Chapters On the train to Canterlot, everypony was buzzed with excitement for the upcoming royal wedding. Pinkie Pie had laughed herself to sleep, conveniently sitting next to Twilight at the time. Pinkie's head fell limp, and onto Twilight's shoulder.
"Uh, Twilight? Are you really gonna let Pinkie Pie sleep on you like that?" Rainbow Dash asked, grabbing everypony else's attention.
Twilight was deep in thought, thinking about the wedding, why Shining Armor didn't tell her about his marriage plans, who Princess Mi Amore Cadenza was, and what she was going to say to him about this.
"Twilight? Darling?" Rarity called Twilight's name with concern in her voice.
"Oh, yeah, it's fine as long as she doesn't snore."
Twilight didn't notice Pinkie sleeping on her shoulder until she looked over to see a sleeping, drooling Pinkie Pie, probably dreaming of frosting. Twilight just blushed and looked away.
Around an hour later, they arrived at Canterlot, spotting a numerous amount of guards surrounding the entrance.
"My, my, my, whatever is the reason for all these guards? Rarity asked, in her posh voice of course.
"Twilight, dontcha think you should wake Pinkie Pie up?" Applejack asked, completely ignoring Rarity's question.
Rarity just scoffed.
"Oh, yeah." Twilight said dryly. She'd been deep in thought the entire trip.
Twilight nudged Pinkie to wake up, Pinkie's vanilla frosting smelling breath on Twilight's neck. Pinkie's eyes fluttered until they were completely open.
"Morning Twi!" Pinkie said in her usual cheery, sweet voice.
Twilight thought it was sweet. And kind of cute too.
"uh, Twilight? Are you getting off the train?" Fluttershy asked. As soon as Fluttershy asked, Twilight realized she was still sitting.

As Twilight walked out the departing train, Pinkie Pie looked at Twilight, and moved to Fluttershy's left side, seemingly avoiding Twilight. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash just lifted their eyebrows and moved on.
They headed into Canterlot to prepare the decorations and all the other necessities for the wedding, as Twilight stood idly by.
"You've got a big brother to congratulate." Applejack reminded Twilight.
"Yeah, congratulate. And then give him a piece of my mind." Twilight replied harshly. Everypony just stood there, concern on their faces.
I can't believe I fell asleep on Twilight of all the ponies! Why not Rarity? Or Applejack? Or, heck, even Rainbow Dash! Pinkie blushed at the thought.
"Uh, Pinkie Pie? Are.. You ok?" Rainbow asked with concern in her voice. "You're looking pinker than usual."
Pinkie snapped back to reality real fast. "Yep, juuust peachy!" Pinkie assured. The others headed off to their stations. Twilight going to each after she "congratulated" Shining Armor.
Applejack was finishing up the banquet preparations, when Cadence popped in the kitchen to check how things were going. When Cadence told Applejack she wanted to be called "Princess Mi Amore Cadenza" Twilight simply rolled her eyes.
After, Twilight stopped at Rarity's station to basically complain.
Ironically, Cadence stopped to see how the dresses were coming along.
The current bridesmaids loved the dresses the way they were, but Cadenza thought otherwise.
"Make them a different colour." Cadenza demanded.
"Geez, maybe her name should be Princess Demandypants." Twilight growled.
"Okay, lemme see!" Pinkie said excitedly.
"We've been over the games, the dances! Ah! I think this reception is gonna be PERFECT!" Pinkie screamed.
"Perfect!.. If we were celebrating a 6 year old's birthday party." Cadenza rudely commented.
Pinkie gasped. "Thank you!" Pinkie started sniffing around.
She smelled something.
"I smell book dust. Twilight, are you here?" Pinkie asked suspiciously. " 'Cause if you are, then I have to... Be somewhere!"
Twilight came out of her hiding place.
"Pinkie, wait!" Twilight called out.
Pinkie Pie was already gone. Twilight just sighed. "How does she go that fast?! " Twilight muttered under her breath.
Why is she avoiding me, I wonder? Twilight thought to herself.
"Bet I can guess what you're all thinking!" Twilight said as she levitated a smoothie with her magic.
"Cadence is the worst Bride-to-be ever." Twilight said as her glass clinked against the table.
"Who? Me?" Spike asked, pulling out a Cadence cake topper, in a high pitched girly voice.
"Spike! That goes on top of the cake!" Applejack protested.
Spike just let out a nervous laugh.
"Twilight, darling, why whatever are you talking about? Rarity asked. "She's an absolute doll!"
"But she was so demanding!" Twilight protested. "AJ, did you know that after Cadence said she just loooved your hor d'oeuvres, she threw them away?"
"Probably was just tryna spare my feelins." Applejack calmly responded.
"She raised her voice at one of my song birds during our rehearsals." Fluttershy added.
"See? Rude!" Twilight said defensively.
"But he was singing really off-key. Fluttershy pulled out her bird friend, and she was right, he was singing really off key.
"Pinkie Pie, you had to have noticed how Cadence was asking." Twilight said in a questioning tone.
"Huh? Yeah sure I guess." Pinkie said, trying not to stutter.
Twilight, being as uninvolved in romance as she is, has no idea what this means.
"Nevermind I guess?" Twilight said, a concerned look on her face, as well as everyone else's.
She's not talking to me either? This has got to stop. Twilight thought to herself.
"Rainbow, you're with me, right?" Twilight asked, almost pleading.
"Sorry ,Twi. I've been too busy stretching for my Sonic Rainboom to pay much attention to the bride's 'bad attitude'." Dash said.
"Dontcha think you're overreactin'? Just a tad?" Applejack asked in a meaningful tone. Everypony agreed.
"You're all just so caught up in your wedding planning to notice that there shouldn't even be a wedding!" Twilight shouted.
"Twilight?" Pinkie called her name, in a confused tone.
Around 30 minutes later, Twilight came running through the door.
"Shining Armor's in real trouble, you have to help!" Twilight exclaimed before realizing that her friends were wearing bridesmaids dresses.
"Can you believe it? We're going to be Princess Cadenza's new bridesmaids!" Fluttershy said, full of glee.
"New bridesmaids? What ever happened to her old bridesmaids?" Twilight asked.
"She didn't say, but she said that she would absolutely looove if we would fill in for them. And you had your doubts about her." Applejack said.
They all started talking about how excited they were for the wedding. Twilight simply walked away.

