Around 2-3 years has passed since Spike and Lloyd's battle against the Overlord, and all of Ninjago was saved, everyone has been taking it easy since the fated battle happened, and has tried moving on with their lives. Spike's been often going around Ninjago with Lloyd to make sure there's no trouble every now and then, and Allison has been getting better with fighting since, while she still has struggles trying to turn invisible, she's getting closer to learning Spinjitzu, and Spike's going to be with her every step of the way.

But outside of that, Spike has been raising Allison like a father still, and he and the other ninja took some jobs as teacher's since they haven't had anyone to fight, while Spike misses his home very much, and Twilight and his friends, he was happy he had a life and family here that would help him through it. But it wasn't all positives, Julien had sadly passed away for good out of old age, but they all know he passed on peacefully after finally being with his son again, while Zane has had a bit to process, the other's are always there to support him.

But recently, Spike's just wished he and his friends had more to do again since they've only been teacher's, and not having much to do outside of it, but little did he know, that today would give him exactly what he wants..

We open to a flashback of the final battle between the Overlord and Spike and Lloyd, they the two of them unleash they're true potential once again and fully unlock the power within them, it was one of the most fulfilling moments in their lives.
"The Ultimate Battle.. the battle.. that would end all battle's.." Kai narrated as the footage shows the day Spike and Lloyd defeated the Overlord and saved Ninjago while we see the last moments Spike and his family had .

"It feels like ages ago, after the Golden Ninja and Master of Crystal defeated the Overlord, much of Ninjago City was left in ruin.." Kai continued as we see how much damage the city was dealt with because of the Stone Army and the Overlord.

"It was a time to reflect on our past, and built to our future." Kai said as we cut to a week later after the battle happened, and all the people of the city was working as hard to rebuild they're home while working under a genius named Cyrus Borg.

Great work people! Together we can do it! Transportation group, align with engineering!" Borg instructed as workers put a sign back up as we see month's flash by, and that Ninjago was completely rebuilt and had become even greater then ever.

"Ninjago City soon became.. New Ninjago City. It was the center of great technological advancements." Kai said as we see multiple new things be built like floating cars and highly advanced tech that Equestria couldn't reach for a very long time. But even with all of this good stuff coming thanks to Borg, since the battle happened a year ago, there hasn't been anything too big that required the help of Spike or the ninja..

"But without an enemy to fight, the age of the Ninja.. came to an end.." Kai said with regret as we see a small shot of a dessert before the camera suddenly pins to a cut of Jay walking into the shower with a camera while someone was singing until he noticed him..

"Hey! How about a little privacy you..!" Kai said with embarrassment as the footage stops while multiple kids laugh seeing this as Kai was trying to show them the results of what's happened.

"What?! This isn't supposed to be in here! Light's please!" Kai asked as the lights came back on and he tried getting the tape out, but only screwed up and made it roll across the room.

"Agh, seriously?!" Kai asked with frustration while another student just walked into the room.

"Come quick! Mr Zane's on the fritz!" The kid announced which made everyone run out of the room.

The kid wasn't wrong as Zane was somehow being remotely controlled by a kid who had a special remote just as Kai, Cole, and Allison walked into the room.

"What's going on here?!" Cole asked with an upset look until he saw what was happening with Zane.

"Brad got a new remote from New Ninjago City, and it's controlling Mr Zane!" One of them answered while Allison slithered up and took the remote.

"Hey!" Brad said with annoyance as Allison tried stopping this.

"Ugh, why would they allow things like this to be made?!" Allison asked with frustration while pressing multiple button's.

"Hurry up Allison, please!" Zane begged as his body was sparking and moving around rapidly.

"Let me see that!" Cole said as he took it from her and just threw the thing on the ground which broke it, and that finally made Zane go back to normal which made them all sigh with various reactions.

"You alright uncle Zane?" Allison asked as she helped him up who was catching his breath.

"I am now.. thanks.." Zane said gratefully while the kids looked upset.

"Mr Cole is the worst." Brad said as he looked towards Cole for breaking the remote.

"I heard that!" Cole said with annoyance while Allison hissed at the others for doing this to him.

"Next time you do this to Zane, no tech at all, understand?!" Allison hissed which made the kids a bit scared and they nodded in agreement hearing it.

"Calm down Allison, it's probably just this once, what time is it?" Cole asked just before the school bell rung and all the kids quickly looked excited and ran out of the room for playtime.

"I think it's recess.." Allison replied with relief while they all sat down.

"Thank goodness, that's my favorite time of the day.." Cole said as they all sighed with exhaustion from this work they've been doing.

Everyone made they're way to the break room to rest for a bit, Spike was also here too since he didn't have much to do with Lloyd here, but he's still had to take care of Allison and the school since they were teaching here now.
"Tough day huh guys?" Spike asked as he took out some cups of pudding for them all to have for a little lunch.

"Your telling me, those kids are like rabbit's, they're always running around and won't stop!" Cole said with exhaustion while Spike and Allison sat next to eachother again.

"It's been hard for us dad, we've just been super busy with all these kids, and even if I'm supposed to be a student here too, I still have training to do with Wu every now and then." Allison said as they saw Wu was getting some Tea in another room.

"And we're having another session at dawn tomorrow, best prepare yourself young one!" Wu said from the distance which made her groan even more.

"It's alright Allison, even with being the Master of Crystal and all that, me and Lloyd still have our hands full ever since that battle happened, I saved the Crystal Empire before and was praised for it, but this is something completely different.." Spike said as he laid back to rest after all he's had to work with.

"You gonna be heading out again later Spike?" Jay asked while he had a second spare cup for Nya.

"Around the next class most likely, unless something comes up, I'm gonna be doing another fly around Ninjago on my Elemental Dragon to meet up with Lloyd and all that.." Spike said with an exhausted look from how much he's done it.

