Chapters The Vampire Prince of the Night
It was a lovely day at Canterlot High and everyone is doing good in their classes. But today was a special day for the student body. Today was the day that they will be setting aside to visit the Manehattan Theater for a special program. We zoom inside the school and see everyone heading to the lunchroom where Principal Celestia is giving her announcement on the program. Everyone quieted down and got ready to hear what she had to say.
"Ok everyone. Principal Celestia here with an announcement. Remember that today is the day where we set aside to visit the local Manehattan Theater for the Musical Arts program okay?" Celestia asked.
Everyone nodded and agreed yes as a way of saying their on board.
"Good. Now I want everyone to make this a positive experience okay? If we all take a moment to look within I think everyone can see that special something that represents the best way to make wonderful art. And don't forget that we will be there for 3 months cause we will be participating in a special play that the director is working on. So let's all make a difference in sharing the passion of theatre. Ok class?" Celestia asked.
Everyone agreed and said yes as they started getting excited to see how they do it in Manehattan of theatre. The Rainbooms and a lovely woman named Octavia Melody were excited too. But somehow she was a little upset.
"Girls! I am so excited to go to the Manehattan Theater! I even brought my wardrobe to see what kind of play we will do later on! I can tell that it's gonna be full of passion and heart!" Rarity exclaimed.
"Ok Rarity but we don't even know what kind of play we'll be participating in. I really don't do theatre that much." Rainbow replied.
"We know Rainbow but this something we all have to do for the next three months. It's not so bad if you give it a chance." Twilight reminded her.
But then Sunset Shimmer notices that Octavia was a little upset. She wondered why and went to her.
"Hey Octavia? Is everything okay?" Sunset asked.
"No I'm just a little sad right now." Octavia answered.
"Well what's wrong?" Sunset wondered.
"When I heard that we were going to the Manehattan Theater for three months I completely forgot to make some music for our special play. And not only that but I hadn't found any inspration. I honestly don't know what I'm gonna do." Octavia explained.
Then Principal Celestia came to her.
"It's okay Octavia. I know it's hard to come up with some new music for the play but if there's one person I know that can write beautiful music it's you." Celestia assured.
Octavia smiled knowing that she is right.
"Thank you Principal Celestia. But there's one problem. How will I make enough music for our play on time?" Octavia asked.
"Don't worry about that. You will have all the time you need. When I was talking to the director on the phone she told me that you have til the end of March to make some music. That should give you enough time to think about what you want to be inspired by." Celestia explained.
"Oh ok. Thanks for letting me know Principal Celestia." Octavia said.
"My pleasure. Ok everyone! Let's all gather our belongings and make our way to the buses." Celestia announced.
Soon everyone stood up and grabbed their stuff and made their way to the buses. The students all filled three or fours buses up and after they did that the lead bus began moving and the others followed behind so they wouldn't get lost. In one of the buses we see the Rainbooms gossiping to each other about what they'll do once they arrive at the Manehattan Theater. Meanwhile with Sunset and Octavia they were trying to figure out what kind of music she can write for the play.
"So Octavia. Since were heading to a theater in thinking that you can write some music about romance." Sunset suggested.
"That could work. But first I need to know what kind of play we will be doing once we arrive in Manehattan. If I don't know what kind of play it is then I can't write the music." Octavia said.
"No worries. You can definitely do that. And I know your gonna do great making that music." Sunset encouraged her.
"Thanks Sunset. I know I will to." Octavia smiled. "So what are you going to do for the play?"
"I'm probably going to try and practice my singing and dancing. I always dreamed of being a dancer/singer in theatre. So that's why I'm gonna do." Sunset explained.
"Oh how wonderful! Well I wish you good luck. Be the best singer and dancer you can be." Octavia said.
"Thanks Octavia. Same to you." Sunset responded back.
We zoom out as the buses continued to follow the lead bus all the way to Manehattan. Once they arrived everyone grabbed their belongings and got off the buses and headed inside the Manehattan Theater. Once inside they all saw a wonderful sight to behold.
The entire performance hall was adorned with beautiful golden statues that sparkled brightly. There were rows upon rows of velvet red seats with golden frames and trimmings. What really seemed to catch all of their eyes, their mouths dropping, was the centerpiece of it all hung high over their heads. An amazing diamond chandelier lit up the entire hall, twinkling and sparkling like a thousand stars. Rarity had to wipe away a tear that began to from in her blue eyes. Never before had she seen such a beautiful opera house, not even the most famous on in Canterlot measures to the beauty of this room alone.
“Oh my!” Rarity gasped, starstruck. “I’ve never seen such a beautiful sight!”
"Me either Rarity. It's beautiful." Fluttershy agreed.
"I'm glad you are all enjoying the view. But follow me as we locate the director of this theater and get assigned to our positions of our play. Come class." Celestia announced.
So the class all followed Celestia to find the director. Little did they know that a mysterious shadowy figure was watching from bleachers covered in shadow.
"Hmm. Very interesting. A group of people wondering what the music has to offer. I shall keep a close eye on them and see what they are doing." The figure said in a deep tenor voice.
The figure walked away and followed quietly to see what the class were doing. And sooner or later he will try to help them achieve that and earn the heart of a certain girl that plays the cello.

The Vampire Prince of the Night
Everyone continued following Celestia to meet the director of the Manehattan Theater. She kept on walking til they got to the stage in the performance hall. In there was a woman who was busy getting her performers all ready for another play. The woman is lavender skinned, has her sky blue hair in a bun, and wearing a director's dress. She saw the class and smiled big.
"Ahh you all must be the class that is here for the Musical Arts program. I am Madame Violet. The director of The Manehattan Theater." She said.
"Well it's A pleasure to meet you Madame Violet. I trust you will help my fellow students prepare for this play that's happening at the end of March?" Celestia asked.
"But of course. Our job here at Manehattan Theater is to make wonderful art. And I just know your students with no doubt do their best to make some art." Madame Violet answered.
"Thanks. Now Octavia Melody will be in charge of making the music. She is quite good at that. But she needs inspiration to do that." Celestia said.
"Oh it's no problem. The key to making art is to always find the right inspiration to make this music fit well. And I also been informed that all of you will be staying here for three months?" Madame Violet asked.
"Yes Madame Violet. For this program we are staying for three months." Celestia answered.
"Okay. Well please make yourselves at home and get occupied here. I gotta get back to work. These performers have to be in tip top shape for tonight's show." Madame Violet said.
The class all nodded in agreement and Celestia let them go get occupied in their own bedroom while the performers get the other one.
In the bedroom we see the Rainbooms and the other students getting occupied in their room. While Octavia was getting her stuff out her best friend Vinyl came to her.
"Hey Tavi. Can you believe that were going to stay at this lovely theater?" Vinyl asked.
"Yes Vinyl. But I still wish I could have some help coming up with the music. I don't know what kind of play we will be doing to begin with." Octavia worried.
"Don't worry Tavi. You'll think of something. You always do." Vinyl assured.
Vinyl patted her shoulder and went to finish unpacking. Octavia was still unpacking and when she looked through the window she saw a shadowy figure. She rubbed her eyes hoping it was a vision. When she looked through the window again the figure was gone.
"What was that? I saw someone but whoever it was is gone." Octavia thought.
The Rainbooms saw Octavia's confused look and went to her to see what the problem was.
"You okay Octavia? What's wrong?" Rarity asked.
"I thought I saw someone through the window. I was certain he was right there." Octavia answered.
The Rainbooms looked through the window and so far all they see is the night sky and saw nothing else.
"We don't see anything Octavia. I think you might be hallucinating a bit. Try resting a little bit and get some energy for tomorrow." Twilight suggested.
"Maybe your right. I should just rest for tomorrow." Octavia agreed.
After everyone finished unpacked they all got in their pajamas and fell asleep resting for tomorrow. Meanwhile outside we see the figure on top of the roof. He was a pale skinned man, wearing a midnight cape, A starry dress shirt, and black pants and boots. The way his black hair was slicked back we can tell that he looks like a vampire. But this one is nothing like the other evil vampires. His name is Nightshadow.
"Hmm. So this talented young lady is having trouble writing music hmm? Well I don't see any reason why I shouldn't help her. And her name is Octavia Melody hmm? Such a beautiful name for a blooming flower like her. But first I must see what else this musician can do." Nightshadow said.
So Nightshadow walked off of the roof and turned into spiritually energy quietly walking in the theater so he wouldn't wake everyone up. He arrived at a mirror and used his magic as the giant mirror slowly slid open, a mist swirls from within, and he went inside. He walked down the stairs and entering a lair of large rock-like formations decorated in stars representing the night sky, which in turn led to a large organ, along with many other trinkets scattered about. This was presumably Nightshadow’s secret lair. He sat down in a throne and began writing a note.
"Once I deliver the note I will see to it that Miss Octavia has quite multiple talents on the musical arts. I can't wait to see you perform in Box Five." Nightshadow said.
He finished the letter and folded it into an envelope and sealed it with a blue wax seal. Then he went ahead and went to sleep preparing for tomorrow. Cause soon Octavia will meet the Vampire Prince. But however the Rainbooms might get a little suspicious of this guy.

The Vampire Prince of the Night
The next morning everyone was fully awake and all dressed. They all headed to the performance hall and found Madame Violet and Principal Celestia discussing something. But then they both saw the class coming to them.
"Good morning students. I hope everyone slept well." Celestia said.
They all nodded and said yes.
"That's wonderful to hear. Because I just received this letter from our mysterious friend. Aka The Night Ghost." Madame Violet said holding a letter.
"Umm Madame Violet? Who exactly is this Night Ghost?" Fluttershy asked.
"Well he's actually a legend that no one knows how he came here. But I'm sure he means well." Madame Violet said.
Everyone was a little confused hearing that. They have never heard anything about a Night Ghost before in their lives. Meanwhile on the bleachers Nightshadow was hiding in the shadows observing the group of people on the stage.
"Oh I certainly do mean well. Now let's see what they can do in these musical arts." Nightshadow replied.
Then Madame Violet opened up the letter and began to read it.
"Sirs and madams I hereby welcome you to my theater." Madame Violet started.
"His theater?" Rainbow asked.
"I heard that you fine people with be staying here for three months and you are willing to learn the wonderful skills on theatre. So I have your first assignment. Since Madame Violet has done a wonderful job training these fine ladies for another play I believe that their should be a grand performance to open the show. So I would like for you all to practice your voices and whoever most impresses me I shall choose that person to open the show. Au revoir. N.G." Madame Violet finished.
"A grand performance? That sounds like a wonderful idea to open up the show." Celestia smiled.
"Yes. But I simply do not know which one of you will open up the show." Madame Violet worried.
Then they heard a scoff. It came from a man with dirty blonde hair all groomed well. He was Blueblood.
“Exactly what performance could this ‘Night Ghost’ have in mind?” Blueblood said, mockingly. “Perhaps he means for the dead to rise from the graves and dance vaudeville.”
Celestia frowned at his rude remark.
"Blueblood I thought I told you no disrespecting the choices of whoever is in charge of making the music arts. If I hear another rude remark out of you then you can check your attitude at the door." Celestia said.
The people oohed meaning that if he continues then he's in big trouble. Meanwhile Nightshadow saw the remark he made and his eyes pierced in anger.
"How dare he disrespect the arts of music? I better keep an eye on him just to be sure. But for now let's see which one will open tonight's show." Nightshadow said.
He sat down and prepared to watch the people go at it. Hours went by and though he heard some great singers he can't decide on who he'll choose. Then Madame Violet came to everyone with an announcement.
"Okay everyone. You all have wonderful voices. But to be honest I don't know which one to pick. As anyone not got a chance to sing?" Madame Violet asked.
"I haven't Madame Violet. Only cause I'm A little nervous." Octavia answered.
"Come now dear. I know that you might be a little nervous and that's okay. So please sing for us." Madame Violet encouraged.
"Ok. I shall sing." Octavia said.
So Octavia went to the center of the stage and took a deep breath and cued the piano player to start and she sang.

