Intro Part 1: The Story So Far
The Butterfly Effect...despite the name, it has nothing to do with an actual butterfly. It is a phenomon that occurs when the smallest change can lead to a domino effect that can change the course of history.
And one such change has caused the biggest, most drastic change that has ever been observed.
When Rainbow Dash pulled off the Sonic Rainboom during a race in order to defend Fluttershy, it had caused her future friends to all get their cutie marks at the exact same time. That much we all know for a fact. We also know for a fact, it was thanks to this Sonic Rainboom that Twilight was able to hatch Spike from the dragon egg presented to her for the entrance exam to Princess Celestia's school for gifted unicorns.
However, Spike's egg wasn't the only one that was hatched at this time. Smolder's egg had ended up close to where Rarity had been led by her magic, and the dragoness was hatched at the same time as Spike. Rarity ended up convincing her parents to adopt the baby dragoness as a second sister, and this would have implications later on when Twilight and Spike would end up at Ponyville for the one thousandth Summer Sun Celebration.
As thanks to this change, Spike would become enamered by Smolder, and thanks to to the purple dragon's inherit nature and drive to protect those he cares about like a true knight thanks to Twilight's biological brother Shining Armor, Smolder would end up enamared by Spike when the Purple Dragon protected the Orange Dragoness when Nightmare Moon cast a spell towards the dragoness but Spike would protect Smolder using a table.
Smolder wasn't the only change brought to Ponyville however. A man known as Gareth had been reborn as a black unicorn called White Flame and had tranferred to Ponyville Elementrary, setting up further dominos to tumble where the newly dubbed White Flame would cause changes to occur between Sweetie Belle, Button Mash, Scootaloo, and Rumble. That's saying nothing of White Flame's growing romance with Apple Bloom.
And yet, White Flame's past as Gareth has come back with a vengence: Zanth; a being brought on because of Gareth's mistreatment in his past life which lead to much pain and anguish; followed Gareth to this version of the MLP:FiM world. And what's more, it has become clear that this MLP:FiM world was once the very world where Gareth was put under so much mistreatment, that his pain and anguish allowed Zanth to be born.
Most recently, the Usurper Changeling Queen known as Chrysalis was defeated and punished for her crimes, but during the scuffle that ended the tyrant, Zanth had shown up, only to be launched away by an explosion caused by Wildson Mondoli. So Zanth is still at large.
More things are to be revealed, and more secrets will be unearthed. Especially since it seems that Spike's new friend in Dragon Lord Ember, has something to tell the purple dragon. How will Spike react to what Ember has to say? What will happen with Zanth? And will White Flame's past life as Gareth end up being a blessing instead of a curse?
All these answers and more will come.

Intro Part 2: Opening Shots
It's a seemingly normal day in Ponyville.
Right now, Spike & Smolder are doing some plans for something to come in a couple of months. It's something they want to be a big surprise. And they've been very careful about it too. Not even Pinkie Pie knows what's coming when Starlight, Trixie, Discord, and King Thorax are to be presented with the Hearts of Courage on Hearth's Warming's Eve.
Meanwhile, Twilight is having a date with Flash Sentry at the nearby hayburger cafe, while the CMC is at their clubhouse working on certain things. "The way I see it, if you and Silver Spoon want to pitch in, we could use more eyes and ears out on the town to see if there are more cutie mark problems." White Flame was saying to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "It'd give you two some experience before you do anything more substantial."
Also elsewhere, Rainbow Dash was enjoying some time with Soarin; her own coltfriend; while the two were doing some Shadowbolts stuff. "So we're in agreement then? For our next show, we really emphasize the new tricks we've been working on and really sell our brand?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"That is indeed the case." Soarin said. "Look at us, we're in agreement." he side hugged his marefriend, causing Rainbow Dash to just blush.
Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie was having great fun just in general with a visiting Cheese Sandwhich, meanwhile the cakes were dealing with the twins. Again. "It's nice to see Pinkie Pie having her own potential suiter. But perhaps maybe he'd be willing to help out with the foals sometime soon..." Mrs. Cake said.
"Tell me about it. It's difficult keeping up with both a pegasus AND a unicorn for twins." Mr. Cake said.
Blueblood and Derpy were up in Canterlot at the Parish District again, looking for more things from when White Flame was Gareth. "We've found a lot of artifacts, but I'm still wondering how exactly the ponies who lived here got the way they are." Blueblood said.
"You mean bloodlusty?" Derpy asked.
"I'm not even sure if that's even a word." Blueblood said. "But it would be accurate."
"Prince Blueblood; one of the excevators just yelled at one of the guards when they dropped their coffee." A guard said.
"...And on that note, pack it up for a bit. We need a break. There's obviously something about this district that makes people loose their sanity." Blueblood said.
