Shimmering Vectorsby SuperSaiyanDicloniusChaptersChapter 1Chapter 3Chapter 4Chapter 5Chapter 2Chapter 1A cold anger gripped the young Unicorn's heart. Sunset Shimmer couldn't understand why her mentor kept trying to push this nonsense on her. Friendship? Seriously!? She came here to learn magic! To gain power! Not to waste her time helping others who couldn't help themselves. Sunset shook the day's lecture from her mind and focused on what she came here for...the mirror. Princess Celestia had told her that the mirror was a doorway to another world. An ugly, barbaric world without magic ruled by aggressive hairless apes that were meaner than the Dragons and the Changelings combined! As far as Sunset was concerned, these guys had the right idea. Power is what mattered, and she knew in her heart that she was destined for greatness, and if the only ones who could appreciate that were monsters, then so be it. She channeled her icy blue magic from her horn into the sigils on the mirror, the sigils began to glow, then the glow poured into the mirror, creating a brilliant explosion of light that Sunset had to shield her eyes from. When she lowered her foreleg, she saw a swirling vortex of brilliant blue light leading to another world, a world she was determined to rule. Sunset smiled at her success and gave her saddle bags one final check when suddenly the doors behind the rebellious Unicorn flew open, revealing her former mentor and a pair of guards. "Sunset! Step away from that portal!!" Sunset Shimmer glared at Celestia with fresh anger. "You still think I'm not ready! You still think I'm not good enough for the real lessons!! But I'll never be ready if you keep wasting my time with this 'friendship' nonsense!!" The Unicorn shouted as she stepped towards the portal. "Sunset please! That world is too dangerous! You don't kno-" Celestia's pleas were interrupted by Sunset's fury. "IT'S A WORLD! WITHOUT! MAGIC!! WE COULD'VE ALREADY RULED IT IF YOU LET US!! BUT YOU WANT US TO WASTE OUR MAKING FRIENDS!!!" Sunset spat the word with all the venom she could muster. Celestia's eyes shrank to pin pricks as she realized just how little Sunset understood what she was about to do. "STOP HER!!" She shouted to the guards while channeling her magic to arrest her wayward student. Unfortunately, after a recent Changeling attack a few months ago, Celestia had deigned to teach Sunset Shimmer some defensive spells. When she saw her mentor's horn begin to glow, she channeled her magic inward to resist outside magic. It wouldn't allow her to resist an Alicorn for long, but it gave her a split second to turn from her treacherous mentor and leap through the portal. What followed was a miasma of colors as Sunset tore through the Infinite Planes of Reality before she finally stumbled and landed face first on a field of white sand. Sunset groaned as she rose on all fours. Her body felt strange, the first thing she noticed was that her forelegs, face, and upper rear thighs were colder than the rest of her body. When she opened her eyes, the second thing she noticed was that she was in a dimly lit shack made of sheet metal. The building was missing a wall and floor, giving Sunset a clear view of the beach she had landed on in the middle of the night. Finally, as she brought a forehoof up to wipe away the sand she landed in...she noticed her body. "WAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!" Sunset shouted as she backpedaled at the shocking sight of her own limb, now devoid of it's orange fur and ending in a strange appendage that reminded her of a griffon's talon. Her eyes drifted from her forelimbs to the rest of her body. She realized the reason parts of her body were colder than the rest is because she was wearing clothes. Likely because her new body seemed to be one of the hairless apes the stories said ruled this world. Her hairless skin was a milky white that leaned towards pink, and her mane had become a bright pink she had seen in pictures of Princess Celestia before her ascension. The front of her body was covered in a light blue T-shirt and a(SWEET CELESTIA!!) black leather jacket. It also felt as though there was something beneath the shirt that clinging tightly to the strange mounds of flesh atop her chest. The back end of her body was covered with a reddish pink skirt and black leggings, with whatever odd appendages adorned her back legs being obscured by what she could only describe as false hooves. She kept looking herself over and flexing the talons that replaced her hooves(she swear she could feel smaller ones on her back hooves) until she heard creatures coming. "I'm telling ya, I just heard some chick screamin' ovah here." A male voice grew loader as a group approached. "Oh, she's gonna be screamin'. Ain't no bitch trespassin' on our turf without puttin' out!" Another declared with malicious intent. Sunset grinned to herself, time to show these apes what real power looked like. She straightened herself up as best she could, her long back legs making it awkward to hold her head high until she settled for bending her knees to the ground, and then she... realized her magic was gone!! "What? No no no no no no no no NOOOOOOO!!!" She cried out in a panic. "Hey! She's over here!!" A voice brought Sunset back to her terrible reality. A gang of three thugs stood tall over Sunset on their back legs alone, their front legs hanging loosely by the sides of their chests. The three thugs scrutinized Sunset, who they found staring up at them on her hands and knees with a panicked expression. "Jeez! This slut's twinking out! What do you think she's on?" One of them asked. "What the- Are those...HORNS!?" Another exclaimed while pointing at Sunset's head. "Probably some stupid cosplay shit. Whatever, just means she'll be easier to hold down while she blows me." The biggest meanest one sneered. He was obviously the leader, and while Sunset didn't know what he was talking about, she knew it wasn't anything good. Sunset's mind raced. Her magic wasn't working, her body was unfamiliar, there were no weapons in reach, and three male apes that were much bigger than her were closing in with lecherous grins. "...I...uh...this...she..." The big male whistled. "Damn, you are on some baaad shit! Ya got anymore?" "Wuh... what do you-AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" The big male wrapped his talons in Sunset's mane and pulled her off the ground and slammed into the shed wall behind her. "You deaf bitch? Where're yer drugs at?" "I-I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOU-AAH!!" The thug slapped Sunset across the face with the back of his talon. "You so fucked up you can't understand Japanese!? Screw it, we'll find'em ourselves." With no further warning, the thug