Izzy was in her crafting spot, creating something special for a certain pegasus princess she couldn't stop thinking about lately.

Although she had recently given her a pair of goggles to help her in her new job as a detective, she has planned to give her something else, something that could express what she feels for her without using words, because even though she was the most talkative of the group, trying to explain to Zipp that she had feelings for her without stuttering or panicking was going to be difficult.

And why, exactly? Well, not even Izzy herself could explain it exactly, because this feeling was so new for her, so complicated that it was difficult for her to even accept what she felt at first. And falling in love is something that is not chosen, it only happens without warning, and perhaps that is precisely why the unicorn did not fully understand it.

One day, she was making one of her usual "unicycling" inventions while looking for materials for it, until suddenly something flew over her at full speed. At first she felt scared because she couldn't recognize what it was, but when the figure posed in the air, she immediately recognized Zipp. She sighed in relief and was about to continue her search, but the moment the pegasus flew quickly over her, performing several spectacular acrobatics and maneuvers, Izzy was hypnotized.

Even though her maneuvers were quick and agile, the unicorn was able to find a certain elegance in the way the pegasus moved. She also noticed that her sparkle was brighter than normal, which was understandable now that she could actually fly, but... Why did that suddenly seem so beautiful to her? No, it wasn't just her aura, but also the huge smile Zipp had when flying and... she liked that. Her heart began to race like never before, and her cheeks showed a certain blush.

She always thought that, in her own way, Zipp was pretty... now she saw her as a beautiful pony, she dared to say that she was the most beautiful mare she had ever seen in her life. Why did she suddenly feels so strange thinking about her? She didn't understand it, at least not yet. She shook her head and at last returned to the search for unicycling materials, even though the uncertainty about this new feeling of hers gnawed at her.

That same night, the Mane 5 were quietly watching a movie. Well, actually just Zipp and Izzy, since the other 3 fell asleep. The unicorn looked askance at the pegasus sometimes. The most she saw was 5 seconds and then she returned her gaze to the TV. But the few seconds she saw her, her heart began to beat again as if she were running a marathon.

Her almost perfect manestyle, thanks to her mane spray; her shiny hooves, even though she wasn't a fan of "looking like a princess"; her white fur so soft and her wings that combined several colors... all of that suddenly seemed so incredibly attractive and beautiful to Izzy. She still didn't understand what was happening to her, and she was getting scared, because she had never had a feeling like that towards any pony before, especially towards another mare.

However, the months passed and that feeling towards the pegasus only grew more and more. She finally accepted the truth: She had fallen in love with Zipp. She didn't understand why, of all the ponies, she was the one who stole her heart, but she didn't want to look for a logical answer. It was something she liked to feel, and she wanted to express it in some way. Those goggles that she had given her just a few days ago, she wanted to give them to her with another meaning, but the pegasus's paranoia forced her to bring them forward and give them to her so that she would calm down, so now she was making a new gift.

And what about Zipp? Well, things were similar with her.

For several months, Zipp had had that same feeling for Izzy, with the difference that she immediately knew what it was, and she began to deny it in every possible way. How, when, why? It didn't make sense, it couldn't be possible that she was falling in love with one of her best friends, and even less so with Izzy. That is to say, they had nothing in common and were from two completely different pony species.

Besides, her mother would never approve of something like that: She was a pegasus princess, Izzy was a unicorn who, as far as she knew, did not have a very high social position, and for her mother that could mean the end of the world. However, she was aware that falling in love is something that just happens, it cannot be controlled as if nothing had happened. But when did she start seeing her unicorn friend that way? When did she start to have this feeling that was so new to her?

It all goes back to that same day when Izzy started to feel that way about Zipp. At night, while they were watching a movie, she could notice that the unicorn was constantly watching her. She didn't feel uncomfortable at all, and she didn't dare ask her why she was looking at her so much, mainly because Izzy was somepony different from the others, more lively, positive and innocent.

Therefore, the pegasus believed that perhaps she was just feeling uncomfortable and wanted to break the ice somehow. And although she would never admit it out loud, she also wanted to break the ice, but in the end she didn't know what to say to do it. Hours passed, and the unicorn ended up falling asleep like the others. Zipp, feeling like "the most responsible one," decided to turn off the TV and look for some blankets to cover the others.

She found only 3 free blankets other than those of her friends, so she had to improvise. As Sunny and Hitch fell asleep on top of each other, she covered the two ponies with one blanket, with another she covered Pipp and with the last one she planned to cover Izzy, since she planned to go to sleep in her own bed. However, when the blanket fell on the unicorn, she felt how she was pulled towards her seat by a hoof, Izzy's, who held her steady and was not going to let her go.

Zipp felt uncomfortable at first and tried to run away, without success, but as soon as she gave up and looked at the sleeping unicorn, she paralyzed: Her mane was somewhat disheveled that for some reason it did not become even more disheveled even while she was asleep; her purple fur so soft and silky; her adorable sleeping expression and her smile had hypnotized her. And suddenly, her heart was pumping like never before and her cheeks turned red.

She immediately understood what that meant: She liked Izzy. But how? Until a few seconds ago she still saw her as her friend, why did she suddenly fall in love with her? She didn't know it, and she didn't want to accept it. But the months began to pass, and the feeling became greater and more evident, to the point that she ended up accepting it. However, she was never going to say it, because she would surely be reproached and furthermore she would not be reciprocated. It wasn't worth it... or so she thought.

