Poison sat next to a campfire next to his ponies. They had completed their work, and their master would undoubtedly be pleased with them. Once he returned, Poison finished his incantation, letting out a black ominous cloud from all around them.
He stood up once the smoke dissipated. Snow fell around them as a blizzard was encroaching their camp. Poison stood up and stretched. He looked down at his men with a widening grin.
“We’ve done it. Years of planning have finally barred fruit.” Poison shouted over the harsh wind that stabbed at them like a dagger.
The surrounding ponies shouted in glee as they heard the declaration. Poison smirked. “Our master will rise again and take down the usurper who cast him out.”
The ponies shouted once more, excited at gaining their master back. “Now We prepare for his return, but tonight let's celebrate!”
Two stallions stood up from the crates they sat on and opened them with their swords. Pulling out a few bottles, they passed them around with a festive fervor. Poison pulled out two packs of marshmallows and, just like the stallions with the drinks, passed them around.
The storm picked up, and the snow fell harder. Despite the development, they still sang and converse. Poison took in his surroundings, the merriment made the cold seem less of the hash.
Poison looked over the ponies near the fire. An orange mare and red stallion stood next to each other, holding each other close with smiles on their faces. Across from the couple were two friends sharing a drink and talking about their foalhoods. Poison's eyes locked on a young stallion.
The colt had a crossbow on his back and a chest plate on. The colt was flirting with a mare who seemed to be enjoying the colt’s company. Poison stood up knowing what had to be done.
Trotting over to the two, he cleared his throat. “Forgive me madam, but I must speak to this young stallion alone.”
The mare nodded and Poison grabbed the colt. Pulling him to the side. Poison gave him a disappointed look. “You know you're supposed to be guarding with Blade.
“Sorry sir, but I just want to celebrate, you know.”
Poison let out a sigh. “I understand what we did is quite an accomplishment, but that does not excuse us from getting Lasy.”
The colt lowered his head and nodded. “I get back to it sir.”
Good lad”- Poison grabbed a bottle of wine and hooved it to him.- “Offer some to Blade he could use a swig.”
The Colt smirked. He saluted and ran into the darkness outside of the camp. He shook his head and looked over to his tent thinking of calling it a night. He saw the most beautiful mare he had ever laid eyes on. She gestured for him to come into the tent, and he did without question.
Trotting in he saw the heating ruins were active. Taking off his thick winter coat, he looked her over. She had a golden, flowing mane and snow-white fur making her the object of every stallion’s desire.
He looked into her breathtaking blue eyes with a smile on his lips. She gently pushed him down onto their shared cot. She took off her coat and lay on top of him. The mare nuzzled his chest and hummed to herself.
After a few moments, Poison spoke in a low flirtation tone. “What are you doing Polly?”
“I just want to celebrate my way. Is that all right with you, Pois?” she asked with an innocent grin on her face, knowing his answer already.
“I don’t mind.” he pulled her up to his eye level and gave her a kiss on her lips.
“We did pois everything can go back to what it used to be.”
“I couldn’t have done it without them or you, my love.”
“So what are going to do when he comes back?”
“We’ll have to be ready to fight, but then, after anything we want.”
She moved to the side of him, snuggling up and rubbing his chest. “Like what?”
“How about you decide the first course of action.”
She blushed.- “Really oh um.”- she stopped and hid her face in his fur.
He gently lifted her head and gave her another kiss. “There’s no need to be embarrassed, Polly.”
Her blush deepened. “I- I want you to marry me.”
She dashed her head to the side, only for it to be pulled back by an ebony hoof. “I would gladly marry you.”
He pulled her into a deep kiss. The couple not releasing till they finally need air. The two held each other in an embrace, slowly drifting off as the festivities raged beyond the tent.
The Frosty wind and falling snow made it hard for Crystal Blade to see. His lantern was the only thing that pierced through the darkness of night. The Frozen North had beasts and monsters roaming it at all hours. The fowl creatures have been coming to feed on them since their master was cast out.
Just then, a young stallion held step next to him and offered a bottle “wine.”
The colt’s smile would have melted any mare's heart, but Blade was no mare. He took the bottle and placed it in his saddlebags. Blade focuses on his surroundings while the young stallion shrugs.
“Alright then, more for you.” The stallion quipped.
“We need to be vigilant boy, you never know when our enemies will strike.”
“Do you really think anypony will be out here at this hour?”