pulled down the zipper on Sunset's jacket and squeezed one of the mounds on her chest, illiciting an involuntary moan as he began harshly kissing her neck. ...is...is he...OH TARTARUS NO!!! Sunset's fear gave way to pride as she sought to preserve her dignity. She imitated her attacker by wrapping one talon in his mane and pulling him off far enough to slap him across the face with her other talon. Wasting no time, she turned and braced herself against the wall to deliver a full force buck to her opponent and knock him down as the other two moved in. Sunset turned to slap the first crony, but he grabbed her forelimb...and he didn't slap her. A curled talon collided with her face, four semi-sharp bones trying to pierce her cheekbone as her vision went white and then black. She was immediately returned to cruel consciousness when the other crony's rear(or rather bottom) limb slammed the point of his false hoof into her stomach. Sunset gasped for air as the leader walked up to her, a red mark and an angry scowl being the only damage done. "You could've walked away after we were done, now I'm gonna drown you." The other two apes seized her by her forelimbs and dragged her up. They pulled off her jacket and ripped off her shirt. As the leader began to lift up her skirt, Sunset thought of the events that lead her here. Her mentor's insistence on learning Friendship, her decision to leave Equestria behind, of realizing she hadn't her magic with her. She was better... she was superior!! These lowly apes had no right to treat her like this, they should be begging for their lives and catering to her every need. As her attackers started to remove their own clothes, a darker anger than any Sunset had felt before began to overwhelm her senses. She wanted them to pay, she wanted them to suffer, but more than anything, she wanted them gone! GET THE BUCK OFF MEEE!!! Sunset dropped to the floor like her strings had been cut, she was soaking wet with a sticky salty substance that had temporarily blinded her, and the thugs had all gone silent. Sunset kept her forelimbs up, unsure of what had happened. But after ten seconds of waiting, she took the time to rub her eyes clean...and look. The shed had been painted red. The three apes laid before Sunset in several mutilated pieces, having been bisected and beheaded at the same time by some wickedly serrated blade. Sunset observed some of their talons twitching despite the bisecting strike having lopped off most of their forelimbs just above the elbow. Then she realized that she was soaked in their blood. ...did... did I do that? Sunset pondered, looking to her bloody talons. She remembered how it felt, to hate them so much, and tried to back that hatred back up while at one of their severed heads. Something lashed out from her. Crushing the head like a melon under an Earth Pony's hoof and leaving a bloody print that looked like her talon. That settles it! It was me!! I do still have magic!!! Sunset began to smile. She looked at one of the other heads. She tried to levitate it, but nothing happened. Then she moved her forelimb and it's talon to get a feel for it and tried to imagine picking up the head while channeling her hatred again. It worked! An invisible limb stretched out from her back and grabbed the head in its talon. With a satisfied grin, Sunset crushed it. Alright apes, let's try this again... Author's Note I've been having a bad week...and a bad month...and last year was really bad. So, while I'm not stopping my 40k fics, I am a little burnt out. So I decided to go back to a fic about my comfort show(the year I found this anime was the worst year of my life) Now, a few things going forward. For anyone who thought this opening was unnecessarily cruel: Welcome to Elfen Lied, run while you still can. I hinted at everyone in this fic speaking Japanese. That's because it takes place in Japan and while I might include a 'translation spell' into the lore later, I just didn't want to write a fic where Sunset spent two or three chapters learning Japanese. Now, Sunset's gonna get a little mad with power, but anyone whose seen Elfen Lied knows how this arc ends...then the real fun begins. And that's the opening of this fic, I'll see you all in the next chapter. Chapter 3Kurama called in backup on his cellphone, but was unsurprised to find out the Diclonius that had called itself Sunset Shimmer hadn't been stupid enough to stay in the house he saw her go into, and instead fled out the other side. Now, the single most deranged Diclonius he had ever seen was running around loose, and they had no leads on her location... which only left the nuclear option. "Chief! You can't go back out there in your condition! Let someone else handle this!" A brunette woman in a lab coat, the General Director's assistant, pleaded with him as he walked to his destination with his arm in a cast and numerous bandages all around his body. "I appreciate your concern Dr. Shirakawa, but I'm handling this matter myself. Besides, I'm the only one it'll listen to." Kurama stated grimly as the two reached their destination. A large reinforced steel door marked 7. Kurama grit his teeth. It's been a month since this madness began, an Experiment from General Director Kakuzawa to see if Diclonii can be pacified. Number 7 was the most docile of her kind recorded thus far, and the General Director tasked Kurama with gaining the creature's trust in order to weaponize it against it's own kind. Of course, Kurama knew the 'real' reason the General Director tasked him specifically with this mission, but that was a fight for another day. Right now, he needed the General Director to be right about this. They needed Number 7 to help them track down and capture Sunset Shimmer. Kurama typed a code on the panel next to the door, and it began to open with a loud groan. Inside, the Diclonius was suspended above the ground in a full body strait jacket, it's posture suggesting that it was sleeping. Kurama cleared his throat and called out to it. "Numbe- Nana?" Kurama corrected himself, remembering the creature's name. There was a small groan and a twitch of its head. Kurama called again. "Nana, I need you to wake up. It's...Papa." Kurama spat the word like venom, wishing more than ever to kill the General Director. "...hmmm...pa...