Session 3: The Really Small Shop of Horrors

Previous Chapter

The vines were really strong, they dragged the barbarian and the dwarf as they were nothing all the way down to the basement of the shop, the group followed them quickly and then saw both girls being trapped to the wall being slowly being covered by the vines, unnable to move. Suddenly they all heard steps comming closer, the owner of the sop appeared; a busty woman with no clothes and what it looked like a green skin tone, a wide smile and broken glasses looked at the intruders of the shop.

"Sorry... the shop's closed" The grinn on the shop's owner became wider and gloomier. "Please, you all shall leave... now or else!"

"Heh, like we're going to leave now without them and leave you here" Shimmerscale grabbed her daggers, ready for combat.

Fight Order: Shop Owner (19) -> Pinkamarie (12 +0) -> Shimmerscale (10 +0) -> Rarierety (7 +1) -> Faun (5)

The owner took the words of the rogue like a menace [Owner Roll: 5] from one of the nipples, a vine blasts out of it, hitting the wall behind them, failing completely but breaking a pot behind them. "Oh, i failed... this host needs glasses to aim apparently" the vine retreated all the way back into the nipple, there was no sign of any humanity at all on her.

Pinkamarie attempted to use her music to burn the vines that were connected to the ones trapping Dash and Jack [Attack Roll: 5] but she doesn't have her instrument completely well tuned, the performance at the toll caused it to be out of tone, so she retreats to repair the strings.

Shimmerscale prepared to run closer and sting that creature with her dagger [Attack Roll: 2] but not only she can't reach her, she steps wrong on top of a vine, slipping completely and falling with her face getting dirty with a random pile of mud that was there, at least she had a vine at her reach but too dense to her daggers to pierce through them.

Rarierety saw how the group was failing; preffered to distract the creature. She charged a fireball [Attack Roll: 6] failing to cast it, evaporating thanks to the moist of the room; misscalculated how strong the fireball should be.

Finally the faun, still with nausea and with not enough strength for direct combat; she concetrates to cast a lightball toawrds the owner [Disadvantage Attack Roll: 14 vs 17] the ball moves at a very slow peacing, one it enters in contact with the owner, hurting her [Damage Roll: 2] just a little bit causing her smile to turn groomier than before, they all notice that she has not blinked a single time since they got into the basement.

"You... little... fuckers...." The owner got angrier, but it was the owner at this point? A bulge grew on the throat and then opened the mouth [Owner Roll: 18] a vine came out of her mouth and hit Shimmerscale like a whip, it hit her in the back [Damage Roll: 8] causing her to bleed a little bit and shout a little scream of pain, the eyes widen more at the sound of screams. "YES! SCREAM, MERE HUMAN!" Shouted loudly. "You will all serve to breed Vine Queen's new wood"

[Attack Roll: 13] A musical shockwave hits, [Damage Roll: 5]it makes her to close her eyes. "I don't know who that Vine Queen is; but we're fine as we are thank you" And as finishing epic touch she played a bit the strings for the annoyance of the ex-human creature.

Shimmerscale was really angry; she only liked other kind of whips; she standed up cleching her teeth. [Attack Roll: 18] in a blink, the rogue appeared on the back of the creature and stabbed it [Damage Roll: 1] but the skin felt like stabbing a log; hard to pierce through with a simple dagger; to not be the focus of the next attack, Shimmerscale decided to retreat back aside her partners. "You could just let them go, and we will leave"

"Leave? That option is not available after what you've done" A giggle escaped the creature, showing how the creature's vines were going inside of them, part of their clothes ripped and their mouths covered so they don't scream. "They will be great additions to the army"

Another focus from the elf with her eyes closed. [Attack Roll: 10] barely missing, a magical blast hits the creature's head [Damage Roll: 1] making her back snap and turn back to its original size; the moist of the room was still too much for a bigger fireball to hit more intensely. "Despite your appealing look with those curves, we're not interested, darling. We'll say this just once more... Let them go!"

