Awakening Of The Turquoise Heiress
One Truth Prevails
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTurquoise got ready for school and went downstairs where her mom was waiting with some news regarding Bullet.
“Good news Turquoise, your dad is coming home,” Ruby said.
“He is?” Turquoise said quite surprised by this news.
“He is and will be here when you get back from school,” Ruby said. Turquoise got going since she did not want to be late. Sometime later she arrived at Crystal Prep where she noticed someone a lot of the students gathered by what looked like a massive piece of graffiti. It was a giant picture of Turquoise wearing a slutty outfit in a suggestive pose with the world slut under it.
“What’s going on here?” Turquoise asked.
“Why don’t you tell us Slut,” One of the girl students asked.
“Yeah, we already hate you enough, don't go giving us another reason to hate you more, “One of the boys said.
“I did not do this, I would never do this,” Turquoise said.
“Quit lying you whore, you did this just to spite all of us,” Raven said while trying to instigate a witch hunt against Turquoise. Soon the administrators and principal cadence arrived to see what all the commotion was and when they saw the graffiti they did not look happy.
“Who is responsible for this?” Cadence demanded which caused all of the students to point their fingers at Turquoise who at the moment had none of her friends to back her up. The administrator had everyone get to class while Turquoise, who was all alone, was escorted to Cadence's office. Meanwhile, within the crowd of students Raven was smiling wickedly as if she planned this.
“Good thing that little accident was right by where all of Turquoise’s friends lived,” Raven said to herself referring to the incident on Starswirl Ave where a multi car pile-up was. Soon all of Turquoise’s friends arrived and saw the porn piece painted on the side of the school.
“I got a bad feeling about this,” Fleur said.
“I know, Turquoise might be in great danger as we speak,” Haruka said.
“She could be blamed for this unless we do something,” Lemon said.
“Are all of you friends with Turquoise?” A boy asked.
“We are, we were a bit late because the accident on Starswirl Ave forced us to take the long way to get here,” Haruka said.
“Well I hate to tell you this but you’re too late, she is in Cadence’s office already,” The boy said.
“Damn it if only we were a little bit faster,” Haruka said.
“By the way, who are you and why are you still lingering around here?” Lemon asked.
“I’m Ein Doyle, teen detective,” Ein said.
“Detective?” Lemon asked.
“Yes, And to answer your second question, I'm looking for clues because I feel your friend is innocent,” Ein said.
“Why are you helping her? I thought you would be among the majority of students who hate her,” Fleur asked.
“Because I believe finding the whole truth is more important than personal feelings or grudges, plus the cops in this city are dimwits who could not solve their way out of a paper bag even if they tried,” Ein said while strongly referring to his own adoptive father who is a detective himself but not a good one since he is always belittling his attempts to help and stealing all the credit.
“You really think our friend is innocent?” Sunny asked.
“I do but I fear we may not have much time to figure it out since Cadence may get her husband down here within the hour, “Ein said.
“Then let's get to looking,'' Lemon said.
Meanwhile in Cadence’s office turquoise was looking quite shaken up by the whole thing as indicated by the fearful look on her face and by how much her body was shaking.
“This is some serious trouble you are in Turquoise,” Cadence said in a serious tone rather than her empathetic one.
“I didn't do it Principal Cadence, I would never do something like this,” Turquoise said in an attempt to try and save herself. Cadence could tell by the tone of her voice and the look in her eyes that she was not lying and was truly afraid right now.
“Listen, I want to believe you I truly do, but we have multiple students saying you did,” Cadence said.
“That’s because all of them hate me and want to see me gone,” Turquoise said. Even though Turquoise was right about that part with no evidence to back up her claims she was dead even if she didn’t do the crime.
“Ok here is the deal, I will give you until the end of the day to prove your innocence, but if you can’t do so then I will have no choice but to let my husband and his boys downtown arrest you for vandalism,” Cadence said.
“Isn’t that going too far even for you?” Turquoise asked.
“This is no minor offense, we are talking about Turquoise, this is something dead serious,” Cadence said. Turquoise was dismissed and when she left the office she saw her friends waiting for her.
“Sorry we were late, that accident on Starswirl Ave forced us to take the long way here,” Lemon said.
“What does it matter, I'm going to jail over something I did not do, “Turquoise said, already losing hope.
“You're joking right?” Haruka said.
“Ask principal Cadence because she said unless the real culprit comes to light her husband will arrest me and not even my parents will be willing to save me,” Turquoise said.
“Now don't lose hope, there is already a detective looking into this whole mess,” Haruka said.
“Why bother, they are going to nail me anyway,” Turquoise said.
“Actually, Ein is convinced you are innocent,” Lemon said. Just as she said that Ein showed up to report his findings.
“You must be Turquoise,” Ein said.
“I am,” Turquoise said.
“I’m sorry you got roped into this but I promise you I will find the truth,” Ein said.
“Why are you sticking your neck out for me? “Turquoise asked, feeling confused as to why a complete stranger would go so far as to cut classes for her sake.
