As much as she loved Maretime Bay Day, she had to admit something: Prepare everything for said celebration every year always drained a lot of energy from her system. It wasn't just checking that all the decorations were in place, no, she also had to check which music would be used; which treats each pony tribe was gonna brought; which attractions would be displayed... It's been a really tiring week for her, and even if Maretime Bay Day is still two weeks away, she knows that they must prepare everything in advance. She's quite surprised that Phyllis trusts her with the task of preparing Maretime Bay Day, considering the former Canterlogic owner - now Canterlove Studios - is the one that organized all this stuff. Of course, Sunny felt honored with the offer and accepted with no hesitation, a decision she partially regrets now because she never imagined that this entire thing would make her feel so tired. It is one thing to just prepare some meals for the big day, maybe even plan out some fun activities for ponies to do, but actually prepare the entire festival out and alone? It was exhausting, and now she definitely had admiration towards Phyllis for pulling out this exact same routine every year. Thankfully, though, the day had finally come to an end, and now she could just go upstairs and fall over the bed she shares with Pipp... After all, she's her marefriend, so there's nothing wrong with sleeping together. Thinking about Pipp actually brought a smile back to Sunny's face, as she blushed slightly and chuckled. The younger Princess and her had started dating about two or three months ago, a while after defeating Opaline for good. Pipp was the one to make the first move since she's had a crush on Sunny for the longest time. She was completely lost not only because of her beauty, but also because of who she was, a mare full of hope who wanted the best for everyone in Equestria, who was willing to fight to protect them and give her life if necessary. Perhaps that is why, when Sunny confessed to feeling the same, she was surprised, but what was more of a surprise was knowing the reasons behind her falling in love: Sunny loved Pipp for his generosity and self-confidence, something that Sunny herself felt. that was lacking. She loved her voice and her beauty, true, but the fact that she stayed true to herself no matter what was what made Sunny fall for her. All this factors made them finally start a proper relationship, one filled with love, kisses, snuggles, dates, walks in the beach and, most importantly, mutual support between them. Sunny could definitely have some support right now, because as she entered the bedroom, she fell exhausted on Pipp's bed. She didn't noticed, though, that Pipp herself was in the room, and that she was working on a new song, but as soon as the princess heard the bedroom's door opening, she turned to see her beloved marefriend entering and then falling on her bed, which made Pipp tilt her head confused. "Sunny?" Pipp called out, putting her notebook and pen down and then flying over to her bed, where Sunny lay on her face. "Babe? You okay?" Sunny only replied with an exhausted groan, and Pipp couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Was your day that tiring today?" "...Probably even worse..." Sunny managed to reply, then she pulled up her face and looked at Pipp, who had approached to her with a smile on her lips. "Everypony comes to me in hopes of making a proper decision regarding anything. Today was just supposed to be me tasting the treats for the festival, and 14 of them arrived so late that I had to fill in the time by choosing which carnival games to display! All of this is so exhausting, how does Phyllis does this every year without going insane?! I barely feel I'm still any sane at this rate! Ugh!" After Sunny let our her frustration and buried her face on the mattress, Pipp let out another giggle, lifting up Sunny's face with her hooves so she can face her straight up. "In a little bit of a slump: You're too exhausted to even care about what's gonna happen tomorrow, right?" Pipp asked with a loving smile for her marefriend. Sunny groaned again, even burring her face on Pipp's soft chest. "Please don't remind me, Pipperoni..." Pipp only giggled again at hearing the nickname, that sweet nickname that Izzy gave her a long time ago, but Sunny liked it so much that she used it on her daily, and Pipp didn't minded at all. "Well, is there anything your cute marefriend over here can do to make you feel better?" "Kisses, lots of kisses," Sunny replied, still with her face burred on Pipp's chest before pulling away and look at Pipp with a but of shyness. "And snuggles. I want to snuggle with you all night~" Pipp rolled her eyes with a slight blush, but she still smiled at her marefriend. "You act like a filly sometimes, you know that?" "But you love me anyways, don't you?" Sunny nuzzled her nose with Pipp's. The younger princess replied by softly kissing Sunny's lips. "Oh, you know me too well, Sun~" Pipp then proceed to lay down on the bed while Sunny lay at her side, just resting her head on her chest. Even though Sunny was taller than Pipp, the Earth Pony mare loved to feel Pipp's soft chest, hence why she snuggles like this with her, although she also allows Pipp to rest on her chest when the young pegasus wants to. Sunny let out a content sigh by snuggling with Pipp, but then that content increased to a ten when she felt Pipp wrapping her wings around her, which made Sunny smile even more. "My hoofness, Pipp... Why are your wings so damn soft?" Sunny asked. "They feel as cozy as the clouds! I didn't even knew this was possible..." "Why do you always ask me that, silly?" Pipp laughed. "Not that I really mind or anything, but you always brought it up." "I guess that's what happens when one's in love, Pipp," Sunny replied with a smile, before looking up to her. "Specially when it's with a cute, little princess like you~" Pipp only giggled and kissed Sunny's forehead. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing you saying such things. Perhaps because I'm deeply in love with a beautiful mare like you~" "Aww, you're gonna make my heart melt, Pipperoni!" "You already make mine melt everyday, Sunny Starscout," Pipp replied with a sweet and genuine smile. "I love you." "I love you too, Pipp Petals," Sunny replied. The two mares then proceed to kiss each other one last time, before limiting themselves to snuggle until they both fell asleep.