“Yes”
The colt’s eyes widen, looking around the dark frozen wasteland around him. Only two things stood out to him. Blade and the camp, he saw nothing for miles besides that. He pulled out his crossbow and held it at the ready.
“So uh what do we have to look out for.”
“The usurper's army, Frost giants, yak smashing party, and many more.”
What do you think big stallion going to do when he gets back?”
Our Master will take back what we lost. What we do then is up to him.”
Alright then, you think he would give us some chest candy for this.”
Blade chuckled “The work is payment enough.”
“Still, a medal would be nice.”
Blade thought about this for a moment, then smiled. “Well, perhaps one wouldn't hurt”
“Now talking my language.”
The two shared a chuckle before something cut them off, moving in the dark. Blade pulled out his sword while the young stallion aimed his crossbow. The two scanned their surrounding constantly moving back and forth as the figure moved in the dark.
“Show yourself!” Blade shouted over the raging winds.
The figure stopped moving. It stood in front of them, just far enough to not be seen. The two only saw glowing slit blue eyes, The Colt aimed his crossbow at the figure while the blade held his sword at the ready.
“Step into the light slowly.” Blade command.
The eyes got closer. The intense gaze did not let up for a second. Blade pointed the sword closer while the colt shook in fear. The figure entered the light to reveal a stallion in his early fifties. He was a unicorn with white fur and an electric blue mane. He had a twisted grin on his face, made worse by his razor-sharp fangs.
A sense of dread builds up in the two stallions’ hearts as they recognize him. Blade moved to the young stallion’s side, getting into a defensive stance. The white stallion approached them, a grin still plastered on his face.
“Go! warn the others. The usurper found us.” Blade orders the stallion beside him.
The colt turned around, only to hear flesh being ripped apart. Turning around for a quick moment, he saw the white stallion covered in blood holding the severed head of his comrade.
The colt bolted, desperately trying to get away from the stallion. He stopped however when he noticed he was floating. The colt felt himself to be pulled back to where he came from. He desperately tossed his limbs around, trying to get out of the magical hold.
Finally, he was brought before the white stallion. The colt trembled in fear as a sickly blue glow disrupted, dropping him to the ground. The colt backed away in fear as the white stallion slowly approached.
“I heard you bring back your master.” the white stallion stated.
The colt’s heart thumped hard against his chest. “Y-your too l-late”
The white stallion grabbed the colt and glared at him. The stallion opened his mouth and bit down on the colt artery, making him let out a blood-curdling scream. A torrent of blood poured out of the colt's neck into the white stallion's maw.
Poison and Polly woke up to a scream in the camp. Polly trembled in fear, holding tightly to Poison. He gently pushed her off of him and grabbed a sword. He gestured for her to stay quiet, to which she nodded.
He walked out of his tent and saw a horrific sight. The two guards he had stationed to defend the camp stood there. Their heads swapped blood pouring from their necks. The blood stops suddenly and then reverses up into the sky.
The blood moved down into the darkness, and the tents lit on fire. Screams came from the tents as ponies who had fallen asleep were now burning alive. The burning tent lit up the area surrounding them. a white stallion stood there with a large ball of blood floating next to him.
The mares in the group screamed and ran in the other directions. The stallion disappeared for a second, then reappeared, covered in crimson liquid. Poison looked at the small herd of mares.
The mares were torn to shreds. An amalgam of legs and organs was strewn around the area. Some hung on intact tents while others lay at the hooves of the stallion. The stallions let out a war cry and charged at the white stallion. He smirked as the first pony reached him.
To Poison, his stallion fell quicker than he could blink. When he opened his eyes, he saw a horrendous sight. Heads were ripped off their shoulders. Legs were torn clean off their bodies. The white stallion stood five hoof lengths away from him, dripping in blood. The stallion was one poison knew all too well. They plastered his face all over his old home.
The stallion in front of him was far different from the image of his home. The stallion in from his home was clean and kind. Now the stallion before him was dripping with blood. The kindness was gone, replaced with a cruel, sadistic smile.
Poison's heart thumped against his chest. His blood felt like ice and sweat dripped off his brow. The white stallion opened his mouth and the blood ball thinned itself and flew into his mouth.
“You will pay for killing my brethren.”
“They killed themselves. Now surrender. This is your one chance.”
“I will never submit to a demon like you.”
Poison galloped at the white stallion. He swung his sword, only to strike the snow below. A shadow overtook him. Looking up poison heart dropped. The white stallion hit poison hard enough to send him through his own tent.
