"Go Emerald Flame!" One bey sent it's opponent crashing to a complete stop. "I did it!"

A purple skin boy wearing Chinese dragon themed pajamas wakes up with a smile on his face to his alarm clock absolutely losing it's digital mind "I may not be the champion, but on my own, I did beat the dark crystal blader and bring my Big Brother home."

"Spike! We need to get up, come on." A blue-haired purple girl with her hair pulled up into a bun hollers at her green haired little brother.
"I'm coming Twilight." Spike gets up, gets dressed and, while he normally slicks his hair back to look more sophisticated, this time he walks out rocking a green spiked mohawk like Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz from Cobra Kai seasons two and three.

"I like the new style, do you have all of your stuff?" Twilight asks.

"I do indeed. I got my books, cellphone, homework and my blade! What about you? Do you have everything?" Spike asks looking up at Twilight.

"I sure do little brother. I got my laptop, my books, all my work assignments, and I have my blade."

"Great, you're both ready now. Get in the car, I'll drive you to Canterlot High!" A different voice much deeper sounds off behind twilight, belonging to both of theirs older brother Shining Armor, whom used to be clean-cut, but after he put on the mask and started calling himself, the dark crystal blahey grew his hair out,to where it resembles more commander Lance, Pilot of the red Lion the next generation esk show Voltron Force.

At the school, Twilight runs wraps her arms around Flash Sentury, a yellow skinned boy with blue hair and an electric guitar on his back.

Upon seeing her boyfriend, Apple Bloom rushes over not even paying his new hairstyle any mind as she nearly tackles him onto his back on the sidewalk right outside the front door. "I've missed you so much, Spike, you never write!"

"We could just text Apple Bloom." Spike comments, groaning in pain.

Apple Bloom shakes her head, "Nope, you know we can't do that. You know my Granny is old school. Shoot, the most high technique we got in our house is a land line."

"Alright, Apple Bloom, go ahead and let your boyfriend up." A brown gold haired boy wearing a propeller cap with a slightly squeaky voice and a dark complexion requests.

"Fine Button Mash, but this farm girl requires cuddles later." Apple Bloom says, standing up and pulling Spike to his feet before he can even say anything.

"Hey, Spike, glad to see you, my man." Button exclaims, a little excitedly, while giving spike a fist bump, which unlike a high five is the real human world equivalent of an equestrian bro hoof.

"There he is, the big bad power blader of the dragonfire plateau." Rumble's pretty excited himself as he slaps his hand down on Spike's.

"Don't forget Rumble, you're still the champion, but I'll be coming for your title." Spike confidently and playfully warns the electric blue-haired Gray skinned boy.

" I promise, if you want to, any of the seven of you out here can come try to challenge me at any time." Rumble beams with confidence.

"You can keep your title baby. I'm more interested in finding out which one of us is truly better. And who should have taken home the bronze medal and the tournament." Scootaloo says, talking a little bit closer to Button before Sweetie Belle steps in between them.

"Now hold on scoot, I think it's actually better that we don't quite know who the third best player in the school is, 'cause after all Apple Bloom and I are hanging out with two the coolest older kids in school and the top four bladers." Sweetie Belle explains, but only draws a look of disappointment from Scootaloo at not being allowed to settle the bronze metal debate now.

The bell rings which calls all of the eight students into the school only for the faculty to serve all the students, a slip of paper that says "Request: required assembly meeting. Please make your way to the gym."

Once everybody was in the gym, Celestia, the principal of the school, begins the assembly with a speech "Good morning, Teachers and Students, Custodial and Cafeteria staff alike, we have assembled you all here for a very specific reason. For all those who were sick over the past few months, You may not know this, but recently, just a couple days ago, Canterlot High had our first Beyblade Battle Tournament, Which happened to have been won by our very own middle school student, Rumble. So first off, congratulations to him. However apparently other schools caught wind of what we were doing and They have assembled their own teams Split up in the 2 age ranges. Middle school age of 14 and younger, At high school age 15 to 18. Each one is A single blader on their 5 member team, supposedly with the intent of taking Rumble down. Now, Superintendent Bogo has tasked me with assembling Canterlot Independent School District a Middle School and High School teams of it's own, and I intend on seeing to it, with my own eyes, that that task is carried through to fruition. All throughout this week, you students will commence in battle 1 on 1 in closely monitored stadiums set up All around the school campus Just doing sure that we don't have another Heath Burns situation on our hands, like in the Battle Tournament. The older students will be competing to see who the 5 top students, 15 andup truely are. Meanwhile, the younger ones will be competing to see Who will be the other 4 Middle School Representatives, alongside the Beyblade Battle Tournament Champion Rumble, whom, winning the tournament has already qualified him as a representative member. Therefore, he may be the best, but he will not be competing in the representative selection tournament. The faculty will be closely monitoring all of the Battles happening in the stadiums set up in they're respective designated Work stations, and each facility member is in charge of Who wins, who loses, how they won and or lost, and keeping track of every blader in their workstations respective Bey points. Differently this time around so listen up. A survivor finish is worth 1 point. A ringout finish is worth 2 points. A burst finish is worth 3 points. And because it is still a new gimmick, currently in development, there will be No points rewarded for one, because there will be no Extreme Dash finishes to even be worth any points. Vice-principal Luna and I will also be monitoring bey stadiums. Also our 2 resident geniuses Step up and combine their efforts to giving us a computer that will also be helping to keep tally of everyone's scores. And in the end, everyone is going to see the just how the rest of the student body faired in the qualifier. Once again, congratulations rumble, and Good luck to the rest of the students who will be competing, please try to do your very best; and Let It Rip! ... The school assembly is now adjourned. You may go back to class and, for everyone competing, to strategize a game plan." Celestia finishes, awkwardly handing her little sister and scuddling off, feeling some slight embarrassment.