“Because I believe in Cadence's mission as Principal and like her, I also want to see change. Solving this case is the first step towards that because if you get arrested and expelled it will send the wrong message, “Ein said.
“Speaking of which, did you find anything?” Fleur asked.
“Other than an odd scent coming from one of the cans that was left behind at the crime scene, not much else, “Ein said.
“Can you describe this scent?” Lemon asked.
“It smelled overly sweet with a hint of what I'm assuming is Damask Rose,” Ein said.
“Most likely some kind of perfume,” Fleur guessed.
“Well in any case keep us informed, meanwhile we will make sure Turquoise survives the day since it may be her last,” Haruka said. The girls left for their classes while Ein got back to investigating. As he was walking through the halls, he overheard one of the security guards talking.
“I can’t believe the tranny would do this,” The guard said, referring to the security footage of a masked person in black clothes doing the deed but what gave them away was the hair color which matches Turquoise’s hair to a T. A bit later the culprit used black spray paint to cover the camera lenses. Ein was slowly beginning to believe Turquoise did it, that is until he suddenly picked up the same scent from the crime scene coming from one of the lockers. Unfortunately, Ein could not open it since it was locked. Suddenly the janitor who was hired recently came out to do his job of cleaning the hallways.
“Excuse me young man but shouldn't you be in class right now?” the Janitor asked.
“I’m investigating a crime; did you hear about the vandalism discovered this morning?” Ein asked.
“How could I forget? that porn piece is a blemish on this institution and whoever did it should be forced to clean it up before leaving for good, “The janitor said. “But as for your little investigation, did you find any leads?
“I have one, but it requires opening one of the lockers to confirm my suspicions,” Ein said.
“Well, I would love to help but to search the lockers you will need the faculty's permission since those lockers are school property,” The janitor said before emptying one of the trash cans which had what looked like a tarp with paint stains on it.
“Hold on, let me see that tarp, “Ein said before taking it. He examined it and noticed it had the same smell while also the lingering smell of the garbage it was covered by. He also noticed some strands of black hair on it that were most lightly pulled out when the culprit got some paint stuck to them. Soon one of the administrators was passing by and noticed Ein.
“Why are you not in class?” The administrator asked Ein.
“I’m investigating the crime and I think I managed to uncover an important clue thanks to the janitor, “Ein said.
“Listen kid, I know you just want to protect your friend but when people do bad things they must be punished,” The administrator said.
“I’m being serious, do you really have no qualms with ruining an innocent girl’s future like it’s no big deal?” Ein asked. The administrator was going to most likely regret doing this, but he agreed to play along.
“Fine, let's see it,” he said before Ein presented the tarp with the paint stains and hair on it. ”where did you find this?
“It was in the trash, “The janitor said.
“Any other leads?” The administrator asked.
“I noticed a powerful scent coming from the spray can at the crime scene and traced it to one of the lockers. If we can search it, we may find the true culprit, “Ein said.
“I’ll go get the bolt cutters,” The janitor said.
“You go do that, Meanwhile, Mr. Doyle, show me the locker,” the administrator said. Ein showed him the locker and once the janitor came back with the bolt cutters, he cut the lock and opened the locker. Inside was some books, cans of spray paint, a bluish-green long-haired wig, some black paint-stained clothes, and lastly a black mask with a floral print design on it. Ein smelled the cans and clothes and noticed the same scent from the one he compared them to.
“We found our evidence, now all that is left to do is find out who’s locker this is,” Ein said.
“Locker 355, I believe that one belongs to Raven Stone,” The administrator said.
“Looks like we have our culprit,” Ein said.
“Ms. Stone is definitely getting the boot for this,” The administrator said before Ein stopped him.
“Hold on, first we must prove Turquoise is innocent and that means having Raven confess to it herself,” Ein said.
“So, what are you suggesting?” The administrator asked. Suddenly Ein struck a dramatic pose before snapping his fingers.
“It’s showtime, “ Ein said. Ein told the administrator to make an announcement while he gathered the clues. Once everything was acquired Ein was off to the auditorium to set up for what he called Ein’s Deduction Spectacular. It was now fourth period and the administrator informed Principal Cadence of the recent developments regarding the incident and agreed to Ein’s plan, mostly because she wanted to see where this went. Soon an announcement played.
“Will all students please report to the Auditorium for an emergency assembly,” The announcement said. Five minutes later all the students including turquoise, and raven were gathered. Now it was time to start the show. Suddenly the room went dark and then a spotlight shined on Ein who was wearing his Sherlock Holmes hat since it was part of his character when doing this part of his investigations.
“All of you are probably wondering why I gathered you here and why I'm up on this stage,” Ein said before getting straight to business. “I’m here to reveal the truth behind the case of the deflowered gem which involves our school’s image and the fate of our beloved Turquoise.
“Maybe you care about that whore but the rest of us don’t,” One of the students said before being silenced by an administrator.