"Now I'm really glad you convinced Princess Celestia to look after Dinky while we did some more exploring. I doubt a child could handle this place for long." Derpy said.
"That's exactly why I didn't want to take the risk." Blueblood said.
Still in Canterlot, Rarity had been checking in on her store there, when she came across an old photo ablem. With Sassy Saddles handling the store, Rarity would go back to Ponyville and spend some much needed time with her pony sister.
Little did every pony realize however, peace was about to become broken in ways no one would expect. A tyrant known as the Storm King was leading his forces to Canterlot, ready to enslave the ponies to his iron fisted rule. And he wasn't coming alone: Zanth was with him. It was clear as day, that the peace Equestria was experiencing right now, would be upended once the Storm King came knocking.
But for now, the equestrians have no clue that their peace is fixing to be threatened...

Chapter 1: Brewing Romances
Twilight and Flash Sentry were at Ponyville's Hayburger joint. "I'm so glad to have a day like today where there's nothing that desires my direct attention." Twilight said.
"Heh. It helps that every pony is still recovering from what we witnessed back at the Changeling HIve." Flash Sentry said.
"You mean watching Wildson Mondoli and the tyrant Chrysalis turn to dust before our very eyes?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah. That." Flash said. "Ever feel like things can get hectic sometimes around Ponyville? Because ever since transferring here, there hasn't been many off days."
"Did you seriously think I was joking about there being a monster attack every week?" Twilight asked.
"Actually, I'm half-glad there is one. At least then, things don't get too mundane around here." Flash said. "Then again, the last week in particular has been totally insane."
"Well to be fair, all of Equestria got affected by Chrysalis's plot of kidnapping every pony possible." Twilight said.
"...True that." Flash said. "What do you say after we finish eating, we spend some time outside the castle for the rest of the day if possible?"
Twilight smiled. "I think I'd like that." Twilight said.
"Never really been much for dogs." White Flame said. "I don't outright hate them, but I do know I've never been a dog person."
"Yeah, we know. Your much more of a snake person." Scootaloo said.
"Seriously going to miss Carol scaring the pants out of the foals who didn't know." Diamond Tiara said. "...It's so wierd, I sometimes really expect her to just slither up to me right about now and make me scream 'SNAKE!' at the top of my lungs."
"I just...I really don't know if I can replace Carol. She's just...too near and dear to my heart." White Flame said.
"And if you ask me, that's okay. It makes Carol that much more unique." Diamond Tiara said.
"Whoa. Hold the phone. Did Diamond Tiara just say something that's both good and actually profound?" Scootaloo asked.
"...Hey! Now that's just rude." Diamond Tiara said.
"Ya really didn't need to go there, Scoots." Apple Bloom said.
Scootaloo wilted. "...I'm now expecting my adoptive mother Rainbow Dash to swoop in and grill me, or Smolder grills me. One of the two." Scootaloo said.
"...Smolder grilling every pony because of something like what you just did, does seem to be a re-accuring pattern huh?" Silver Spoon asked. "But part of me wonders if she's going to lecture some pony else today."
"...What, you mean Rarity?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Exactly." Silver Spoon said.
"...Why do I want to agree with that?" Sweetie Belle asked. "I don't know why I want to, but I do."
Back with Twilight and Flash, the two ponies were enjoying the nice weather outside; having a nice time together just in general. Eventually, the sun began to set, so, the two ponies were soon heading back inside the castle, where they saw Spike trying to use smelling salts on a fainted Smolder. "...Mind telling me what exactly happened to her?" Twilight asked.
"So, funny story, Smolder was all good and ready to give Rarity a lecture because of the way she was treating Sweetie Belle, only for Sweetie Belle to give her a realization by solving a cutie mark problem involving a pony viewing a grown up dog as the same puppy he grew up with and not really doing anything more grown up with said dog." Spike said. "As soon as Sweetie Belle sent the message home to the colt, Rarity realized her own mistake, and the two went to do something more grown-up together. And I think it broke Smolder."
Twilight just laughed. "...What's so funny about what Spike just said?" Flash asked.
"Oh nothing really. It's just nice to know that despite how things are changing around Ponyville, that some things are remaining the same, such as Smolder wanting to give some pony a lecture." Twilight said.
"I guess that is a fair point. Sad thing is, this time Smolder had her job done for her and I don't think she is able to process that right now." Flash said.
"Well, the more things change, the more they stay the same." Twilight said.
"Thanks for letting me and my nephew stay over while the house gets rebuilt. Ugh...this is the first time I wasn't careful with my blacksmithing since I was White Flame's age." White Flame's uncle said.
