ok, my idea is
Twilight and Rainbow dash have been together in a relationship for some time but recently both of them fell like they are not good enough for the other and each tell one of their friends about it to see if they can help (Twilight tells AJ and RD tells Rarity )
AJ thinks RD may like more athletic partner so she helps Twilight work out by doing farm work
Rarity thinks Twilight may like more elegant partner since she became a princess , so she helps RD by teaching her how to be more elegant and glamorous
Twilight and RD both decide to give it a try and they each make up a lie so they don't see each other for a month , after 1 month has passed they meet up , Twilight is a lot more muscular and RD was given a makeover from Rarity to look like a elegant princess ( RD didn't want to but Rarity levitated her and did it anyway )
At the end they see each other , get shocked and confused , they then said why they did it and just burst out laughing on how stupid they were , they love each other just the way they are , gave each other a passionate kiss . On the next day they both feel a lot more confident in themselves and about their relationship
