Equestria Ninja Girls: Spooky Showdown
It was Halloween season, and the boy band, Fun Time Rush, was walking towards the Canterlot Mall.
“Woo! The Halloween party is going to be sweet when Halloween comes by!” Diamond Glow cheered.
Mind Tempo noted, “And let’s not forget that the party starts in two days.”
“We gotta buy some food, costumes, supplies, and decorations for the party,” Cloudburst noted.
“Right! So let's take care of this before…”
“Before what?” A familiar, cheery, pink girl voice called, interrupting Beryl Fury.
The boy band encountered their rivals, the Turtles and Rainbooms, and Karai.
Beryl nonchalantly said, “Oh, you.”
“Yep, us!” Pinkie cheered.
“What are you guys doing here?” Beryl asked them.
Leo answered, “We're helping the Rainbooms buy decorations, games, and food for the Halloween party.”
Beryl told them, “Hey now, that's our gig. We're the ones handling this.”
"Yeah, right," Spike scoffed.
Pinkie spoke up, “Really? 'Cause I checked your papers and saw that our band and your band are going to be performing at the Halloween party at the same place where the Canterlot Music Festival was held.”
Beryl said, “Well, duh, we know that. Why don't you and the rest of your ninja pals go do some patrolling in New York.”
“Uh, don't we get a say on this, bud?” Diamond asked.
Beryl answered, “Not now, Diamond.”
Leo replied, “The Mutanimals are doing the patrolling, and Rarity's done sewing up the costumes for us before Halloween gets underway.”
Karai asked the boy band, “Will you boys just chill out? We're all doing the same thing. Setting up the Halloween party.”
"Well, well, well, what do we have here…" An evil voice said from the shadows on the rooftop of a building, watching the Rainbooms and Turtles arguing with Fun Time Rush.
"Yeah, well, we don't want to be around you, Turtles and Rainbooms," Beryl said.
"Hey. We didn't agree to that," Cloudburst said until Beryl covered his mouth.
"It's fine, Cloudburst."
Raph scoffed, "Whatever. Just let us pass, and we'll leave you boys alone."
Suddenly, they were hit by some sort of spell, and the teens were transformed into monsters.
"Fine by me," Beryl said with his eyes closed until he opened them and saw the Turtles and Rainbooms transformed into monsters. "Whoa, I can't believe you changed your costumes that quickly. Plus, it's not Halloween yet."
"Yeah, right. You should look at yourself too," Mikey pointed until he saw his arm being hairy. "What the? Why am I so hairy?!" Mikey looked at himself.
"Why am I covered in toilet paper?" Rarity said until she sniffed herself. "Ewww! Why do I stink?"
“Wait…” Beryl said, and everyone looked at the windows of the mall doors and realised what they turned into. Beryl Fury, Applejack, and Mikey became werewolves; Donnie and Cloudburst became Frankenstein’s monster; Raph, Diamond Glow, and Fluttershy became vampires; Rarity and Leo became mummies; Mind Tempo became a zombie; Karai in her mutant snake form; Rainbow Dash became a ghost; Pinkie Pie became Frankenstein’s bride; Twilight became a wicked witch; Spike in his mutant form, Wolfinizer; and Sunset became a winged-demon from her past.
“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” The teens screamed.
Vampire Raph and Wolfinizer yelled, “NOT AGAIN!”
Werewolf Applejack commented, "This is messed up."
The Turtles and Fun Time Rush were trying to defuse the situation.
"Girls, calm down," Vampire Diamond told them.
"How can we calm down? We've been turned into monsters!" Mummy Rarity cried.
"I can't even transssform back to my human form," Mutant Karai said.
“Why are we turned into monsters? How did this happen?” Franken Cloudburst wondered.
“I don't know,” Werewolf Beryl said until a woman saw them and screamed in fright, and every citizen ran away.
“Well, that's not good,” Zombie Tempo feared.
Sunset, now in her demon form, told everyone, “Let's get outta here before anyone else sees us.”
“Right,” Everyone agreed and ran out of the street to hide from the public.
The teens ran to the alleyway as the foot of Zombie Tempo was detached and he fell down. He growled, “GAAAAHHHH! Seriously?!”
Werewolf Applejack noticed Zombie Tempo and ran back to get him. While Zombie Tempo grabbed his detached foot, Werewolf Applejack grabbed him. “Whoa!” He shouted. She carried him and resumed running back to her friends.