"Hey, at least you can still use your powers Spike, you and Lloyd get to go all around Ninjago, and accept rewards while we're still stuck here as teacher's. I miss our Elemental Weapons.." Jay said sadly as they stopped working after the fight, presumably because they had finished they're purpose, and weren't needed anymore.

"You guys seriously haven't learnt to control your powers without them yet? It's been over 2 years! I started to do that even without my Golden Weapon, how come you guys can't?" Spike asked while Cole looked annoyed hearing it.

"Some people just progress slower then others, don't forget you and Lloyd had unlocked them in a much different way then we might." Cole reminded which Spike could understand.

"Cole's right Spike, we all progress differently in our lives, we just need to wait for the right moment until it happens." Zane assured just as they heard the door open and saw Nya come into the room looking exhausted from all the work.

"Why is it that whenever I'm teaching the class, I feel like none of the boys are listening to me?" Nya asked with an annoyed look which made Allison shrug in response.

"Even after I got aged up, I still feel like I'm more mature then them somehow.. " Allison said as she shook her head hearing that.

"Hey Nya, I uh, got you a spare pudding cup." Jay said nervously which made her cross her arms again.

"What did we talk about?" Nya reminded while referring to a little talk they had a few months back.

"Oh, right, boundaries, sorry." Jay apologized while Nya remembered why she came here.

"So, did you guys hear the news?" Nya asked which got everyone excited.

"Ooh, there's trouble?!" Kai asked with a fighting pose.

"Danger?!" Jay asked hopefully too.

"An emergency?!" Zane asked with an eager look too.

"A new bad guy to fight?!" Spike asked with a confident look while summoning a sword with his crystal powers.

"Is it a new menace?!" Cole joined in with Spike while all of them looked ready for another possible adventure.

"No, we all got clearance for a fieldtrip!" Nya announced which made most of them groan again hearing it while Allison was interested.

"What kind of fieldtrip is it?" Allison asked while she finished her pudding cup before throwing it away.

"This is a field trip.. to Borg Industries!" Nya answered which made Jay gasp with amazement.

"Not.. the Borg Industries! Home to the super genius Cyrus Borg?! Inventor of the Hovercar and everything else cool in this world?!." Jay asked excitedly before Zane kicked him out of the world he was stuck in." Ow!" Jay said with pain while he rubbed his leg from that.

"Borg industries? Even I haven't been there yet, I've been to New Ninjago City and that a couple times, but never directly met with Borg himself." Spike said with surprise which got Allison excited.

"Really? What have you seen there dad?! What cool tech have they made?!" Allison asked excitedly which made Spike chuckle again.

"It's better to just see it! And let me tell you, it's quite the sight! At least I'll have a little break from flying for today, come on guys!" Spike said as he was ready to go, but Kai only sighed and felt a bit annoyed with this while he tried getting some tea too.

"Come on guys, who cares about Cyrus Borg? If you ask me, people should concern themselves with lessons of the past, not on all this disposable stuff of tomorrow when.." Kai couldn't finish his sentence before he saw everyone else was already gone and felt excited for the trip while Kai sighed with annoyance seeing it.

Everyone made they're way onto the school bus and were just about ready to go, but some of the kids felt a bit upset that they couldn't get a cooler ride.
"Why can't we take Ultra Dragon? Or the Ultra Sonic Radar?" Brad asked with an upset look while Spike sat up in the front.

"We took the Radar apart for better mechanical parts to repair the Bounty when we can, that thing took a really bad hit to the point it needs a total remodel, but that's not gonna happen for a long time unfortunately. And Ultra Dragon went back to his home after all was said and done, I gave him a bit of my power for protection if he needed it, but it's likely we're not seeing him again for a long time." Spike answered which made them groan with disappointment hearing it.

"It's just a bus guys, grow up, everyone has to use them at some point." Allison said as she hated these kids were making something so simple frustrating.

"Not to mention that this bus has.. one of these!" Cole announced while he took out a microphone.

"Pretty cool huh? I'm on a microphone! I am the MC! the Mighty.. Cole!" Cole announced while he shook his back which the others groaned at.

"Mr Cole is the worst!" Another kid said again which Cole heard.

"I heard that! again!" Cole said as he sat next to Kai who was wondering what they're gonna be seeing.

"So, we're going back to the city huh? We haven't been there since.. you know." Kai reminded as the door closed finally.

"Yesterday is gone, tomorrow has not yet come, we only have today. Or else this offer expires! Get a move on Nya!" Wu ordered as she started up the bus.

"Eye eye sensei!" Nya replied as she soon started driving the bus away from the school and too New Ninjago City, while it was a first time for most of them, for Spike, it was just another Tuesday.

It took quite a while for the bus to reach the city again, but when they did, everyone was in complete awe of seeing the amazing futuristic city.
"Twilight and the others would be jealous that they didn't get to see this! Can't imagine Equestria ever reaching technology this amazing!" Spike said with a smirk as they saw so much advanced tech and machine's go by, there was highly advanced mech's and jet's in the higher areas, the buildings looked so much bigger and like something out of a fantasy, and every single thing here was given a huge upgrade with the tech in some way.

"You've gotten to see this place dad?!" Allison asked with amazement while they looked around the place.

"Yeah, it's really an amazing sight.." Spike replied as he took in this amazing sight in front of him.

"Man.. you leave town a short while and.." Nya said with awe as she was about to turn around just until the bus hit something which made it stop completely.

Everyone got out of the bus and saw they crashed into a mail delivery truck that was advanced like everything else.
"Ugh, who here still uses wheel's anymore? Get with the program!" The guy said with frustration while Cole walked up to the side.

"Don't worry, we'll free you up, time for some old school muscle tool!" Cole said proudly as he went up and lifted the large truck up just until a larger mech came from behind and towered over all of them.