The next morning, Princess Celestia had the mane 6 (all except for Twilight) practice walking down the aisle. Next came Cadence walking down the aisle.
"And now, receive the ring from the best mare." Celestia said.
Twilight was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, Twilight came bursting through the gigantic double doors.
"I'm here. But I am not standing next to her , and neither should any of you." Twilight said, angered.
"Oh goodness, Twilight, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked.
"I'm fine."
"She sure is." Pinkie muttered under her breath. Rainbow Dash heard Pinkie and just raised her eyebrow a little too high up.
"What?" Pinkie asked, as if she hadn't said anything.
"You absolutely sure 'bout that?" AJ asked.
Twilight lit up her horn, and covered Applejack's face with her hat, and pushed her away.
"She's evil !" Twilight pointed an accusing hoof at Cadence. Gasps came from everyone's mouth at the accusation.
Twilight stated reasons as to why Cadence was allegedly evil, and after, stood there with a very smug look on her face.
"Why are you doing this to me?" Cadence asked, whilst crying very fake tears.
"Because you're evil ! Evil!" Twilight shouted after her.
Twilight walked back into the room, bumping into Shining Armor and gave a sheepish smile. Shining Armor explained why Cadence might not be one her best behavior, and ended his conversation with her by saying
"And you can forget being my best mare. If i were you i wouldn't come to the wedding at all . And Shining simply walked away.
Twilight's friends just stood there, worried expressions on their faces.
"Come on y'all, let's make sure the princess is okay." AJ said.
They all left the room, Pinkie staying back a bit, giving a look asking if Twilight was okay.
Twilight just shook her head.
Pinkie gave another look saying she couldn't help Twilight, and walked away. Like that, her friends were gone.
"You have a lot to think about." Celestia coldly said.
after a minute or two, Cadence appeared in front of Twilight, a calming expression on her face.
"I'm so, sorry." Twilight apologized.
"You will be."
"What matters are her feelings guys! Pinkie protested. "Just because Twilight made a mistake doesn't mean she's totally wrong."
"Pinkie does make a good point." Fluttershy inquired.
"I'm going to make sure Twilight is okay." Pinkie said, walking away.
"Orrrr, make o-" Rainbow stopped herself. Pinkie sent a mean glare at Rainbow Dash. If she had ever finished that sentence, Pinkie would pull 30 days of pranks on Rainbow, all unpredictable.
When Pinke discovered Twilight to be missing, she thought nothing of it.
She's probably in the library, that is her happy place after all. Pinkie thought to herself. She trotted back to the room where the rest of her friends were.
However, this just simply wasn't the case.