Twilight the Witch informed Leo, "Contact Casey and April ASAP. We gotta tell them about our situation."
Minutes later, everyone was in the Turtle Lair to hide and discuss.
“How did this happen?” April asked them.
"I don't know," Diamond Glow answered and tried to look at himself in the mirror, but there was no reflection. “Which, by the way, I still think I look handsome in this getup?” Raph then slapped him on the backside of his head. “Ow!”
“Gee, you think?” Raph said.
“Guys, focus!” Demon Sunset said. “We need to figure out how to turn back to normal. Any suggestions?”
Werewolf Beryl raised his hand, “Ooh, I have an idea. How about we find this machine.” He showed them a Halloween comic made by their good friend, Amethyst Majesty, and showed them a machine that was used to transform monsters into normal people.
"I am not sure if that is going to work," Casey commented.
“Are you sure?” Twilight the Witch questioned. “It could take weeks to build that or even find one.”
Then a familiar voice rang out, “I’ve seen it before.”
Everyone turned around to see Shinigami appearing from the shadows.
Werewolf Mikey smiled, “What up, Shini.”
“Hey guys.”
"Wait. Did you say you have seen this kind of machine before?" Zombie Tempo questioned her.
Shini explained, "Yes."
Demon Sunset asked, "Where?"
"The answer to your question lies within this stone I found," Shini held a case with a spooky stone inside.
April used her psychic powers to lift the stone so they wouldn't touch it. Shinigami took a closer look and noticed the patterns on the stone.
"These symbols, I recognise them. I've seen these in a book before. Guys, I know where we need to go for answers.”
Twilight the Witch questioned, "Where?"
"In an old town where I honed my craft. A place I never thought I would go back to again. New Salem," said Shini.
"New Salem?" Franken Donnie said.
"Yes. You heard me. New Salem. Located in Oregon."
"Interesting. But who would turn us into monsters? I can't be seen looking like a monster and scaring innocent people away. Although I still look handsome, by the way," Vampire Diamond stated.
Shini rolled her eyes, "Whatever. Anyways, the culprit who turned you all into monsters... was Kitsune."
The Turtles and Rainbooms gasped except for Fun Time Rush.
Beryl wondered, "Ki-su-ne? What does that mean?"
Zombie Tempo answered, "It's pronounced ki-tsu-ne. It means fox in Japanese."
"That is correct," Shini noted.
"But why would that mean fox do this to us and how did that small fox gain powers?" Franken Cloudburst said.
"Kitsune is no ordinary fox. Kitsune is an evil witch. She uses magic not superpowers," Shini explained. "I fought her before alongside my friends while you boys were busy with your music career. My guess is that Kitsune wants revenge against me and my friends."
"True to that," Werewolf Beryl noted.
“But she's supposed to be dead,” Demon Sunset pointed out.
"Yeah, you destroyed her back in San Francisco, remember?" Werewolf Mikey reminded.
"I thought so too," Shini said. "But earlier today, she returned. I fought her alone and dropped her stone, but... she didn't come alone. She's working with someone."
Mummy Leo asked Shini, "Do you know who it is?"
"No. I can only say that Kitsune's accomplice is a ghost with powers I am unfamiliar with."
Demon Sunset understood, "Interesting. Alright, everyone, let's head to..."
Werewolf Beryl abruptly interrupted Sunset, "Yeah, yeah, we know the drill: Go to New Salem, defeat the bad guys, and turn back to normal before the Halloween party. Easy peasy."
"It's not that easy, idiot!" Ghost Rainbow angrily exclaimed.
Sunset growled until Leo put his hand on her shoulder. "As much as we want to shut this guy up, he's right. There's no time to waste. We have to go to New Salem and find some answers. Donnie, set coordinates for New Salem."
"Great. Now that it's all settled, let's go," Shini signaled.
Leo nodded and Donnie used the Portal Projector to activate the portal to New Salem. Everyone entered the portal, and their adventure to New Salem has begun.
Meanwhile, the evil witch, Kitsune, arrived in a mansion in an undisclosed location with her ghostly accomplice in the shadows.
"Thanks for your help back there."
"My pleasure. Now that I helped you, it's time for you to help me defeat my enemy."
Kitsune asked, "And who would that be, Vlad Plasmius?"
The mysterious accomplice was transformed, and out of the shadows, he became a human wearing a black suit, a red handkerchief, and a matching red bolo tie. He also had grey hair with a white streak at the center.
"Danny Phantom."
