The Wedding of Music and Flying
The Big Event of the Night
In Cloudsdale the home of most pegasi we see a house where a certain rainbow filly was living. Her name is Rainbow Dash. And boy she loved all sorts of adventures. But today however little did she know that it's gonna be a very special day. You see not too long ago her parents Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles just received an invitation in the mail. They went in the backyard where Rainbow was playing.
"Hey Rainbow! Come here honey there's something we gotta tell you!" Windy said.
"Coming mom!" Rainbow said and went to them. "So what is it? It is another Daring Do book?"
"No honey it's not that. As it turns out we are invited to a wedding today! Turns out it's Spitfire's mother Stormy Flare and her love named Fretlock. Oh I'm so happy for my friend. And she wants you and a few friends to be the flower girls sweetie." Windy explained.
"That is generous offer. But I don't really go to weddings." Rainbow said.
"Now honey Stormy Flare is a good friend of your mom. It would break her heart if we didn't show up to her wedding. So I want you to be on your best behavior and please participate in being the flower girl okay?" Bow asked.
"Ok dad." Rainbow responded.
"And who knows? Maybe you might find someone who loves you." Windy teased.
"Mom!!" Rainbow said blushing.
"Relax honey I'm just teasing. But you might find someone you like. So go get ready we leave in 30 minutes." Windy said.
Rainbow nodded and prepared for the wedding. After 30 minutes she was all ready. The Dash headed out and went straight to Canterlot where it was taking place. They finally arrived and the guard told them to present the invitation. They did and he let them in the castle. Now in the throne room there were other ponies enjoying the festivities before the ceremony starts. Rainbow decided to try and enjoy it before the actual wedding begins. In doing so she saw her childhood friend Fluttershy, a filly named Spitfire and a colt named Soarin.
"Hey Fluttershy." Rainbow greeted.
"Oh hey Rainbow. I thought you didn't like weddings?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well I usually don't go to any but Stormy Flare happens to be a good friend of my mom. So I have to support her." Rainbow explained.
"Oh I'm so happy your supporting your mom's friend. Will you at least give the wedding a chance at least?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yeah I'll try." Rainbow replied.
"Good to hear Rainbow. And if I'm being honest I would have rather stayed home. But my mom said that if I wasn't there at her own wedding then I be disrespectful of her. And I certainly didn't want to be that. So all I can do is try to enjoy the wedding." Spitfire said.
"Yeah that's for sure. Maybe it won't be so bad." Rainbow agreed.
"Hey don't worry Rainbow. We'll make it through. Besides I actually think you will look cute as a flower girl. And if you want maybe we can share a little dance together after the ceremony." Soarin suggested.
Rainbow blushed again but this time in a good way.
"Sure. I actually like that Soarin. Please when the ceremony is over I will accept a dance with you." Rainbow smiled.
"Great! I'll be seeing you around Rainbow." Soarin said as he left and the other two smiled seeing the romance.
"I think you got an admirer Rainbow. That was sweet." Spitfire replied.
"I agree. Now we best go put on our flower girl dresses. We gotta be ready for the wedding." Fluttershy reminds them.
"And I would be glad to get you three ready. Come girls." One of the bridesmaids said.
So Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Spitfire were taken by one of the bridesmaids to get dressed in her flower girl dress. Rainbow didn't mind in her new flower girl dress. They were like a salmon pink and looked really cute. Then the bridesmaid style Fluttershy and Rainbow's mane before putting the crowns of rose on them. She smiled seeing how cute they looked. Then came the big moment. In the halls we see the bride and groom in the best wedding clothes ever. Fretlock wore a music note tux and a midnight blue dress shirt, while Stormy Flare wore an elegant white sparkling wedding dress. The pony at the organ began playing as everyone rose up and watched the two walk down the aisle. As they were we see Rainbow, Fluttershy and Spitfire coming down the halls spreading out the flower petals. They came up to the podium where his bridesmaids and his best man were waiting. Once they stand there Princess Celestia came to the stand and everyone sat down. And Fretlock took the veil off of Stormy’s face.
“Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of this young pegasus and this young mare in holy grace. The couple have written their vows before the rings are exchanged and when we pronounced them. With that said Stormy you may go first." Celestia started.
Stormy looked into his eyes and began her vow.
"My dearest Fretlock. You have been a inspiration to many ponies. But you inspired me the most. You stolen my heart when you sang that song. I guess love really makes the best music of all time. So if anything I would love nothing more than to be happy with you for the rest of my life." Stormy vowed.
Fretlock smiled at her words as she shedded some tears. Now it was Fretlock's turn to vow his love.
"Stormy my dearest angel. I have written many songs and sang all around the world. But the best one I did was when me and you got together. You inspired me to keep going and I would love to say that I would be so happy with you for the rest of my life and together we can make music that's even better." Fretlock vowed.
She cried a little but his words were true. Then Soarin came down the aisle with the rings since he is the ring bearer. They took one each and Celestia said the vows.
"Do you Fretlock take Stormy Flare to be your lawful wedded wife? To love, cherish, and honor in the days for the rest of your life?" Celestia said as Fretlock placed the ring on her finger.
"I do." Fretlock said.
"And do you Stormy Flare take Fretlock to be your lawful wedded husband? To love, cherish, and honor in the days for the rest of your life?" Celestia said as Blaze placed the ring on his finger.
"I do." Stormy said.
"Then by the power invested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. Shining you may kiss the bride." Celestia finished.
The two then sealed their everlasting love with a kiss and the crowd cheered knowing that they got married and are ready for a bright future. Then came the greatest part of the wedding. The newly wedded couple will share a dance on the floor and invited everyone to join in. But Rainbow was a little lonely til Soarin came in.
"Hey Rainbow. You didn't think I forget about you. I still want to share a dance with you if that's okay." Soarin smiled.
"Yes. It's okay. I be glad to dance with you." Rainbow replied.

He took Rainbow’s hand and began waltzing with her. They danced beautifully under the stars as Rainbow begin to cry tears of joy sharing this magical moment with Soarin. Little did she know that her parents, Fluttershy and Spitfire were watching and they loved seeing their little girl dancing with a handsome colt and actually enjoying the wedding. They danced and danced for a while soaking in every single moment of this and never broken eye contact. After when the song was over they posed and the crowd cheered not only for the wedded couple but for the two lovely dancers as well. Rainbow and Soarin took each other's hands and bowed.
We then cut to the ceremony of the couple leaving for the honeymoon. As Fretlock and Blaze Wing both entered the carriage she decided to do one thing. Stormy toss the bouquet, and Rainbow and Soarin caught it together before they kiss right in front of Rainbow Dash's parents and Fluttershy. They both blushed in embarrassment but her parents weren't. They actually smiled at that.
"Well Rainbow. You actually gained a lover in Soarin. And don't be embarrassed dear. We are happy for the both of you." Windy assured.
"Oh. Well thanks mom." Rainbow smiled.
Meanwhile, Stormy Flare and Fretlock take Spitfire with them to the honeymoon. But before they can head off Spitfire went to them first.
"Hey Rainbow? I have something to ask you." Spitfire said.
"What is it Spitfire?" Rainbow wondered.
"Well since you caught the bouquet and I noticed that you and Soarin are in love I was wondering if you like to join me and my parents for their honeymoon?" Spitfire asked.
"I would love to. But is it okay with you mom and dad?" Rainbow wondered.
"Of course sweetie. Go have fun." Bow replied.
"Thanks! And can Fluttershy come too?" Rainbow asked.
"Sure. She is your best friend. Bring her along." Spitfire responded.
She smiled big as she and Soarin held hands and went with Spitfire and joined them in the carriage. And Rainbow, Soarin and Spitfire encouraged Fluttershy to come with them. Fluttershy smiled and she climbed in the carriage and sat down next to Rainbow. They were all so happy for this and the carriage took off and everyone cheered for the new wedded couple. And that brings this story to it's happy conclusion.
