Seated within the center of reality, existing outside of time and space is a place known as the Council of Creation.
This place floats within a sea of stars, a vast Citadel of vast technology beyond anything that can be made by mortal hands. It is a gargantuan sphere of black metal with golden veins of unknown energy pumping through the sphere. This where the beings known as the Celestial stand watch over all of creations.
These ancient beings were once part of their own universe but their technology and power launched them beyond the laws of a natural universe. They became observers of the many multi-verses around them. For time they were content with this. Soon however, a question popped into the council's mind? What is the truth of reality? Is it good? Is it evil? Is it somewhere in between? The council of twelve was split into three groups: Those who believed in good…those who believed in evil and those believed in neither.
This question and the factions it created among the Celestials perplexed them for eons. They continued to watch as mortals of good and evil struggled against each. Each faction claimed they were right when a mortal gained victory in their own universe. Still the debate raged almost devolving into all out war.
A Celestial by the name of Callus produced a plan to avoid this war. He spoke to the rest of the council that they should give the universe another thousand years and watch. If there was no clear winner by then…then they would meet again to discuss a plan of action. Today is that day.
Location: The Center of The Council of Creation.
A massive arena made for giants pulsing with energy that offers a soft light to the shadows that cloak those seated in their thrones. A single spotlight flashes against one throne. Upon it is an entity the size of a skyscraper seated in the cold metallic throne. His skin is also metallic in nature the same ebony color as the throne he seated in. He wears a black and white robe with a hood that covers most of his face. With his square robotic face are two sets of glowing eyes that pulse with the same golden energy as the citadel itself.
“Callus…there is still no victory.” A voice calls out from one of the thrones.
“THEN IT IS WAR.” Another angry voice calls out from a different shaded throne.
Callus raises a single hand to silence them all. “My fellow Celestials, if we go to war all of creation will face oblivion. I suggest a different course of action.”
“Have you not wasted a thousand years of our time alright!?” The angry voice spoke again.
“Let him at least speak.” A calm femme voice called out from a different throne.
“I am not asking you to wait any longer. I am asking you all to use a surrogate for our disagreement.” As he spoke a ball of light formed in his hand. He tossed it in the center of the empty arena and the light formed into many portals of images of people across the multiverse. Heroes, villains and everything in between.
There was chatter among the Celestials. Callus hand balled into a fist and hit the top of the arm of his throne, the sounds shattering the debate before it could even get started.
“This will be a contest of champions. We will all pick the strongest, most cunning and most gifted among the mortals. We place them in an arena that is under our control and make them fight. Who is left standing will be our answer. This will end our debate my brothers and sisters.” His voice rang out as the rest of the council approved of this action.
Callus' eyes focused on two sets of images. One of a certain set of colorful ponies. A certain group of friends and their mentors the sun and the moon. The other image was that armored knight standing on a barren wasteland. A slayer of gods….and one who holds….a DARK soul. This would be the beginning of…..The End.
Meanwhile in Ponyville:
Twilight was tossing and turning in her bed. She sat up from it covered in sweat. Panic eyes darted around the dark room. There was nothing but the crystal walls that surrounded her. She let a few deep breaths before finally letting the calm of the night take her yet again. This was the third night this had happened.
She didn’t turn on the light. She simply causes her purple horn to glow, lighting up the darkness. It was of course the dead of night. As it had been for the last few nights this happened. She was done with this and tomorrow she was going to ask Luna to watch her dreams. She could even remember them when she woke up. She woke up feeling…heavy as if something happened in a dream that was at the tip of her tongue but she couldn’t remember it.
A glass of water. That’s what she needed. She hopped out of bed and slowly began to make her way to the kitchen. The castle was cold at night. On top of that she was beat. Night after night this was taking its toll on her. The bags under her eyes were beginning to worry her friends. She always tried power though it and thought it was just growing into being an Alicorn princess.
As she entered the kitchen she was beginning to think this was more Alicorn thing. Something nagging at the back of her head. She even tried a recall spell and nothing happened. Not knowing what was going was eating more than missing sleep. As her magic lifted a glass out of the cupboard and a pitcher of ice water.
Voice echoed all around her. Breaking her concentration as the glass shattered against the kitchen floor.
“You have been chosen.” Several voices chanted in the air around. Her eyes scanned the room for the source of the voices yet their chanting began louder.
“W-what?” She was all she got out as a swirling mass of energy appeared around her and she vanished into thin air leaving nothing but a burn mark behind.

Chapter One: Introductions
Her eyes shot open and gasped leaving her throat. She quickly got to her feet even though they felt unstable. She was touching hard and cold concrete looking around her and she saw an empty loft of some kind. Pillars of concrete connected from the ground all the way up the ceiling lights flickering from above her. The other source of light were large windows that circled the building.
Twilight was confused. She was in a castle a moment ago. She was getting water from the kitchen and then…it felt like…hands all over her body. She shivered at the feeling. She shook her head and the looseness of her body finally left her. She begins to walk over to the windows nearby taking a peek outside.