*gasp* PAPA!!!" The Diclonius suddenly spasmed as it fought against it's restraints for a split second. Kurama took an instinctive step back and reached for his gun...only to realize that the creature was concerned for him. "Papa! You're hurt!" Nana cried out. Still struggling against her restraints. Kurama relaxed ever so slightly. "You know the rules Nana. Stop struggling, I'm fine." "Oh, I'm sorry Papa." The Diclonius visibly deflated from the scolding tone in his voice. "It's alright, I'm just looking out for you." Kurama stated, directing his head towards the observation window where a watcher stood waiting to electrocute any Diclonius that thrashed around too much. Nana visibly shuddered at the idea and grew quiet. "Thank you Nana. Now listen, I need you to help me capture a rogue Diclonius. She's very dangerous and has killed a lot of people already." Kurama stated. Nana, despite hanging in the air, stood a little straighter. "...Is she the one who hurt you?" Kurama was surprised. Not by Nana's reaction, but by his own. He had always suspected that Nana was no different from the rest of her kind, but this is the first time she sounded like a Diclonius, and it genuinely shocked him to hear the murderous anger in her voice. Sunset awoke with a start. It had been a little over two hours since her encounter with the human warriors and she had spent it all resting. But now, she felt something...odd. It was almost like a mental link. Like her mind was magically connected to someone else's... someone angry. Yes, whoever this was, they were angry. Angry in the same way Sunset was as a filly when another Unicorn threw her into a brick wall. She wanted to hurt him, she wanted to make him pay...but this particular anger was being directed at Sunset herself. As the anger drew closer, Sunset's tired mind finally put together what was happening. There was another magical being, probably that bitch's superior, and she was coming to defend her territory from Sunset's conquest. Heh, bring it on. Nana dropped the small bag that held the radio she used to tell her Papa where to find the rogue Diclonius. Papa told her not to confront the rogue alone, but Nana didn't care. She hurt Papa. Nana scrutinized what she could gather from the mental link the Diclonii had with one another. The rogue was selfish and cruel, but there was something else. Something underneath that Nana couldn't quite read, but it didn't matter. She hurt Papa. The Rogue Diclonius was sleeping in a back alley to avoid attention, but instead, it allowed Nana to corner her. Of course, she had sensed Nana's approach, and met her anger with a confident grin. "Heh, they sent a child to fight me!? Then again, you seem to have magic yourself." Nana narrowed her eyes. At this point, she was four years old, but her accelerated aging made her appear eight. However, the remark on her age, and mention of magic, barely registered with the girl. "...You hurt Papa." Nana stated matter-of-factly. The Rogue stopped smirking as she became confused. "Papa?...Oh! Are you talking about that bitch with the blue eyes and glasses? He shouldn't have got in my way." The Rogue waved her hand dismissively. Nana's narrowed eyes shot open, her pupils shrinking as she gritted her teeth in a feral snarl. Her vectors responded to her rage by grabbing a nearby dumpster and throwing it at the Rogue. Sunset Shimmer's confidence disappeared as she threw her magic in front of her to shield herself. Four handprints exploded onto the dumpster as its momentum halted. Spilling trash out and disorienting Sunset. Then its momentum returned as the angry child that threw it started pushing it to try and crush Sunset. "YOU! HURT! PAPAAA!!!!" Sunset gritted her teeth as she pushed back. "I'M GONNA HURT YOU TOO YA LITTLE BRAT!!" She shouted as she pulled the dumpster up and let her young angry opponent slam it into a wall and smash it. Sunset charged forward as trash and ruined metal rained down behind her. Her magic arms tangled up with her opponent's, which allowed Sunset to take full advantage of her physical superiority over the small girl by kicking her square in the chest and knocking her to the ground gasping for air. "You're dead..." Sunset hissed. As she walked over to her opponent... and got too close. Pain. A burning sensation shot up from her left thigh as her nerves cried out in pain as she inexplicably lost her balance and fell to the ground screaming. She grabbed at her leg instinctively... and finally realized what happened. Nana didn't bother dusting herself off, she didn't care that she was dirty. She hurt Papa. Sunset gasped as something seized her neck and dragged her up into the air. She grit her teeth to focus despite the pain of losing her leg and summoned her magic to fight back. Nana felt the Rogue's vectors shoot forth and try to reach her. But Nana was holding her at the full length of her abnormally long vectors, and sure enough, the Rogue came up short. "YOU! YOU CUT OFF MY LEG!!" Sunset shouted in shock, rage...and a growing amount of fear. "You hurt Papa." The little monster repeated. "You're Papa started it you idiot! He picked a fight! I won! IT'S HIS OWN FAULT!!" Sunset shouted frantically as reality began to set in. "Papa was trying to stop you from hurting people. If you weren't bad, he wouldn't have to fight you." The girl countered. "Bad!? BAD!!? ALL HUMANS ARE BAD! YOU FREAKS KILL EACH OTHER JUST TO HELLO! YOU'RE MONSTERS!!" Sunset shouted back. The other girl cocked her to the side. "Should I say hello to you?" Sunset didn't have a chance to answer before she was slammed into the ground and blacked out. Kurama could only watch slack jawed as 7 dragged the unconscious Diclonius and her severed leg in separate vectors before dropping them before the recovery team like a cat bringing it's owner a dead bird. The younger soldiers whispered their shock at the brutal injuries this young girl had inflicted while the more seasoned soldiers stated their shock that 7 hadn't killed the target... before dismissing it as a Diclonius showing mercy to it's own kind. Kurama, however, was quite upset. "You were told not to engage! Why did you disobey me!?" 7 took a step back as if she had been struck. "B-...I...Sh-she hurt you." The young girl whimpered. "That doesn't matter. If she had escaped, who knows how many people would've died. You can't act on your own!" Kurama scolded the creature in front of him. He had expected frustration, perhaps anger or fear of punishment, he hadn't expected the creature to start crying. "Ee EEEAAAAAAH!!! NANA DIDN'T MEAN IT PAPA!! SHE DIDN'T MEAN TO BE BAD!!" Kurama was taken aback. 