Octavia started to sing beautifully during the song. Meanwhile Nightshadow heard her lovely voice and observed her talents. Needless to say that he is starting to get impressed. He swayed his head to the rhythm and Octavia posed ending her verse and the song. Everyone was in shock how she can sing and applauded her. Even Nightshadow clapped his hands for a wonderful performance.
"Very impressive. Yes. She will be the one to open tonight's show." Nightshadow replied.
He took out another sheet of paper and wrote another message. Once he finished it he let it float down and Madame Violet saw it. She grabbed it and looked at the message. She smiled and went to everyone.
"Octavia my dear you were a gem! And you most certainly are gonna wanna hear this." Madame Violet smiled.
She looked at the message and started reading.
"Ladies and gentlemen. I have heard your voices and did well. However one of you has certainly impressed me a lot. Because of that I have made my decision. The person who will open tonight's show is none other than Miss Octavia Melody. You will receive a special dress that's awaiting you in the room. I look forward to see this performance in Box Five which will be kept empty. I bid you good luck. N.G." Madame Violet finished.
Octavia smiled and all the Rainbooms hugged her including Vinyl.
"Tavi! That was amazing! I didn't know that you can sing!" Vinyl smiled.
"Me either. I'm surprised as well." Octavia admitted.
"Well darling you singed beautifully. And you will have no problem opening tonight's show. You deserve this." Rarity praised.
Octavia smiled and hugged her friends and knows that tonight will be the best one ever.
Nighttime rolled in and we see lots of people getting their seats and sat down waiting for the show to start. Backstage we see Octavia wearing the dress she was given by the mysterious Night Ghost. It was a purple dress with lavender trimmings and amethysts decorated all over. She looked on the stage and was nervous about performing. Then her friends came to her.
"You nervous Octavia?" Twilight asked.
"Yes Twilight. I never done this before. What if I mess up out there?" Octavia worried.
"Don't be silly Octavia. You did a fine job singing earlier. We know that you are gonna do great out there. And we'll be watching from backstage rooting for you the whole time." Applejack assured.
"Yeah! Get out there and sing!" Pinkie cheered.
Octavia chuckled a little and smiled. "Thanks girls."
Then Madame Violet came to the group.
"Miss Octavia. It's time." She replied.
"Thank you Madame Violet. Alright. Here I go." Octavia said with confidence.
"Break a leg out there. Not literally." Rainbow replied.
Octavia walked to the stage and took a deep breath and was ready. But then she saw a shadowy figure sitting in Box Five. Normally that would make her nervous yet all she feels is safe. Then Madame Violet came from behind the curtains and prepared to open the show.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen. I like to thank you all for coming here tonight. Now before we start the show there is a grand performance that you will witness to open tonight's show from my special guest. So please welcome the talented, the lovely Miss Octavia Melody." Madame Violet said.
The audience applauded as the curtains rose up only to see Octavia Melody standing on this very stage and as the piano played she started singing.

As she sang, tears started to spring to her eyes because of how much emotion she was putting into this song. The audience started to cry a little. They knew that is a lovely song and with that much emotion made it all the more romantic. Even the Rainbooms couldn't hold their tears. After her performance was over and done, she stood there with tears flowing down her face as she looked out amongst the crowd. There was nothing but silence for a while but then the crowd erupted into cheers and applause at such a wonderful show. Octavia smiled brightly and bowed to the crowd before slowly making her way backstage. Her friends all ran up to her and engulfed her in a huge hug.
“That...Was...Amazing!” Twilight professed loudly.
"You were terrific Tavi! That was an amazing grand performance! You know if this Night Ghost really made this so great then I really need to thank him." Vinyl said so happy.
On the bleachers Nightshadow heard what Vinyl said and smiled hearing that she wants to thank him for this performance.
"How kind of you Miss Vinyl. I will accept your kind gratitude." Nightshadow said as he used his magic to bring out a lovely midnight blue rose. "And for Miss Octavia she will receive this rose for a wonderful opening."
He walked off the bleachers and placed the rose on a chair in the room where Octavia and her friends were sleeping in and left. Then the show continued on and after it was done everyone left and the class all headed to their room to rest. At the same time the Rainbooms, Octavia and Vinyl came in and saw the rose. Octavia went to it and picked it up smiling.
"Oh my. Such a beautiful rose." Octavia said.
"Yes. It is a kind gesture of him to send that rose." Rarity agreed.
"Oh please! That is clearly because this so called Night Ghost thinks Octavia is the best at singing! Well he just wasted his time when really it should had been me!" Blueblood snarked.
"I will have you know Blueblood that Octavia is a great singer! All you done is be a bossy bitch and a royal pain in the ass! So you don't deserve to be singing to open up that show!" Rarity said angry.
"Whatever. She is a wasted talent and will fall to the lowest stops before you know it." Blueblood said rudely.
That statement made Octavia cry as Vinyl hugged her for confrontation. But as Blueblood was about to leave he came face to face with Principal Celestia and boy she was not happy with his actions.
"Blueblood. I thought I told you not to disrespect your classmates. Outside the theater now." Celestia said.
Blueblood lowered his head and Celestia grabbed him by the ear and dragged him out of the theater. Yep he is definitely in trouble. Now with the Rainbooms they were calming down Octavia after he rudely disrespected her.
"There there Tavi. Don't listen to what that grouch says ok? You did great tonight and nothing can change that. Okay?" Vinyl said.
Octavia stopped crying and smiled at her friend. "Okay. Thank you Vinyl. But I need to clear my head. I'm gonna go for a walk. I will be right back."
"Ok Octavia. Take your time." Sunset said.
So Octavia left the bedroom and shut the door. After she went off a black glove-clad hand inserts a key to the lock in the door. Slowly, the hand twists the key around a few times, till the lock finally clicks softly. Drawing the key back, the person with the key turns and swiftly, silently, walks off.
Octavia walked around the theater to clear her head and hopefully will feel better and not listen to anymore of Blueblood's lies. Then she entered the performance hall and sat in a seat trying to calm down. Then suddenly she felt a breeze coming in and was feeling a little cold. She got a little nervous and didn't why it was happening and then she heard a voice singing.

Octavia could hear the deep tenor voice singing and she started to feel a little better as it was reminding her that her Angel is watching. She even decided to sing along and after the deep tenor voice finished the song everything went quiet. Then a spotlight shined on a man in the center of the stage as Octavia saw him. It was Nightshadow. He and Octavia stared at each other for a good long time in silence waiting to see who makes the first move.
The Vampire Prince and Octavia finally meet face to face.