Polly galloped to Poison. The ladder wheezed as he felt his ribcage shatter. Tears build up in her eyes as she saw the blood leaking from his mouth. He lifted his head and saw two glowing blue eyes approaching them. Poison forced himself to his legs. He grabbed his love and did his best to put as much distance between them and the monster chasing them.
The two galloped through the blizzard. The two shivered as the cold wind cut into them. Poison scanned the wasteland and luckily for them, they found a cave. He pulled Polly into the cave.
As soon as they entered, Poison immediately fell down to the crystal floor. Polly ran to Poison’s side. She shook him. He groaned his pain. She backed away from him and looked around. Polly saw a large broken piece of crystal. She ran over and grabbed it.
She galloped back to him. “Come on Poison, get up.”
He forced himself up and grabbed the crystal piece. He looked over to Polly, who had tears in her eyes. “Polly, my sweat, we will get through this.”
Her eyes filled with a small glimmer of hope. “Y-you really think so.”
“Yes w-will,” he lied, trying to reassure her.
“Aww, isn’t that cute” a familiar ominous voice said.
Poison and Polly looked around fearfully. The two finally focused on the cave entrance. Hoof steps moved closer to them as the stallion who had brought so much destruction walked in.
The white stallion no, the demon, held a wine bottle. “This good wine, your brethren had really good tasted.”
Poison took a defensive stance in front of Polly. The demon lit up his horn, which glowed an icy blue. The piece of crystal exploited, sending shards of crystal into Poison’s body. He fell to the ground. Polly moved over him, shielding him from the demon.
The demon grabbed Polly by the neck and lifted her into the air. Poison was helpless to do anything as the demon held his love’s life in his hoof. He felt the blood pouring from his wounds, and he realized there was only one way this could end.
“I surrender!” Poison shouted.
The demon stopped and looked down at him. When Poison noticed this, he continued, “Let her go, take me in her sted. I beg you.”
The demon seems to think about it for a moment. He then forced Polly’s head to the side and bit down on her neck, sending blood in all directions. Tears fell from Poison’s eyes as the demon drained her of her blood.
The demon tossed the corpse to the side. He looked down at Poison who was weeping silently. The demon's grin disappeared as he saw this. Pulling out his sword and with a quick motion, removed the stallion’s head.
The demon pulled out the wine bottle and with icy blue magic; he pulled the blood from the two corpses and injected it into the wine. He levitated the two corpses together, and then, with a quick spark of magic, the corpses lit on fire. The demon turned to the entrance and walked out.
A young stallion clad in crystal vanguard armor walked next to his commanding officer. The CO had a lantern in his hoof with his long dagger sheath on his side. The young stallion looked at his own weaponry. He had a spear in his hoof with a shield on his back.
As the two moved further into the frozen wasteland. The young stallion shivered as the winds picked up once more. The CO noticed this and chuckled. “What’s your name rook”
Private Crystal Spike sir.”
The CO chuckled. “Your parents were really into hero worship, weren't they?”
Crystal blushed. “I um don’t know what you mean.”
“Sure you don’t”
Private Crystal looked around the darkness. The moment they came into the frozen wasteland, their leader wanted them to spit up to get to the target location. They spit up in three teams of two. The two came across the bright light in the distance.
The two stallions galloped to the light and stopped dead when they saw what it was. A camp was lit on fire, corpses littered the ground and gore was strewn about. Crystal stood there frozen in shock.
The CO moved over to one corpse and looked it over. “All right Private look around and grab anything useful.”
Crystal was routed in place. When the CO cleared his throat Crystal went over to a corpse. Somepony had pulverized its head and ripped off its foreleg. He fought back his dinner and moved on to the other corpse.
This one was more identifiable. It was a stallion with his guts ripped out. Somepony appeared to have ripped out his eye. He saw two puncture wounds on its neck. Crystal shook his head, then same as the first moved on.
This one was a mare. She had her jaw missing and a hole in her chest. Crystal looked around and noticed a heart nearby. He looked around and saw so many mutilated corpses, but then noticed something far more horrific.
“Rook, what’s the status?” The CO asked.
“The bodies have been torn to pieces and their blood is missing.”
“I’ll right then. There are some saddlebags over there. Check them out.”
Crystal nodded and trotted over to them, right when four stallions with vanguard armor approached the camp. The CO approached them and they began with a friendly chat. Crystal opened the saddlebags and saw a few scrolls and books. He pulled out the contents right when he heard something that made his blood run cold.
“The Prince really did a number on them.”
“Services them right. Sombra worshiping filth.”