7 had always been the least hostile, but she was still one of them... wasn't she? Before he realized his mistake, Kurama took a step forward. The monster seized it's chance and lunged at him. Kurama saw his life flash before his eyes... before realizing that Nana was hugging him. "Nana doesn't want to be bad! She doesn't want to hurt people to say hello!!" Kurama saw his men aiming their weapons at Nana and waved them off, before slowly laying his hand on Nana's head. "You aren't bad Nana, I just didn't want you to get hurt." And to Kurama's shock, he meant it. Sunset sat on her hind quarters fighting back tears as a nurse gently applied disinfectant to her scrapes and bruises while another applied a cast to her broken forehoof. That miserable donkey. Celestia will throw him out for sure. Sunset thought to herself in regards to the older Unicorn who threw Sunset into a brick wall with his magic. The nurse for a moment when Princess Celestia walked into the room with her head lowered and her mane obscuring her eyes. Sunset smiled briefly before willing herself to start crying again. "Princess! Princess! Look what that brute did to me. It huurts!!" Celestia raised her head, her expression showed concern, but also disappointment. Sunset. I spoke with Yellow Jacket. He told me that you were teasing his sister for not making it into the School for Gifted Unicorns. Is that true?" Sunset was confused by the question, too confused to deny it. "Why should that matter!? He threw me into a brick wall." Celestia, for the first time in Sunset's life, showed genuine anger towards. "Yes! And he has sent home to reflect on this for a month! But that doesn't excuse you! What could possess you to do such a thing!" Had Sunset been a little older, a little wiser, she would've realized now was the time to lie, feign an apology, anything. But she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that she was in trouble at all. "A MONTH!? he should be expelled for this! She can't treat me like this!" Celestia exploded. "MAYBE YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE EXPELLED YOUNG LADY!! HOW CAN YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HIS ANGER AFTER BEING CRUEL TO HIS SISTER!?" Sunset shrank. The thought of expulsion finally driving the young filly to submission. "I... I'm sorry. Please don't expell me. I swear I'll make it up to him." Celestia scrutinized her for a moment before finally dropping her scowl. "You are going to spend the next month with Yellow Jacket learning how to get along and make amends. This is your last chance. Don't wast- Pain. Sunset screamed in pain as her nervous system spasmed for three seconds and then stopped. After two breaths, she realized that she had been electrocuted. Then she remembered. "Look at me." A familiar voice stated stoically. Sunset raised her and saw that bitch staring her down despite being several feet lower than her. Sunset was suspended off the ground in a full body straight jacket with a metal helmet locked to her head. Sunset tried to cut herself loose. She destroyed the jacket, but there were steel wires within it that kept her suspended, her vectors couldn't cut through them. The pain returned. Sunset screamed in agony until the electricity subsided. "There's no escape. You'll never hurt anyone ever again." The bitch stated coldly. "The only reason you're still alive is because my superior is curious about you." Sunset could only stare at him. She was caught. Her life was in their hands, human hands, but she refused to show weakness so easily. "Where is she then? Too scared to show her face?" The bitch arched an eyebrow in confusion before realizing who Sunset was talking about. "He has more important things to do. I will be overseeing your tests...36." Author's Note I think I'll end this chapter here. Next chapter gonna do a three year jump to Lucy's escape with Sunset getting caught up in it. I'm still up in the air on whether she'll face turn immediately, or still be villainous a while longer. I think I described losing a limb properly. I'm not an amputee myself, but I have been cut before and know that spreads out a little. Any pointers would be welcome. Also, my deepest apologies for taking so long. I lost one job, got another job, lost that job, and finally found another one that doesn't pay too well. Suffice to say, chapters are not gonna start flying, but I still intend to finish this fic. Leave your thoughts below, thank you all for reading, and I'll see you in the next one. Chapter 4Pain. It had become Sunset Shimmer's entire world. She had come to this primitive magic less world to rule it with an iron hoof. But in less than 24 hours, she was a prisoner of these savage monsters. She had tried to be defiant at first, but in the three long agonizing years that she had spent in conditions that would be cruel for livestock, her will had broken. She had even offered to lead her captors to Equestria if they would just let her go, but they refused to believe that she was a magical Unicorn from another world. To them, she was a Diclonius. A mutant strain of humans possessing psychokinetic invisible limbs called vectors that were basically made of solid vibrations in the shape of tentacles with hands. Diclonii could mentally raise or lower the vibrational frequency of their vectors to interact with solid objects, move through solid objects, or cut solid objects apart like vibrating sword whips. Diclonii also had another, more dangerous ability. They reproduced parasitically by spreading a virus that caused humans to produce Diclonius children. If left unchecked, such a virus could potentially wipe out the human race completely... Sunset didn't see a downside there. It didn't take her long to realize she wasn't just being punished here. The bitch called Kurama may actually think he's doing the right thing, but most of the other humans here were simply cruel. The experiments they did were non productive, they had already gained all the information they could from shooting cannonballs at naked girls chained to the wall long ago, but they kept doing it. They say it's to monitor fluctuations in their vectors power, but Sunset didn't believe that. They would also be infected with various illnesses, to test their immune systems. Which were thankfully strong enough that Sunset never stayed sick for long. Of course, the tests were nothing compared to the showers. Sunset, and presumably the others, were sprayed down with a fire hose from a 5 meter distance by a man who, when no one else from the facility was watching, would focus his attention on his targets privates. Sunset couldn't believe that she had lost her innocence to a bucking hose. He was definitely the one she hated the most. It was during one of these showers that it finally happened. Sunset was left dripping wet, freezing cold, and quivering in shameful pleasure as the lecherous bastard cleaned himself off and pulled up his pants. "Ha, you got yourself dirty again you filthy horny slut! You must really love my hose! But I guess it is better than the cannon balls, isn't it? Hey, they ever shoot you in the snatch?" Sunset used to curse, promise death and pain. Then she used to plead, scream for help, pray for Celestia to come save her. Now, all she did was wait for him to finish. "Don't worry you horny bitch, I'll get you nice