"It's no big deal, really." Applejack said. "Besides, I wanted to talk to you about White Flame. As it's pretty obvious that he's getting serious with Apple Bloom, and they ain't kids no more."
"Oi, tell me about it. And before you bring it up, I always did suspect that White Flame had more knowledge in him then he let on around the house." White Flame's Uncle said. "But I'm more surprised that you want to talk about this, and not you know, Apple Bloom's actual mother." Applejack suddenly gained a grim look. "Oh...oh did I just bring up a sore subject? I'm guessing Apple Bloom's mother is dead, huh?" The uncle backed off.
"Not...really. More like assumed dead. She and pa have been gone for goin' on ten years now." Applejack said. "And with this much time having passed, I ain't expecting them to show up."
"...Makes me wonder if they got caught up in something major. Buck, I'd wager they may even be imprisoned by some evil tyrant or something." Whtie Flame's uncle said.
"Part of me hopes that, if they are still alive, they have some sort of explination. Apple Bloom was still in diapers when they vanished." Applejack said.
"...Oof. I can't imagine how that feels. Maybe that's why she's connecting so well with White Flame. Sure, White Flame has new parents now, but...from everything he has told me...it's easy to see that his past life still has value to him." White Flame's uncle said.
"...That's a mighty fair point. White Flame and Apple Bloom...two ponies united by the loss of the ones they knew: White Flame's social status that created Zanth, and Apple Bloom's parents." Applejack said.
Meanwhile...in an uknown location, the camera was viewing two trees in the Everfree Forest for some reason. And it was viewing these two trees for quite some time as night began to fall across Equestria.

Could I be hinting at something? I may or may not. I will neither confirm nor deny anything at this time. Could be a hint, could be me being random. You just won't know until I do something with this. If I do at all that is.

This chapter contains no ponies; only animals. All animal chatter is being translated into English. Just know that under normal circumstances, these animals would NOT be speaking English. I'm only translating the animal chatter into english for this one chapter.
...Also, holy smokes. I just realized that I never did do what I'm about to do within the original story. Time to fix that!
Chapter 2: Bunny Love
Angel was frustrated to say the least. At least, in terms of attention getting. He was thumping his foot on Fluttershy's wooden floorboards in pure frustrated. A female brown rabbit suddenly came up behind him and started massaging his shoulders.
"Feeling overshadowed because of those two dragons?" The bunny rabbit asked.
"Am I being that obvious?" Angel asked.
"From how much you're thumping your foot against the floor, I'd say yes." The brown rabbit pointed out.
"At least you care enough." Angel said.
"Why wouldn't I?" The brown rabbit asked.
"...I guess I'm still getting used to genuine care from a female rabbit being thrown my way." Angel said.
"Heh. So you told me." The brown rabbit simply stated. "Do you recall the day we met?" She asked.
"How could I forget?" Angel asked.
During the events of the Crystal Empire...
Angel was doing his usual thing of making sure the animals were in line while Fluttershy was away, though suddenly a female bunny came running out of the Everfree Forest followed by three Timberwolves.
"Now here's something you don't see everyday: Timberwolves running out of Everfree Forest." Angel said. "Fluttershy would never believe this."
The female bunny suddenly seemed trapped by the timberwolves, but that's when something unexpected happened: When one timberwolf lunged at her, she suddenly kicked it into one of the other ones, destroying them both. The sole survivor then quickly ran back into the forest from where it came, clearly scared for it's life.
"...Well that was certainly not something I've ever seen." Angel said as he approuched the female bunny. "Hello there."
The female bunny said nothing. She just looked at him with a glare. That's when Harry came up behind Angel. "Angel, did you put hot sauce in my water bowl again?!" Harry said.
"...Hold that thought." Angel said before he suddenly jumped up and did a back kick on Harry; sending the bear falling backwards.
"Ow...so much ow..." Harry said.
The female rabbit was suddenly no longer glaring at Angel. "Sorry about that. Harry gets real rowdy just because he has hot water instead of normal water. Not my problem that he doesn't drink it while it's cold in this heat." Angel said.
"...Butterscotch." The female rabbit said.
"...Pardon?" Angel was confused.
"My name is Butterscotch. That's the answer to your question from before." The brown rabbit said.
"Well it's nice to meet you Butterscotch. Name's Angel." Angel said.
"That's ironic if you ask me. Your anything but." Butterscotch said.
"Forgive me for asking more quesitons, but why were those Timberwolves chasing you?" Angel ask.
"Because they always do. I've learnt to deal. It's never anything I can't handle." Butterscotch said. "I've lived in the Everfree Forest my entire life. I have no reason to change that. I don't expect us to meet again. Farewell." Butterscotch said.
Present day...