“Wish we got some action for a change. We could have some fun for once.”
Crystal looked up and saw a sergeant and two corporals conversing. The Sergeant looked at him and trotted over. He callously stepped on a few corpses on his way over to him.
“What did you find, colt?”
Crystal looked down at the books and saw a language he didn’t know written on the cover. “Um, these old books sir, I um can’t read them though.”
The sergeant looked over the shivering private for a moment before nodding. “Good, fine, and make sure your heating enchantments are working. You're shivering like a dog left out in the cold”
Crystal saluted and moved back to checking the saddlebag. He searched through the other one right when he felt a gust of wind behind him. The private turned around and saw the prince standing there.
He had a purple royal cloak on. His eyes were glowing a faint blue while his fangs were on display for everyone to see. He stood a full head taller than any stallion in the group. Crystal bowed in respect, shaking in fear.
The Prince had a look of disguise on his face but quickly faded. “Rise my subject.”
Crystal stood up shaking. The Prince's eye bore into him sending shivers down his spine. “S-sorry, sir.”
The prince gave a smile that did not put Crystal at ease. “It's fine. Now what did you find?”
“Oh um, I found these books and um nothing else.” he gestured toward the small piles of books.
He picked one up only for it to be enveloped in a blue aura. The magic was cold, sending tingles down his hoof as if his blood was rushing toward the magic. Crystal pulled his hoof back, accidentally hitting his CO in the muzzle.
The CO glared at Crystal, who backed up. Moving backward, he tripped over a fallen corpse. He let out a scream and crawled away. The sergeant and his corporals laugh at him.
The CO raised a hoof a was about to bring it down on Crystal only for The Prince to materialise right next to him holding the CO hoof. The prince had the book open but quickly closed it. He lit up his horn and the icy blue aura returned. They enveloped the corpses.
A foul sent violated Crystal’s nostrils. The corpses combusted into flames and the prince turned to him. The prince held his hoof out to Crystal. He took it only to hiss as his hoof felt like it was stabbed into. He stood up and examined his hoof. Blood trickled down it.
The prince looked at the blood on his hoof and licked it off. “We're done here, we can pick off the last one tomorrow night.”
“Yes, sir.” they said in unison.
The group of six trotted away from the burning camp. Supports to the tents broke falling to the ground. The cloth of the tent joined it in the flames. The one lone tent stood. It had a massive hole in it and fires licking at its base. The tent caught fire, burning everything that was inside. A photo depicting a couple. The two stood before a crystal heart with a smile on their faces. The photo caught an ember and then faded into flames.
Flurry Heart stood near the border of the empire, her Katana in hoof. Next to her was her mother. She had refused to go inside despite Flurry’s and her own guards. The Two mares stood in the blizzard with nothing but their cloaks.
Flurry looked over to her Mother in concern. “Mom, please go to the castle.”
“I want to see your father?”
“Mom, please, not tonight. We had a long day.”
“That’s what I want to talk about.”
“If you want to talk about that, then talk to me. Just go back to the castle and we’ll talk.”
“No, Flurry, this is something I have to say to him.”
Flurry let out a sigh. “This isn’t about work, is it?”
“It’s a part of it.”
Flurry was about to respond when they saw blue glowing eyes piercing the darkness. Flurry aimed her Katana in its direction. After a few minutes, several silhouettes appeared in the storm. When they came into view properly, she sheathed her sword.
Flurry approached her and wrapped him in an embrace. He hugged back, a warm smile claiming his features. Princess Cadence cleared her throat. Flurry and The Prince spread the ladder, giving her a smile.
Turning around, her father with a toothy smile showing his fangs. “Good work gentle-colts you're all dismissed for the night.”
A young stallion galloped the moment he heard the dismissal. Flurry unfurled her wings and was about to take off after him, but stopped. She looked over at her parents. They were glaring at each other, having a hushed argument. Flurry rolled her eyes and flew after the stallion.
Crystal turned the corner into an alleyway. His heart was thumping against his chest. He took deep breaths, trying to calm down. He burned wing beats, then hooves hitting the crystal floor.
He turned over to the street and saw the most beautiful mare in all the lands. She had soft pink fur with a purple and blue main. She wore an emerald cloke with green heart earrings. Flurry offered him a reassuring smile as she trotted over to him.
“What wrong my little pony?”
“Uh, nothing, princess. I’m just um jittery, that’s all.”
Flurry chuckled. “Well, first assignments are always nerve-racking, but typically before you go out.”