The Vampire Prince of the Night
The Musician and The Vampire Prince
For quite a long period of time Octavia and Nightshadow stared at each other in utter silence til he spoke to her.
"So the folk tales are true. There is a lovely musician who can sing and make wonderful music." Nightshadow spoke.
Octavia blushed at his comment.
"Well thank you. I appreciate your kind gesture." Octavia said.
"A blooming flower you are and quite frankly has good taste in music. I guess I certainly made the right call having you open the show I witnessed." Nightshadow replied.
"Wait. Are you saying that you were the one that made all this happen?" Octavia asked.
"Why yes I did. I was also the one that gave you that rose for a wonderful performance." Nightshadow said as he walked down the steps and went to her slowly. "Oh but where are my manners? I didn't introduce myself. I am Nightshadow. The Vampire Prince and leader of the Peacelighter Vampires."
"Vampire? You're A vampire?" Octavia asked.
"Yes. But I'm not an evil vampire like the ones you see in movies. No no. I am far different from the other vampires." Nightshadow answered.
"Well thank you for telling me that. But what exactly is a Peacelighter vampire?" Octavia asked.
"I'm glad you asked. You see Octavia Peacelighter vampires are actually ones that try to spread peace and harmony throughout the world. A thousand years ago we were a peaceful race and we try to help the people rid the ones that cause sinful acts of crime. But lately they wouldn't believe us and resulted in killing us. I was the only one who managed to escape from those faces of the outside world. And I constructed a secret lair underneath this theater where no one would find me." Nightshadow explained.
"Oh I'm sorry that your people were killed. But hang on. Were you also observing me? Cause if I remember correctly I kept seeing a shadowy figure. First through the window and then in Box Five." Octavia wondered.
"That was me my dear." Nightshadow admitted.
Octavia couldn't believe that the whole time Nightshadow was observing her and the performance. There were so many questions she wanted to ask but can't right now.
"Ok. Also if you really are a good vampire then how come you haven't been sucking people's blood? Don't vampires need that to survive?" Octavia asked.
"Technically yes. But I don't go around sucking people's blood. The only times I do suck blood is when I see a human that has a heart of darkness and causes crimes throughout the world. I leave the innocent be and only attack the sinful." Nightshadow explained.
"So you only hurt bad people?" Octavia added.
"Yes. They have no concept of the harm which I am capable of doing. If only because I really hate to see them waste such innocent lives when they can be spent further on in the future." Nightshadow replied.
"Oh I see. But how did you get here? When you first arrived in the theater?" Octavia asked.
"I'm afraid that is something I can't share with. It's a long story and brings up unpleasant memories." Nightshadow said sheepish.
"Oh sorry. I didn't know." Octavia apologized.
"It's okay. It happens you know?" Nightshadow replied.
"Yes that's true. So why exactly did you think that I was the perfect girl for the opening act of the show?" Octavia wondered.
"Because I saw the potential in you. You had the voice of an angel and if I'm not mistaken you played a wonderful tune on your cello during your free time. I can assume that your mother and father have taught you very well." Nightshadow responded.
"Well yes. My mother was always quite a violin player herself and my father was a singer too." Octavia said but then a sad look appeared on her face. "But sadly my father died when I was young, complications from heart failure. My mother cared for me until I was old enough to strike out on my own. I moved here annd enrolled to Canterlot High to become an official musician, eventually achieving my dream of joining the Royal Symphony. Unfortunately, my pursuits led me to…fall out of contact with my mother. I wrote her less and less as my life became busier." Nightshadow noticed with worry that tears were starting to run down Octavia's grey-coated cheeks. "The…*sniff*…the last letter I received from her…she had developed cancer, a-and had only a few weeks to live."
She sniffed again as she fished a kerchief out of her dress and began dabbing her eyes with it. Nightshadow, despite himself, gently wrapped his hand around Octavia's hand to comfort her. She started slightly at the sudden contact, but somehow, the act seemed to soothe her enough to continue her tale. "I hadn't talked to her in s-so long, and I-I felt guilty…*sniff*…I immediately returned to my hometown to see her…t-to apologize. By the time I got there, she w-was already confined to her bed."
Nightshadow hugged her as he rubbed her back trying to calm her down as she cried.
"I am so sorry for your loss. I can assume that you and your mother were really close." Nightshadow replied.
"Yes. But I never got the chance to say goodbye after I left. Now I feel really sad." Octavia cried.
"Hey hey it's ok. And you know something? I actually have spirit powers that can do things most people can't. Including seeing people that passed away some time ago." Nightshadow explained. "Would you like to see your parents again?"
"You would really show my parents again?" Octavia hoped.
"Why yes. If you want to see them they don't be afraid to ask." Nightshadow assured.
"Then I wish to see my dear mother and father again. And tell them that I really miss them." Octavia replied.
"Your wish is my command. Follow me to my secret lair and I will grant you the pleasure of seeing your parents again." Nightshadow said.
He took out his hand and Octavia placed her hand on his as he gently took it. He led her to the mirror in one of the bedrooms and used his magic as the giant mirror slowly slid open, a mist swirls from within, and he allowed Octavia to go in first. He then stepped in as the mirror closes from behind. It would seem that the Vampire Prince and Octavia are getting along well. How will the Rainbooms react when they heard that Octavia is missing? Only time will tell.
Author's Note
So the Vampire Prince and Octavia are getting along. But the Rainbooms might need to go looking for her and we can only hope that they will trust Nightshadow.
The Vampire Prince of the Night
The Rainbooms and Vinyl were still in the bedroom waiting for Octavia to return but they haven't heard from her for almost two hours now and were starting to get worried.
"Girls? Where's Octavia?" Twilight asked.
"I don't know. She's been gone for two hours now and I haven't heard anything from her. Vinyl do you think something bad happened while she was on her walk?" Sunset wondered.
"I honestly don't think so. But I think we should go and try and find her just to make sure she's ok." Vinyl suggested.
The girls all agreed and got up trying to see where Octavia is. But when they tried getting the door open they couldn't budge it. It was locked!
"Uh girls? I think someone locked the door." Fluttershy worried.
"Who would lock the door like that!?" Rarity panicked.
"Calm down Rares! Lemme see if I can use my super strength to break the lock." Applejack said.
Activating her geode she used her super strength to quietly break the lock off the door. Reason why is because everyone else was still sleeping. Applejack succeeded at that and cued her friends to quietly tiptoed out of the room and proceed to find their missing friend.
They searched high and they searched low. They looked everything to see where Octavia could possibly be. But no one could find her. They all headed to the performance hall to see if there was any trace of her. But so far there was nothing. Then they all went to the empty bedroom with the giant mirror and sat down in worry.
“Where can Octavia be? We know she was with us in the theater.” Rarity answered.
“You don’t think that an evil alien aducted her and they are probing her badly?!” Pinkie asked.
“Pinkie there’s no such thing as aliens. I seriously doubt it was that.” Rainbow replied.
Then Pinkie laid her head on the frame and to their surprise the giant mirror slowly slid open revealing a passageway to the unknown. The girls were all surprised seeing that and wondered if Octavia was in there.
“Pinkie. How on earth did you make that mirror open?” Sunset asked.
“I don’t know. I just laid my head on it.” Pinkie answered.
“Well whatever you did I think Octavia could be in there. I could be wrong but maybe we should check it out.” Vinyl said.
The girls all nodded in agreement and one by one they all entered the mirror and followed down the stairs to what secret it holds.
Meanwhile with Nightshadow and Octavia they were actually getting along pretty well. In fact Nightshadow was showing her his art collection he made.
“Wow I can’t believe that you created these fine works of art.” Octavia smiled.
“Why thank you. I made all these as they high shrine to beauty. All these works of high art you see are to remember my father who passed away some time ago.” Nightshadow said sadly.
“Oh my. I’m so sorry about your loss. Were you and your father close?” Octavia asked.
“You could say that. When I was a little boy my father was the most caring person anyone could ever had. And he vowed to always protect me from harm. But suddenly in his original castle where he and mom were a fire started spreading and killed my mother. My father was lucky he got out but while he was running away someone stabbed him in the heart with a wooden staff. Before he died he gave me his immortality and I was off on my own. Not wanting to be found and killed is when I found this theater in Manehattan. So I constructed this lair and I’ve living here since. Cause no one can accept me for who I am and all they see in me is a monster.” Nightshadow explained sadly.
Octavia couldn't help but shed a few tears to his story. Losing his father really broke his heart.
"I can't believe you lost father. I'm so sorry for you. Plus I still wanted to see my parents." Octavia replied.
"That's right I almost forgot. Here lemme bring them to you and you can tell them how much you miss them." Nightshadow said.
Using his spiritual abilities he created a pathway for the spirits to travel to come down here. Then suddenly two balls of pure light came down and formed into two people that Octavia was very happy to see. Both of them were dressed as singers and violin players. When Octavia saw them she cried a little as she stared at them that she missed for a long time. Meanwhile with the Rainbooms they were travelling down the lair and suddenly they saw Nightshadow making using his powers to give Octavia a chance to see her parents one last time.
"Girls? Who is that guy?" Rarity whispered.
"It's him! The Night Ghost!" Fluttershy said quietly.
"Well heavens to Betsy! There really is a Night Ghost here. But yet he's not harming Octavia." Applejack said.
"I think he's doing this to be ready to harm her! I'll stop that guy!" Rainbow said as she ran fast towards him. The Rainbooms tried stopping her but it was too late.
Back with Nightshadow and Octavia she finished saying her final goodbyes to her parents and they disappeared into thin air. She smiled at Nightshadow to say thank you for letting her see her parents one last time. But suddenly a rainbow blur came in front of Nightshadow and punched him in the face and he flew to the ground knocking over a few pieces of his art collection. Octavia saw that and gasped.
Then the blur became more whole as Rainbow Dash came in front of him and repeatedly punched him in the face again and again. She stopped and grabbed him by the neck collar.
"Alright you! Why did you kidnap Octavia?! Spill the goods!!" Rainbow shouted.
"Rainbow have you lost your mind?! He didn't kidnap me!! Let him go!" Octavia snapped.
"Not until he tells me why he took you down here!" Rainbow retorted.
Then the other Rainbooms showed up and they saw what Rainbow was doing. They immediately went to her and pulled her away from Nightshadow and she kept on kicking and screaming til Rarity came up and slapped her in the face.
"Rainbow! Have you have no self control?! What is your problem?!" Rarity shouted.
While they were arguing Octavia went to Nightshadow and carefully helped him up. Vinyl saw him and went to Octavia's side to get a better look.
"Tavi. Are you alright? We were worried about you." Vinyl asked.
"Yeah I'm okay. Actually I'm more than fine. But I don't appreciate the fact that Rainbow attacked my friend for no reason!" Octavia answered.
She took out a tissue and cleaned off some of the blood that was coming out of his nose. After she did that the Rainbooms got closer to him and slowly made sure he wasn't pissed at them.
"We are so sorry sir. Rainbow has a anger problem and always keeps trying to fight her way out of her problems with violence. We're terribly sorry." Sunset apologized.
He turned his head to face them and was very mad at Rainbow for attacking him. As for the others he can tell that Sunset is telling the truth and isn't violent like Rainbow.
"I see you found my lair. And I accept your apology. But as for your rainbow friend I will not allow her actions to go unpunished. She attacked me for no reason and thought I harmed your friend when clearly she is wrong." Nightshadow replied.
"Oh way to go Rainbow. Thanks for using violence that stupidly got us all punished because of your anger problems hothead!!" Vinyl frowned.
"Sorry! I thought he was harming Octavia!" Rainbow reasoned.
"Rainbow! He wasn't harming me!! All he was doing is give me his company down here! And he allowed me to see my parents again after so long. Then you came in and angered him! He's my friend! In fact he was the one that thought I was a blooming flower and talented musician." Octavia cried.
The Rainbooms took everything that Octavia said and Vinyl went to her.
"He really said that you were a blooming flower and talented musician?" Vinyl asked and Octavia nodded yes. "Then I don't see anything evil with him. If he is not harming you then I respect him."
She then turned to Nightshadow and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Nightshadow is it? Listen I'm sorry that Rainbow attacked you. I can promise you that we will have a long talk with her. But I want you to understand that you have my full trust. You kept Octavia company in here and I respect someone who cares for my friend. So thank you for being there for her as a friend." Vinyl said.
"Thank you Miss Vinyl. At least you and the others have some respect. Unlike her." He said pointing at Rainbow. "Consider this a warning Rainbow. If your anger continues then dire consequences will happen that can harm your friendship."
"You might need to take his advice hon. We don't want you lashing out again." Applejack said.
"Okay fine. But I still don't trust that guy." Rainbow snarked.
The Rainbooms, Vinyl and Octavia frowned at her remark and then they decided to head back to rest up for tomorrow. The last one to enter the mirror was Octavia and before she left she needed to hear his voice one last time. Nightshadow paused and looked at her.
"Nightshadow. Please don't take it out on Rainbow. I know what she did was wrong but she means well. For me please?" Octavia asked.
He really didn't want to hurt her feelings. On one hand he was still pissed at Rainbow for the assault. But on the other hand he wouldn't go against Octavia's wish and attack one of her friends. So he crossed his heart and vowed to her.
"I promise Octavia. But if the anger continues consuming her then the consequences could be dire." Nightshadow replied.
That was all she needed to hear and she eventually turned away and walked off to catch up with the others as the mirror sealed behind her. So the Rainbooms finally meet the Vampire Prince but Rainbow might have screwed up big time making him mad.