"Ah how naive I was to say I didn't expect us to meet again. Because we did. In the most unexpected way." Butterscotch said.
"Heh. You don't need to remind me." Angel said proudly.
The day after Checker's appearance
Angel had decided that he was going to explore the Everfree forest today. Get away from all the crazy of Ponyville. That's when he heard lots of Timberwolf snarls. He quickly came across a whole hoard of Timberwolves all surrounding a very familiar brown rabbit.
"Butterscotch!" Angel said before he jumped in, noticing her getting winded.
"Angel?! What in all greenery are you doing here?" Butterscotch asked.
"Now's not the time!" Angel said. Together, the two bunnies managed to get through the hoard. But there were more Timberwolves coming.
"Great...it seems the entire forest's timberwolves are after me this time..." Butterscotch said.
"We're getting out of here." Angel said, and grabbed Butterscotch's paw and started running.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Butterscotch exclaimed.
"Getting you out of here." Angel said.
It didn't take long for the two to make it to Fluttershy's cottage; both bunnies seriously out of breath. "You really didn't...have to do that...you know..." Butterscotch said.
"Couldn't just leave you behind. I may be tough, but I'd never leave a fellow bunny behind." Angel said. "There are Bunny Burrows nearby. You can live in them. It'd be nice to have a bunny like you around."
"...You know what? I suppose I could stay. And I was wrong when I said your name was ironic. You really are an angel in bunny form. And that's me being honest." Butterscotch said before she bounced away.
"...They all say that..." Angel said.
Present day
"Of course, little did I realize that unlike every other rabbit doe I've come across, you'd be different. You'd actually give me genuine compliments like that all the time. And we really hit it off." Angel said.
"What can I say? I think I fell for you that day you booked me out of that forest." Butterscotch said. "But I'm a tough bun. I never say something unless I genuially mean it."
"Yeah. I realize that now. I'm just sad that I'm getting a little upstaged though." Angel said.
"Hey, if those two dragons have been in love for as long as you've said they have been, then be more considerate. They were made for each other. You should be glad for them." Butterscotch said.
"As usual, you are so right." Angel said. "As long as I know I've got you, I'll be good to go."
"...So, no more frustration?" Butterscotch asked because Angel had stopped thumping the floor.
"...Not when I've got you close by." Angel said.
"Angel; did you put hot sauce in my water dish AGAIN!?" Harry suddenly roared out.
"...I'll be right back." Angel said before he bounced off towards Harry.
"Gotta admit, that bunny is one of a kind." Butterscotch said. "...Wonder if I should ask him if he wants to breed tomorrow, or wait until after the wedding? I should wait until after the wedding. Be something we could really do to celebrate~"

Chapter 4: Prologue to Darkness
Author's Note
This chapter takes place a few months after A Draconic Hearth's Warming and thus, happens towards the end of what would be season 7. There's not much I can change about the last three seasons of the cartoon, outside of you know, not making Cozy Glow Evil. Which is the plan here. Because honestly, I never liked that sudden shift. And this isn't really the kind of story series that would showcase how more screen time for Cozy Glow would ultimately effect how much better that would do if she was evil. I will eventually make an alternate universe fanfic where Cozy Glow will still be evil yet have much more screen time, but that fanfic is not this one.
Chapter 4: Prologue to Darkness
The Parish District. It's now a sanctioned off part of Canterlot. It was where Flash Sentry had grown up in and managed to survive long enough to become a member of the royal guard.
And as it just so happens, the Parish District was built on top of the neighborhood where White Flame's past life as Gareth had lived. What's more, the ghosts of that neighborhood were the reason the Parish District Ponies had become bloodthirsty and unfriendly.
"White Flame did warn us that should Zanth obtain the Heart of Despair, then Zanth will have enough power to warp reality to his desires." Blueblood said as he led a team of excavation experts around the old neighborhood. "So how much you want to bet, that the very object Zanth craves was under his nose the entire time he was here?"
"I suppose such a thing could be possible. I'm more concerned over the lack of communication from Queen Nova of the Sea Griffons. She and I were quite close indeed." Celestia said.
"I almost wonder if something is going on south of Equestria's borders. And that worries me." Blueblood said. "But I don't want to leave any stone unturned here either."
Meanwhile on board the Storm King's own personal vessel, the tyrant in question was suddenly smacked in the face with a stone heart.
"I found this in your treasure vault. So, care to tell me where you found this? " Zanth said, voice clearly not happy.
"We found it a ways back, when we tried and failed to take the pearl from the Sea Griffons." The Storm King answered. "But I don't see what the big deal is."
"You fool. You've had the Heart of Despair this entire time. " Zanth said.
"...This is the heart of Despair? Looks like just some stone heart object to me." Storm King admitted.