"Stand back pedestrian." The mech said in a stern voice which got everyone's attention seeing it.

"Who are you calling pedestrian?" Cole asked with an offended look while the other's walked out of it.

"They're just security mech's Cole, they're only doing they're jobs." Spike assured while he looked at the mech who looked at him a bit strangely.

"I guess that means our help is not welcome." Zane said with surprise seeing the huge mech.

"Well, I prefer traveling the old fashioned way, on foot. And besides, it's not like we don't know where we're going." Wu said as they could see Borg Industries right in front of them all.

"Yeah, REAL hard to miss." Allison said sarcastically as they all walked towards the tower.

Everyone made they're way into the tower and could see a very tall elevator leading up to the very top of it, while a new looking android with silver hair has come up to them for a little greeting.
"Welcome to Borg Industries, I'm Pixal. Cyrus's Primary. Interactive. External. Assistant. Lifeform. I am sorry to hear about the traffic incident." Pixal greeted as she already knew about the incident that happened seconds ago.

"Man, news travel's fast here." Cole said with surprise hearing it.

"Everything in New Ninjago City is fully automated and interconnected. Your antiquated bus should be ready shortly." Pixal explained as she soon turned to Zane and had noticed he was like her in ways.

"You are Zane, a droid like me, tell me, what does Z.A.N.E. Stand for?" Pixal asked thinking he had initials like her.

"I stand for peace, freedom, and courage to all who threaten.." Zane said right as Jay came up and interrupted him knowing he'd go on for longer then he needed too if he continued.

"She means your name tinhead!" Jay corrected while Spike slightly chuckled a bit.

"You know, Initials?" Spike reminded as that's what each letter in her name is.

"Oh, sorry, I guess, I'm.. just.. Zane." Zane answered a bit nervously while looking at her.

"Permission to scan?" Pixal asked with a hopeful tone.

"Uh.. permission granted?" Zane asked nervously while they saw eachother in they're eyes.

"Heheh, check it out, Zane's got an admirer." Jay teased which made Allison chuckle a bit.

"Wonder where this is gonna go then." Allison replied while they saw Pixal scan his body.

"Your hardware is outdated, and your processor is slow and incompatible with ours. Peculiar, all droids must recharge our battery's, yet curiously I'm unable to locate your power source, tell me, what powers you?" Pixal asked as she found him specifically very interesting.

"I.. uh.. I don't know honestly.." Zane replied with a nervous look on what's happening right now.

"Mr Borg would like to see the ninja and Master of Crystal on the 100th floor, and the other's will follow me for the rest of the tour." Pixal instructed while Allison was following Nya with the students.

"Be safe with them Allison!" Spike advised as Kai finally got his leg freed after it got stuck on the door.

"You too dad!" Allison said as she slithered off while Zane was a bit distracted with Pixal again while showing a little smile.

"Zane, you with us?" Cole reminded which made Zane regain focus before he went up to the elevator Spike and the other's were in.

"Well, time to meet Cyrus Borg himself finally." Spike said hopefully as the elevator started to go upwards which gave them a view of the whole city the larger they went up it. But they hadn't noticed the camera was looking directly at them, and had identified each of them.

"Black Ninja, Blue Ninja, White Ninja, Red Ninja, and the Crystal Ninja, Golden Ninja not identified, wait for action." The computer said as it couldn't find Lloyd and waited for the right moment.

Allison, Nya and the other students were being shown around the tower, and they all could see just how amazing all the advanced tech is that's in development.
"Mr Borg believes that technology is the key to making our dreams come true." Pixal explained while everyone was amazed with how much has changed here.

"Man.. to think this all came in so fast... it's amazing.." Allison said with amazement while they looked to their right and saw new virtual reality games being developed.

"Even now, he is working on a Digiverse to take gaming to another level." Pixal explained as they could see new ninja like games being worked on.

And as they were moving across the room, some of the kids noticed a specific console that got Nya's attention.( Here it comes guys...)
"Ooh! They have a perfect match console!" One of the kids said with joy while Nya was a bit confused seeing it.

"Perfect match console?" Nya asked as Allison came up to see it too.

"What does this do?" Allison hissed while they looked at it.

"It finds your perfect partner with flawless results! You should try it Ms Nya!" One of the kids said as Nya was walking onto it.

"I doubt a machine would..." Nya couldn't finish her sentence before the machine was able to scan her and immediately know who she is.

"Hello Nya, you are an independent, self confident young woman, who refuses to be in a boy's club. Analyzing match now." The computer said as it's hearts started to glow while everyone thought it would be obvious.

"Of course it's gonna be mister Jay." One of them said as there was no other person. But what they got made all of them gasp in shock as it wasn't who they expected at all.

"Promise me you will not tell anyone!" Nya begged as the match was revealed to be.. Cole.

"Oh here we go..." Allison said as she slapped her face knowing this will only get worse going forward.

Spike and the other ninja had just arrived at the top of the tower, and could see Cyrus Borg himself at his desk.
"I would've guessed for ninja to sneak in through the window, not use the elevator." Borg greeted while Jay gasped with amazement seeing him.

"Well that wouldn't be polite would it?" Spike asked with a smile while he saw Jay being extremely excited seeing him.

"Are you really?!" Jay asked right as Borg finished for him.

"Cyrus Borg? Yes. Unfortunately when my parents gave me a name like that, my future in technology was.. predetermined." Borg answered as he walked out to them with some.. really strange robotic spider like legs which shocked everyone, and he was able to notice it.

"Ah yes.. these.. sadly, I have been disabled all my life, but it's nothing my mind couldn't fix." Borg assured while he turned to Zane who was looking at all the machine's around the place.

"Speaking of which, my deepest condolences Zane, I heard about your father, he was a brilliant mind, he would've fit right in." Borg said with guilt for his father's passing.