So the Rainbooms finally meet the Vampire Prince. And Rainbow? You should be ashamed of yourself. Attacking him for no reason when he clearly did no harm to Octavia. I can only hope your anger doesn't consume you.
The Vampire Prince of the Night
The next morning the class all woke up for another day of theatre. But the Rainbooms stayed up a little late because of what happened last night. See Octavia went on a walk, encountered The Night Ghost, her friends coming to find her and then they saw him and Rainbow got pissed. So they stayed up to try and get Rainbow to stop being angry. Everyone got dressed and headed to the performance hall. But the Rainbooms were still thinking about the events from last night.
"I can't believe that we actually saw this Night Ghost." Sunset said.
"Me either." Rarity agreed.
"Um girls? I forgot to mention something. He's not really a ghost. He's actually a vampire." Octavia confessed.
"A VAMPIRE?!" The Rainbooms said all scared.
"Now now take it easy! He's not an evil vampire! He's different! And plus he did not bite me!" Octavia reasoned.
"But you said he's a vampire! Surely he must have bit you!" Fluttershy cried.
"No Fluttershy he didn't! Lemme finish! He's a Peacelighter Vampire. Meaning he doesn't suck innocent people's blood." Octavia explained.
The Rainbooms got a little confused hearing that. On one hand they knew that most vampires they see in movies are usually pure evil and leave bite marks after they suck their blood. On the other hand THIS vampire was kind and gentle towards Octavia and didn't do one thing to hurt her. So they all calmed down and processed everything she said.
"Ok so your saying that Nightshadow is a Peacelighter vampire." Rarity started.
"Yes."
"And he doesn't suck innocent people's blood." Applejack continued.
"Yes for he only attacks bad people." Octavia replied.
"And he managed to understand how your feeling during hard times and shows you confront?" Fluttershy finished.
"Yes. He's gentle, kind and sweet. In fact he was quite handsome. Madame Violet was right. He really does mean well." Octavia said blushing.
"Well Tavi. I'm happy to hear that you were able to understand him. But we just need to be careful about how we act. Especially you Rainbow. You cannot get mad at him just because he took Octavia to his lair." Vinyl said.
"I said sorry. But you know how I get when some evil being is near. Plus you didn't need to hit me in the face Rarity." Rainbow replied.
"Then you shouldn't have attacked him. You got lucky last night but don't think you'll be lucky again if you rage out." Rarity said.
"Ok I screwed up. I'm sorry! Can we please move on?!" Rainbow shouted.
"Yes. Just don't lash out. Now let's get to the performance hall." Twilight said.
So everyone agreed to move on and head to the performance hall where everyone is going to get their next assignment. Once everyone was gathered in the performance hall they saw Madame Violet and Principal Celestia coming to the center of the stage.
"Ok class I hope everyone is rested well enough. Because today I have been informed that today we will have three of you participating in this play of Madame Violet. What do you call it?" Celestia asked.
"The play that only three of you will participate is called Turandot, by Puccini. Which happens to be a fairy tale of a cold-hearted princess and a brave prince who must solve three riddles to win her hand." Madame Violet answered.
The class nodded and a girl named Starlight raised her hand.
"Yes ma'am?" Madame Violet asked.
"Umm is this princess really heartless all the time?" Starlight asked.
"Technically yes she is. But in my version of the play I decided that she won't be heartless for too long. Now everyone. Let's start rehearsing. Take your places." Madame Violet said.
So everyone all took turns rehearsing to see which three people would be casted in the play. Meanwhile on the bleachers Nightshadow was watching below seeing how things would go. After about 3 hours everyone was done singing and dancing and Madame Violet needed time to decide on three people. After an hour she came to a decision.
"Ok everyone. I came to my decision. Since my performers will do the dances I have decided that the three people who will perform in the play will be......Adagio as the princess, Inferno as the prince and Flash as a calàf." Madame Violet stated.
Everyone clapped their hands and all three people were excited to be in this play. Then Madame Violet saw a letter floating down and she caught it. She then opened it and prepared another announcement.
"Attention everyone. I received another letter from our mysterious Night Ghost. Let's hear what he has to say." Madame Violet said as she read the note.
"Ladies and gentlemen. I have been informed that the three people who will perform in the Turandot play are Adagio, Inferno, and Flash. They are good choices and I agree that they should be in it. However before you begin the show I expect Miss Octavia Melody to perform a wonderful ballad to open it. I trust she will not disappoint. And you will keep Box Five empty as I witness it. Have a great show and good luck. N.G."
Everyone nodded in agreement and would accept the decisions he wants. But Blueblood was one certain guy who was not happy with this.
"Ugh! I can't believe it! You refuse to let a real star on stage and let common filth ruin it!!" Blueblood shouted. "And on top of that this 'Night Ghost' is letting Octavia open it with awful singing!!"
"Blueblood that is enough!! I had it with your attitude! I told you several times to not be disrespectful but you refused! Now get out and think about what you done!" Celestia yelled.
Blueblood huffed in anger and stomped out of the door. In the hallway he growled and sat down on a bench pouting.
"Why does no one respect me?! I'm A prince!" Blueblood asked.
"Because you clearly don't A damn thing about respect." A deep tenor voice said.
Blueblood froze in shock and looked around seeing who said that. Then he felt a slight breeze and closed his eyes from being cold. Then when he opened them he came face to face with Nightshadow as he stared into his soul.
"Ohh! Hey! Ok Rainbow that's not funny! Stop fooling around!" Blueblood yelled.
"I say that you're the one fooling around jerk." Nightshadow replied.
"Me? I'm never a jerk." Blueblood denied.
"Lies. You disrespected the arts of theatre. You gave no respect to anyone in your class. And to make things even worse you disrespected the very talented musician Octavia is." Nightshadow said.
"How...how did you know all that?" Blueblood worried.
"I have been watching you jerk. And you displeased me. Now you'll pay for your actions." Nightshadow said determined.
He grabbed him by the throat and flew with him to the bleachers and made a sword out of spirit energy and stabbed him in the chest as he screamed in pain. As he was doing this he also grabbed a rope and tied it around his neck.
"Wait! No no! What are you doing?!" Blueblood cried.
"Tell me Blueblood. What kind of things happen when someone chooses to disrespect others?" Nightshadow asked.
"Uhhh...Bad things?" Blueblood answered nervously.
"Maybe you oughta remember that. The next time you try and step out of line with my star." Nightshadow replied.
So Nightshadow held his body close to the ledge as he cried in fear. He could only watch the show their performing as he know that he fucked up big time. Then his struggle for life fainted, his body growing limp, as Nightshadow took hold of the rope and nudged his body, so it dropped and hung center stage, breaking his neck. Then he cut the rope and his dead body fell onto the stage and everyone screamed in fear seeing that.
"Oh my god! A dead body!" A chorus girl screamed.
Everyone in the audience freaked out and Madame Violet immediately told the backstage crew to lower the curtains and got in front of everyone.
"Everyone please remain in your seats! I apologize! The show will continue once we get everything cleared up! It was simply an accident!" Madame Violet said.
The Rainbooms witnessed the whole scene in horror and needed to head out to avoid all of this. They couldn't believe their eyes. They saw The Night Ghost kill a man. As they head out all they could do is stutter in shock. With everyone shocked and unsure of what to do, the director and Principal Celestia rushec from their box seats to recover Blueblood’s body. But the damage was already done, and the crowd was in several unrest. But the lingering question still remained: What would The Night Ghost do now?

The Vampire Prince of the Night
Confronting and Explaining
The whole Turandot performance was a pure disaster. Nightshadow killed a man and everyone screamed in fear seeing that. Because of everything that witnessed this whole thing they were trying to clean up all the blood and dispose the body as best they could. But after everything that happened they were forced to shut the production down. After cleaning up everyone was in the performance hall for the director's announcement.
"Ok everyone I seriously apologize for what happened tonight. So I'm afraid that we had to cancel this show for tonight. But worry not! That doesn't mean were canceling your performance for when I have it ready. But everyone should stay in their rooms for tonight cause I believe one of you pissed off the Night Ghost and he's not happy." Madame Violet said.
"Why did this horrible act of death happen? This is officially the worst opera I've ever intended." Rarity thought.
"Ok class I'm afraid that Madame Violet is right. Until the Night Ghost has calmed down everyone has to stay in their rooms until further notice." Celestia announced.
So everyone did what Celestia assigned them to do and headed straight to their rooms.As the Rainbooms and everyone headed back to their rooms, they couldn't help but think about what happened with Blueblood and the others behind were desperately trying to catch up.
"That was the worst opera I've ever seen in my life." Rarity said.
"Why? I thought it was pretty good." Pinkie replied.
"Oh I don't know. Lemme think. Maybe it's because that Night Ghost killed someone on stage!!" Rainbow shouted.
"Girls! Girls! Please calm down! I know that he did kill someone but did you stop and think that maybe he had a reason why?" Octavia asked.
"What reason could he possibly have for killing him?!" Rainbow argued.
"Think about it! Blueblood has been disrespectful to me the whole time. Nightshadow didn't treat me like he did. And he clearly didn't like how Blueblood was acting so maybe that's why he attacked him." Octavia explained.
"I admit that Blueblood was a pain in the ass since day one but still didn't need to kill him!" Applejack said.
"Really now?"
The Rainbooms saw two other girls that are their classmates saying otherwise. They were Fleur De Lis and Rara.
"No disrespect on your opinion Applejack but I would be lying if I didn't appreciate him killing Blueblood. He disrespected my singing on one of my shows one time." Rara admitted.
"And he insulted my sense of fashion when I was at dinner one time and made me feel so humiliated when he purposely spilled a drink on my dress. So if we think that he didn't have a reason to kill Blueblood well he sure does now." Fleur replied.
"Yeah. And Octavia. You don't have to listen to what that jackass says anymore. You were a great singer and nothing will change that. You should thank him for that." Rara said.
The two left and Octavia's head was all dizzy. One one hand she appreciated Nightshadow for killing Blueblood as he was trying to protect her from Blueblood's cruel behavior. But on the other hand it was still murder and no one would except that. Ultimately it made her feel dizzy and Vinyl carefully lowered her head as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
"Ok girls? Tavi's had a long night and needs some rest. Why don't we just go to bed and we try to put this ugly night behind?" Vinyl asked.
"Alright Vinyl. Maybe a good night sleep is what we need after this whole fiasco we witnessed. But Vinyl? Are you sure that the Night Ghost had a reason for killing Blueblood?" Twilight asked.
"You heard what Fleur and Rara said. I say he had a good reason. So yeah. Fuck Blueblood. Now let's get some sleep." Vinyl said.
So everyone got changed into pajamas and went off into dreamland. All except for Octavia. She struggled to sleep after witnessing the most grueling act tonight. At this point she got up and was sweating a little. She really needed to clear her head so she took a coat and quietly tiptoed out of the room. Once she reached the balcony she stepped out to get some air. And sure enough Nightshadow emerged from behind a statue. For a moment, the two could only look at each other in utter silence, as the cold wind swept through Octavia's hair and made his cape sway.
"How could you do that?" Octavia whispered, breaking the silence.
“I can’t—”
“HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?!” Octavia screamed.
Nightshadow was a bit shocked from her reaction.
"You don't understand Octavia." Nightshadow said.
"What couldn't I understand? When we first met I saw you as a kind, gentle vampire. And yet you gave me the up most respect ever. Now I don’t know what to possibly think. You killed a man tonight and now his body lies dead on that stage!” Octavia said.
“He was a rude person and a monster!” Nightshadow shot back.
"I admit Blueblood was being disrespectful to me and my friends but nothing was worth killing....." Octavia said.
"He disrespected your singing and and called your friends common filth!" Nightshadow yelled.
Octavia paused at his response and started to process what was going on.
"What do you mean?" Octavia asked.
He sighed softly and explained. "I was watching from the bleachers and I noticed him being the selfish arrogant jerk he was. All because he thinks that he wasn't qualified to be a star. And when Miss Celestia specifically told him to change his tone he refused. And I knew that if all this continued he would do something violent to you or your friend Vinyl and I couldn't let that happen. So I had to do what's right."
As Nightshadow explained his actions, Octavia started to rethink what she had seen in him throughout the entirety of the last twenty minutes. He didn't kill Blueblood because he wanted to. But he only killed him because he didn't want him to further his anger and viciously hurt Octavia or any of her friends.
"You truly stopped him from actually using his fists on me or my friends?" Octavia asked.
"You simply need to ask them yourself." Nightshadow said. “To know if they would had been attacked before I disposed of him.”
“Well, despite your good intentions, nothing calls for killing a man in cold blood as you did.” Octavia replied
“Would you rather I let him live? To let him do God knows what to your friends?" Nightshadow asked.
"No not at all! But there must have been another way." Octavia said.
"With cruel men like Blueblood there was no other way. No matter what you do and no matter what you say they will not stop. It was up to me to put a stop to him once and for all.” Nightshadow explained.
Octavia couldn't believe that Nightshadow has justified killing a man even to save her friends from being brutalized. Despite all his best intentions, it is still murder. All this made her head ache and Nightshadow saw that. He gently made his way to her and using his powers he proceeded to clear her headache. She felt a little better and looked at Nightshadow once more.
"Thank you for clearing my headache." Octavia said.
"Anytime. But I just want you to understand this Octavia. With men like Blueblood there was no other way to reason with him. I had to do what's right. Even though it involved death." Nightshadow replied.
Octavia took some time to think and she actually knew he was right about Blueblood. He was a cruel man and won't listen to any reason.
"You know Nightshadow? I'm actually glad you disposed his life. Because I'm not the only one who was treated like that. I have two other friends who were victims to Blueblood. Rara and Fleur De Lis. He disrespected Rara's singing on one of her shows one time. And he insulted Fleur's sense of fashion when she went to dinner one time and made her feel so humiliated when he purposely spilled a drink on her dress." Octavia admitted.
"Mmm. So he disrespected more people than I thought." Nightshadow said.
"Yes. So for what’s it worth, I thank you for saving me and my friends from harm tonight.” Octavia replied.
Octavia leans close and gave him a tender kiss on the cheek. She then was about to go inside but Nightshadow placed a hand on her shoulder and she turned her head.
"Wait Octavia. Before you leave I wish to give you something to show that I still mean well." Nightshadow said.
He proceeded to do that through a magic trick. He took a small bucket and grabbed a small diamond and put it in. Then he took a pitcher of water and poured some in there. He put the pitcher down and waved hand around it and conjured a ball of energy and placed it in the bucket. It started bubbling and glowing as he put the bucket down. After ten minutes it stopped. He waved his hand over the bucket and reached in grabbing a necklace with a diamond music note. Octavia gasped softly and he placed it around her neck.
"It's beautiful Nightshadow. I don't know how you did that." Octavia said.
"A good magician never reveals his secrets." Nightshadow smiled.
"You still mean well Nightshadow. And once again I thank you for saving my friends." Octavia smiled.
She hugged him and he returned it. After five minutes they separated and Octavia went inside to rest up. Nightshadow was glad that he and Octavia's bond wasn't broken. Now he was hoping that he would explain this to the Rainbooms and Vinyl and they won't lash on him.