What she saw was strange. What stood before her beyond the glass was pure marble city. skyscrapers and buildings of metal and concrete stretched out in all directions. Empty streets are where her eyes landed next. They looked like normal roads you see in big cities but there was no one there. No ponies at all.
It felt off. Everything felt off. Even magic felt strange here. She could feel it in the air. She took a step back from the window when she heard a voice call out from behind her.
“Hello, there.” The voice was masculine and cut though silent with its depth.
She turned quickly, jumping back from the window with magical energy wrapping around her horn in a protective manner also out of instinct.
“Woah! I mean you no harm.” The voice called out as he stepped into the light for her.
He was a tall man. Dressed in plate mail from head to toe. A blue tunic wrapped down his chest and opened at the legs. A brown scarf covered his neck. A golden crest was upon the tunic. The right shoulder had a pauldron exposed from the tunic along with the whole right gauntlet. Leather belts tied a number of pouches to his form. Both hands held up in front of his chest.
“W-who are you?” Twilight spoke stepping forward. “Where am I? What’s going on? AND What are you?”
“Well, I actually was hoping you would have known Madam. I, myself, just woke up here. As for who I am. I am sorry to say I don’t remember what my name is. BUT, I am human if that makes a difference. I think I am.” He spoke as if unsure on the subject himself.
“What’s a human? I have never seen anything like you before.” She shouted out as she stepped closer looking over him. Curiosity was in her nature at this moment.
“That makes two of us. I have never seen a talking horse before. Nor usually do they come in your color…but, you do have a brand on you though.” He nodded, catching the marking on her bottom.
“I am not HORSE. I am a pony and this is a cutie mark. Every pony knows that.” She replied with a furrowed brow.
“Is that like a birthmark for your people?” He questioned holding the chin of his helm.
“What’s a birthmark?” She asked, tilting her head.
“....Perhaps we get a bit off topic. Regardless…” He kneeled down in front of her offering his hand to her. “It is a pleasure to meet you. I have no name to give you but, what may I call you?”
She sat down looking at his hand sheepishly offering her own hoof as he shook it. “I am…Twilight. Twilight Sparkle.”
“Well, Miss Twilight. Perhaps we can travel together for now and see what has become of us. I have never seen such a place before. You seem more familiar with our surroundings than I.” He stood up from the ground looking out windows towards the scenery.
“Well it is definitely some kind of city like Manehattan. I have never seen anything like it before and it feels like it just keeps going and going.” She said looking back out the window.
“Hm. I don’t ever think I've seen a city like this before…from what hazy memories I can recall.” The Knight spoke, crossing his arms over his chest.
“You can’t even remember your own name?” She narrowed her eyes at him.
“Hm…” He rubbed the metal of his helm again. “Sadly no. I feel as if it is on the tip of my tongue but it escapes me. It is as if my memories are at the very edge as well but, there all messy.” He said, turning his head to meet her glaze. “I am sure I will remember something as we go.” His tone was positive, almost too upbeat for the situation they were in.
Twilight gave him a puzzled look as a response.
“We are not going to find much here. Miss Twilight, let's see if we can’t find our way to the street.” He said with vigor in his tone as if he was seizing the day.
“Rrrrrright.” Twilight replied. This was her best bet for now.
Twilight began to search the room with her new companion spotting two odd looking metal doors at the end of the room. It looked like some kind of elevator.
“Over here!” She spoke walking towards it.
“What is it?” He asked, walking a few steps behind it.
“It's an elevator. It should take us down to the bottom floor…hopefully.” She spoke unsure of anything at this point.
He paused for a moment. “......Ooo like a lift.” He rose a single finger into the air.
“....Y-yeah.” She replied.
That’s where there was ding from the elevator. The metal doors open up in front of Twilight. She stopped a good distance from the elevator with Knight behind her. What stood in the elevator was…another human. At least that's what she thought. This human looked alot different.
Pink hair tied into a bun in the back. These human bangs were longer on the left side than the right. She was female. She was wearing odd looking clothing, a white sports tank top that hugged her chest. She was also wearing white boxing sports with black spanx under them. Black fingerless boxing gloves covered her hands. Her black eyes had star-like pupils in them that were solely focused on Twilight.
“Twilight. Get back NOW!” The Knight called out.
Twilight turned her head back. “Why? What’s go-.” She was cut off.
The pink haired female rushed her in a blur of motions leaving the den on the floor of the elevator from the speed at which she moved. GONG. That sound rang out as something impacted metal in front of Twilight. Before she even knew what happened. The female was right in front of her. A blue shield with a golden crest was blocking the fist that came at Twilight face. The Knight was now in front of her blocking the blow.
“Oooh, you’re fast Mr. Tin Can.” The pink haired female spoke out with a bright smile on her face.
“WHAT’S GOING ON? ARE OTHER HUMANS LIKE THIS?” Twilight shouted back up as The Knight held his ground.
The pinked haired female chuckled. “I do love fresh meat. Let’s have some fun shall we….Mr. Tin Can.”