"Thank you Mr Borg, but loss is inevitable." Zane said gratefully as Spike packed his back.

"Don't worry Zane, we're all here for you. You know Borg, you remind me of Twilight in ways, only with her she was greatly focused on magic, I'd wonder what it'd be like if you ever met?" Spike said as Borg noticed Spike and looked a bit worried seeing him here.

"I'm.. sure we'd get along just fine Crystal Ninja. To think I'm meeting you here, face to face. I just have to say, I'm a big fan of what you've done for Ninjago." Borg said gratefully which Spike smiled at.

"Don't thank me, I was mainly there to help Lloyd when the time was right. Still can't believe it's been a year since that battle.." Spike said with some surprise knowing he's been here for a year.

"Speaking of which, isn't this the same place that the Overlord was destroyed? Why would anyone build a headquarters here?" Kai asked with worry for this specific location.

"Ah, what better message to send to evil that we won't cower to anyone? While I see all of you here, even the Master of Crystal, but I do not see.. the Golden Ninja." Borg said as he didn't see Lloyd here.

"Hey I was just about to head out to meet up with him before we got news of this fieldtrip, I'm sure he'd stop by if we give him a call?" Spike suggested which Cole agreed with.

"Yeah, he and Spike have been really busy, it's a miracle Spike was able to come with us honestly. But we'll tell him to stop by if you want?" Cole asked hopefully which Borg didn't want to happen.

"No no no.. I'm glad it's just you 5, I wanted to.. give you a gift." Borg said as he moved over to something big that was covered up.

"A gift? It wouldn't happen to be.. cake now would it?" Cole asked hopefully which made Spike groan.

"I should introduce you to Celestia, you both love cake.." Spike said to himself as they followed Borg over to another side of the room, and Borg lifted the tarp up to reveal.. a golden statue of himself.

"The future is what we make it!" The statue said automatically which the other's founded extremely weird.

"Oh.. so.. no cake.." Cole said with a bit of a depressed look seeing it.

"Wow.. a statue.. of yourself.." Kai said with a look of disappointment.

"I know! How cool is that?!" Jay asked excitedly seeing it while Borg was secretly going towards Kai while the others went to the statue.

"Please, protect them with your lives. All of Ninjago depends on it." Borg whispered which confused him

"Protect? Protect what?" Kai asked with confusion.

"You were right, I never should've built here. You should go, he's listening!" Borg whispered with a warning tone as a camera was monitoring them.

"Kai, a little help here?" Spike asked as he and the others were trying to lift the statue.

"I'm.. I'm sorry to cut this short, but there's things to invent, I'm sure you'll see yourselves out?" Borg asked hopefully while Kai went back to the statue, and Spike felt something off hearing that.

"Guys, there's something weird with Borg." Kai whispered while they were moving to the elevator.

"You felt that too? I thought that was only me.." Spike replied while he looked back at Borg one more time who looked really worried over something.

"It's just artificial limbs you two, I know your not into machine's Kai, and I know you've had so much to handle with Lloyd too Spike, but you don't have to be rude, we're his guests!" Jay replied as they were walking into the elevator.

"It's not that guys, there's something wrong.." Spike replied with concern about what's happening behind the scenes.

"Borg looked scared about something guys, he said that we had to protect " Them" with our lives." Kai informed recalling what he was told.

"Them? Who?" Cole asked with confusion hearing that.

"I don't know but..." Kai suddenly screamed as the door slammed shut behind him which made him drop the statue, and everyone else screamed as the statue fell down and broke completely.

"Oh great now look at what you've done!" Jay said with frustration while Zane noticed something off.

"Hold on.. it's hollow, there's something inside." Zane observed while they found strange new outfits that was designed for all of them.

"Huh.. why would he give us new ninja outfits?" Cole asked as he pulled them out which looked brand new.

"Alright guys , something's wrong, if Borg made these for us, then there's clearly something going on that we're not aware of yet." Spike said with annoyance at the sight of this.

"But what could it be? What reason would he have for it?" Zane asked as Kai noticed 5 newly designed weapons that were also Golden just for design.

"And what exactly are these?" Kai asked as he pulled them out which suddenly set off the alarms in the elevator.

"Techno Blades located! Apprehend, would the assailants please stand down and drop the Techno Blades?" The computer warned while everyone was shocked with the sudden announcement.

"First you call us pedestrians, now we're assailants?!" Jay asked with frustration hearing it.

"Nothing's working? Perhaps a malfunction?" Zane asked as he tried to find a way out of here while Kai realized what these are.

"Guys ,these must be the Techno Blades! We have to protect them with our lives!" Kai said with concern which confused Spike.

"Hold on, how the heck do you know what they are?" Spike questioned while the computer made it's decision.

"Have it your way, goodbye." The computer said as it suddenly began falling directly towards the ground at extremely fast speeds.

Everyone screamed with fear as they were slammed onto the ceiling and were barely able to move.
"Let the elevator have the Techno Blades Kai! I think it's made it's point!" Jay screamed as they could see the thing would explode when it reaches the ground.

"We have to get off this thing!" Cole shouted as Kai noticed there was a hatch right next to them.

"Going up?" Kai announced before he stood on the ceiling and jumped straight onto the ground before he used the force of gravity and jumped back onto the hatch and kicked it open.

"Ninja go!!" Spike and the others screamed as they finally used Spinjitzu again and jumped out of the elevator.

"Everyone stay close to me!" Spike shouted as he got everyone close enough to save them, Spike then harnessed his Crystal Powers again and was able to summon his Elemental Dragon which flew in the air as they saw the elevator fly down towards the ground.

Two guards were waiting at the bottom of the lobby while looking really bored right now.
"Man.. I'm bored." One of them said with an annoyed look.

"Really? Well me too actually." The guard replied just before the elevator crashed down and exploded behind them which alarmed everyone near it.