and cle-" The lech was interrupted by the sound of a door opening. It was then that Sunset and her tormentor, both absorbed in their own thoughts, realized that an alarm had been going off... because a Diclonius had gotten loose. The naked woman stared at the hose bearing lech through the metal helmet they were all forced to wear when confined to their cells. In spite of it, Sunset could sense the hatred pouring from her obscured eyes. The lech barely had time to scream before his balls pulped. Causing him to fall silent as the shock briefly paralyzed him. The Diclonius threw him into Sunset's lethal range and walked away. Humming to herself. "La-la-laaaa-la-la la-la-laaaa-la-la-la-laaa la-la-la-laaaa..." Sunset stared after her for a moment before a wet slap told her the lech was trying to crawl away. Oh no you don't! A surge of vengeful fury ignited inside of Sunset Shimmer as she seized the lech by the throat and grabbed the keys to her shackles from him. As she unlatched herself, she thought of every lecherous grin and promise he gave her before sedating her. Every bruise and hickie she woke up with. Her shackles hit the floor as sunset stretched and massaged her wrists and ankle while the lech wriggled in her grasp. "Now then, let's clean you up." Using two of her vectors as crutches, Sunset dragged the dying man over to his precious hose and shoved the nozzle down his throat, breaking his jaw in the process. Her vectors held the lech and his hose in place as she turned the water on. Forcing him to drink several gallons of water as he struggled to breath through his nose despite the large object in his throat. Blood continue to pour from his groin, and it wasn't long before he started to pass out. "Not yet bitch!" Sunset snarled as she slit his belly, causing the water to spill out of his ruptured stomach. She grinned as his eyes shot open from that final shock before he finally succumbed with a few errant twitches. Sunset held him there until the water washed all the blood from his guts and her leg. "Allll clean." She sang. Sunset dried her body with the lech's lab coat before running to catch up with her rescuer. She followed the sounds of cannon fire and found her cutting through a squad of soldiers. Sunset knew she didn't need any help, but she wanted to rip into these bitches too. Sunset launched herself forward with her vectors. Speeding past the other Diclonius and cutting off the soldiers who were trying to run. With nowhere to go, the men started screaming frantically. Desperately firing their weapons to no effect until there was only one left, who had dropped his weapon and crawled against the wall, trying to make himself as small as possible. It didn't work. The other Diclonius cut him in half while Sunset crushed his skull. Spattering both women with blood. "Payback, bitch!" The other Diclonius didn't respond, she simply walked into the elevator the soldiers had been trying to reach. Sunset followed her, taking note of the fact that the other Diclonius didn't seem willing to wait on her. The elevator closed just as Sunset entered and began climbing up. They were all held under ground, and each elevator only went up one floor for exactly this scenario. Sunset and her new friend would have to fight their way up every single floor to get out. Sunset didn't have time to ask the other Diclonius her name or plan before they reached the next floor. The doors didn't have a chance to open before soldiers on the other side fired their cannons. The Diclonii had expected this and already had their vectors up, rendering the attack pointless. All those cannon balls they shot at us to see how strong our vectors are, and they're still using these pathetic weapons? Sunset thought to herself. The doors to the elevator opened. Revealing the two Diclonii to be completely unharmed and holding several of the tooth shaped cannonballs suspended in the air. The other Diclonius dropped the cannonballs she had caught. Sunset had a better idea. "I think these are yours." She said with a grin as she threw the projectiles back. A rush of euphoria rippled through Sunset's mind as she saw the display of power play out. Men were struck in the head, body, and limbs. Screaming in pain as they fell to the ground or falling silently in some cases. The other Diclonius silently moved on, beheading and bisecting the wounded soldiers as she passed. Sunset was absolutely giddy. She was back in full swing, but she was not ignorant as she was before though. She knew that the only way to survive was with allies... with friends. She would've devoted herself wholly to Celestia's teachings if Celestia had come to rescue her. But she was more than happy to help another like minded soul get her revenge on these vile humans. She didn't know a lot about her new ally, and now wasn't the time to start a conversation, but she didn't seem like she'd object to Sunset having her way with the human world. Sunset blinked as she realized she wasn't thinking of betraying this girl to seize power later, or returning to Equestria to get her revenge on Celestia. If anything, she missed her old teacher. Now that she had a moment to think, she realized that even if she escaped, the two of them alone wouldn't last long if there were more Diclonii like the child who cut off Sunset's leg three years ago. The best option was to get out. The other Diclonius reached a bloody vector to open the next elevator. "Hey, when we get out of this place, I know where we can go so they can't find us." The other didn't pause, but she did at least turn her head and, after a pause, nod to Sunset. The two Diclonii entered the next elevator and ascended. "... I'm Sunset by the way." Sunset said as they waited for the elevator to stop and the cannonballs to start flying again. "... Lucy." "Hurry!" Kurama shouted at the men behind him as he ran to the elevator, desperately trying to cut off the monsters who would slaughter the human race if he allowed them to escape. The dozen men he brought with him took up positions and chambered their MP5s. Kurama grit his teeth. The 50cals were locked behind a coded gate that was taking too long to open. Kurama couldn't count the times he had pleaded with the General Director for better weapons. Hell, even cheaper weapons like American shotguns had a better chance at stopping Diclonii than 9mm submachine guns...they might as well be airsoft guns. But they were all he had to work with, so he ordered each of his men to aim for a different limb. If they could hurt the Diclonii then there would be a brief window where their vectors couldn't protect them. That was the only chance he had. The elevator opened. The men tensed but didn't fire yet, per Kurama's orders. Their weapons only had a chance if they