The Other Six

Derpy Hooves was on her usual mail route. She was almost done for the day. All she had to do was drop off a new library book off at Twilight's library. She thought about getting about getting a book while she was there. Derpy remembered Rainbow Dash telling her about a book she read. What was it again? "Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone" that was it! She liked the name.

             "Here you go Twilight!" Derpy said with a smile. "Thank you Derpy. I've been waiting for this one". "What is it?" she asked. "It's a new spell book. I told my friends that I need help with a spell. They should be here soon". Derpy then remembered why else she came here. "Say Twi? Do you have a copy of Daring Do? I was wondering if I could check out a copy". "Sure! The first one is on the shelf to your left with the rest of the series". Derpy thanked her and walked to the shelf. Scanning the titles, she finally found the one she was looking for.

                 "Oh hey Derpy".  Derpy turned her head. She saw Rainbow Dash at the doorway. Along with Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie. "Hey Rainbow, hi guys". They waved to her as they walked in. "I'm glad you're all here," Twilight started, "I need your help with"... Derpy didn't hear much after that. Her nose was buried in the book. She heard the hum of a unicorn horn come to life with magic. Derpy started to head out the door. But she wasn't looking where she was going. She bonked into a wall, knocking down a ton of books. One fell on Twilight's head. She winced and her eyes glowed bright white. The magic did not stop. All of a sudden, there was a bright flash of energy. When the room cleared, Derpy found that the six ponies were gone. "Oh no".

                    Derpy ran out of the library. She had no idea what had just happened. But she did know somepony who could help. At Doctor Whooves' house, he was fixing up some huge hourglass that looked like his cutie mark. "DOCTOR WHOOVES!!" Derpy burst into his house, startling him. "Gah! Derpy, you shouldn't barge in here like that. You scared me". "Doc this is important". She told him the whole story. When she was finished, The Doctor spoke up. "Himm. I might not be able to help you. But maybe another unicorn can". They walked together into town square. There they met Lyra Heartstrings, (another unicorn), and her friend Bon-Bon. "Lyra we need your help. Derpy tell them". So she explained the whole story to the two the ponies. Lyra put her hoof to her chin, "Well I have been studying some of that kind of magic. But I would still need another unicorn's help". "Don't worry," said Derpy, "I know a unicorn who can help us".

                            The gang soon arrived at a big house near Twilight's library. Bon-Bon had tagged along because she claimed that she had nothing better to do. "Remind me again WHO lives here?" asked The Doctor. "Oh you'll see." reassured Derpy. They knocked on the door and heard a voice telling them to come in. When they entered they saw a whole bunch of musical equipment. "Hey i've seen you before. You're Derpy right"? "Yeah that's me. DJ Pon-3 right"? DJ Pon-3 was a unicorn with a real knack for music. She had cyan blue hair and cool purple sunglasses. "The one and only. But you can call me Vinyl Scratch. So what brings you to my crib?" the white unicorn asked. After another explanation Derpy asked, "So, can you help"? "Sure, it's been a little dull around anyway". "Can I come"? Everypony turned their head to behind the DJ. There stood Octavia, Vinyl's roommate. "Really Octy? You don't seem like the adventure type." pointed out Vinyl. "I know but it HAS been boring around here and I could use the excitement". "Alright everypony, lets go!" called Derpy.

                    At the library, Doctor Whooves was studying the spot where the six ponies disappeared. Lyra and Vinyl were reading the spell book. "Alright. I think I got it," said Lyra, "Everypony get into position".  All the ponies took their place. Except for Derpy. She was going to recreate the accident and have a book fall on Lyra's head. "Ready?" asked Lyra. "Ready!" replied Derpy. Lyra started the spell with complete concentration. Derpy then ran up, and slammed into the book shelf. A book fell on Lyra's head and the same thing with Twilight happened. This time, Derpy jumped in with the rest of the group. There was a bright flash, and then they were gone.

                    When The Doctor revived, he scanned the area. It was a castle of some sort. Very large, not as big as Princess Celestia's, but still huge. Derpy woke up next. "Whoa. Where are we?" she asked, woozy. "I believe it's some sort of castle". "HALT INTRUDERS"!! A voice rang out. Suddenly they were surrounded by ponies wielding spears. "More intruders?"  a voice called out, "Seize them"! Just then Lyra woke up. Thinking fast, she used her magic to teleport them out of there. They reappeared in a forest outside the castle. "Whoa, what just happened?" asked Vinyl. "I think I know what happened." said Octavia, "Maybe when Twilight teleported her friends and herself here, they got mistaken for intruders". "Yes," Doctor Whooves added, "Then the queen must have thrown them into the dungeon". "Well then what are we waiting for?" said Bon-Bon, "Let's go"!

                  Back at the castle, the queen asked for the report. "Your Highness," a guard started, "We were unable to capture the intruders. A unicorn teleported them out". "Another unicorn?!" she asked, "RRGGHH! Don't they know I"M the only unicorn around here. Find them"!