Spike and the others sighed with relief as they saw the elevator explode, and felt glad they escaped it in time.
"Man, saved again by the Crystal Ninja, you haven't lost your touch at all Spike." Cole complimented while they held onto Spike's dragon tightly.

"I've gotten used to using it since I unlocked it. Come on, there's another elevator right there!" Spike said as he saw the second elevator going upwards, and he flew his dragon towards the elevator before it disappeared and they all landed on the top of it with skill.

"Nicely done Spike!" Zane complimented while he gave him a high five.

"Thanks guys, guess this means we're doing another adventure huh?" Spike asked as Kai handed them they're new suits.

"I guess so, probably means we're quitting our day jobs too." Kai replied while Jay gasped with fear in remembering something.

"Oh my gosh, our students!" Jay reminded which made Spike remember they were still on the tour.

"Allison!" Spike said with fear as we cut back to Allison and the students as they were being shown another part of the building.

They were being shown the factory part of the building where they could see multiple machine's being made.
"And this is our factory line, where...." The light's of the room suddenly flashed red which not only turned Pixal's eyes red like she was hacked, but every other machine in the room turned to Allison, Wu, Nya and the students with a look of anger.

"This will be the end of your tour.." Pixal finished as they all saw the many deadly buzz saw's and traps of the factory was now against them.

Allison saw one of the larger machine's try to attack the group, and she quickly slithered around it and jumped on top of thing before she ripped out it's circuits which made it malfunction.
"Wu! Over here!" Allison shouted as she jumped off the machine just as Wu charged up to it and whacked it away with his staff which knocked it into the other machine's around them.

"Everyone, stay together!" Nya shouted as she kicked one of the larger claws away while Allison took out her spear and threw it at one of the machine's eyes and destroyed it instantly.

"Guess all that training we've done finally payed off Wu!" Allison said with surprise while she ducked under some buzz saws that almost hit her.

"There's a reason why we did all those morning exercises! It's always to be prepared for things like this!" Wu shouted back while he did a backflip and kicked another machine in the face which knocked it back into the buzz saws which sliced it off.

"This way! There's a way out!" One of the kids shouted as they saw an open window near the top and tried to escape.

"No, don't break formation!" Nya warned which only made them run onto a conveyer that had death traps on both sides.

"Why don't boy's ever listen to me?!" Nya asked with frustration while she, Allison and Wu jumped onto the conveyer and made quick work of the machine's around them.

"I swear it's moments like this where I feel like the only smart one in the class!" Allison hissed to the students before she coiled around one of the laser machine's and redirected it into the other's to give them a clear path.

"Don't rest yet, it's not over!" Wu warned as they were being surrounded by more of the machine's and got ready to fight.

However, as this was all happening, Spike and the other's made it to another floor within the building, the elevator they were in slowly raised up before opening up, and they all jumped out wearing new ninja suits while holding the Techno Blades. Spike's new suit had purple and green coloring while having a crystal pink outlining for the tougher areas, and Spike's Techno Blade resembled a double bladed weapon.

"Heh, I gotta say it, I love the new threads!" Jay said with a smile at their new suits.

"Rarity would be jealous of these designs for sure." Spike said with a smirk before they saw more of the larger mech's from before march to the room and had they're weapons armed.

"Oh yeah?! Two can play it this game, hyah!" Kai shouted as he tried using the Techno Blades, but none of them were working.

"What's with these things?! How do we turn them on?!" Kai asked with fear as the mech's charged at them, and they all flipped out of a blast while Spike charged up a Crystal blast and shot one of their arms off.

"Try to figure out how they work!" Spike shouted as he ran towards the mech and slid under it before he came out from behind and shot it's back and took it down easily, but there were still over a dozen more mech's he had to fight off, and Zane got an idea on what could help.

"Let me try!" Zane said as he tried to cut a metal pipe with the blade, but it didn't work either.

"It's not sharp! Why even call it a blade?!" Zane asked with surprise as the mech's took a sharp aim at them and fired a deadly laser which almost hit them, but they all managed to doge it just in time, but unfortunately, it had hit one of the windows which began to crack.

"Oh snap.." Jay said with fear as the thing suddenly shattered and they all screamed from being sucked outside, Cole barely managed to grab a long cable that could be able to save them.

"Grab on!!" Cole screamed as everyone grabbed onto eachother's legs and braced themselves as they were about to crash into another window.

"Ready to crash the party boys?!" Cole shouted as they all flew to it, but the glass was far too strong for them to break, and they all screamed even more as they started falling off the tall building with terror, but they soon felt themselves land on something else which hurt they're backs, but were at least glad they're alive.

"Ouch.." Jay said with pain while they were regaining they're focus.

"What the heck?" Spike asked with surprise as they saw they were on a small platform that was for cleaners, but the cleaner bot soon noticed them which made it's eyes turn red, and it tried to attack them before Cole kicked it away not wanting to deal with this now.

But within Borg's office, he was being chewed out by the one who's been secretly watching over everything this entire time, and it was revealed that the Overlord was indeed alive after the last battle with Spike and Lloyd.
"You fool! You thought you could give them the only thing that could defeat me and thought I wouldn't notice?! I'd get rid of you.. if I didn't still need you! Don't think.. to ever betray me.. again!!" Overlord screamed with rage as he was on the largest monitor which terrified Borg.

"Of.. of course not! I promise! I promise!" Borg said with fear while the Overlord didn't believe him.

" A promise isn't good enough!" Overlord shouted as he took control of Borg's artificial legs which began moving over to a table full of parts and devices for building machine's.

"No! Stop! Let me go! Please, no more!!" Borg b egged as he started to scream as the machine's began planting on devices to ensure he doesn't mess up again.

Spike and everyone else were trying to lower themselves down with the platform they were on, but with all that's happening, they have a bad feeling on who's causing all of this.
"And then he said he was listening!" Kai finished while everyone was concerned hearing this.

