Getting It Off Their Chests
Rarity had been very busy that morning, getting Sweetie Belle ready for school and filling orders, business was better than ever and it finally felt peaceful and safe in Equestria, especially after everything they had been through like the changelings and Tirek.
She seen Sweetie off to school before going inside to work on more orders. Trying to just keep the momentum going for her customers, it was alot of work but it kept her busy which she kind of needed not having been able to relax until she got work done.
That was when she had heard a knock on the door, funny...she hadn't expected any visitors that morning. She didn't have her usual picnic with pinkie planned and she also didn't have anything else scheduled either. No dress demonstrations, nothing. She didn't forget about her friends no no no but she wasn't expecting them to show up since they were all busy that day.
"Let's go check this out...." She stood up and walked over to her front door opening it with her magic, she saw Twilight, but she was not like her usual self...she could tell something was off, but didn't know what it was that was off exactly.
"Twilight? Weren't you meeting with Luna today sweetie? I mean...don't get me wrong I'm glad you visited darling but I'm a little bit busy and wasn't expecting your company. Although you know I can always make time for you...: She said softly watching how Twilight reacted, Twilight nodded and responded
"Um...can...I come in? Please? There's something I really would like to get off my chest, and your the pony I thought of telling, if that's okay?" She spoke spoke looking back up at Rarity. Rarity allowed her to enter and welcomed her inside
"Of coarse it's fine Twilight, I want you to communicate with me and tell me stuff, it's very important to me as a friend...I wasnt gonna, slam the door in your face, what friend would that make me? She softly smiled letting her come in, Twilight took a deep breath and walked along inside admiring her home but yet nervous as to what she was going to say, Rarity was the only pony she could think of telling this to, and she needed it off her chest.
Twilight stood in the middle of the room...she didn't sit down...she didn't dare to, she was nervous enough and plus she had no idea how Rarity was going to take this. She didnt...talk to anyone about this...neither tell all of their friends? She had no idea she'd be telling Rarity of all ponies. But she also couldn't avoid the subject.
"Twilight what is it?" Rarity spoke softly observing her...a bit worried for her friend, she didn't know if she had been hurt or got upset by something or what, if Twilight could tell her then she could help, however she also didn't have to say anything if she didn't feel like it, Rarity wasn't trying to push her, she just wanted to help her.
"Rarity uh...I don't know how to exactly say this, this hasn't ever happened before so...and plus I just can't seen to put it in words, everytime on my way over here I've screwed up the convo each time in my head. This isn't an easy thing for me, I know I've always been a bit nerdy about subjects but this has truly...upset me...really bad..." She whispered looking out the window on the verge of tears...she couldn't cry in front of Rarity, she couldn't, she had to be strong for her friend group, for Rarity, For her parents
Rarity wanted to help her so badly, she had a feeling that something was wrong, that something wasn't right and she wanted to help Twilight fix that issue but Twilight needed to tell he first if she needed her help.
"Twilight please tell me and I can make it better. We can fix this and it's all gonna be okay just please...just tell me Twilight. You can tell me anything, please stop hesitating. You can trust me with anything, I won't tell a living soul if you don't want me to I promise, if you dont want to say it then dont. Tell me you dont and we wont have to talk about it..." She insisted just trying to help Twilight whatever was on her mind. If Twilight of coarse, decided not to tell her she didn't have to, she wasn't forcing her but she knew Twilight did want to talk about it.
"I have Cancer...that's why I came over today to tell you my doctor's results...I almost didn't want to tell you, but...at your door I decided that this was the only way I could tell you, face to face, a letter simply wouldn't suffice and even if I tried writing a letter, it wouldn't have felt right to tell you on a simple parchment. Pinkie Pie is the only other one who knows. And no. I'm not saying I'm going to die. I'm getting treatment and plus the cancer isn't at a deadly level yet. Their gonna try cell therapy on me. To try and rid it...now you know..." she whispered looking down
Rarity could feel herself Almost buckle to the news...no...she wasn't going to allow this to happen to Twilight...she felt angry and upset wanting to scream her pain away and do anything she could to take this ailment from Twilight.
Life just didn't feel fair. The princess had cancer and she felt so helpless. She wanted to try and try and try to help Twily bur everything she could think of made her feel so helpless. She almost felt she would shut down she shook her head. She took a few deep breaths trying to regain her composure. She was NOT gonna breakdown. No way in hell was that gonna happen. She was gonna be strong for Twilight and support her in her treatments. It was the right thing and only thing to do at that moment
"Twilight...I feel I want to scream with you because I know you want to scream out your pain...Im so fucking sorry. This isn't fucking fair to you. I want to scream curse and shout my pain away. I want to help you fight this thing I'm not gonna let you fucking die. Because if you die my soul fucking dies, I'd have no reason to fucking live. I have my family and friends yes...but if you died...I want to scream...and I feel like you want to scream to... *she whispered, she shook her head and hugged Twilight tightly*
Twilight hugged her sobbing in her shoulder, her whole body shaking with despair as she could feel Raritys shake as well, she wanted to scream to, she wanted to scream with Rarity, wanted to scream to the sky with her.
Then To Twilights surprise Rarity gently stepped back from Twilight and dropped her modest and elegant look about her...she couldn't keep it in the face of Twilights Cancer and screamed the loudest and pained scream Twilight had ever heard
Rarity wanted to scream as loud as she could, Wanting to scream her pain away. This was devastating to her, she wasn't going to live if Twilight died...she just couldn't. She can't live if her friends aren't going to live
Twilight sobbed with her and they embraced eachother shrieking as they held eachother, their screams could be heard. Twilight, yes was going to most possibly beat the cancer but at the same time it pissed Rarity off that she had cancer. Twilight didn't fucking deserve this at all.