The Vampire Prince of the Night
A whole month had passed since the Turandot incident. Life slowly began to return to normal… For the most part. Following the death of Blueblood the director and Principal Celestia were ensuring the public nothing like that would happen again. The class were all relaxed now and were performing different shows as they were preparing for their specific play on the end of March. And Octavia actually managed to write a little music for the play but it wasn't finished. During that time at night she sighed sadly, thinking about Nightshadow as she had every day since their last meeting. Yes killing Blueblood was murder and all but he did do that to save her friends so at least he had a reason. Then she kept thinking about him and wondered if she feels a connection.
"Why is it that I feel a connection between me and Nightshadow? Could it be that I like him? And yet, there’s something about him…" She thought.
“Oh, I can’t stand this anymore!” Octavia said, aloud.
Having enough she got her unfinished music and a coat and went to the bedroom with the giant mirror and once she arrived at the mirror she tapped the frame as the mirror slowly slid open, the mist swirls from within, and she went inside. She walked down the stairs and entered Nightshadow's lair. On her way there she saw three strange bunnies bouncing and they each had a star on their foreheads and were a midnight blue color.
"Aw hey little guys. Can you take me to Nightshadow?" Octavia asked.
The bunnies nodded and were bouncing in the direction that they were leading her to his realm. Then after a few minutes she saw him writing some music of his own. He heard her footsteps and turned around seeing her and smiled.
"Nightshadow."
"Octavia."
The two came close to each other and hugged. Nightshadow rubbed her back and she moaned softly from that.
"You're still looking beautiful as ever Octavia." Nightshadow smiled.
"Thanks Nightshadow. And you look handsome as always." Octavia replied.
"Thank you. Now what brings you here? I noticed you my little Nightbunnies." Nightshadow asked.
"Well I needed to come down to see you after a month passed. I hope you weren't crossed with me." Octavia worried.
"Of course not my blooming flower. I could never be angry with you. And I see you brought some music that you written." Nightshadow noticed.
"Yes but it isn't finished. I'm not sure what else I can write for our play." Octavia worried.
"Not worry not my dear. I can help you finish your music. I wrote some music before so this shall be easy to do." Nightshadow said.
"Thanks. I don't know what I do without you." Octavia smiled.
The two smiled at each and got to work finishing Octavia's unfinished music. For the next few hours they spent the day writing some music that will fit the play that her class will do. Nightshadow even planned on writing some scripts and decided which part will be played by. They even practiced some dances that the performers will do for their play. Octavia couldn't help but enjoy his company and deep down she started to develop feelings for him. After four hours her music was finally completed and ready for her class's play.
She picked up the completed music and then she looked at Nightshadow and placed her hand on his cheek.
“Thank you for helping me with this.” Octavia said, softly.
"Your welcome my dear. And think as a way of me saying that I'm terribly sorry for ruining the Turandot performance. It really was so uncouth of me. But again I had to stop Blueblood." Nightshadow said.
"Oh it's no big deal. You explained why you attacked him and I appreciate that. And Nightshadow? I was wondering if you would join me and my friends at the Masquerade in two weeks? I really want to thank you for saving my friends and this is my way of saying thanks." Octavia offered.
"I would be honored to join you and your friends at the Masquerade. And maybe you and I can share a dance together." Nightshadow answered.
"Yes. A dance with you would be really nice." Octavia agreed.
Then, his eyes caught sight of his clock tower sitting beside his art collection. It was mid-morning, no doubt someone was bound to notice her absence.
“I must bring you back before everyone starts to worry,” Nightshadow told her.
"Ok and again thank you so much for helping me finish my music. And I will see you at the Masquerade." Octavia smiled.
"See you then." Nightshadow replied.
Octavia found she grew to love his smile and the way it made his eyes twinkle in whatever light was around. She felt a blush spread across her cheeks, as she looked down. Nothing bad could come from any of this. She left the lair and Nightshadow knew what he had to do next. Get ready for the Masquerade she invited him too.

The Masquerade and Punishment
A few weeks passed and everyone was in a masquerade mask and outfit that they choose for tonight. We see the Rainbooms in their ball gowns and masks enjoying the party. Vinyl was wearing an outfit that represents a eagle and Octavia's was no doubt quite beautiful. She had a red rose gown, a black mask she wore as the bodice adorned with tiny crystals, creating swirling patterns, and the skirt billowed around her legs, fanning out as she spun around. The skirt itself had a spray of black beads descending from the bottom of the bodice, creating similar patterns.
"Hey Tavi! Look at this party! Isn't it amazing?" Vinyl asked.
"It certainly is amazing Vinyl. And don't be mad but I invited Nightshadow to come to the party. So I hope that Rainbow doesn't go into a full raging animal again like last time." Octavia said.
"I ain't mad. If you want your Night Ghost here they I won't mind. After all he was nice when I met him. But as for Rainbow we are keeping an eye on her to make sure that do anything stupid and might ruin the party." Vinyl replied.
"I heard that! I'm not gonna ruin it!" Rainbow said.
"Well Rainbow we are just making sure that you don't rage out. Cause I'm gonna give Nightshadow this you really need to take his advice." Sunset said.
"Sunset's right. We can't risk you losing it and attacking someone that isn't a threat." Twilight agreed.
"All right girls. It's only the dress that is making me uncomfortable." Rainbow complained.
Rainbow left to join the rest of her friends and continued to enjoy the party. Vinyl and Octavia decided to go get some drinks to energize them for when they wanna dance later. Soon after an hour it was time for a good session of dancing. Most people grabbed a partner and waltzed to the music and feeling the emotions. They were loving it that on some songs they decided to sing. And Octavia was dancing by herself. It wasn't that she didn't want to dance with someone but she was a little nervous to dance with a man. Suddenly, the singing stops as the lights dim dramatically, causing everyone to turn and stare toward the left, to the very top of the stairs. There stood a man, dressed elegantly, but everyone knew who he truly was:
Nightshadow aka The Vampire Prince and Night Ghost.
He stood on the staircase and was wearing a complete purpley-blue outfit, the collar was high, reaching his jaw. His trousers matched the coat and a velvet cape was pinned to his left shoulder, equally as elegantly embroidered, and trailing along the floor behind him. A black belt sat around his waist, and he wore black knee-high boots and black leather gloves. His black hair was slicked back as usual, and he wore a mask this time. This mask represents a god decorated in stars. Everyone was a little nervous and scared seeing him. But for the class some were nervous too but others were actually happy to see him. Especially Octavia.
With slow, steady steps he made his way downstairs and walked towards Octavia. He then took off his mask and Octavia did the same smiling.
"Nightshadow."
"Octavia."
The two looked in each other in the eyes and everyone seemed a little confused. They thought the Night Ghost was evil and yet all they see is a kind being towards one of their classmates. He then turned his attention to the rest of the class.
"Good evening Canterlot High students. I am Nightshadow. And yes they call me the Night Ghost. But rest assured I didn't come to ruin this Masquerade. No. I have received an invitation from Miss Octavia Melody to come and join you on this glorious night. Since I know that some of you are a little nervous seeing me I thought I make myself present and show you that I'm not a dangerous person." Nightshadow explained.
Then everyone started to rethink about their thoughts on Nightshadow. Then Fleur and Rara came to him in curiosity.
"Excuse us sir? Are you really the Night Ghost?" Rara asked.
"Yes. But you can believe me when I say that I mean no harm." Nightshadow assured.
"We believe you. In fact we didn't get the chance to say thank you for disposing Blueblood. He was so rude and selfish that he choose to disrespect some of us like me and Rara. So we appreciate you dealing with him and ending his life. We can also see that you were trying to protect Octavia and her friends from facing his wrath. So we want to say thank you Nightshadow." Fleur replied.
Then everyone started to process everything that she said and realized that he was the one that killed Blueblood. But most of them were actually glad that he got rid of Blueblood since they cannot stand hearing his mouth run anymore. Then Nightshadow went to Octavia and stuck his hand out.
"Miss Octavia Melody? You would care to dance?" He asked.
She giggled. "You may."

