In the small town of Peach Creek, school has already been let out and all the kids who go to Peach Creek Jr. High are already enjoying their summer vacation as a certain trio of unscrupulous adolescents are on the verge of putting their summer plans into action. Edd, also known as Double D, is a very introverted young man who is very intelligent and quite well-known to be a neat freak which is not only his best strength but his worst weakness; his most recognizable feature is a hat that he always wears to cover most of his head. Eddy is a fast-talking loud mouth who is obsessed with money and is usually the so called "Man with a Plan" according to his peers; although, he is the leader of the Eds, his big mouth and highly flawed scams would usually land them into trouble.

This summer, however, the Eds are done with scams all-together. This is due to the fact that an incident that took place way back last summer when the Eds pulled off a scam that escalated so badly that it finally pulled the final straw and broke the backs of the neighborhood kids (both literally and metaphorically); it set off a high-speed chase across the county which led to a confrontation between Eddy and his older brother, which brought sympathy from the other kids. So now the Eds have finally found their place in the social circle of the Cul-de-sac (Including Johnny which they've apologized for the misunderstanding) and have no need to do any more scams.

But now, the Eds have nothing better to do since they have given up their lifestyle of conning kids of their money for jawbreakers. Fortunately for them,Duel Monsters became such a fad that every school considers it as a sport of wits.

"Well, fellows, it looks like another year has passed and a whole new chapter of our lives as one of the school's popular duelists went pretty good so far!" beamed Edd who is currently walking home from school with his two friends, Ed and Eddy, trailing behind him. "And we've managed to win two separate duel monster contests on both Peach Creek and Lemon Brook on our first try and we've became national champions! I find this to be quite an achievement don't you agree?"

Eddy looked at Edd with a relaxed expression while saying nothing at all while Ed gave a goofy expression on his face.

"Do you think noses think about what they smell?" asked Ed.

"I think about what you smell like all the time, Ed." retorted Eddy, who is still showing his bored face.

"Oh, so it isn't just me." said Ed, smiling.

"That's it?" Eddy asked in a confused and irritated tone to which Micko replied with a nodded as the stout boy sigh in defeat "Alright,Your funeral. Ed. Duel Disk!"

"You got it Eddy!" said Ed as he salutes as he opens his jacket which reveal a green,orange and yellow duel disk as the monobrow Ed picks up the yellow one and gives it to Eddy as he puts it on and places his deck on the card slot.

Johnny 2x4 holding his wooden pal Plank was watching the event unfold and yelled "HEY EVERYBODY! MICKO IS ABOUT TO DUEL EDDY AGAIN!!"

This caught the attention of the other kids as they walk towards the place where the duel takes place to watch as many kids were talking about it.

As the kids gathered around to watch the duel,Both Micko and Eddy activates they're duel disk as a robotic voice chimed "Opponent Detected. Activating Holographic Projections."

"DUEL!" shouted both Eddy and Micko.

"Alright, I'll go first." said Micko as he draw his card then places one card on his duel disk "Time to summon my ace monster, Otaku Ranger - Akiba Red!"

With a flash of light,Micko summons his monster on the field. His monster was humanoid warrior that wears an armor of red and black, with the words "Otaku Sentai" printed across the chest in bold, white letters. His helmet looked like a spiky head of red hair, with a golden line separating his visor from the rest of his helmet.

"Red fighting otaku spirit!" spoke Micko's warrior monster in red as he shows off his fighting skill then strikes a dynamic pose which triggers an explosion behind him "AKIBA RED!!"

NEO BLUE-EYES ULTIMATE DRAGON!!!" Thus a pillar of light shines as the three-head blue dragon appeared,making Micko terrified of Eddy's fusion monster.

"NO! AKIBA RED!!" shouted Micko as he only monster on the field is destroyed,leaving him defenseless.

"Now where was i?..." said Eddy as he was tapping to his chin until he snaps his fingers "Oh yeah! Time for Battle Phase;Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon attack Micko directly with... HYPER NEUTRON BLAST!!!"

Eddy's dragon let's out an intimidating roar and fires and powerful energy blast which landed a direct hit on Micko as he was blown away by such force as he was blown away and lands on a nearby streetlight which was bent due to the impact of his landing.

"Dude, That was awesome! Cheered Nazz as she was amazed by Eddy's dueling performance.

Micko did manages to win a few duels against the regular kids,But not in the case against the popular ones from the Cul-de-sac like Eddy.

On her hands she wears pink and blue gauntlets while holding a blue with a yellow spiral wand.

It didn't take a rocket scientist as Micko immediately recognized that in front of him was the Dark Magician Girl.

Micko was stunned as one of the most iconic duel monsters appeared in front of him as she stares at the surprised and confused boy....