After Twilight and the real Cadence escaped from the crystal caves, and Chrysalis revealed her true form, the mane 6 were set out to find the elements of harmony.
Changelings fell out of the sky, darting at full speed like arrows. One almost hitting Pinkie Pie.
"Pinkie, watch out!" Twilight shouted. Twilight's instincts got the best of her.
Twi lit up her horn and levitated Pinkie out of the way. In return, Pinkie gave Twilight a warm smile, accompanied with a rouge coloured blush.
As they ran to the chamber containing the elements of harmony, they all were shocked to see hundreds if not thousands of changelings blocking the entrance way.
"Aw, shut the fuck up. We have to beat the fucking shit outta these stupid ass minions?" Pinkie asked, with irritation in her voice.
Everypony just stared at Pinkie in shock, they had never heard Pinkie use such profanity before. She said the occasional 'damn' or 'hell' but never this.
"No comment." Rainbow Dash said.
"Can't believe we have to do this at the beginning and at the end of every fucking season." Pinkie added.
"Whadda you mean season ?" Applejack asked.
"Every five months i mean." Pinkie corrected herself.
"Again, no comment." Rainbow said.
"You're sayin' no comment, but yer still commentin!" AJ shouted.
"Darlings, aren't we supposed to defeat these minions right about now?" Rarity reminded everypony.
"Oh, right!" everyone else said.
Rarity just put her hoof to her forehead in disbelief.
After the fight with changelings was over, the mane 6 entered the hallway containing the elements of harmony, only to discover that the hallway was bombarded with changelings. They were all captured, and brought back to the castle.
"It's funny, really. Twilight over here was suspicious of my behavior all along." Chrysalis put her hoof up to Twilight's chin and Twilight swatted it away.
"But you all were too caught up in your wedding planning to realize those suspicions were correct!" Chrysalis said with an evil chuckle.
"We're real sorry Twi." AJ apologized.
Everyone agreed.
"It's not your fault, she bamboozled everypony."
"Hmm.. I did, didn't I?" Chrysalis responded.
Chrysalis started singing about how she really did fool everybody.
Twilight walked over to Cadence to free her.
"Quick, go to Shining while you still can." Twilight told Cadence in a hurry.
Cadence did as she was instructed, and ended up freeing Shining with her power to spread love.
Shining Armor shook his head. "Is the wedding over?"
"It's all over!" Chrysalis stood in front of them.
"Quick, perform your protection spell!" Cadence said in a hurry.
"What good does that do? My changelings already roam in the streets." Chrysalis reminded.
Shining Armor tried, but failed.
"My love will give you strength." Cadence reassured.
Chrysalis just rolled her eyes.
It worked. Cadence and Shining Armor's bodies formed a heart, dispelling all changelings, and saving the day.
Twilight rushed over to Celestia, helping her up.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me."
They restarted everything, and put on a proper wedding, and it was perfect.
Just one more issue,
Pinkie was still avoiding Twilight. And Twilight wanted to know why.
The after party started out with slow dance type music.
Twilight gave Pinkie a nod of approval, to lighten the party up.
Pinkie gasped and almost immediately left, but first hugged Twilight and planted a small kiss on Twilight's left cheek. Twilight blushed profusely, grabbing the attention of Rarity.
"I guess love really is in bloom for you Twilight." Rarity teased. Twilight just rolled her eyes and focused them back on Pinkie, who had DJ P0N3 next to her, getting ready to throw a microphone for Twi to sing into.
And like that, Twilight caught the microphone with her magic and started singing.

After the wedding was over, and the mane 6 were headed back to ponyville, the train ride between Pinkie and Twilight was... Awkward, to say the least.
"Has anyone else noticed how quiet Pinkie and Twilight have been?" Rainbow Dash asked.
Everybody either shrugged or mumbled 'i don't know'.
Can't believe Pinkie kissed me, does this mean she likes me back or something? Twilight thought to herself. Then Twilight remembered that Pinkie was also avoiding her, and she wanted to figure out why.

"Pinkie Pie?" Twilight called from the other side, motioning her hoof for Pinkie to come sit next to her. As Pinkie made her way to Twilight's side, she blushed, slowly but surely spreading across her face.
"Pinkie Pie, can I ask you a question?" Twilight asked.
"Sure, what's up?"
"I wanna know why you've been avoiding me since the first train ride to Canterlot." Twilight said simply.
Pinkie blushed profusely.
"Well, I, um.." Pinkie started, but had some trouble finishing. "I was kind of embarrassed, and I am embarrassed to say, Twilight?"
"Yes?"
"I kinda, sorta, have a crush on you. Please don't hate me!" Pinkie said, rushed.
"Same here, Pinkie."
Pinkie again blushed profusely, then smiled bigger than her biggest smile, and proceeded to give Twilight a big hug, followed by a short but sweet kiss on Twilight's lips. Twilight returned, and gave Pinkie a small smile.
"YES!" Fluttershy shouted. Everypony just stared at Fluttershy.
"What? I was waiting for my ship to become official." Fluttershy said defensively.
"Gay asses." Rainbow mocked.
"Don't be a liar, Rainbow Dash, you act like you aren't a les-" Applejack was cut off by a skye blue hoof.
"Heh, heh... Yeah don't say anything about that."
