The Crystalling (Alternate Version)
A Newborn Ailcorn and Danger
I bet you wanna catch up on what has happened. Okay I can tell you that. Ok well it all started when Shining Armor and Princess Celestia were dating. They were really loving each other's company and after a few years or soon they got married. But there was a Changeling invasion before that can happen. After they beaten up the Changelings then the wedding was official and then they were married for real. But since Celestia still has to watch her subjects in Equestria she decided to stay in Canterlot and Shining didn't mind it. After a few months she became pregnant and told Shining the good news and was so happy. And as for Cadence well let's just say that since she took the throne of the Crystal Empire she was busy as a bee. But she promised that when she has time she'll come visit everyone in Canterlot. But enough about that let's talk about after all that.
We cut inside the Castle of Friendship and see Twilight's new pupil Starlight Glimmer trying to make it to the place on time. And inside we Luna Twilight's wife watching her go at it but also trying to calm her down. Starlight opened the door and came in. Spike was startled by that.
"Sorry, Spike! I guess I'm still trying to find my way around. You don't happen to know where the library is, do you?" Starlight asked.
"Next door on the left." Spike answered.
"Thanks and Luna? I didn't know you were here." Starlight wondered.
"Well that's because I'm married to Twilight now. I know it sounds weird and totally wrong. I get it but it happened okay?" Luna asked.
"Got it. So can you help me get to Twilight? I want to know what my friendship lesson is." Starlight asked.
"Sure. And don't worry Starlight. If you need help I will gladly give you a hand." Luna assured.
Starlight smiled knowing that Luna was right. Then they both entered the library and saw Twilight organizing her stuff. She saw them and thus began figuring out what her friendship lesson is. After a few hours or so she couldn't find what it was. This seem to frustrate Starlight a bit. Then Spike came in and belched out a message.
"It's a invitation! From Celestia! She wants you and your friends to meet a baby she had!" Spike said.
"Shining Armor's a father! I'm an aunt! Well, this settles it! Since we're going to the Crystal Empire, your first friendship lesson is going to be... reuniting with Sunburst!" Luna smiled.
"Great..." Starlight said.
"Don't worry Starlight. It will be okay." Luna assured.
So everyone got on the train and headed straight to Canterlot to meet the newborn baby Celestia mentioned in her letter. Luna was so happy for her sister and her husband for a wonderful birth of the child. While Spike and Starlight when to see Sunburst the girls went in the castle to see Celestia and her child. They even brought gifts to welcome the baby.
"Ahh girls. I'm so happy your here. The baby is ready to see you. I'll go get her." Celestia said leaving to get the baby.
"Oh I do wonder what the baby looks like." Rarity wondered.
"Before we go see her, I should probably tell you. Seeing the baby might be a bit of a shock." Shining reminded them.
"Come on, big brother. I've met babies before. I expect meeting this one won't be any different." Twilight assured.
But then to everyone's surprise Celestia carried a baby ailcorn in her arms. She had her mother's features and looks exactly like her but she had her father's eyes and her mane is striped blue and pink. Everyone gasped seeing her.
"Of course, I could be wrong." Twilight said surprised.
"So the baby is an ailcorn?" Fluttershy asked.
"But... But... But I thought Alicorn wings had to be earned by accomplishing some great, princess-worthy deed!" Rarity thought.
"Yeah. How can you just be born with 'em?" Applejack wondered.
"Now now girls. I will admit that the birth of an Alicorn is something Equestria has never seen before. But I'm happy to have her. This is my daughter Princess Sun Shield." Celestia answered.
"Well she is very cute sister. I'm so happy for your blessed one." Luna smiled.
"Thank you sister." Celestia said.
Then everyone got close to the baby and adored her in every way. She was so cute and beautiful that she loved everypony. But that triggered her magic a lot and Sun Shield flew and her horn glowed and her while she laughed her created a wave of magic which traveled to the Tree of Harmony far in the Everfree Forest and destroyed it instantly. That was not a good sign. Back with everyone else they were a little dizzy from that and shook it off.
"Whoa. Her magic is strong from that." Applejack said.
"Yes. But I am trying to teach her how to control it so she will be fit to take the throne when her time comes." Celestia replied.
But then a guard entered the room with a worried look on his face.
"Your Highness! The Tree of Harmony is destroyed and the Everfree Forest is coming to cover everything in vines!!" The guard said.
Everyone gasped hearing that.
"Oh dear. If all of Equestria is being consumed by the Everfree Forest then we must restore the Tree of Harmony. Girls watch over Sun Shield. I'll stop it." Celestia said.
"I'm coming too sister. I don't want my niece living in a dangerous situation with the Everfree Forest. So I'm gonna help you." Luna replied.
"Ok. Come sister. And girls? If you can find a way to restore the Tree of Harmony then please let us know." Celestia said.
The girls all nodded and the sisters headed off to stop the Everfree Forest from covering Equestria in it's vines. At the same time Starlight, Sunburst and Spike returned and Twilight informed them of the situation. She asked Sunburst if he know any ton restoring the Tree of Harmony but he doesn't. Twilight worried that they may not find a way in time.
"Twilight! I may not be a wizard but that doesn't mean I don't want to help. In fact I found a way to restore the Tree! With a combined magic beam of three princesses at the shatter tree should restore it fast and rid the vines!!" Sunburst explained.
"If that's true then we must try! And Twilight? He did studied magic his whole life! You should see his house! And since nopony has any better ideas, what do we have to lose?!" Starlight added.
"I had planned on asking Twilight to be our baby carer, but since it seems like she'll be busy..." Shining said but got interrupted.
"I'd be honored!" Sunburst said.
Sun Shield giggled at his response.
"Well, what are we waiting for?!" Twilight asked.
So together the whole team headed off to find the princesses while Shining stayed behind with the baby. When the gang found Celestia and Luna they told them the answer they have to stop the Everfree Forest from covering Equestria in it's vines. The sisters understand what had to be done and headed straight for the forest itself and searched for the shattered tree. Once they did the princesses all combined their magic and blasted the stump. Once the magic hit it the pieces of the tree began to reconnect and once the last piece was on the tree was finally restored and the vines disappeared from existence.
"Whew! We did it! Thank you Sunburst!" Twilight smiled.
"Anytime princess." He smiled.
Then everyone returned back to Canterlot and got the chance to see and play with the baby. After the event was over Sunburst had to go. But not before saying goodbye.
"I can't think of anypony more qualified. Just... promise you'll stay in touch?" Starlight asked
"Hm, like I'd ever lose touch with my oldest friend." Sunburst smiled.
And off he went. Starlight said goodbye and she was happy that she reunited with her old friend. Meanwhile Spike noticed the sad look on Twilight's face.
"What's wrong, Twilight?" Spike asked.
"I don't know, Spike. I think I have a lot to learn about being a teacher." Twilight answered.
"What are you talking about? Your lesson went perfectly! Starlight and Sunburst got over their past and rekindled their friendship!" Spike reasoned.
"No thanks to me. I know a lot happened. I just wish I could have given my pupil the attention she deserves." Twilight replied.
"Well, I know she needed to be put on the right path, but giving her the space to make her own decisions worked pretty well. Isn't that how Celestia taught you?" Spike wondered.
Then Twilight realized that he was right. She did needed space all this time.
"You know, I never thought about it! But I guess it is!" Twilight smiled.
"Maybe you're a better teacher than you thought." Spike answered.
Then Luna came to her and hugged and kissed her as she giggled and embraced the love. And that is what happened when Celestia had her baby. But even though she's an ailcorn she will love her no matter what.
