Working in a morgue was a mentally taxing job. Almost everyone was unnerved by the dead, and anyone who said they weren’t was a liar or unhinged. Andras was a little bit of both, which was honestly a good skill for a worker in a profession like his. At that, Gray left, and Andras was left to mentally prepare himself for his next task.
It was said that the job got easier with time, you somehow became numb to the trauma of seeing so many lives laid out on a slab. It was humbling in a lot of ways, terrifying in others. He had never quite gotten over it.
He didn’t know how long he had stood there, pondering such things, but he shook his head to clear the thoughts from his mind and made his way over to the mortuary fridges. It was always cold, it was how he liked it. He liked the cold. The fact he could feel it separated him from the corpses laid out in their little metal containers, waiting to be put in the earth or returned to ash.

Green flames wrapped around his clone, burning away bright red fur and replacing it with cold, black chitin. The flames started at the tips of his hooves and burned upwards, barely making a sound as they did so. In less then five seconds, his body was completely consumed by those flames, and in its place was an insectile creature with slitted lime green eyes.
Insectile wings like those of a fly, but scaled up, sprouted from her back, and it looked like she had gone through several stages of decay, eaten through with holes, holes that were lined with a small amount of lime green.

Andras knew what changelings were, he also knew that they were dangerous. He wasn’t really trained in combat, but he knew how to throw hooves if needed.
He dived forward just as the changeling fired a beam from their horn, searing passed right next to him. He crashed into, twisting and kicking his hind hooves out in a leg sweep. The changeling simply jumped over his hooves, and he was up close to her now, realizing just how much danger he was in.

Andras could hear his own heartbeat in his ears, gasping desperately as he tried to struggle free. As he struggled however, he found his body reacting not with fear, but with arousal.