After the assembly, one student, Sunset Shimmer has left the school to go down to old man Torch's Beyblade Shop and Hobby Store. The bacon haired beauty is interested in seeing if she could find and get herself a Beyblade partner of her own, Sunset was inspired by Rumble eking out the Victory over Spike Sparkle in that hard fought championship title grabbing final round match up, and then Spike getting his own Post Tournament Battle Victory over the masked Dark Crystal Blader, whom turns out to have been his long lost older brother, Shining Armor in despise the whole time. Sunset steps inside of the hobby store, greeting Mr Torch with a warm smile when passing the cash register as she walks through the aisles taking in not just the beyblades, but all of the shop's inventory that it has in it's stock, from music players to video gaming consoles and even some CCTV cameras with thermal reading and motion detection included, being built into the cams. She is walking through the Beyblade aisle when she stops in her tracks upon her seeing the shining glow of a crimson red bey housing some flame wielding winged creature in the center. Sunset Shimmer has finally found her bit beast partner! She brings it up to Torch at the register where she also gets herself a bag of sour gummy worms before wishing the store owner a good day and heading back to school with hopes of showing the other girls her new Beyblade, Blaze Phoenix.

Sunset is heading back to the school when she brushes up against a dark magenta girl. "Oh, I am so sorry for that, ma'am. I genuinely did not see you there until now." Sunset apologizes.

"I know you didn't. These sidewalks can be a little tricky. Try to watch your step." The girl gives some advice and disappears into a small crowd nefore Sunset could even ask her name.

"Okay, that girl seemed a little indifferent. Helpful but indifferent. I gotta get back to the school." Sunset Shimmer mumbles to herself before rushing off towards Canterlot High.

10 minutes later, Sunset is arriving back at Canterlot High, but that is the point when Sunset runs into four upperclassmen, all of whom are being scouted for recruitment next year into the Navy. "Are you kidding me? I bumped into someone else? I am so sorry, you guys."

"Don't worry about it, Sunset, we all forget to look where we're going sometimes. And when that happens, it is literally nothing but a matter of time before we bump into somebody." The tall guy, which happens to literally be the only male in the whole group, explains.

"Yeah, I guess... I'm sorry, I don't think I caught your name." Sunset realizes, blushing in embarrassment.

"Don't worry about it. I'm Spitfire." Another firehead girl who is clearly the leader of this group introduces herself, before she turns to this toothpick of a girl with wavey light Aqua hair, and a shorter slightly more stockey girl With white hair and a windblown slicked back style. "These girls are Fleetfoot and Misty Fly. And the skyscraper currently standing in front of you is Soarin" Spitfire says, turning her attention to the tall muscular guy as she introduces him.

"It is very nice to meet all of you, However, we should probably get into the school." Sunset manages to flip past Soarin, but she is immediately caught off guard when he asks her a question.

"You went to the Hobby Shop and got yourself a Beyblade, didn't you? And that's why you're not already in the school, isn't it?"

Sunset stops in her scratch and turns back to face Soarin, Only a tiny bit intimidated, however, not letting that show. "As a matter of fact, yes, I did. But how did you know that?"

"Your beyblade is sticking out of your pocket. A fire elemental huh? Assuming you've not had any battles yet, how about you let me and Glacier Golem be your debut opponent?" Soarin offers right after he gets done explaining.

"Okay, you're on!" Sunset is smiling as Fleetfoot steps up to act as referee

"This match is first to 2 points. Burst finish ends it, survivor or ring out finish, 1 point each. Everybody ready? Go!"

Let It Rip!" Everyone shouts

"Come on, Blaze Phoenix, Go Shoot!" Sunset pulls the winder as instead of making the English rip call, she messes up and screams the Japanese rip call at the top of her lungs.

"Let's do this Glacier Golem!" Soarin says as his bey takes the center.

'I wonder why he isn't attacking. He probably has mega confedence in Golem's repelling abilities.' Sunset thinks to herself. " If you're not gonna make a move then I will! Get ready Golem, because Phoenix is coming at you. Go Blaze Phoenix, attack!" Phoenix hits Golem, knocking it out of the center, however, sunset does not like the look of that smirk on Soarin's face.

"It's time to counter attack Golem, Icicle Crash!" Glacier Golem swings back like a pendulum and smacks hard into Blaze Phoenix, sending the immortal bird flying, only to smack against the wall and burst.

"Blaze Phoenix!" Sunset picks up the pieces of her Beyblade and puts it back together.

"And with that burst finish, seeing the score at 2-0, the winner of this match is Soarin!" Fleetfoot announces.

"Hey, Sunset, Don't give up just because you lost one match. Keep going, you have potential, and a real talent for this." Soarin encourages Sunset and the five students walk back up into the Canterlot High School building together.

This is taking place literally right after the weekend that Spike's victory over the dark crystal blader himself and the reveal that it was Shining Armor under the mask had kicked off.