She began to scream loudly with Twilight allowing Twilight to tap into her pain in order to get it all out, She must of been bottling it up since she got the news, Rarity was with her all the way to beat this thing screaming out her pure raw pain with Twilight, true she usually didn't scream...but this was her best friend, she couldn't help it and after everything they have been through together she didn't want Twilight to die at all.
Rarity was not going to allow Twilight to die. She loved her so much. Her friends loved her. She wasn't going to fucking allow this bullshit to happen to poor sweet Twily. She screamed a bit more with Twilight getting it out of her system screaming louder and louder. Rarity wanted to fucking die and yet...she had to remain strong for Twilight and her friends...she had to be there for twilights friends, she didn't want to make things worse. She wasn't going to accept a fate without Twilight. With all the monsters they had beaten over the years. This was the hardest one they will probably face. Cancer was unlike any other. Sometimes it could be relentless...it terrified Rarity.
Finally they both quieted their screams having screamed themselves raw. Twilight hugged her and rubbed her back shuddering with her...she was so scared and she knew Rarity was scared to. Rarity caring so much about her comforted and touched her. She knew Rarity was her friend but it shocked her with those screams. They kept continuing to try and comfort eachother
"Twilight...im not gonna let you die, after evedy thing we've been through you just can't die, me and your friends would suffer horrendously. I know that if I lost you, I don't know if I could continue I'm not even sure our friends would be able to continue, your our best friend, your death would be devastating, you have to live Twilight, please." she sobbed her chest heaving as she fully broke down. Twilight hugged her again...she was going to fight this no matter what...she had to...she wasn't going to allow this to be turned into a tragedy and she knew Rarity would work to get Twilights ass in gear for treatments and taking care of herself
"I-im going fight this Rarity...I will. You can count on that, I will not let this thing win and don't think I was thinking of doing that, I'm gonna beat this disease and continue living my life and being with my friends. It can't end up any other way, I wasnt expecting...to break down here today but...I was able to get my feelings off my chest...thank you Rarity." She whispered shaking her head. Rarity looks away for a second as she spoke.
"I...also have something to say to be honest....it might not be believable but..." She gave a sad smile, Twilights predicament will always be on her mind now. She'll be working and her thoughts will drift to Twilights condition, she wasn't going to work while Twilight was sick. Fuck that.
"Rarity...tell me...its okay. I told you something, you tell me." She encouraged sadly, she realized Rarity has something important to say, watching Rarity wipe her tears off her face, she smiled looking down before sighing and looking up at Twilight. Twilight took a bit to tell her looking away She was somewhat hesitant but at the same time wanted to sympathize with Rarity as she was struggling with something really bad to...maybe not as Deadly but it was bad
"I have post traumatic stress disorder, I know, I know it's not comparable, but I just wanted to sympathize in a way, to help." As Rarity said this...she didn't give away why she had PTSD at first taking a deep breath having a dark secret she really didn't reveal but...Twilight telling her about her cancer...mader her want to come clean
"If you die Twilight I want to be honest with you before you do..." She whispered as Twilight listened to everything she said. She was touched Rarity was opening up to her. That's what she wanted. It also wasn't selfish of Rarity to do. Twilight revealing she had cancer opened up a box of left unsaids that needed to be said
"Rarity please tell...it won't be selfish at all despite me telling you....my major problem first...its probably as hard as my ptsd I totally understand...when you're ready to tell me you can." Twilight whispered...even if she had cancer she wanted Rarity to open up. This was really cathartic to release everything
"Im a sexual assault victim. Which is why I have PTSD, i sometimes it gets really bad in the morning, i know it's a different pain Twilight but we both have major things that have unfortunately happened to us which are bad, I need to get this off my chest becuase you aren't alone in feeling a certain pain, and the pony was dealt with but..." she began to tear up
Twilight hugged her tightly, today they had both things they had needed to reveal, both were equally devastating and she could see why Rarity had revealed it, she wanted to tell her things weren't so good either and she understood totally just giving her a tight hug of understanding. Twilight was absolutely shocked with what Rarity had revealed which she guessed as just as how much Rarity must of been shocked when she revealed she had cancer. Today really was an emotional day, she had to beat the cancer now more than ever
"Rarity, it was brave of you to reveal that to me...I get your pain, I was never raped, but I understand we both just have really bad stuff going on right now...let's be there for eachother okay? We don't have to deal with this stuff alone, now that we both know what we're dealing with we can help eachother okay? How's that?" Twilight whispered comforting lying to Rarity, Rarity sniffles and nodded fast as they both let tears stream down eachothers faces hugging, staying still for the longest time
Rarity shook her head wiping away her tears and helped dab away Twilights...both of what they were dealing with were terrible...but they had eachother. Rarity would be dammed if she didn't help.her friend. She was going to help Twilight fight kick and scream against her cancer. Twilight knew that she had to beat her cancer to be there for her best friend.
"I swear Rarity I swear I will beat this cancer in order to be with you as you go through the aftermath of your assault...Im going to fight this till the end until its gone Rarity. Because you deserve your friends support as much as I do...." She whispered
"Well be there for eachother agreed Twilight, we will." Rarity agreed as she continued to hug Twilight, taking a sigh.
And they would always be there for eachother.