"Do you really think it's the Overlord?" Jay suggested with a worried look.

"But how? We all saw Spike and Lloyd defeat him!" Cole pointed out while Spike was completely shocked hearing this.

"That can't be possible, Lloyd and I defeated him with all our power! He shouldn't even be here!" Spike said with worry at the thought of it.

"Defeat yes, but can he be destroyed?" Zane questioned which was a good point, but before they could talk more, one of the security cars had detected them, it was a hover car of sorts, and it was locking onto them to take them down.

"I don't know, but we can!" Jay said with fear while Spike got into a fighting pose right before Zane got an idea.

"Cole, throw me!" Zane shouted with a serious look which shocked Cole.

"Excuse me?" Cole asked with surprise before Zane said it again.

"Throw me!" Zane ordered again which made Cole pick him up, he took a steady aim at the hover copter and threw Zane onto it to take it down, he barely was able to get the machine to miss it's shot at them before he got onto the top of the machine and felt something strange, Zane took out his Techno Blade which started to glow and form into a weapon that could work against it. Zane made a loud scream as he slammed it into the machine, but instead of destroying it, it morphed the hover copter into a special vehicle designed for him and his powers which completely amazed all of them.

"What just happened?!" Cole asked with amazement seeing this.

"Zane must've hacked the hover copter's system! He controls it!" Jay suggested which was amazing to all of them.

"If we can use these to hack into other vehicles.. this could help us get out of here! Come on, let's pick up Allison and everyone else! Let's go!" Spike shouted as they all hopped onto the hovercar and Zane took off to find where they are.

Allison and the rest of the group of students were trying they're best to avoid the deadly traps within the factory, but it was getting even harder by the second with more that kept coming at them.
"Run! And jump! And kick!" Nya instructed as they all did those orders at the same time to avoid being hit while Nya kicked another device away.

"We're almost out! Hurry!" Allison shouted as she flipped onto one of the devices and stabbed it with her spear which made it spark up, and it spiraled out of control while Allison flipped off it, and the machine went crashing into a bunch of other ones that bought them some time.

"Well done Allison!" Wu complimented while she did a high jump onto the next floor.

"I may not know Spinjitzu, but I can still fight!" Allison said as she helped Nya up next to escape. But as everyone went up the next ledge that was closer to the window, the students all screamed as they saw a conveyer was heading straight to an incinerator.

"How do we stop it?!" Nya asked with fear as the alarm was going off, and she saw what looked like a power switch right on the side, she ran towards it while the kids were trying to run away from the incinerator, but as Nya tried to break through it, nothing was able to work until a laser blast destroyed a machine that tried attacking Wu, and they all looked out the window and saw Spike and everyone else had arrived.

Zane took a closer aim at the power supply and shot the thing down which finally shut the place down for now, everyone sighed in relief and soon cheered seeing they're all here.

"Dad!" Allison said with relief while Spike came up and hugged her out of relief seeing she's okay.

"You guys alright?" Spike asked as he looked to the students who looked unharmed thankfully.

"We're fine thanks to you, what's up with the new suits and weapons?" Allison asked as they saw they're new equipment with them.

"That's a long story Allison!" Spike said as he grabbed her arm and dragged her to the platform so they can get out of here.

"We'll talk about it later, but we need to head to the bus now! I got an idea!" Kai said with confidence as they had the platform they were on before that could hold the whole class so they can escape, but before Nya could get on, she was grabbed by the leg by Pixal who was trying to hold her back.

"This will be the end of your tour!" Pixal repeated again before Nya kicked her away and ran towards the platform as everyone got on it, Zane looked back at Pixal one last time and felt regret that she was taken over like everything else, and wished there was a way to help her.

"Come on, she's one of them! We have to go!" Nya said as everyone flew away to safety after barely making it out of there.

Everyone made it back to the bus as Nya and Allison were heading on the bus to keep the students safe.
"Get to the academy as fast as you can you two! We need the Golden Ninja here to help us!" Kai instructed while Allison sat right behind Nya.

"Just don't get yourselves hurt alright?" Allison asked as she looked at Spike one more time who was ready to go.

"What about you guys?" Nya asked with worry for they're safety.

"We have to protect the people!" Wu said as they all looked around the city, and saw that almost every machine around the city was being taken over by the Overlord again which started to cause tons of chaos throughout the city. And just as the bus was about to drive off, one of the mech's slammed onto the bus and tried to halt they're escape.

"I got this! Ninja go!!" Cole screamed again as he used Spinjitzu to jump far above the bus, and he landed down on the mech and used his strength to rip out the mech's wires which shut it down instantly and freed the bus.

"No one calls me pedestrian!" Cole said as all the students cheered for him doing something so cool.

"Way to go Cole!" Allison complimented while the bus had started up.

"I always said Mr Cole was my favorite!" One of the kids said as the bus drove off leaving Spike and the other's behind.

Everyone came together and started to form a plan on how to stop these mech's knowing what the Techno Blades can do.
"So, the Techno Blades can hack into they're systems!" Kai said as Spike looked at his and got an idea on what to do.

"If we hack the right devices, we could use them to fight back against the mech's!" Spike suggested which everyone liked the sound of.

"I love it! how about we do a little hack attack guys?!" Jay asked with an eager look to get moving.

"Zane, Kai, Spike, you all take to the skies, I want Cole and Jay on the ground! I'll do what I can for the people!" Wu instructed which sounded good to them.

"Ohoho! Anyone else getting tingly in here guys?!" Cole asked as he felt excited they're doing another adventure after so long.

"Ninja go!!" Spike and the other's screamed as they all used Spinjitzu to begin they're tasks, Spike and Kai hopped onto Zane's hovercar which began taking off towards the higher parts of the city.