"I suppose I can't fault you for thinking that. Something has happened to the heart to make it no longer have its magical properties. And now, it lies dormant. " Zanth said.
"Well, is there a way to reactivate it?" Storm King asked.
"...Actually yes; yes there is one way: The heart feeds on negative emotions such as anger and sadness. With enough negative emotion condensed into one place, the heart can be reactivated. " Zanth said.
The Storm King chuckled. "Really? Then perhaps the invasion of Canterlot will cause enough sadness and anger amongst the populace to reactivate it."
If Zanth could grin, no doubt he would be from that. "Yes...that would be enough sadness and anger to feed the heart to reactivate it. " Zanth said. And once it's reactivated, you'll have outlived your usefulness to me. the void being thought to itself.
At this same time in Ponyville, things have been hectic. What with Sunburst getting time with all of Starlight's Ponyville friends. The day had ended there, when Sunburst left back to the Crystal Empire.
He did take one book with him that was going to become important very, very soon.
As for Spike and Smolder, the two have been doing well; with no sign of their relationship stagnating. One day Garble had appeared, but he was quickly scared off by Spikezilla because he had tried once more to take his biological sister back by force. Safe to say, that didn't work. That was three days ago before today.
"By the way, I don't think Rainbow Dash will be the only one getting married soon." Smolder suddenly said as the two were reading their invitation to a giant wedding celebration planned for a week from now.
"Are you talking about Rarity and Fancy Pants? Yeah, I heard. And I'm happy for them." Spike said.
"Oh, I'm not talking about them." Smolder said, before she gestured over to a nearby resturant where Twilight and Flash Sentry were having a wonderful time together.
"...Huh. Could they be any more obvious?" Spike asked.
"I don't think they care. I mean, we did basically do karma on Shining Armor for waiting until the last minute to tell Twilight about his wedding. So, I think the lesson's already been learnt." Smolder said.
"Thanks for doing that my way, by the way." Spike said.
Suddenly the duo spotted Garble, but he just dropped off some letter in the castle of friendship's mail box and flew off. "Wonder what he's up to." Smolder said as Spike took out the letter.
"...Oh! It's a letter from Ember. Guess Garble got reduced to an errand boy." Spike said. "'Dear Spike, there is something I wish to discuss with you shortly after the wedding celebration happening in a week. Before you ask, yes, I got invited to it too. And there's something I want to discuss with you during the reception. So I hope to see you then.'" Spike read off.
"Huh. Wonder what's so important that the dragon lord would use direct mail?" Smolder asked.
"Don't know, but whatever it is, it's worth it just to see Garble be delivery boy because he went against the dragon lord's wishes." Spike said.
Smolder couldn't help but giggle at that. "Oh you." Smolder said before she and Spike shared a kiss.
As the dragon couple kissed, Garble was dismissed from Ember's chambers.
"So, your going to tell him." Torch said to his daughter.
"Yes. He deserves to know the truth. About who his father is, his sister is, and why his 'Spikezilla' form activates whenever he defends another." Ember said.
"...You think he's ready for the truth?" Torch asked.
"I'm more worried about how he'll react to the news more than I am worried about how ready he is." Ember said.
"...Fair enough..." Torch said.

Chapter 5: Heart of Despair

The conflict with Zanth did not resolve itself with the destruction of The Heart of Despair; a single ball of light suddenly decended upon the area where the heroes all landed: The Parish District.
The ghosts were back. All of them. And they were saying the same things as before. White Flame approuched the ball of light. "How? " Zanth's voice suddenly spoke out. "How are you able to ignore the voices? "
"What voices?" White Flame asked. "I can't hear any voices. Not anymore. Simply because I choose not to hear them."
"I...I don't understand...how can you forget? How can you forgive? " Zanth asked.
"The despair is over Zanth. If you will it, you can choose not to hear the voices too. And then, you can be reborn." White Flame said.
"Would...anyone really forgive me? After everything I've done, everyone I've killed...would anyone truely forgive me? " Zanth said.
"There is one person who forgives you Zanth: Me. I forgive you." White Flame said before suddenly he touched the ball of light.
Suddenly, the ball of light morphed into a white unicorn colt about White Flame's age; in fact, outside of the color and the cutie mark of a black heart, the colt was like White Flame's identical Twin brother. The colt's eyes were closed as the ball of light gave form to this colt, and when it was gone and the colt was gently lowered to the ground, the colt began to awaken...
As the colt finally woke up, they looked over themselves as if they weren't used to themselves, and then stopped to look at their hooves, before tears began to well up in their eyes.
"...H-hooves...I have hooves..." The new colt said; their voice identical to Zanth's voice without the strange garble behind it. It sounded like a carbon copy of White Flame's voice. "But...but more then that...I have a body...I have an actual body." The colt said. He then began to cry obsessively.