had every possible advantage, especially accuracy. The monsters stepped out, and Kurama couldn't have imagined a worse combo. Lucy, patient zero, the original Diclonius who started killing humans indiscriminately at the age of 9 when she slaughtered four children her own age. Yet as disturbing as Lucy was, Kurama would freely admit that he was tempted ignore her in favor of the other. Sunset Shimmer glared at him with a feral smile. "I was waiting for you bitch. Where's your brat?" Kurama didn't answer, he prepared to give the order when- CRASH!!! All the intensity of the room briefly vanished at the sound someone tripping and falling directly in between the two opposing sides. Kurama tried to wrap his head around what just happened. When he did... His blood froze. "Kisaragi!!!" Kurama shouted as he recognized his personal assistant. A scatterbrained woman who had no right or reason to be in a place like this. Kurama should've fired her long ago, but her clumsy antics had often proven to be the only thing he could look forward to in his new grim life. The woman started when her name was shouted. "Chief Kurama!! I-I'm so sorry sir! I'll clean it up right away!" Kisaragi said as she collected the shattered plate and tea cup she had been carrying...to Kurama... while blissfully unaware of the alarms and sirens going off all around her and, more importantly, the two murderous Diclonii right behind her! Kurama tried to run towards her, but his men stopped him. KISARAGI RUN!!!" He shouted as tried to break free. The woman paused to stare at him with a confused expression as the Diclonii walked towards her. "Why? What's going on?" "JUST RUUUUN!!!!" Kurama shouted as Lucy grabbed Kisaragi's shoulder with a bloody vector. Kisaragi finally turned her head in the danger's direction, but was quickly snatched off her feet and suspended between the humans and Diclonii. "Aw, you have a friend." Sunset cooed sweetly before turning her sweet smile into a sadistic grin. "If you don't want to get her back in pieces, make a hole bitch." The soldiers hesitated for a moment. "Sir, what are our orders?" Kisaragi made a sound. It could've been a plea for help, or just a request to know what was happening. Either way, Sunset seized her throat with a vector, drawing blood in four places. "Well bitch, what are their orders?" "He won't do it." All eyes turned to Lucy, her obscured face still radiating pure malice. "Innocent lives are acceptable losses for the sake of humanity, right." Kurama grit his teeth. "Right. I'm sorry Kisaragi, but I can't afford to let them pass. Fi-" Sunset didn't wait for the command. Kisaragi flew into one side of the squad while Sunset flung herself into the other. Blood and limbs flew in every direction as Kurama dove for Kisaragi. Seizing the opportunity to get her out of danger. Kurama grabbed the woman's shirt and pulled her up into a run, the soldiers already breaking rank and running for their lives. "AAAHH!!" Kisaragi screamed in pain as her motion ceased. Kurama turned to see Lucy, she had grabbed Kisaragi by the hair and was pulling her towards her like the catch of the day. "NOOO!!!" Kurama shouted as he drew his sidearm and aimed at the Diclonius Queen, only for his pistol and the hand holding it to be crushed. Kurama didn't have time to scream before he was slammed into the wall with a vector around his throat. "The sweet memories. That's the same hand I broke last time, isn't it bitch. Well, I'm not letting you come after me aga-" "NO!" Lucy shouted, shocking Sunset. "No? What do you mean no!? He'll just come after us again!" Sunset shouted. Lucy held Kisaragi helplessly in front of them. "Because I keep my promises." Kurama tried to shout something, but Sunset's vector prevented the words from escaping. All he could do watch helplessly as Kisaragi's head twisted 360 degrees and popped off like a jar lid. Sunset loosened her grip and stepped back as the woman's body fell to the floor. "Sheesh! Am I missing something?" "He killed my best friend...my only friend. He promised to spare her if I surrendered quietly...and he lied." Lucy hissed venomously as she wiped Kisaragi's blood from her vector onto Kurama's jacket as he snarled at her. "So I promised to kill everyone he loves so that he knows what it feels like to be alone. And he has to live with that." Lucy emphasized to Sunset. Sunset sighed and threw her hands up. "Fine. It's not like he believes we're going where I'm leading you...but the bitch does owe me a leg." Sunset gestured at her missing leg to emphasize her point. Lucy thought about it for a moment before nodding and walking past the two of them as Sunset seized Kurama's leg with a vector. "Make sure your brat knows I'm ready this time." The sound of tearing flesh and snapping bone was drowned out by Kurama's scream of pain until Sunset Shimmer clubbed him with his own severed leg, knocking him out cold. Sunset wasn't too concerned about catching up until she heard loud thunderous bangs. She ran to the source and found Lucy slamming her vectors into a set of large metal doors. "AIM FOR THE SEAM!!" She shouted over the noise as she started trying to spear her vectors through the seam of the doors. "IF WE CAN MAKE A GAP HERE, WE CAN PULL THEM APART!!" Lucy nodded and followed Sunset's lead, forming a gap large enough for the two horned women to grab one door each with all four of their vectors. "On three." Sunset stated. "One, two, THREE!!" Metal shrieked in protest as the doors slowly began to move. Sunset grit her teeth and shut to fight the strain as her vectors were pushed to the limit. Suddenly, she realized light was hitting her eyelids from a new source, she paused for a moment to see where it was coming from. Lucy gave no notice until Sunset tapped her shoulder with a vector and pointed out the door that had opened behind them. "So...trap?" Before Lucy could respond, shots rang out behind them. About 20 or so more soldiers were coming up behind them. Maybe we shouldn't have spent so much time dealing with that bitch. Sunset thought to herself as she shielded herself from the onslaught of flying metal teeth. Then, a human pushed his way to the front of the pack with much bigger cannon than any Sunset had seen. The cannon aimed right at her and fired. She barely registered being snatched to the side as agonizing pain akin to a magical overload erupted inside her head. She heard a loud metallic clang behind her as she fell on the rocky floor outside and realized that the cannonball had punched right though her vectors and into the large metal doors behind where she had been standing. Oh buck! Where did that come from!? Sunset thought to herself as she scrambled away from the open door the undoubtedly running towards. She didn't even