They flew along the high roadways at the top as more machine's started to chase after them, Spike saw another Hover copter right besides them, and he and Kai looked at eachother upon getting the same idea.

"I got this one Kai!" Spike shouted as he and Kai jumped over to the machine to hack it, but as soon as Kai saw what looked like an advanced fighter jet, he knew that's exactly what he wanted.

"Oh I want that!" Kai said with a smirk as he raised his Techno Blade in the air and hacked into it, and the machine soon became his own vehicle which he could use.

"Yeah! Haha!" Kai cheered as he flew off into the sky's while Spike remained on the hover copter, Spike felt his Techno Blade power up and showed it's duel blades on both sides, and Spike smirked as he looked at the vehicle below him

"Let's see what this turns into!" Spike shouted as he raised his weapon in the air before he slammed it down on it, this began to morph the vehicle into something truly epic, it's color scheme changed to a mix in of pink, purple and green to match his suit, and while Spike thought it would be more like Zane's, it became something amazing.

It morphed into a awesome flying hover bike designed for him, it's anti gravity booster's were at the bottom which helped him fly in the air and on walls and ledges, and the cockpit of the hover copter soon formed into the center where Spike drove the machine, and it became large enough for him to drive on without any trouble which made him laugh with amazement.

"Ha! I love being a ninja!!" Spike cheered as he put on some sunglasses to look cool before he grabbed onto the control's, it was pretty easy to get the hang of after a few seconds, and he soon cheered with joy as he flew off the road and started driving down the walls of buildings nearby, Spike pushed on a few buttons which activated a few weapons on the side, and he soon shot some missile's at more mech's that were running across the city.

Spike soon drove down into the streets and headed towards where Jay and Cole were, and they all soon saw Kai was flying down to the city and trying to avoid any missile's coming his way from below after he got an important message from Borg about the Techno Blades, and the suits.

"Can you guys handle that?!" Kai shouted as Spike drove by the mech's and shot them down while Jay jumped through the sky.

"On it!" Jay replied as he landed on one of the tanks that were nearby, and he used the Techno Blade he had to hack into it's systems and it became his own personal vehicle like all the other's.

"Ha! I love it!" Jay cheered as he drove off to where Cole was who was fighting off some of the larger mech's around him.

"Cole? You need some help with those Security Mech's? Or just some old fashioned artillery fire?!" Jay asked as he shot more missile's towards the mechs while Spike drove across the buildings to take the ones in the sky's, and Cole soon grabbed one of the mech's and threw it far into the sky which was destroyed by Spike who drove by, and Cole soon got an idea on how to fight back with his Techno Blade.

"I think I got a handle on it!" Cole shouted as he jumped towards one of the mech's as his blade morphed into a chain like weapon for him, and he soon jumped on the mech and hacked into it too which formed into a fighter mech for him, and he quickly used the mech's strength to take the rest down while Spike and Jay met up with him.

"Stomping robot's, to robot stomper!" Cole shouted with a smirk as they felt awesome for having these new vehicles.

Back at the academy, Nya and Allison finally made it back and were trying to find where Lloyd was so he could help.
"I think he's in here!" Allison said as they saw what looked like a golden light across a door right down the halls, and they didn't waste another second to burst in to alert him.

"Lloyd! The ninja are in trouble and.." Nya shouted right before she was interrupted, and it turned out it was just Darreth who was in the room after his Tv went to static for some reason.

"Oh Hey Nya! Allison, can you believe it? I was just watching my favorite show with the jujitsu dogs you know? And then bang! The cable suddenly dies on me!" Darreth said as Allison groaned with annoyance seeing this.

"Where are you Lloyd?" Allison asked with fear for what's happening with him right now.

Spike and everyone else was still trying to fight off every robot that came they're way, but even with they're new vehicles, it was still hard for them to fight back all of them.
"We have to get the Techno Blades out of the city!" Kai announced remembering what Borg told him just a bit ago.

"But what about sensei? We can't leave without him?" Zane asked with concern which gave Kai an idea.

"I'll pick him up and meet up with the rest of you guys!" Kai shouted as he flew off to where Wu was, he was helping the last of the people escape underground for they're safety. But once he was done with that, Wu was soon surrounded by more mech's once again. Kai tried to land on the ground to help Wu escape, but the mech's started firing at him which made it difficult.

"I can't find a place to land!" Kai said with frustration as he flew around the buildings surrounding them, Wu noticed a fire hydrant right near the sidewalk, and getting an idea, he used his staff to make it burst out a ton of water he used as a way to get into the air.

"Whoa!" Wu screamed as Kai flew right above him, and Wu grabbed onto the jet Kai had before it flew off to meet up with the other's.

"We need a clear path to escape guys!" Spike shouted while he shot down more jet's that were flying in front of him, and he soon drove down another building and met up at the same street the other's were in.

But as they all met up, dozens of more mech's landed down on the streets on all sides o surround them all.
"There's too many! We'll never get out!" Cole shouted while he shot down more mech's along with everyone else who was doing they're best.

"keep fighting! They have to run out of battery's at some point!" Kai said hopefully while everyone was backing up against eachother.

"Uh.. I'm not so sure about that.." Zane said with fear while all the mech's surrounded them. But before anything bad could happen, a familiar golden light appeared through the sky and flashed over the whole area, it's power finally made the mech's stop attacking them, and everyone cheered as they knew who it was.

"Lloyd!" Spike cheered while they saw Lloyd fly through the sky's on his Elemental Dragon before he landed down next to them.

"Robots vs Ninja? Dare I ask?" Lloyd asked with a chuckle which made everyone laugh seeing him finally here.

"You are a sight for sore eyes!" Kai joked while they gave him a hug feeling relieved he's here, but they're moment was soon ruined as the Overlord appeared on the screen's above them after finally seeing he's here.