"I'M NOT WORTHY!"
Was the phrase he cried out in pure and utter joy.
It took some time, but the colt formally known as Zanth finally ceased his tears.
"...I've heard that if you seek forgiveness, you must first forgive youself. But I doubt the phrase has anything on this." Starswirl the Bearded said.
"I...I really don't deserve this. I...I just..." Formally Zanth said.
"It may take forever to atone for the damage you caused. But if I can live a normal life. Then, you can too...Black Heart." White Flame said.
"...Black Heart...that's my new name then...I see...I understand..." Formally Zanth now Black Heart said. "I guess...I don't care how long it takes: I will atone for everything I've ever done when I was Zanth. Just like you have, White Flame."
"I know you will. You've already got friends here who can help you push past the despair, and really, truely, start living instead of just being." White Flame said.
"Yeah, I think we can both work on that path of self-improvement." Diamond Tiara said, putting an arm around Black Heart.
"When'd they get here?" Twilight asked.
"We saw the light, same as you. Now, I think there's a double wedding to enjoy." Diamond Tiara said. "After the Heart of Despair basically went cuckoo crazy, the storm king's forces just...surrendered. Most are being let off easy, but the enforcer of the Storm King asked to speak to Princess Twilight specifically."
"...Huh. Wonder why that is? I best not keep her waiting." Twilight said.
Twilight then met with Tempest Shadow; or rather, Fizzlepop Berrytwist. With some help from Twilight, the Unicorn was able to have a magic horn now. It wasn't a real horn, but for the first time since childhood, Fizzlepop felt whole again.
Applejack meanwhile, did not look pleased at the fact that Zanth was basically being given a get out of jail free card. The colt formally known as Zanth soon came up to her. "You may be able to gain every pony else's trust; but it's going to take a miracle before ah can even begin to trust the likes of you." Applejack said.
"I had a feeling you might say that." Black Heart said, before he tilted his head to look past Applejack. "Which is why...I think there's two ponies you should meet, that with my advanced magic, I was able to rescue, and find for you." He said.
Applejack had a confused look on her face, but then a voice called out to her. "Applejack? Is that you?" A female voice said.
Applejack turned around, and saw two ponies she swore she would never see again. "...Ma! Pa!" Applejack said, as she and Apple Bloom suddenly embraced the two ponies. White Flame was nearby, smiling.
"...So, you reunited the Apple Siblings with their parents huh?" White Flame asked. "I'd say that's a big attornment you just made."
"Well, every pony deserves some amount of happiness. Even her." Black Heart said.
The double wedding took place, and with her magic horn, Fizzlepop Berrytwist provided some fireworks shortly after the Shadowbolts formation to celebrate the double wedding. Now, Spike and Smolder were over with Ember and her father.
"So...I guess now that the Double Wedding has happened, now maybe you can tell me what was just so important." Spike said.
"And anything you have to say to Spike, you can say to his wife." Smolder said. "...Heh. That rhymed."
"That's fine. It's just...have you ever wondered why you are able to access that monsterious dragon form whenever you desire to protect another?" Ember asked.
"I thought that just became a thing because I had Shining Armor as an adoptive brother." Spike said.
"I guess having the former captain of the Canterlot Royal Guard as your adoptive brother only helped push you towards that." Ember said.
"...It's just that this is difficult for me to admit but...Spike...I am your father." Torch said.
"...Hold up, sounds to me like you just said that you are my father..." Spike said.
"I did. You heard correctly. The ability to access that form to protect others is something Ember and I are capable of doing as well." Torch said.
"...Spike.mlp will stop working now..." Spike said before he fainted.
"...Here I go too..." Smolder said before she fainted.
But they weren't the only two who fainted that day: Shining Armor fainted as well when Flash Sentry just proposed to his biological sister right then and there.

Chapter 7: School Troubles
Chancellor Neighsay was not a pony known for being neccessarily evil. At least, on a surface level. However, he was known for being very racist towards non-ponies. But no pony knew just how far he'd go to ensure that only ponies could get an education in Equestria.
After the whole thing with Zanth & The Storm King settled, the map in Twilight's Friendship Castle had grown. This led to Twilight wanting to open a Friendship School. Of course, this led her to the E.E.A.'s door step and an encounter with Chancellor Neighsay.
While Twilight wanted to follow the E.E.A.'s guidelines as close as possible, it had turned out that Chancellor Neighsay had a very harsh disdain for non-ponies. In fact, the stallion had ended up closing the school down because of Twilight wanting to include non-ponies as students.
