilight petting the other side of Dash's side. Without saying anything else, Braver rests next to her dead mother. Making it look like Dash was lying between them...
Twilight- year 417(Twilight Day)
Braver watched her mother hold the Unity Crystals while they were inside Twilight's bedroom. Braver asked her mother if she was sure about this one last time.
"Mother, if you do this, you will lose your Alicornhood. You return to being an average Unicorn, but since it's been four hundred years, your body might age...might d-d-..." Braver couldn't finish that word.
Twilight looked back at her daughter, seeing the bruises and markings slowly healed by her daughter's slime side. She tried reaching out, but she could see Braver flinch. Twilight quickly pulled her hoof away, knowing what she had done to Sunny and Sunny's friends and what she had done to Braver. She hurt her again, but it would be the last time.
"...I have to. I don't want Sunny to share my fate. She's extraordinary, Braver." Twilight looked away and looked at the crystal, seeing it glow. "I didn't see it, but you? My sweet, brave daughter, you saw the spark within her. You know she will do great things."
Brave could see the Unity Crystals releasing their lights and draining Twilight's Alicorn magic. She slowly shrank in size, her wings getting smaller until they were gone.
"I might have been her teacher, but you? You were like a mother to her. You taught her better than I ever could." Twilight turned around, seeing her daughter crying.
"Braver..."
Braver didn't respond. She couldn't.
"I might be an awful mother, but I'm glad." Twilight smiled as she was almost a Unicorn again. "Glad you came out better than me. You are kind, smart, loving, and so much more. You are my pride and joy. If I had another chance to do things over after hurting you all, I would..."
"MOM!"
Braver ran to Twilight as she returned to being an average Unicorn, but her body started to age rapidly. Braver could see her mother's hair slowly turning gray, her skin wrinkling, and her body weakening. Braver cried, not ready to lose another mother.
"Forgive me. my child..."
Braver held her tight, crying.
"I can never do that, Mom. I could never forgive you because there is nothing to forgive. You were hurting all these years..." Braver could see flashes of Dash. "Without her here, you didn't have the strength to move forward."
Twilight didn't say anything.
"I should be asking forgiveness. For all those years, you were alone. Even if I was by your side, I didn't see you falling into depression and sadness." Braver lowered her head, crying. "I'm a horrible daughter!"
Twilight slowly and weakly touched Braver's cheek, making her look at her.
"That's enough. Stop beating yourself up. I'm an adult. I made a choice, and I have to live knowing what I did to everyone...to you..." She tried to wipe Braver's cheek of the tears. But like before, Braver flinches. "Even now, I can't even touch you."
Braver closed her eyes.
"I'm sorry..."
"Stop apologizing for your reactions; don't ever be apologizing. I abused you..." Twilight demanded. "I'm not going to live long, Braver. Can you...do me-"
"ANYTHING!" Braver held her, wanting to beg her to stay alive. "Please, mom. I'll do anything! Even if you wish me to break the universe, I'll do it for you! Please. Please don't leave me, not like this. I don't want you to go like this; It's unfair..."
"Anything?" Twilight repeated, not wanting to leave her daughter, either.
Braver nodded.
"Yes. I'll do anything."
Twilight sighed.
"Then stay with me until the end...and give me the photo on the nightstand..." she pointed to a very worn-out photo.
Braver used her magic and carried the photo over to them, but because of how much sadness she had, Braver lost focus and dropped it. The photo landed before Twilight, seeing the glass scattering and the picture frame broken.
"I'm so sorry, mother! I-I didn't mean to!" Braver picked up the frame. "I'll fix it, please!"
Twilight's eyes widened, and she started to cry. She saw the photo of Dash that she had given her on the first Twilight Day, but as it unfolded, someone was in it.
"...D-Dash... that...what...y-yo..." Twilight slowly closed her eyes. She couldn't see Dash or her friends in the darkness, but she swore she would find them again as her spark burned out, ending her life.
Braver suddenly felt her mother becoming limp and heavy. She quickly looked at her and realized what happened...
"Mom..."
She looked at the photo and smiled. She could see Dash taking a selfie, but she was shoulder-hugging Twilight, who looked annoyed but happy as she placed her head on Dash's shoulder.
"...she'll always be there for you...mother."
She lay next to her, resting her head on her, closing her eyes, and letting her tears fall...until the bedroom door burst open, and Braver's heart broke, seeing who it was.
"TEACHER!?" Sunny Starscout cried out, breathing hard as she ran up here while a letter fell out of her hoof. She could see her teacher, Twilight, dead. This caused Sunny to freak out. "APPLES! GRAPES! WATERMELONS!" making her ramble and yell out random fruits and berries like she always does when stressed or scared. She fell to the ground, crying. "O-ORANGES!!....oranges....teacher..."
Braver's Ending...for now.