As the music began she took his hand and he wrapped his arm around her waist and began waltzing. They danced beautifully under the chandelier as Octavia begin to cry tears of joy sharing this magical moment with Nightshadow. As they were doing this all the people watched them in amazement seeing this pair waltz. Even Twilight and her friends watched and couldn't take their eyes off of it. After the dance they all posed and they cheered.
"Brava! Brava!" Fleur cheered.
"That was stupendous! Wonderful!" Rara agreed.
Even the Rainbooms clapped for them at this performance. All but Rainbow who still thought she was under a spell he placed. Then in anger she ran into the road and headed for the duo. With Nightshadow and Octavia they held hands and took a bow to everyone. But then a rainbow blur tackled him to the ground and everyone gasped. Rainbow held him down and and repeatedly punched him in the face again and again. She stopped and grabbed him by the neck collar.
"You think your real funny huh?! Trying to place another spell on Octavia with the necklace? Well your not gonna take our friend monster!" Rainbow shouted.
She kept punching him and he screamed in pain and everyone decided to help him. Even the Rainbooms noticed that and want to help too. Half of the body grabbed Rainbow while the others helped up Nightshadow. When the one half helped Nightshadow they fixed his outfit and wiped the blood off his face.
"Darling? Are you okay?" Fleur asked.
"Yes. A little bruised again but I'm fine." Nightshadow answered.
"Rainbow! What the hell is your problem?!" Rara yelled.
"I thought he placed a spell on Octavia with the necklace on her neck!!" Rainbow reasoned.
"No he didn't! He did not place me under a spell!! He simply gave me this necklace through a magic trick he performed as a gift! Why do you keep thinking that he's a bad guy when he's not?!?! He may a vampire but he's showing respect towards me and everyone else! But if you can't see that through your thick skull then your the monster!!" Octavia cried.
She ran out of the ballroom crying and everyone was in shock and also very pissed at Rainbow.
"Dude. Is it true? Are you really a vampire?" A boy named Flash asked.
"Yes. But I'm actually a Peacelighter vampire meaning I only harm bad people and Rainbow let her anger consume her and ruined this occasion. I'm so sorry." Nightshadow replied.
"Don't be. You haven't done a thing wrong. If anyone deserves to be punished it's Rainbow." Fleur said. "We know that you never ever harmed Octavia and we can tell she took a liking to you. So take Vinyl and go find her. We'll deal with Rainbow for you. And Twilight? Since you and the others were trying to help we want you to kindly leave the ballroom and head back to the room. This will not be pretty."
"Actually Fleur. If I may? I told her to not lash out at Nightshadow but she didn't listen. So don't take it out on the other Rainbooms. Let them smack some sense into Rainbow and have me and Nightshadow go find Octavia." Vinyl offered.
"Vinyl! Please don't do this!" Rainbow pleaded.
"Sorry Rainbow. But you brought this upon yourself." Vinyl said angry.
"You know what? I like the way your thinking. But now that I actually gave it some thought. Girls? Get Nightshadow and Vinyl and go find Octavia. He's the only one that can help her calm down. We'll handle Rainbow for you." A girl named Cloudchaser said.
The Rainbooms didn't know what to do in this situation. One one hand they were really mad and Rainbow for lashing out and ruining Octavia's night. But on the other hand they didn't want Rainbow getting beat up. Ultimately the looks on everyone's face beat them to it.
"Vinyl please get Nightshadow and let's go find Octavia." Twilight decided.
She nodded and went over to Nightshadow and guided him out of the ballroom and out the door. Once Nightshadow closed it all they now heard is angry roars, punching and yelling. And they also heard Rainbow screaming in pain begging for them to stop. The group cringed hearing that expect Nightshadow.
"I tried telling her that if this continued the consequences would be dire. But her anger both the better and now has to pay for the consequences." Nightshadow replied.
"Big time. Now we best find Octavia and try to fix this." Rarity suggested.
Everyone nodded in agreement and headed off to look for Octavia. He may have gained the trust of The Rainbooms and everyone else but Rainbow has a lot to learn about Nightshadow's true intentions and has to understand that he isn't an evil vampire and wants to be himself as a kind being towards all.

The Vampire Prince of the Night
Outside the Manehattan Theater Octavia was crying because a certain rainbow girl ruined her night. She cried thought that she was gonna have the best Masquerade night of her life. But then all of a sudden Rainbow had to come in and ruin that special moment. She was very upset. On top of that she thought that the necklace Nightshadow gave her was cursed but really it wasn't. She could not have been more upset then she was now. Then the Rainbooms, Vinyl and Nightshadow came out of the door and found Octavia crying on the steps.
"Octavia. Are you all right?" Sunset asked.
"Physically yes. Emotionally no. I can't believe that Rainbow ruined my night and attacked Nightshadow again. Why did she have to ruin my night?" Octavia cried.
"Were sorry that Rainbow caused this. Honestly I don't know why she won't accept the fact that Nightshadow is a vampire but is not causing harm." Applejack said.
"I know why." Nightshadow said as the girls looked at him.
"You do darling? Why is that?" Rarity asked.
"Because she's too blind by rage to see the truth of me. When I was a little boy I used to have a family. My father was a kind man and always cared. Even my mother cared. But then one day a fire started in the castle where I used to live and killed her. My father was lucky to be alive. But it was cut short when someone stabbed him and he died but not after he gave me his immortality. Not wanting to die I searched for a place to stay in hopes of being accepted. But so far no luck. And when things couldn't be worse a mob formed and tried killing me when all I wanted was a home and make friends. No matter how hard I tried no one would give me the respect and friendship. I was scared, desperate and all alone. I was homeless at that time and that's when I met Madame Violet. She took me in and that's was how I learned the arts of theatre. I also learned how to master my powers. But deep down I was still alone. So not wanting to be a bad guy I vowed to use my powers for good. But it would seem that not everyone can accept me in the ways I think are most important." Nightshadow explained.
The Rainbooms couldn't help but cry a little. Hearing everything that Nightshadow went through was heartbreaking. It's no wonder why he was trying to help everyone achieve the arts of theatre. All he wanted was a few friends.
"So that's why you didn't harm any of us. You just wanted friends and maybe a lover. You wanted to feel like you belong here with us." Applejack said.
"Yes. But it seems like Rainbow doesn't want me too." Nightshadow replied.
"You don't need to worry about that. Rainbow is getting her punishment as we speak. But we were wondering if there's anyway we can make up for this." Twilight offered.
"Thanks but there's no telling that Rainbow will ruin that too." Octavia said sadly.
"No she won't Octavia. Because we think that you and Nightshadow deserve a night to yourselves. And we swear that we will keep Rainbow from running off to attack him. We promise." Sunset responded.
"Well girls if you make that promise it would be wise to do your best to keep it like you meant it." Nightshadow reminded them.
"We Pinkie Promise! Cross our hearts, hope to die, stick a cupcake in our eye!" Pinkie promised.
Octavia was still upset after everything that has happened. But if the Rainbooms are willing to keep the promise then she took their word for it.
"Ok girls. I trust you. Now please make sure Rainbow doesn't come and ruin this." Octavia said.
"We swear that we will keep Rainbow from ruining another special night with Nightshadow. Now you go have fun and enjoy a nice dinner okay?" Vinyl asked.
Octavia nodded and she and Vinyl hugged. When they separated the Rainbooms all headed inside leaving Nightshadow and Octavia all by themselves.
"So shall we head to dinner my dear?" Nightshadow asked.
"Yes. Let's go. I really need something to eat after all this." Octavia answered.
"Come. I know a good place for dinner." Nightshadow said.
He took her hand and they headed off for dinner.
After a few minutes we see them at this fancy restaurant sitting at a table enjoying their meal. Octavia felt a little better from that. But she can only hope that things will start to return to normal. And hope that Rainbow doesn't come here and ruin the meal. But lucky for her she didn't see any signs of Rainbow.
“Are you feeling better now dear?” Nightshadow asked.
“Yes. I thank you for this meal. That was generous of you Nightshadow. I feel so much better.” Octavia answered.
“Your welcome Octavia. Lemme get you back to the theater.” Nightshadow offered.
So the two left the restaurant and headed straight to the theater. Octavia kissed him on the cheek and went to her room and Nightshadow turned into spiritual energy and returned to his secret lair. Once in there he began to remember the wonderful memories he made with Octavia. But he then remembered that Rainbow was still pissed and thought that he needed to do something about her. He frowned at the thought and became angry.
“Rainbow keeps accusing me of being a bad person. Well you know what? I really didn’t want to do this but she left me no choice. Let it be war upon you.” Nightshadow said.
He went to his stand he saw and grabbed a sword. If he was gonna protect Octavia then he needed to do everything he could to protect her. Even if he needed to be a little…..violent.