Twilight did her best to try and fight Neighsay, but as the one in charge of the E.E.A., he had a lot of sway. Not even the high council could overrule his closure of the school unless demand for it was high. And that seemed to be hard to come back. However, it seemed Twilight wasn't the only one who thought Chancellor Nieghsay's closure of Twilight's school was unjust.
There was one particular Pegasus Filly orphan, who had come to Ponyville, and managed to eek out a large number of signatures. This filly's name was Cozy Glow. And she had gathered a very large number of signatures.
"Tw-twenty thousand signatures?!" Chancellor Neighsay was astonished by this.
"And it's not just pony signatures either. So much for your racism talk. The moment you started displaying racism, it became easy for quite a few non-ponies to want the school re-opened. And I bet I could get even more then this." Cozy Glow said.
"Hmph. Any signatures by non-ponies should not count." Nieghsay said.
"Sadly, that part's not up to you; it's up to the high council. And boy, they were all too willing to let the school be re-opened at let Princess Twilight run the school however she wants. So basically, your being overruled." Cozy Glow said.
"You mean you went to them first?!" Nieghsay exclaimed.
"But of course. Because I already knew how'd you react." Cozy Glow said.
"Grr...one way or another, this reopening won't last. Mark my words on that." Chancellor Neighsay said and left the premesis.
"Yeah good luck with that." Cozy Glow said.
"It's nice to see the younger generation taking such a large interest in friendship. Thank you, Cozy Glow. If there's anything I can do for you in exchange, name it." Twilight said.
"Golly, well you can just let me be a student at the school and we can call it even." Cozy Glow said.
"...That's...all you want?" Twilight was a little confused.
"It's all I want." Cozy Glow said.
"...Well, I suppose if that's what you want, then why should I refuse?" Twilight asked.
Cozy Glow had shown herself to be quite smart, but she did seem to want the best for others. And when she overheard the Cutie Mark Crusaders (namely Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo), she of course thought they'd make good classmates, so she formulated a plan.
...However, this plan went arry in a hurry. So she came clean about the whole thing, and after some forgiveness from the CMC, the CMC were allowed to be tutors at the school in their off time. So things did work out in the end.
Still, Cozy Glow felt guilty. "I'm really sorry that I lied..." Cozy Glow said.
"Why did you lie so much about the whole thing?" White Flame asked.
"I just wanted Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo to get their wish of being part of the School of Friendship. I didn't mean for what initially happened to happen." Cozy Glow said. "I thought they'd be forced into the school's program. I really did..."
"Well, maybe you should've thought about that possibility." Scootaloo said. "Still, the thought is what matters, and you succeeded in a way."
"Maybe so. I'm just so upset that my initail plan didn't work." Cozy Glow said.
"You seem like a smart kid. Maybe next time, use some of that smartness." White Flame said.
"B-but I really don't want to. I just know the moment I really show off how smart I am...I'll never get any friends." Cozy Glow said.
"Wait what? Why would that make it, so you'll never get friends?" Button Mash asked.
"Because no creature I've ever met has appreciated how smart I really am. So, I've dumbed it down." Cozy Glow said.
"Well maybe just once, you could try to show off how smart you really are. You'd probably be surprised how many friends you'd get." Sweetie Belle said.
"T-that's a nice thought but...golly...do I wish to never use my full IQ." Cozy Glow said.
Cozy Glow should've remembered the old saying of "no pony always gets what they want". And when strange occurrences were causing magic to go haywire around Equestria, it had been because most of that magic had been collected by Chancellor Neighsay in an attempt to banish all non-ponies from Equestria permanently.
Cozy Glow as such, had no other choice; she had to tap into her large IQ to do her best to save the day. Before the big discovery that everything was Neighsay's doing, she had gotten the CMC to help her. That's the seven of them made the big discovery. Soon, the Young Six did their best to stop Neighsay's plan, which ended with the ponies of the school initially turning agaist them, before the tree of harmony suddenly assisted them, and allowed them to stop Neighsay's plan.
This restored magic to normal, and stopped the banishment spell. Yet, despite Chancellor Neighsay being thrown in Tartarus, Cozy Glow was starting to leave.
"Cozy Glow, where do you think your going?" Twilight asked.
"...Away..." Cozy Glow said.
"You don't have to go away, Cozy Glow. You've got friends." Apple Bloom said.
"But...but you saw how smart I really am. You should be intimidated by it." Cozy Glow said.
"How could we be intimidated by a friend?" Rumble asked.
Tears filled Cozy Glow's eyes, as she hugged the entire CMC unit. "...Seems even a genius like her, didn't know one thing." Black Heart said.
"Oh really? And what exactly is that?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"You can never really destroy the friendships you've gained." Black Heart said.
"...Heh. That's so true." Diamond Tiara said.