bother putting her foot on the ground. She just crawled on her vectors like a spider. She quickly ran past Lucy, briefly wondering if this is what the Pegasai feel when they're flying. She was torn from these thoughts when she realized she was heading straight for a cliff. Sunset halted...but Lucy didn't. Sunset could only grunt in surprise as she tackled over the edge. Time seemed to slow down...which is how Sunset saw the human with the super cannon aiming at them in time to react. Knowing she couldn't stop this cannon, she decided to angle her vectors in order to deflect the round from her and Lucy. The effort paid off. She felt the same pain as her vectors were overstrained and disappeared, but the cannonball veered away from them. Giving Sunset a brief victorious euphoria before she found herself underwater. Author's Note This one really ran away from me once I got going, but I'm gonna end it here...and start writing the next one immediately. I've got a pretty good idea where I want this story to go now, and I've a neat idea for a twist that might take a few of you by surprise. Leave your thoughts in the comments below, and I'll see you all in the next one. Chapter 5Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter 2Police Chief Takatomi took a sip of his morning coffee, letting it sit in his mouth and fight off the cold of a bitter January morning before turning his attention to the task at hand. Crossing under the yellow tape, Takatomi begrudgingly permitted the detective in charge to brief him...though the poor man's face already had. "It's...mph... it's just as you said sir...they were...the...BLAAARGH!!!" The detective lost his breakfast as the Chief pressed on towards the sheet metal shed. Blood splattered the sand outside the shed, presenting the tamest aspect to the massacre. Inside the shed, three college age boys lay in bloody pieces. Their arms cut off at the elbows, their torsos cut off at the stomach and spilling their entrails, and only one severed head left intact, the other two were pulped. Takatomi squeezed his cup of coffee. It was one of them. One of those....things! "Make sure the press doesn't get a word of this. I need to make a call." An urgent hand snatched a phone from its hook with an audible clunk. "Yes?...Where?...I see.... We'll handle this immediately." The phone was returned to its rest as the Chief Director of the Vector Research Facility came to terms with his grim reality. Another Diclonius had surfaced. Another threat to humanity that would bare the visage of a young girl, the visage of his daughter, that he would have to put down. Chief Director Kurama pulled out his personal cell and speed dialed a number as he turned and left his office. "Assemble a search party, we've got another one." "Ah, so these are called 'fingers' then." Sunset clarified to herself while wiggling the aforementioned digits. "And you're not lying to make me a fool right?" No! No, I swear it's the truth! Please!!" Cried the young woman Sunset had suspended in the air. The two of them stood surrounded by the bloody pieces of three other humans in the teenager's small home, so she knew better than to question the insane woman who kept asking her for basic information. It had been ten hours since Sunset came to this world, in that time she's hardly slept a wink for the sheer excitement of experimenting with her new powers. She's discovered that she has four magical tendrils with these 'hands' on them, and that she can use them to leap vast distances and shield herself...she was very thankful for that last one. Her second killing was another group of thugs, but this time one of them was armed with a small handheld cannon. If the first shot hadn't missed her, she wouldn't have known to protect herself. She's been more cautious with her killings since the first, though she hasn't heard anything about the bodies being discovered... maybe it's normal around here. Now, she was trying to gain information on this new world of hers, and the 'humans' she shared it with. "Now, I heard you refer to our language as 'Japanese'. Where does that come from?" "..W-well...we-we're in Japan." The girl stuttered. "Ah, is that a State, Country, or the World?" Sunset inquired. "Wuh-" The girl's question was cut short by the sound of broken glass. Sunset turned to the sound and registered an armored human leveling a cannon at her as more glass broke along with wood. Sunset flung the girl into the first human warrior and ran for the door, unsurprised to find three more leveling cannons at her...but she was too close. The three humans fell to pieces, their armor useless against Sunset's magic. However, the sheer numbers caused a tremor of concern to ripple through Sunset's being. Two more humans leveled cannons from outside the door as another group came from behind her. Thinking fast, Sunset used two of her tendrils to launch herself skyward while the other two shredded the ceiling above her. Landing on the roof reduced the number of humans attacking her, but not completely. The humans outside the home immediately opened fire on her. Sunset backpedaled, shocked at how many projectiles these military cannons could launch at her and uncertain if her tendrils could block them all, especially when the group inside started shooting up through the ceiling and only missed her by fortune. Launching herself from the roof into the backyard, Sunset only found a large group of humans waiting for her. Now that she was in free fall, all Sunset could do was put all her focus into blocking the storm of tiny cannonballs and hope she made it to the ground. Fortunately for her, her magic made that almost comically easy. The tiny cannonballs bounced off her tendrils like raindrops on an umbrella. Concern turned to vengeful excitement as Sunset landed in the middle of the group and started slaughtering them, laughing maniacally at the sheer euphoria of being powerful in a world of weaklings. But Sunset didn't let this blind her. There were still a lot of them, but she had a plan. Grabbing two blood soaked cannons in her tendrils, Sunset emptied their contents into the humans chasing her as she ran through the suburban area. When her weapons ran dry, the humans broke cover and started shooting at her again, but they had stopped coming from every single direction. They must be running out of bodies. Kurama was shocked still for a moment. Not because the Diclonius was abnormally powerful or slaughtering his strike team, he had gotten used to such carnage, but because as the Diclonius leapt from the house, he got his first real look at her. Two weeks ago, Kurama tracked down and put away the Diclonius Queen, the first of their race that the General Director had named 'Lucy', but this Diclonius appeared