The faun then spotted something about the creature [Disadvantage Nature Roll: 14 vs 7 +4] one of the vines actually connected her to the ground, giving her nutrients and keeping her strong. [Disadvantage Attack Roll: 2 vs 3] The faun tried to attack but the mere attempt to cast a spell made her feel more sick, actually throwing up again and fear taking control on her as that creature was strong, but wouldn't let the others without knowing it's weak spot. "A vine... in the ground... attack the vine... that gives her nutrients" She claimed to all.

[Creature's Perception Roll: 14] She heard the words; the creature grew a few more vines from her back with the intentions of a flurry of attacks [Creature attack roll: 13] there was too many vines to attack everyone, but two of them were right to hit the rogue and the elf, [Creature Damage Roll: 9] the elf resisted the damage but the rogue eyes were widen as the pain of that hit almost made her faint as it was a direct hit, now in her belly. "Really you think you can take me down? You are no match for the Vine Queen's power!"

Pinkamarie preffered to not rink it with an attack, Shimmerscale was too hurt; but preffered to make a distraction. "Does you queen actually like at least candy?" [Persuasion Roll: 12 +0] The creature looked at the bard and licked her lips, at that point, probably the term 'candy' may reffer for her to non converted humans to be part of the army.

Shimmerscale was tired of eveyrthing; barely could stand in her feet [Attack Roll: 19] but it was enough for her; she dashed again even faster than before, reaching to cut the vine that conected that creature to the ground... the grinn disappeared from her face; she was in trouble now, big trouble but couldn't move just her eyes and facial expressions; the vines trapping both Jack and Dash were weaker... it was their chance.

The wizard arched a smile, a natural sassy one, [Attack Roll: 19] a big fireball advanced towards the creature [Hit dice: 5] that upon impact pushed her against the wall; the vines trapping their companions finally broke making them fall to the ground, their slits dripped the white juices that they were being filled with, the creature had no grinn, couldn't move; once she got no nutrients it's power became meaningless.

"How... is not possible..." It spoke, it only had strength to speak words. "You... shouldn't be able to beat us..."

"Well guess what; we're going to find your queen and finish her" The barbarian hold her axe fimly with both hands. "May i finish her?" Jack asked to everyone, they all agreed; as she raised her axe up, the creature's face showed pure fear as she were sure that it was impossible to be defetated. The axe went down and cut her in half; no human left, inside were ust roots and flower parts, a trully scary view of what someone can become if they get fully infested by the Assaulting Ravengers.

The rogue hold the faun by the clothes and pulled her closer. "Did you knew this could happen?" She asked furious and full of wounds, her anger was justified but not enough to scream that loudly.

"No! The Assaulting Ravenger just plants seeds inside it's host; doesn't posses the body!" The faun screamed while still being paranoid, the feeling of the iron cuffs is breaking her slowly.

"Will you calm down? She saved us. She found the weak spot" Dash tried to calm the ambiance and looked at the faun. "I'm thankfull to you little one, we haven't asked you your name. Would you mind teling us?"

She retreated her heair behind her ear. "Shyfoot... Flutters Shyfoot" She spoke in a very light voice but also with a smile, it was long since the last time some was nice to her. "Wait... we killed her?! How are we going to find now a clue of where to find our guilty?"

Rarierety [Perception Roll: 14 +3] spotted a map on the wall, with a route to another city that was about a week of travel on foot with a note writen that said 'Best Plant Mosnter Fuck Ever!' she did showed it to everyone. "I think i know where to start, probably here we can guess something of that Vine Queen"

The group found also some herbs that cn help with their health and possible threats they can find in their way; but they all could think more on the horrific feeling of your insides being tranformed into roots and plant parts; all your organs transforming... it broke the owner of the shop very badly to the point of being a mindless, grinning and serving creature; if that queen is really capable of doing that, if it had more power... who knows how long would it take for everyone to be like that poor shop owner.