Chapter 8: Electrical Surge
The big wedding between Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry was coming soon. It would be topped with control of Equestria being given fully to both Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry as the royal sisters retire from their positions.
However, things weren't fully sunshine and rainbows, as somehow, Neighsay had escaped the prison transfer between Canterlot and Tartarus as Neighsay's big banishment spell was enough to get the stallion sent to Tatarus.
And yet, it seemed that Neighsay wouldn't stay away for long; as he had managed to pull off an escape. However, he was bested and recaptured. Now, it was to be that his punishment would be much greater: Being turned to stone.
However, there was one thing that he had on him that was no doubt part of whatever evil scheme he was going to concoct to get his revenge: A strange piece of depris that seemed very technologically advanced.
It didn't take long for Twilight to reverse engineer the technology, and as such, it started to jumpstart electronics in Equestria and the allied regions. Things were really looking up.
Oh sure, there was some glitches going on with the new tech here and there like a malfunction, but since the technology was so new and so advanced for anything any creature had seen before, it was brushed off as growing pains.
...How little did they know just what it really was that Neighsay had obtained.
It was the week before the big event where Twilight & Flash would get married just before the royal sisters retired. And that was when it happened: The piece of debris that Twilight had used to create all the new technology had suddenly floated out of Twilight's Friendship Castle all by itself. Or more like, it broke out of the castle. And then, suddenly, technology from all over the lands was quickly being magnetized to the piece of debris.
"Wh-what is this?!" Twilight exclaimed.
"I don't know. But whatever it is, it's taking all the technology." Princess Celestia said.
There was evil laughter as visable electricity suddenly began to form between all the technology, creating a true electrical monstrosity. "Finally...after twenty thousand years...I have been reborn." The monster said.
"Hey buster, give us back our tech." Rainbow Dash said.
"I think not. After all, this tech you've reversed engineered off my remains is key to keeping me alive. So I don't think I'll be returning it." The monster said.
"You mean I allowed you to get reborn? Unintentionally?" Twilight was worried now.
"You were just so eager to reverse engineer my remains, that you were blissfully unaware of what it was in contact with. Maybe if you had realized what it was you had, you would've destroyed it." The monster said.
"Hindsight is always twenty-twenty they say, I doubt we can blame anything on Twilight because she was just so eager." Ember said.
"Perhaps. But then, do you even know who I am?" The monster asked. "I am known as Haywire; the strongest demon to ever live!"
"Don't recognize you. Should we know you?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"...I suppose this is what happens when twenty thousand years pass since your death. It was sheer luck that allowed me to escape my untimely demise." Haywire said.
"You mean the thing Neighsay had on him was part of the corpse of a demon?!" Twilight was both mortified and shocked.
"The blind fool didn't even know he had a part of the Great Satellite I had created twenty thousand years ago. He was going to reverse engineer it and create an arsenal of weapons to wage war against the monarchy of Equestria. Oh yes, he said this to me, not realizing that the piece he held had my entire being attached to it. So, while he ranted off his plans to the piece he held, he had no idea that I was still conscious enough to listen." Haywire explained.
"But Twilight was using the reverse engineering to create good tech that would benefit every creature." Spike argued.
"...Pardon me? 'Good' tech? How simple minded." Haywire stated. "Tech is only good or bad depending on whose using it. And in my case, I tend to use technology for evil."
The monster would suddenly swipe at a group of creatures all bundled up together, which made them become paralized by electricity. "What the..." Twilight said.
"I am the most powerful demon ever. You can't defeat me. You could never hope to defeat me. I have the power of a god. And I don't care how long you live for; at the end of the day, an Alicorn is still just a mortal. You are all mere mortals. You mortals could never hope to defeat a demon whose powers rival a god's!" Haywire said.
"No...your wrong!" Twilight said. "No matter how powerful you may be, we still have powerful magic. For we have the most powerful magic that was ever concieved: The Magic of Frienship!" Twilight shouted.
At that, suddenly, rainbows came off the main six, the pillars, the young six, and the CMC which started to form the largest rainbow laser that could ever exist. "Wh-what the hell? This can't be possible! You are only mortals! You are only mortals!" Haywire said in a panic before he was utterly destroyed.
While scraps of the tech Haywire had taken were recovered, Twilight decided that the technology was just too advanced for Equestria to handle, if it could house a living demon inside of it. So, all of the technology was gathered up and burnt to ashes, in order to ensure that this demon called Haywire could never resurface.
But outside of that, the only other thing of note was the big event of Twilight & Flash getting married, before the royal sisters would retire. That, and Twilight creating the council of friendship.
Twilight hoped that one day in Equestria's future, technology could be safe to use without something like Haywire being a threat to any creature.