older than the first by at least three years. Even accounting for sipilets, this was abnormal. It needed to be reported. Sunset was grateful that she had taken a vacation to Manehattan last year. Equestria's most futuristic city is the only reason she recognized the manhole she passed on her way to the house she'd chose to sleep in. She still wasn't too pleased about hiding in the sewers like a rat, but there were too many soldiers. Did it really take them this long to find the bodies? I guess they were a little out of the way. Sunset thought to herself. Pulling open the manhole, Sunset dropped into the sewer and broke her fall with two of her tendrils to keep her feet out of the sewer while two more replaced the manhole cover before anyone saw her. The water sloshed as her tendrils carried her like long legs. She kept her real legs tucked into her body, hoping the disgusting water wouldn't stain her. Worthless apes, I'll get you for this! She considered going out the first manhole she saw, but thought better of it and carried on until she found another one. Slowly lifting the lid, Sunset Shimmer peeked out to look around and make sure there weren't any soldiers. Satisfied that there weren't, she climbed out of the sewers and took a second to think. I could make a run, but I have nowhere to go except... Sunset shook her head. She wasn't going back. Not yet, not after one day! Besides, she was better than this. She was better than them! Those... Those...BITCHES!!! Sunset recalled the word the first humans used to describe her when they thought she was inferior. They were wrong! Everypony was wrong! And she was going to prove it. "...Yes sir...I understand." Kurama gripped his cellphone like he was trying to break it. The General Director had just ordered him to take this specimen alive, and they had already lost sight of her along with a dozen men. There were only 18 SAT troops left, and they only found her because she had deigned to throw half a teenager out the window as the search party was combing the area. He had a backup plan, but he didn't want to rely on it, but they had to track her down before she killed agai-"HEY BITCHES!!!" Kurama turned just in time to duck as two manhole covers shot into the group of armed men. One of which lodged itself into the transport van and evidently threw a spark into the vehicle's oil or gasoline, resulting in an explosion. Kurama was dazed, despite the ringing in his ears, he could still hear the muffled sounds gunfire, screaming, and the tearing of flesh and bones. Then there was silence. Kurama fought to his feet and pulled a handgun, determined to go down fighting against this monster. Then he saw her. Kurama froze. He had seen Diclonii be cold and uncaring, he had seen them crazed and mentally broken, but he had never seen one so cruel as this one. It was watching him struggle! With an amused smirk no less! There was no moral debate like the incident with Lucy. This creature was pure evil! Kurama raised his gun, already aware that it was pointless. He was proven right when one of the monsters vectors shot out and crushed his pistol...along with the hand holding it. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kurama cried out in pain. And the Diclonius started laughing. "Oops. Sorry, I didn't realize you were so fragile." Kurama stifled his pain with anger. "You-grk!!" He felt an invisible hand close on his throat and lift him off his feet. "Listen up... human, my name is Sunset Shimmer! And your world is mine now! So you go tell whoever's in charge to get off my throne, and maybe, I'll let her live as my servant." Kurama barely registered the childish name and display, this Diclonius was out it's mind! But this was his only chance to get out alive. "Yes! Okay! I'll tell them!!" "Good boy." The Diclonius calling itself Sunset smirked as she dropped Kurama and mosied on back to the suburban home she had planned to stay the night in... before turning towards the second transport van. "Hmm, I think it'll help my victory sink in if you have to walk." Kurama's blood ran cold as the van was lifted into the air. "Wait! STOP!!" But it was too late, the van slammed hard into the ground once! twice! thrice! And then struck the ground a forth and final time, rendering the vehicle useless. "Ooh, was that expensive? Too bad bitch! Ah-hahahahahahahahaaa..." Sunset cackled to herself as she walked into the house. Kurama pulled himself up and ran to the destroyed van, pulling the back doors open and hoping for a miracle. Reality...is often disappointing. The young girl that the strike team had rescued had been tossed around inside the van like a ragdoll. Her body laid twisted in an unnatural shape. And all Kurama could do was promise to make this monster suffer...by any means necessary. Author's Note This chapter took some thinking, I originally intended to have Sunset captured in this chapter rather than the next one...but the paramilitary faction of Elfen Lied is notoriously bad at their job. Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen Elfen Lied: The Researchers deduced that you required tungsten steel 50 cal rounds to punch through a Diclo's vectors years before Lucy escaped in Episode 1, but they continue to favor automatic MP5s like throwing a million tennis balls is gonna do the damage of a cannon. So yeah, staying true to the lore earns Sunset one more chapter of running wild before she gets got, but when that does happen...I have a question for my viewers. You see, when I originally planned this story, I had intended for Sunset's three year vacay in the Vector Research Facility to put the fear of God in her and send her running back to Celestia after I give her a way to escape. This would lead to Luna learning of the Diclonii through Sunset's nightmares and going to free them as a juiced up Diclonius whose naturally as powerful as Lucy's Final Rage at the end of the manga. That's one way this fic could go, but as I started writing the first chapter, I wondered...what if Sunset didn't break? What if she doubled down on trying to conquer the world after escaping, and went back to Equestria to steal Twilight's Tiara like she did in Equestria Girls, thus prompting Celestia to Twilight and Spike into this shit show alone like in EG!? I'm fine either way, and might even write the other way months/years later. So for now, I'm putting it to a vote. Leave a comment which way you would rather I took this story. Until then, I'll see you all in the next one. Peace!
Chapter 1A cold anger gripped the young Unicorn's heart.
Chapter 2Police Chief Takatomi took a sip of his morning coffee, letting it sit in his mouth and fight off the cold of a bitter January morning before turning his attention to the task at hand. Peace!