Apologies, Forgiveness and A New Foe
Another month has passed and everyone is preparing for their big play. Rarity is working on the costumes, Octavia finished her music thanks to Nightshadow helping, and everyone is helping out by building the set. Now they aren't practicing for the play just yet cause it's still early. As for Rainbow she took long and hard to think of how she messed up big time the past two months and was immediately in regret and guilt. And Octavia's feeling so much better when she heard from the other Rainbooms that Rainbow finally learned the truth about Nightshadow.
In the bedroom we see the Rainbooms and the class as they were planning and discussing something special for him.
"So we all now know that Nightshadow is not quite a evil vampire. I think that we need to plan something special to show him that we want to be friends with him." Twilight said.
"Well I was thinking that we can have him hang out with the guys and see if we have anything in common with him." Flash suggested.
"Sure. Or see if we can get a gift for him since he gave Octavia that necklace. Though I still couldn't believe that he made that through magic." A girl named Trixie said.
"Oh please. I think that we should leave this creep in the dark." A new voice said.
Everyone gasped and turned to the source of the voice. It was a man with teal skin, blonde hair in a bun all messy, magenta eyes, and a picture of two feathers on the shirt. He also wore a black jacket. His name was Zephyr Breeze. Octavia gasped and frowned when she heard him.
"And why would we do that Zephyr?" Octavia asked.
"Because you said he's a vampire. In my opinion a vampire can never really be friendly towards us. And Octavia? I could be wrong but I believe that you were starting to develop feelings for this creature." Zephyr said.
"Zephyr. You know darn well that he's not evil. He was just misunderstood. He's a kind being and we need to thank him for the stuff he did." Octavia replied.
"She's right. Plus even though he killed Blueblood he had a reason." Fleur added.
"Yeah man. And you really don't wanna piss him off again. Blueblood got that fate and you really don't wanna see that happen." Soarin replied.
"And don't even think about trying to flirt with his girl. You do that and he's gonna be extremely pissed." Rumble warned.
"I think you are all bluffing. I think that all this the past two months was an act and nothing tragic really happened." Zephyr denied.
"Are you serious right now? You're acting like nothing has happened. You clearly saw Blueblood die and all the stuff that he did. Why are you trying to act like nothing has happened?" Octavia wondered.
"Because I think that all this that happened was all an act. And besides if you haven't keep rejecting me then none of this would happen." Zephyr said.
"Zephyr you damn know why I kept rejecting you. You were too stubborn to see the very little things in front of you. And I couldn't stand your stubbornness. That and you are clearly unattractive. So I had to do what's right. And you clearly haven't got over me. Deal with it." Octavia responded.
Zephyr could only frowned and made his way out. The others all watched him leave and then turned their attention back to the Rainbooms.
"Thank goodness he's gone. I really hate that guy." Rainbow said in relief.
"What a sore moron. Ok anyways. So what should we plan for Nightshadow?" Soarin asked.
"Well we can all plan a friendship party for him and show him that we want to be friends with him and make him feel like he belongs with us." Fluttershy suggested.
"That's actually a good idea Fluttershy. But who's gonna go get him?" Rara asked.
"Lemme go get him." Rainbow offered.
"And how do we know that you aren't going to beat him up again?" Sunset asked.
"Wait. I actually took some time to think and you were right. All of you. I fucked up big time and I think I should go and apologize to him and make amends. I owe him a big apology." Rainbow said.
Everyone took some time to think about what she said and if she really wanted to apologize then they would know. After a few minutes they had an answer.
"Ok Rainbow. Go find him and apologize. But if under any circumstances that you attack him one more time then things will get ugly." Octavia warned.
"Noted. I learned that the hard way. I'll go find him." Rainbow said sheepishly.
So Rainbow took off and went to go look for Nightshadow and apologize while everyone else was preparing for the friendship party.
She finally arrived at the giant mirror as it slowly slid open, a mist swirls from within, and out came Nightshadow. He saw Rainbow and wondered what she was doing here.
"Hello Nightshadow." Rainbow started.
"Rainbow Dash. I see you came alone. You didn't come to beat me up again have you?" Nightshadow asked.
"No not this time. Lemme say what I can here to say. I know we got off on the wrong foot when we met and things were said that shouldn't have been said. I want to apologize for being a total grade A asshole to you." Rainbow confessed.
"That's... That's wonderful that you want to apologize. In fact it was all I was waiting to hear." Nightshadow smiled.
"I know. And I swear to never hurt you again for I totally now understand your true potential. The girls told me that you had a bad childhood and you were only trying to make friends. I should have been supporting you the whole time but I didn't. And I'm so very sorry for being a jerk to you. I hope you forgive me." Rainbow worried.
Nightshadow smiled as he sees Rainbow finally learning her lesson and he hugged her as a way of saying he forgives her.
"I forgive you Rainbow. So why is it that you came to get me?" Nightshadow asked.
"Well everyone is planning a little friendship party for you. And I thought I come to get you so you can join us. Do you wanna join?" Rainbow asked.
"Sure. It's the least I can do." Nightshadow answered.
Rainbow smiled and led him to the party. After a few minutes they arrived and everyone cheered at his arrival. Then the party truly began. We see many of the Canterlot High students enjoying a drink and talking to each other sharing conservations. Even Nightshadow joined in and started to socialize with the gang. He even hanged out with Flash and his crew for some guy time. And he even joined Rara and her friends on discussing some songs she can sing later on when she performs a show. This lasted for a while til Nightshadow and Octavia met once more and held each other close and looked in each other's eyes. Everyone smiled at this romantic scene.
"Thank you for joining us Nightshadow." Octavia smiled.
"Your welcome dear." Nightshadow replied.
“Oh how touching!” A voice said
Everyone gasped, as they turned quickly toward the entrance of the hallway. Zephyr Breeze himself strolled in, with a wicked smile on his face.
“I always cry at joyful parties,” He said sarcastically.
"Who is that guy?" Nightshadow asked.
"That's Zephyr. The creepiest guy and stalker of the whole school." Octavia answered.
"Then it's a good thing I brought my sword. Octavia stay with me and don't run." Nightshadow said.
Octavia nodded and she stayed with Nightshadow as he prepared to draw out his sword. Zephyr smirked and kept walking.
"Oh look at that. She has found her prince charming. How adorable is that?" Zephyr mocked.
Everyone else looked at him angrily, as he slowly approached.
“Our young lovers, together at last. Surely now they can live happily ever after. But you forget… she’s still my girl and mine alone for the taking!”
Zephyr roughly yanked Octavia back to his side, slowly backing away.
“I’ll not leave here empty handed!” He growled.
Nightshadow saw Octavia in trouble and unleashed his sword of spirit energy.
"Let her go you creep! I already dealt with the nastiness of Blueblood and I will face you too!" Nightshadow yelled.
"Oh really? So you wanna fight is that it?" Zephyr asked as he saw a sword on the wall and grabbed it. He then placed it across Octavia's neck as she gasped while her friends watched.
"Is he insane?! Let her go Zephyr!" Vinyl shouted.
"Never! Not until I rid of this freakish vampire and win her heart so I can finally have a soulmate!!" Zephyr said.
Then a rainbow blur came and hit him in the back of the head causing him to loosen his grip and and got punched in the face. Rainbow was the one to attack him. But then as she was about to land another punch Zephyr used his sword and slashed Rainbow in the back making her yell in pain and fell to the ground. The Rainbooms gasped seeing that.
"RAINBOW!!" They yelled in unison.
They all went to Rainbow and checked on her to see if she was gonna be okay. Nightshadow witnessed the whole thing and when he turned back to Zephyr he growled and his blood began to boil.
"You just made a grave mistake beehive. You threatened to force Octavia into a relationship. Now you injured Rainbow. That really pisses me off. Now you will face my full wrath and I will dispose your life!!!" Nightshadow declared pointing the sword at him.
Then everyone got ready to see the fight of Nightshadow and Zephyr Breeze. And most of them hoped that Nightshadow will win. Octavia is counting on him.

For the longest period of time we see Nightshadow and Zephyr in their battle positions ready to fight. Nightshadow was clearly upset with Zephyr for trying to force Octavia into a relationship and Zephyr is upset for ruining his chance to get a girl. Nightshadow wasn't going to have Zephyr get away with it.
"I warn you Zephyr. Get your filthy hands off of Octavia or face the consequences." Nightshadow warned.
Zephyr then released her and groaned in annoyance.
“Do I have to kill you too?” He asked.
Rather than answering a sword battle began as Nightshadow charged into battle and slashed Zephyr's chest making him yell in pain. He growled in anger and tried to fight back but Nightshadow was ready as he thrust his sword forward, the silver hilt resembling a skull and the light gleamed off it in an evil manner. Zephyr blocked the blow, but each powerful lunge, he backed away. Soon he was against a wall, about to fall over. He slashed at Nightshadow, who dodged and swung his cloak over the wall, jumping off, and landing upon the ground making Zephyr trapped in a corner.
"You give up? Or you thirsty for more?" Nightshadow asked.
"No way vampire!! I will vanquish you in the light!!" Zephyr yelled.
They began another sword battle and they were really going at it. But Nightshadow wouldn't back down as he continued to take out Zephyr. He used his powers and levatated him off the ground and threw him to a wall as he groaned in pain and slowly got out.
"Ok. Not a bad move but I'm still going to win and earn her heart!! So spare yourself the trouble and give up." Zephyr replied.
"Never Zephyr. If anyone should give up it's you. You are not earning Octavia's heart and you won't be creeping up on girls anymore." Nightshadow said.
"Whatever! You can't tell me what to do old man!" Zephyr yelled.
"Actually I can. Because I know something that you don't." Nightshadow said.
"What's that?" Zephyr asked.
"Vampires have more than one ability. They have speed, strength and immortality." Nightshadow smirked.
And like that he boosted his speed and began attacking Zephyr so fast that he can't see where Nightshadow is coming from. He felt lots of punches to his face and he groaned in pain from each one he took. This continued on til after 2 hours Zephyr was all bruised and in pain. Then Nightshadow delivered a final punch to the back of his head and he went flying and slammed face first into the wall and he rolled back to Nightshadow on the ground. He struggled trying to pick himself up when suddenly Nightshadow grabbed him by the hair.
"Ow man! Now you done it! Now I'll never get a girl in this condition!!" Zephyr cried.
"Guess what Zephyr? I'm not letting you creep on any girl. And you certainly are not earning anyone's heart. The only thing that you are earning is a punishment for your actions." Nightshadow replied.
He then flew in the air with Zephyr in his grasp as he screamed in terror and everyone looked up seeing him scream like a baby.
"No no no! What are you doing?! Lemme down!" Zephyr yelled.
"Tell me this Zephyr. Why do you think that creeping up on girls is a way for you to get a lover when clearly it isn't?" Nightshadow asked.
"Uhh.....because I thought that they can't resist my charm?" Zephyr nervously said.
"Lies. You have no charms. You are unclean and you have no manners. So maybe you oughta think about getting all of that. The next time you actually want to earn a girl the right way. But til then......this is your punishment." Nightshadow replied.
He released Zephyr as he screamed in terror falling down. He landed on the floor on his arm first breaking it has he yelled in pain. He tried getting up but he can't. Then he saw everyone and Nightshadow coming to him and he drawer out his sword and pointed at him in anger. It was at this point Zephyr realized he was completely outmatched…
“Touche, everyone,” Zephyr replied, smugly.
"It's over Zephyr. Your days of creeping up on girls are over. You're through. Give it up." Nightshadow said.
"Oh I'm quitting now. Since you broke my arm I give up. But don't think that you haven't seen the last of me. I might have failed to win Rainbow's heart but I won't rest til I have gotten a lover." Zephyr stated.
Tired of hearing him run his mouth all day Nightshadow had an idea. Using his magic he conjured a bottle of special soda and when Zephyr saw that he stopped his speech.
"Is that soda?" Zephyr asked.
"Yes. Would you like a drink?" Nightshadow wondered.
"You know what? After fighting you and losing I think a drink would be nice." Zephyr said taking a cup and Nightshadow poured some blue soda in there.
"Now before I have this. I just wanna remind you this vampire. You may have bested me and broke my arm but no matter where you go and no matter where you sleep I will not rest til I get a lover and you won't have anyone. And til that day happens I intend to do what I like best." Zephyr finished.
And like that he sipped down the soda down his throat til he reached the last drop. Sighing, he hurled the mug aside and as it clattered against the floor, the group watched as he took his leave. But seeing as the ‘type’ of soda he just had, a confident smirk returned to Octavia’s lips. For just as the man turned to leave, he stopped… clutched his head as he groaned loudly as he got a huge headache. Even Rainbow looked very pleased.
“Not anymore…” She said sinisterly.
After a few seconds of moaning and groaning, Zephyr turned around with watery eyes and his face turned red and his allergies were acting up really bad. He then started sneezing a lot.
"What the....ACHOO!!! What was in that soda?!" Zephyr yelled.
"That was my Soda of a Thousand Allergies. It makes anyone have really bad allergies and not feel good. I heard that you were Fluttershy's brother and since I did not want to kill you for you are a family member this is a good enough punishment for you." Nightshadow explained.
"Oh you rotten son of a...... ACHOO!!! I can't believe I fell for that trick! I gotta get some allergy medicine and....ACHOO!! I will get you back for this vampire! I will be ba..ba..ba...ACHOO!!!" Zephyr said sneezing.
He opened the door and walked out sneezing like crazy and just like that… Zephyr Breeze was gone, never to creep on another girl again and everyone cheered for his victory against the pervert. Octavia went to him and wrapped her arms around him and he did the same. The Rainbooms all went to Nightshadow and smiled at him.
“Well… let’s see how he likes it,” Rarity smiled.
"He's gonna have a bad allergy day for sure." Rainbow joked. "Thanks Nightshadow. That was funny of you to trick Zephyr into drinking that stuff that made him have bad allergies."
"Thanks. I know that I killed Blueblood back then. But I can't lower myself to kill a family member. So a little allergy attack is a good enough punishment for Zephyr." Nightshadow replied.
"Yes. Now that all this is over and you have some friends what should we do now?" Octavia asked.
"Easy my dear. Remember the music we finished together? I say it's time for your play to commence. Everyone it's time for one final show in Manehattan Theater! So let's make this count!!" Nightshadow declared.
Everyone agreed and cheered hearing that it was time for the beat performance that all of Manehattan saw. Get ready for a sold out show and to experience the music!!