Crystal blushed in embarrassment. “ Sorry Princess.”
“Don’t worry about it but I would like to know what’s going on.”
He looked into her eyes. The soft, sparkling blue orbs gave him some comfort. He let out a sigh and then cleared his throat.- “Something attacked the disciples of Sombra. They say that the Prince did it but..”- a shiver went down his spine.
Flurry placed a hoof on his back, patting him on the back. “The bodies we came across. T-they were torn to shreds. How could the Prince do something like that?”
Flurry’s face fell slightly, knowing exactly what he was talking about. “It’s hard to have to see things like that.”
Crystal looked into her eyes. “Is this normal for him?”
Flurry looked away. “Yeah, but he only wants to protect us. He just overdoses it a bit.”
“I saw heads removed from bodies, Legs twisted and torn off, stomachs ripped out. It’s awful.” Tears fell from Crystal’s eyes.
As the young stallion wept, Flurry’s stomach lurched. Images flash in her mind of torn throats out and impaled corpses on pikes littering the streets. Her father was covered in blood wearing his crimson crown blood being poured into the streets as he watched on in glee.
“It could have been worse, trust me”
“I don't think I can do this.” The stallion looked up at her with a horrified expression.
Flurry felt sympathy for the Stallion. Only a special type of pony can handle things like that. Flurry wrapped the stallion in a hug to comfort him. After a minute of weeping, he finally stopped.
She looked at the stallion with sympathy. He was about two years older than her and clearly way out of his depth. “Do you think you can stay in service?”
He whipped his eyes, then nodded. Flurry smiled at him and gestured for him to follow her. The two walked down the road. Flurry looked around the streets, flashes of blood rivers, and organs decorating the building appearing in her head.
Trotting down the dark corridors of the palace, Crystal looked over to Flurry with an uneasy expression. “Princess, where are we going?”
“To the Captain, I’m going to transfer you to the wolf pack.”
His eyes widen-“Princess, you don’t have to I will be fine as a standard guard.”-He said nervously.
“It’ll be a waste of your talent. It’s not easy to get into my Dad’s Vanguard if you qualify for his, you qualify for mine.” Flurry said leaving no room for argument.
Crystal let out a sigh “As you commanded my Princess”
The two turned the corner and knocked on the first door of the hall. When no response came Flurry knocked once more. After a few minutes, Flurry Heart let out a sigh. “Guess he went home.”
“It’s two in the morning princess I can come back when the sun is up, we can transfer me then.”
“Well, I know where we can still get one.”
“But it’s late princess and-” Flurry cut him off patting him on the head.
“I know you’re tired and I am too, but if we don’t get your paperwork done now, then the next time you have a chance is in the next six months,” Flurry explained.
“Oh, okay then.”
Flurry grabbed his hoof and pulled him to the other end of the hall. Turning the corner they didn’t notice the blue glowing eyes that kept its gaze on them. Flurry moved to a section of the castle that had no guards. This made Crystal nervous.
Flurry lit up her horn and disabled the magical wards that were littered all over the hall. The two arrived in front of a wooden double door. This was a contrast to the Crystal Palace. Flurry engaged the wards once more and pulled out a hairpin and a file. She lowered herself to the lock and picked away at it. Crystal's eyes widened as she did this. He looked around, trying to see if anyone was watching.
He turned to her and spoke in a low voice. “Princess, what are you doing?”
“Just opening a door. I don’t have a key too.”
How do you know how to do this?”
“Let’s just say Uncle Discord is a bad influence on me.”
The door opened, and Flurry smiled at him. Flurry and Crystal trotted into a room that was as an outlier as its entrance was. The walls and floor were made of oak wood. There were four bookshelves, two against the wall and two spiting the room. Flurry trotted past the bookshelves and into a work area.
Crystal followed her only to stop in place. His eyes locked on a large painting that was above a fireplace. The painting depicted a family. A young alicorn filly sitting on a white stallion’s back. The stallion had razor-sharp fangs and a steel-long sword held to the ground. Next to the two was an alicorn mare sitting on a throne.
Flurry tossed a log onto the fireplace. Her horn lit up in a yellow aura the logs then combusted into flames the room gained an orange glow. The crackling of the fire gives a soothing atmosphere.
Crystal felt sweat falling down his forehead, looking around in fear. Flurry saw his fear and approached him. “Is everything alright?”
Crystal's heart rate increased as he scanned the room. Flurry approached him and held his hoof. She got him to focus on her and she breathed with him. A deep inhale, then a long exhale. After running this cycle a few times, Crystal got his breathing under control.