When Izzy gave her those goggles, her feelings for the unicorn only grew. That was going to be a gift that she would take care of with her soul, and that she would never pull away from her, because it wasn't just any pony's, it was hers, her beloved Izzy. Now more than ever she wanted to tell her how much she loved her; However, she didn't even know where to start. How do you propose to the girl you like? She was still new to the topic of love, and she was very bad at expressing "cheesy things", but she wanted to tell Izzy what she felt, even if she risked being rejected, she needed to tell her.

Fortunately for the pegasus princess, the unicorn ran into her in a... somewhat peculiar scene. Izzy was looking for Zipp somewhat desperately, to the point where she was practically running everywhere to find her. However, when she found her, she didn't know how to stop in time and ended up bumping her nose into hers, causing a slight blush on the unicorn, but a bigger one on the pegasus. Izzy felt embarrassed and immediately moved away from her, which managed to snap Zipp out of her state of shock at no longer feeling the touch of the unicorn.

Without giving much explanation, Izzy asked Zipp to meet her at the Crystal Brighthouse's Crystal Room's balcony at sunset, because she had something important to tell her. She then ran away the way she came, leaving the pegasus confused, but at the same time happy and determined. Whatever Izzy wanted to tell her, she would listen, but she would also take this opportunity to express to the unicorn what she felt. The how no longer mattered, she would simply tell her without further ado.

Or so she believed, but as she approached the time to meet Izzy, she began to back out. Not in going to see her, she wouldn't be absent for anything in the world, but she no longer wanted to confess what she felt. Why? Her nerves got the best of her, she felt it was better to save her rejection and not say anything at all. The strange thing was that she suspected the unicorn felt the same; However, she did not go beyond that, a mere suspicion. And although the possibility of being reciprocated was still there, she thought it would be best to remain silent.

She still wasn't 100% decided, she would just let things happen as they had to happen and that's it. She looked at the sky, verifying that the sun began to set, indicating that it was time to go to the Crystal Room's balcony. She took a deep breath and flew towards the Brighthouse, landing right on the balcony, waiting patiently without knowing that Izzy was hiding on the other side of the room, while she watched her nervously. Her heart was beating like never before and her cheeks were red, she was undoubtedly afraid of how the pegasus would react.

"Okay Izzy, you can do it," Thought the unicorn

She approached at a slow pace towards the pegasus, who was still unaware of Izzy's presence. The blue-maned pony was hiding some kind of paper in her mane, and despite how nervous she felt about it, she managed to gather courage and get Zipp's attention.

"H-Hey, Zipp..." The nervous unicorn greeted. "Y-You came..."

The named pony got a little excited and turned to see the unicorn. Immediately her heart began to race like never before, although by a miracle she didn't turn as red as she did earlier, when Izzy collided with her.

"Hello Izzy," the pegasus greeted back. "Of course I came, I wasn't going to leave you hanging!"

Izzy felt her heart skip a beat when she heard that. She was about to speak, but Zipp suddenly beat her to it.

"You said you had something to tell me, right?" She asked.

"Y-Yes! In fact, that's what it was about to come to..."

The unicorn took a deep breath, and with her magic she levitated the paper out of her mane, extending it towards the pegasus. Zipp looked at the paper confused, but with one of her hooves she took it.

"What is this?" Asked the pegasus. "I mean, I know it's a piece of paper, but what does it have?"

"T-There's something written inside, s-something that I can't say with words because... I have had a very strange feeling that I have never felt for any other pony... I-I hope you like it."

The nervousness in the unicorn's words caught Zipp's attention, who already partly suspected what the paper could be about. But instead of asking Izzy, she simply opened it and began reading what it had written:

You know, for a while now everything has been different for me, maybe you don't notice it, or maybe you do, the point is that, I no longer see you as a friend, I see you beyond that, and the truth is I It's scary, because I don't know anything about this feeling, a new feeling that I never had for any other pony in my life.

Since I began to know you better, without prejudices or false stories about pegasi, I realized that you brighten my days like no pony does. I love listening to you talk about mysteries, watching you perform stunts in the air, make stupid jokes, and perform those strange equations that I don't understand.

Every second that this feeling for you grows more, I tried to convince myself that it was just a confusion but... now I'm sure what it is. Every time I get close to you, I get tangled up in my words and without any explanation I feel like everything is perfect.

I can't contain what I feel for you any longer, because I might go crazy if I try.

While Zipp read the content of the paper, which was adorned with several photos of both, stickers and glitter (lots of glitter); Izzy was dying to know what Zipp would say about it. When the pegasus finished reading the paper, her cheeks were red hot, her heart was racing, a light shine appeared in her eyes and she couldn't help but smile. She looked the unicorn straight in the eyes, which she waited in fear for Zipp to speak once and for all.

"Whoa..." Said the pegasus. "Izzy, this is... very beautiful..."

"R-Really?" Izzy said, still with uncertainty, but with a certain joy at the same time.

"I think you snatched the words directly from my mouth... I couldn't have written it better..."

Izzy didn't understand at first what her opposite meant, but just when she was about to say something upon understanding the message, she was silenced by coming into contact with Zipp's lips. At first she didn't know how to react, but little by little she let herself go and returned the gesture.

"I'm in love with you too, Izzy," Zipp said, after braking the kiss. "I've been for a long time."

It was difficult to describe how happy they both felt. Normally they would act like girls in love, but... instead they just linked their lips again, this time Izzy being the one who took the initiative, with Zipp gladly reciprocating.

Maybe they worried too much after all...
