The Lone Goddess – Cutie Dragon

Many ponies may know me but many may not… Though, those who think they know me are completely wrong… They may know about me but they do not know me… For I cannot be known.

Chapter 1 – How I really arrived at Equestria

It’s difficult for ponies to grasp the idea that I was never an alicorn before I arrived in Equestria…

One day I randomly got a message from my good friend Celestia from the world of Equestria, It read: ‘My good friend Cutie Dragon. I request you to come to Equestria to help with a problem regarding a dragon. Please come as soon as possible. Regards… Celestia.’ And so as a request from my friend I just could not turn it down!  Though I felt bad leaving without writing a note first… I scribbled a note and left just like that!

I arrived in Equestria shortly after and the first thing I noticed was the fact that I was falling! The wind pushed against me as I looked down to see the ground below me so far away yet approaching quickly… Then I remembered I had wings! Silly me for forgetting such a fact! Unfortunately my body seemed much different than usual so as I desperately tried to flap my dragon-like wings; it didn’t get me anywhere at all! In that current form I was too weak. I plummeted to the ground and everything went blank…

I opened my eyes slowly… everything was blurred at first but when my eyes had fully focused I noticed the bed frame and the tiled ceiling and the curtain beside of me. I could barely move, my limbs ached and my body hurt all over! I was able to tilt my head ever so slightly up and noticed the figure walking towards me; it was an equine of some sort… A pony! But then again I was in Equestria as I just remembered.

“Oh? You are finally awake!” The stallion said; walking over to me,

“Ugh! What happened?” I managed to say, I didn’t hurt as much as before… though my wing was still slightly painful.

“You were found just outside of the Everfree forest by the mare Twilight Sparkle! You must have had one nasty fall!” The pony explained, I managed to sit myself up using my… hooves? I looked myself over quickly…

A pony! I was a pony! I remembered that when I used my teleport to a specific dimension it also changes my body shape to suit that dimension’s main species. I was an alicorn, with dragon-like wings, a black coat and slightly different shades of red in my slightly scruffy mane with a black horn through the fringe of my mane.

“How long was I here for?” I asked politely,

“About 3 days.” The stallion replied, my eyes fully focused and I noticed that I was in fact in a hospital and that stallion had to be one of the doctors.

“3 DAYS!?” I almost shouted in shock! I had no idea I slept for that long!

“Yes, May I ask your name?” The stallion using his magic (a unicorn pony) picked up a clipboard and pen and awaited my reply.

“Uh… My name is Cutie Dragon. I’m here to visit Celestia as I am the Goddess of Dragons!” I declared somewhat proudly.

“Celestia? Alright then wait a minute!” The stallion walked off  leaving me all alone.

He returned moments later and talked to me,

“I have informed the royal guard that you are here.” The stallion declared. The royal guard? I wondered if they would inform Celestia about my situation then. My suspicions were correct as the great Princess herself walked through the door about half an hour later. She was closely followed by two guards with white coats and silvery armour covering parts of their body, they had to be the royal guard of which the doctor talked about.

“Cutie Dragon! My friend, I have only recently been informed about your terrible accident.” She started, her voice was soft and very much familiar to me.

“Do not worry about the dragon problem; a group of young mares took care of the problem already.” She continued, I sighed in relief that everything was taken care of! Didn’t exactly want Equestria to be in complete ruin whilst I was sleeping due to injury!

“I feel much better now though!” I added just before she was able to speak again.

“Yes it seems she has healed perfectly!” The doctor declared again this time to Celestia.

“That is most excellent. She can leave the hospital now I presume?” Celestia asked the doctor politely with a warm smile. He simply nodded as a reply.

I took the first move and began to stretch my arms and legs ready to attempt to get out of the hospital bed. I moved myself sideways so I could sit up on the edge of the unusually comfortable bed. I then gently flapped my wings to help me up onto all four legs. I wobbled slightly as my limbs were still slightly stiff from lying down for so long but it felt great to finally have my hoofs on the ground! I turned back to Celestia,

“So… I am no longer needed here?” I asked, just in case before I leave there was something else she wanted help with.

“That is correct. Though you are welcome to stay here in Equestria for as long as you wish.” She said calmly. I nodded and smiled. My horn began to glow with a black hue as I focused my magical energy, I needed to create a simple portal back home, he would be missing me right then! I casted the spell but no portal appeared… I tried once more but with no prevail.

“My teleport spell… It won’t work!” I complained, extremely stressed by the whole situation.

“Interesting… It seems that you entering this dimension has caused you to lose your power to teleport to other dimensions…” Celestia thought aloud.

“So this means…” I realized what would happen then…

“You cannot leave Equestria!” Celestia declared.

All I could possibly do was sit there and sulk,

“Do not worry my friend. I will accommodate you whilst we try to find a solution to this problem.” Celestia said kindly, I smiled.

“Thank you…” Was all I could say, apart from that I was utterly speechless!

“I will make arrangements now. Your new home shall be here in Ponyville. Go to the Library and find my student. I will inform her as soon as I can about the details of your new residence.” And with that Celestia left the hospital. I decided it was time to leave the hospital… After stretching my legs again to avoid any more of those annoying cramps. I began to walk… I had to find the library!

As the sunlight reached my eyes they stung for a few seconds, but as my eyes fully adjusted I was able to make out my surroundings. Everything around me was colourful, very colourful in fact. I wondered if that maybe, I will actually enjoy my time here…