The Vampire Prince of the Night
It was the final month of them being here at the Manehattan Theater. And Nightshadow was helping everyone get ready for their big performance before they leave. And thanks to Nightshadow's music writing and helping Octavia they all decided to perform one of the biggest and most famous musicals of all time: The Phantom of the Opera. And we see everyone ready for the big show. Nightshadow was dressed as the Phantom, Rarity was playing Christine, her boyfriend Spike was Raoul, and everyone else has a part to play.
Octavia was about to open the show with an opener. And she was wearing a lovely violet dress with black lining around the neckline and the midsection. There were two violet sleeves along her arms, with puffy white cuffs at the end. She truly was radiant for this night and feels confident.
"Octavia. Are you ready for tonight?" Nightshadow asked.
"Yes. I'm more than ready. Let's make this show the grandest one of them all." Octavia smiled.
"That's what I like hearing. Now get on stage and shine like the star you are!" Nightshadow encouraged.
The rumble of the applause is heard signaling Octavia's cue to go onstage. Everyone looked on from the side, hidden partially by the curtain, as Octavia made her presence felt, the spotlight illuminated her dress which sparkled due to the stars on her dress. The orchestra prepares to pick up a beat, as Octavia takes a deep breath and the audience brace themselves.

The crowd erupts into cheers as Octavia gracefully bows before the public’s eye and turns to the side as her friends applaud to her. She makes her exit off the stage and wraps her arms around her friends, with a tear-filled hug.
"Tavi! You never disappoint the audience with your wonderful singing!!" Vinyl smiled.
"Thanks Vinyl. I really appreciate that." Octavia said.
"Now it's our turn to perform. And Nightshadow? Just remember that Rarity's my girlfriend. I know were performing and you have to kiss in it but just know she's my girl." Spike replied.
"Of course Spike. I wouldn't dare steal your girlfriend away. So let's make this the grandest and most beautiful musical in the history of theatre." Nightshadow said.
"You read my mind. Let's do this." Spike smiled.
Then, the actual show could finally proceed. The orchestra begins to play, the conductor was conducting them artfully. The music was quick paced and mysterious, so fast the actors jogged to get on stage, all dress in their costumes and ready to perform.
During the performance we see Octavia watching it from backstage and couldn't help but smile at his talent. Especially when he was singing the Music of the Night. Then the Rainbooms came and noticed her reaction.
"You love him don't you?" Sunset teased.
"Well yes. After all those months we spent how could I not love him? He's kind, gentle, sweet and quite handsome." Octavia answered.
"Why don't you go talk to him?" Twilight offered.
"I can't. The show is still going. And I don't wanna embarrass myself by doing that." Octavia worried.
"She didn't mean during the show. She meant after it's done. We know you were in love with him. So now seems like a perfect time to confess." Fluttershy explained.
Octavia knew they were right. She did love him and after the show she will confess her love for him.
"Ok. I shall confess after the show. He needs to know as soon as possible." Octavia answered.
The girls smiled seeing that Octavia will soon be confessing her love for Nightshadow. After a few hours the show ended and everyone on staged bowed and the audience clapped for a wonderful performance and to remember the famous musical back in the day. And once everyone went backstage and the audience left we see Nightshadow taking off his Phantom costume and saw Octavia coming to him.
"Hey Nightshadow. You were really great out there tonight." Octavia praised.
"So were you Octavia. No one can sing and open the show so beautiful like you." Nightshadow said.
"Thanks. Hey Nightshadow? Can you meet me at the front of the Manehattan Theater? There's something I wish to tell you." Octavia asked.
"Sure. I'll be out there." Nightshadow answered.
Octavia smiled as she changed out of her dress and back into her regular clothes. Then we cut to Nightshadow coming out of the theater and looking for Octavia. He then spots her and went to her and they looked in each other's eyes.
"So Octavia? What was it that you wanted to say?" Nightshadow asked.
"Well...these last few months were wonderful. And I felt like me and you really made a special bond during our time. You were kind, gentle, sweet, and quite handsome. Even though you killed Blueblood you still showed that you were a kind soul and not an evil person. I can't thank you enough for everything you done for me and everyone else." Octavia started.
"You're very welcome. I only wanted the best for you and your friends." Nightshadow smiled.
"Clearly. And I have something to confess. During these months I felt something powerful in my chest. Something that you wanted for a long time since you came here. And I developed that for a while now. Nightshadow what I'm trying to say is..... I love you." Octavia confessed.
Nightshadow was shocked at her words and began to cry tears of joy.
"That's... That's wonderful Octavia. In fact I love you too. When we met I couldn't stop thinking about you. You were like the angel from Heaven that was sent down to protect me and help me feel the friendship I couldn't do years ago. And now that you said that you love me makes it all so much better. So Octavia? Will you be my girlfriend?" Nightshadow asked.
"Nightshadow. Yes. YES I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!" Octavia cried happy.
She ran to him and hugged him so tight and Nightshadow rubbed her back and calmed her down. Then she looked in his eyes and closed them while puckering her lips and he did the same. Then like a fairytale ending they finally have their first kiss. And after that they separated and Octavia lays her head on Nightshadow's neck, while watching behind was everyone in the theater who couldn't stop seeing them so happy together.
"Proud of you Tavi. I knew you had the courage to confess your love for Nightshadow. And now you are his girl." Vinyl smiled.
"Oh this is quite a romantic scene I could watch over and over again. The love of a musician and a vampire. It's beautiful." Fancy commented.
"Me too Fancy. Though Twilight? Can we do something for Nightshadow now that he has a lover now?" Fleur asked.
"You know what yes. All he wanted was friends and love. Now that he has it I'm thinking it's time we bring him to Canterlot City where he and Octavia can be together forever. It's time for him to come out of the lonely darkness and into the light." Twilight declared.
Everyone agreed at her response and smiled.
"Good idea Twilight. But how can we help him get there? Won't the sun burn his skin?" Flash wondered.
"Yes. But luckily I was able to make a special necklace for him that will prevent him from getting a terrible sunburn. Come everyone it's time we pack up and in the morning on the bus we give him our surprise." Twilight explained.
Everyone agreed and cheered as they went to their room and packed all their bags and waited til tomorrow to give him the best surprise they have. Back with Octavia and Nightshadow they held hand and went inside the theater to rest up for tomorrow and knew that they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend now.

A New Future for a Vampire
The final week of the finally month passed and we see everyone getting on to the buses and were about to head back home. With Octavia and Nightshadow they were saying their final words before she had to leave. And since it was daytime Nightshadow wore the special necklace that Twilight made so his skin won't burn to a crisp in daylight. And he hasn't noticed it at all.
"Well this is it I guess." Nightshadow replied.
"Yeah. Even though were dating now I still have to return to Canterlot City. But I promise to come and visit when I can." Octavia said.
"I know you will keep that promise. So thank you for coming here to learn about the magic of theatre. And I hope to see you around my angel." Nightshadow said.
But when he was about to head inside.....
"Whoa hang on Nightshadow! Where do you think you're going?" Flash asked.
"I'm going back in the theater, to my lair. No one really can accept me for a vampire. Even if I'm dating the most beautiful musician in the world." Nightshadow said sadly.
"Well that is gonna change Nightshadow. I received word from the students that they want you joining them back in Canterlot City. They want to be friends with you. And as for Octavia she would love nothing more than to have you staying with her in the city." Celestia replied.
Nightshadow couldn't believe his eyes. They all wanted Nightshadow to join them in the city and they want to be friends with him.
"You...you did all this for me?" Nightshadow asked.
"Yes darling. You've been in the dark for too long and we want to bring you in the light. Come join us and you'll have the best live with us." Fleur answered.
"Yeah! Come aboard man!" Flash begged.
Soon everyone cheered and chanted for Nightshadow to join them on the bus. Nightshadow was so happy that he now has friends and a lover at last. For him to receive such special treatment was a dream come true for him. Then he smiled and responded.
"Wait right here!" Nightshadow replied.
He turned into spirit energy and and went down to his lair and packed everything he needed. Like his art collection, his quill and paper, the candles, and even his favorite blanket on the bed. He then returned with all his stuff packed and everyone started getting giddy as they knew what he was gonna say.
"You got room on the bus? I'm coming to the city!" Nightshadow replied.
Then everyone cheered and Celestia let Nightshadow on the bus. Once on he placed his bags in the back of the bus and sat down in an empty seat. Then Octavia came in and saw her boyfriend and went to the seat he was in and sat down next to him and wrapped her arm around him.
"Nightshadow. I'm so happy that you are going to be staying with me in Canterlot City. Now we'll never be apart again." Octavia smiled.
"Me too Octavia. And I'm glad that I now have friends and you. I love you Octavia Melody." Nightshadow said.
"I love you too my vampire prince." Octavia responded.
Then they shared another passionate kiss and everyone adored the scene and then faced Principal Celestia for her final announcement before they head home.
"I hope everyone had a wonderful experience at the Manehattan Theater. And I officially like to welcome Nightshadow to our family at Canterlot City." Celestia started as everyone clapped.
"Just keep in mind that in the very near future you might like to be a stage performer or director for when you grown up and step into life on your own one day. Well I'm glad everyone got to experience the wonders of theatre. But like all field trips this has to come to an end. But don't worry there will be more in the future. Now let's head home." Celestia finished.
"And Nightshadow? That necklace I gave you is to prevent you from getting sunburn and you don't have to worry about being alone anymore." Twilight said.
"Thanks Twilight. Though are you sure that everyone in Canterlot City will accept me for who I am?" Nightshadow asked.
"We promise. They will accept you. And we all promise to make sure that you get all the love and friendship you need. So welcome to the family and we hope you enjoy your new life in Canterlot City." Sunset assured.
Nightshadow smiled and Octavia pulled him in for one final kiss before the bus began moving.
Celestia sat down in a seat and the bus began moving and Octavia and Nightshadow both hugged each other and we zoom out seeing the buses heading back to Canterlot City. Knowing that Nightshadow will be living there too things were gonna be happy and different for him and his new lover. And that my friends ends this romantic tale how Octavia and Nightshadow got together and how a Peacelighter vampire can be friendly if you gave him a chance.