“Are you okay?” Flurry asked him still holding his hoof.
“Yeah, just um is this room your father's”
Flurry looked down and nodded. “I didn’t know my dad scared you that much.”
“I still see the dead when I close my eyes.”
Flurry gained a determined look. “I’ll pay for any therapy you might need, I’ll get you transferred and give you time to recover for this.”
He nodded, Flurry let go of his hooves and trotted over to a work desk in the back end of the room. Crystal sat there looking around. A massive shadow came over his form and rolled out of the way. Looking around frantically, he realized there was no one there.
Flurry looked around the room, searching for what could have frightened Crystal so much. When she saw nothing, she lit her horn and scanned the room. She sensed no sign of another pony in the room but she knew better than to trust a scan spell. Flurry unsheathed her Katana and examined the room.
“Get behind me”
Crystal felt embarrassed as he didn’t protest her order. The two did a sweep around the room. They came across a large mirror. Flurry saw a ripple run through the glass. She approached it with some trepidation.
Looking into the mirror, she saw something strange. Crystal was lifted into the air with a horrified look. She turned around as quickly as she could, only for a large gust of wind to force her to close her eyes. When she opened her eyes, she saw a trail of blood leading out of the study.
She heard a scream, galloping out the door. She saw the stallion lying on the ground, shivering. Approaching him, she looked him over. He was bleeding from his foreleg, a puddle slowly filling from under him. She lit up her horn and cast a healing spell.
Shining Armor saw his daughter rush to the stallion’s side. He rolled his eyes and turned around, only to run into a pink hoof pressing a paper on his chest. He looked up to the owner, who glared at him.
“Really, Dad!” Flurry shook her head.
“What are doing bringing a stallion to my study?”
She gestured at the paper. Looking down at it Shining let out a sigh. “You’re transferring him.”
“Yes.”
“He’s a soft stallion, hon. I don’t know why you would want him as one of your wolves.”
“Dad, he got in your vanguard that's not soft.”
“He couldn’t even handle this assignment and you expect him to hunt monsters?”
“You went too far, Dad.”
Really, I was dealing with fools who refused to surrender. I was defending myself.”
“And let me guess tore them to pieces.”
He groaned, “Your mother already chewed me out for this.”
“Can you blame her? Sombra wouldn't have any followers if you didn’t massacre those protesters.”
“Protesters!? They tried to kill you and your mother. I was just protecting you.”
“A few bad actors don't mean everypony has to pay for it.”
He growled, hearing all of this before.- “I’ll sign the paper and we drop this conversation.”- he placed his hoof on her cheek.- “I don’t want to fight with my little girl.”
Flurry looked at him. Flashes moved through her head of her father covered in blood with a psychotic smile etched onto his features. She looked away from him and let out a shaky sigh.
“Okay, I’ll get Crystal back to the barracks.”
Flurry trotted around the corner, avoiding meeting his eyes. He let out a sigh and muttered “Good night, sweetie.”
Shining trotted into his room. The bed was constructed of the finest silks. the pillows were made of a smooth fabric. He sat down at a desk and filled out the form. He pulled out the wine bottle and levanted two glasses over to himself.
As he finished up the document, he heard the door open. Cadence walked in giving him a death glare. Using his magic, he opened the wine and poured it into both glasses. He levitated one to her, but she pushed it to the side.
“Get out.”
He let out a sigh “Honey, please.”
“No, Shining, You did it again.”
“What did the report say this time?” He asked disinterestedly.
“When discussing the dead, the report referred to them as ‘torn apart’. Then went into detail and how they looked.” Tears build up in her eyes.
Shining Armor let out a sigh. He stood up and wrapped her in a hug. She hit his chest and tried to get him to let her go. He shushed her, petting her on the head. Not what to hurt him. She wept into his chest.
When he loosened his grasp, she looked him in the eyes. “When does this stop, Shiny? Please tell me, when does it stop?”
Shining Armor wiped a tear from her cheek. He pulled her into a kiss. Pulling back and give her a soft smile. “It stops when my two girls are safe.”
Tears fell from Cadence’s eyes. “Promise”
“I promise.” He pulled her into another kiss.
He levitated the wine back to the desk. He gently pushed her to the bed and kissed her neck. Cadence looked at Shining as he went further down her body. Despite everything, she couldn’t get the descriptions of the dead out of her head. She felt a lick in a very sensitive area. Disgust and horror enveloped her as she looked down at her stallion.