"So, you couldn't help yourself, the Golden Ninja, and the Master of Crystal.. we meet again!" Overlord greeted sinisterly which angered all of them seeing he's here.

"Overlord! We defeated you once! We'll defeat you again!" Lloyd swore while Spike charged up his own powers seeing him.

"Why don't you come out yourself to fight us?!" Spike shouted with anger as he looked up at him.

"Oh.. I don't want to fight.. either of you.. I just want the Golden Ninja's power!!"" Overlord screamed as everyone saw the mech's were being taken over again which made Lloyd's ability's useless against them. Lloyd tried to stop them, but Wu put his staff in front of him to prevent things from getting worse.

"No Lloyd, your power is only making them stronger!" Wu warned which concerned all of them.

"Then how do we fight?" Lloyd asked with a worried look.

"We don't, we get you, and the Techno Blades out of the city." Kai reminded which was concerning.

"I don't think he'll let us leave!" Cole pointed out as Spike shot down a mech with his Crystal powers before it attacked them.

"You think?!" Spike asked with frustration while he stood close to them.

"I have an idea, but I don't have much time to explain, listen clos." Wu instructed as all of them came close together and heard out Wu's plan and knew what they had to do.

"Ninja go!!" Everyone screamed once again as they used Spinjitzu and went towards they're machine's to try and escape the city. Everyone got ready to initiate this plan and hoped it'll pull through

"I hope this works!" Kai prayed with a worried look.

"With a 4.2% chance of success, I'd say our chances are slim." Zane pointed out which made Spike shake his head hearing this.

"That's why it's called hope Zane!" Jay countered again while they kept moving.

"Let's just do what we can to get out of here!" Spike shouted as Wu ran off to the rooftop's.

"The Techno Blades.. find them!!" Overlord screamed as the machine's were trying to find them.

"Searching for Techno blades." A machine spoke as it saw the ninja all splitting up to escape, Spike went with Cole and Jay who were already making it out of the city, and Jay got an idea on how they can escape faster.

"Cole! Spike! Jump on guys!" Jay shouted as he drove close enough to them, Spike used his hover bike to land on the top of Jay's vehicle while Cole used his mech to attack to the back of it, and with they're combined mech's, they used the thrusters to take off out of city at even faster speeds then before.

"Woo-hoo!!" Spike cheered as he loved the feeling of going this fast.

Wu was holding something in his hand as he went across the rooftops, and one of the cameras was able to spot him after detecting something.
"Techno blades, 92% conformation!" The machine said as they saw Wu has them.

"Sensei.. the sensei has them!" Overlord declared as Wu kept jumping across the roofs, Wu came towards a long jump that could only be crossed over some street lights, and he used them to hop across the ledge before he landed on the next roof ahead of him.

Wu tried to get out of there, but he soon got surrounded by multiple hovercar's and vehicle's around the roof, but as Wu opened up the blanket, it was revealed the blades weren't there which infuriated the Overlord.
"No no! Where are the blades?!" Overlord asked with fury as he reminded the footage of where Wu was going, but as he went towards the part where Wu jumped over the street lights, it was revealed that Kai was able to fly down right below him, and Wu threw the rest of the blades into his vehicle before he escaped and went to the next roof.

"The old fool will pay dearly!!" Overlord screamed with fury as he had completely lost sight of the ninja.

Spike and everyone else were making they're way out of the city, but Lloyd was super worried for his safety.
"We have to go back for him!" Lloyd said with fear as they kept moving forward.

"We will! But only when you are safe!" Kai said over the intercom.

"He wants these weapons, and for some reason, he also wants you! Remember, this was sensei's plan, they can't break him!" Cole reminded which Spike agreed with.

"He did this so we can escape! We'll find somewhere safe to plan thing's out, until then, let's just hope Wu can pull through!" Spike prayed while he looked at the sun rising in the distance.

"Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is yet to come, we only need to worry about today." Zane encouraged which was good enough for them.

"You said it Zane!" Jay replied as they drove through the dessert to find a place to hide.

"We will come back to New Ninjago City, but when we do, we'll be ready!" Zane said as they regained focus on the path ahead of them.

"But for now, we find a place to hide! They'll be looking for us." Kai said as Lloyd looked back at the city one last time feeling incredibly worried for Wu.

"We'll find a way to save him Lloyd, I promise." Spike assured while Lloyd soon flew alongside all of them as they headed away from the city.

But as Spike and everyone else escaped, back within Borg tower, Borg was revealed to have been taken over by the Overlord, and his body was used to help him move in the real world. Pixal used the data she scanned from Zane to do something that would help the Overlord. She used the factory's tech to remodel it into a new Nindroid with stronger hardware then Zane ever did.
"Upgrade complete!" Pixal reported as she pressed on a switch which activated the factory, and soon enough, the factory began to build an entire army of new Nindroids that could fight for the Overlord..

Hey everyone, thanks for reading this chapter! And now we're starting off with Season 3 finally, I honestly think the season could've been better in areas if it wasn't for multiple things that made it frustrating, like the love triangle with Cole, Jay and Nya, as well as some thing's feeling unexplained and rushed in areas. While this season is only 8 episodes, there's still a lot I'm gonna be covering here.

I'm planning on having Allison go with Lloyd and Garmadon in the next episode to help keep Lloyd safe, and in that time she can use lessons from Garmadon to learn to either turn invisible or learn Spinjitzu finally, I think this was a good start to the season and what it could set out to do, despite how the writer's didn't really plan on continuing Ninjago after Season 2 since it really felt like the end of the show, but because of fan demands and it becoming so popular, the show was brought back and continued far after Chima was meant to replace it, so if it started out a little rough to you guys, this was probably why.

But I hope that with what I have here was, it was really good for you guys! The rest of the season may not be as long as this chapter, but I'll see what I can do to have Spike and Allison blend into the story, but for now, I hope this was good for you all, and that you have a good day!