                   Meanwhile, in the forest, Derpy approached Lyra and Vinyl. "Hey guys. Can I ask you guys something"? "Sure." the replied in unison. "Well, it's about Doctor Whooves. I.....I think I might..like him. Like, LIKE like him". The two unicorns looked at each other. "What makes you say that"? "Well, when the incident happened, he was the first pony I went to. I felt scared and he made me feel better". Vinyl smiled. "Ohhhh. I see. Why do you LOOOVE him"? "Oh be quiet Vinyl!" Lyra snapped. "Well," Derpy wondered, "I think it's because when i'm with him, he makes me feel safe. I forget my worries when I see him". "Uh excuse me," said Bon-Bon, "But we're here".

                      Just then a huge roar cried out. A huge dragon the emerged from the castle. "Look out"! Doctor Whooves pushed Derpy out of the way just before she got a face full of fire. "Gee, thanks Doc." Derpy blushed as Vinyl nudged Lyra. "Um guys? THE DRAGON!!" cried Octavia. The dragon roared as he spewed a second round of fire. Lyra and Vinyl tried to take it down with their magic. But he swatted them away. "Wait! I have an idea!" yelled the DJ. She walked up the the dragon. "Hey ugly!" she yelled, "Get some of my BASS CANON"!! She pulled out a huge, bazooka like, object and fired it at the monster. It was a direct hit! But it did nothing! "Wait Derpy! Fly me up to the dragon's ear. I want to try something." said Octavia. Derpy picked her up and flew her to the dragon's head, while the rest distracted him. When Octavia was on his head, she pulled out a violin and began to play a soothing tune. The monster stopped abruptly. His eyes began to droop and started to lay down on the grass. Within minutes, he was fast asleep. "Wow nice job Octy. Didn't know somethings actually LIKED that kind of music". "Yeah smart thinking." added Bon-Bon.

                        They entered the castle by Derpy flying them over the walls. "Well well well. It looks like you got past my dragon." said the queen "YOU sent that after us?!" yelled The Doctor. "Yes, Blaze can be quite playful". "Who are you anyway?" asked Derpy. The queen stood up. She was really tall with the longest horn any of them have ever seen. She had light green eyes that saw into your soul. She was all black with a pure white mane and tail. Her ear seemed to be on fire, and when she removed her cape, her cutie mark was a wand and moon. "I am Uniscorn!" she called out.

                  Uniscorn lunged at them. Zapping them with her magic. The ponies scattered in different directions. "Quick, you distract her. I'll find the others." said Doctor Whooves. "You got it!" said Vinyl. Both Lyra and Vinyl attacked with their magic. But Uniscorn was too powerful. The three of them all locked horns. While they did that, Derpy and Bon-Bon attacked from behind. They found a canon and fired it right at Uniscorn. The canon ball slammed into her and she hit the wall. "You DARE?!" she yelled.

                Meanwhile, Doctor Whooves was examining the dungeon area. "They should be here somewhere." he thought to himself. "Doctor Whooves"? He heard a voice call out. He turned his head and saw them. Twilight,Rarity,Rainbow,Fluttershy,Applejack,and Pinkie were in a cell. "Oh thank Celestia I found you guys"! "YAY! We're saved!" cheered Pinkie. "Halt"! The Doctor turned around and saw three guards standing in front of him. "Oh it can never be easy." sighed The Doctor.

                        Octavia and Vinyl hit the wall. Uniscorn's magic was too much for them all to handle. "Admit it my little ponies, you've lost"! "Not if we have anything to say about it"! Uniscorn turned around and saw her prisoners. FREE! "What?! But how did you defeat my guards"? "Ah just showed 'em how we do it back on the farm!" said Applejack. "Rarity, Lyra, Vinyl! Help me show her how REAL magic is performed!" demanded Twilight. "You got it!" agreed Vinyl. "HA! You can't defeat me! I am the ultimate unicorn"! "Oh put a sock in it!" called Derpy. The four unicorns used their magic to zap Uniscorn and make her disappear! "Where did she go?" asked Fluttershy. "She was sent in front of Celestia. To be punished for imprisoning us.

                      Later, the whole gang was having a 'welcome back' party for the ponies in Twilight's library. Twilight clanked her teaspoon against her cup. ""May I have everypony's attention? I would like to thank Derpy,Doctor Whooves,Lyra,Vinyl,Octavia,and Bon-Bon for saving us. If it wasn't for them, we would have been trapped with Uniscorn forever". The six ponies applauded. In the middle of the party, Vinyl and Lyra nudged Derpy to Doctor Whooves. "Oh hello Derpy." he said with a smile. "Um Doctor?" Derpy blushed, "Would you like to dance with me"? Doctor Whooves looked into her eyes. "I would love that." he said. When they danced, Derpy felt as if they were the only ponies there.