“Well like it or not I'm solving this case,” Ein said before continuing. “And the true culprit is you. Suddenly Ein raised his hand up and snapped his fingers before a spotlight shined on Raven. “Raven Stone, you are the true culprit.
“Your hat must be on too tight because I did no such thing, “Raven said, denying his claims.
“That’s right, play the part of the villainess who refuses to admit to her crime, now let’s start the show,” Ein said before some music began to play as Ein paced back and forth. “First off, the graffiti, why chose Turquoise of all people to pin it on, the obvious answer would be because the majority of our school hates her because of her true gender and refusing to stick with it but to go this far insinuates there is a lot more to it than just mere hatred. Ein then shifted everyone’s attention to the screen where he pulled out the first clue which was the paint-stained cloth. “I will admit Ms. Stone you had all of your angles covered, you even made sure to avoid getting paint on you, but these stains are not what clued me in, this was. The screen zoomed in on the strands of hair which were black. “These hair strands belong to the true culprit and came out when the paint dried, and her hair rubbed against it.
“So those could be anyone's, I would bet that was actually Silver’s real hair color, “Raven said, still playing innocent.
“I don’t have black hair you witch, “Turquoise shouted.
“It’s as Ms. Dusk said, "she does not have black hair, in fact her true hair color is red,” Ein said.
“Even so, those strands don’t prove it was me, a lot of girls have black hair,” Raven said.
“OK kid, answer this,” The security guard said before getting to his question. “How can it possibly be this girl when the camera footage shows Turquoise’s hair behind that mask?
“I’m glad you asked sir, that brings me to my next piece of evidence, “Ein said before a spotlight shined on a wig head that had the wig found inside Raven’s locker on it. “This wig was found inside Raven’s locker along with other stuff but let’s focus on this first. “Raven knew about the security cameras and how they would pick her up upon entering school grounds late at night, so she donned this wig to make it look like Turquoise did it.
“That’s ridiculous, I would never cover my hair in such a tacky color like that,” Raven said before getting to the part that really made her angry. “And who gave you permission to ransack my locker?
“Your locker is school property, so we don’t need permission to search it,” Principal Cadence pointed out.
“I also found the clothes you wore under that cloth that were also stained in paint, “Ein pointed out along with the rest of the cans of spray paint used.
“You can’t prove any of those are mine, “Raven shouted.
“Want a bet, because here is the piece of evidence that links everything together,” Ein said before pulling out a glass bottle. “This is a bottle of perfume that is soaked into everything that was used. It’s damask no5 and Raven’s perfume of choice. In fact, she reeks of it right now. Everyone confirmed it. “Now confess Raven because you have nowhere left to run. raven looked defeated and as Ein pointed out she literally had nowhere to run as the other students had her boxed in.
"Ok fine it’s true I did it, I painted that porn piece," Raven confessed.
“And now for the important part, Motive, and by that why?” Ein asked.
“You’re right the majority of us hate Turquoise for being transgender and a crossdresser. But the reason I wanted her gone was because she got my boyfriend expelled,” Raven said.
“Who was your boyfriend?” One of the students asked.
“That brings us to my final piece of evidence, “Ein said before he snapped his fingers which caused a spotlight to shine on a display with the mask Raven used to hide her face. “This was the mask used to hide Raven’s face but notice the inscription inside. The camera zoomed in and saw a love confession written by someone with the initials LS.
“LS? who could that be?” One of the girls asked.
“Lance Striker,” Turquoise answered.
“Exactly, we were in love and could have lived happily together until this skank came to our school, “Raven said.
“That will be enough out of you Raven and all of you as well, “Cadence said, putting her foot down on everyone. "It's about time I ended this segregation once and for all, Turquoise is not a bringer of misfortune, she is not the trickster that sow's chaos, all of you only treat her that way because all of you are afraid of what’s different, while she keeps going despite all everyone put her through.
“Cadence is Right, let’s end this already,” One of the boys said.
“I’m with you, Turquoise has done no wrong,” Another boy said. A good amount of the students was with cadence, but the majority still wanted to hate Turquoise which meant it was still going to be an uphill battle. As for Raven the police came in and arrested Raven on the charges of trespassing after hours and vandalism.
“At least Lance will be waiting for me, “Raven said, trying to find a positive only for Turquoise to take that away from her.
“Sorry Raven but you won’t find Lance in prison, Unless Volka’s Military School in Alaska counts,” Turquoise said.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,” Raven shouted as the cops hauled her away. Cadence and the students who sided with her apologized to Turquoise and things returned to normal.
“Thank you for saving me from being some meathead’s bitch,” Turquoise said to Ein.
“Think nothing of it, “Ein said.
“By the way, why all the theatrics?” Haruka asked.
“I like to show some flair when presenting my deductions, it makes things more fun,” Ein said. The day continued once school was out Turquoise went straight home on account of today’s events being draining on her. As soon as she entered, she was expecting her mom.
“Hey mom you’re not going to believe the kind of day I had,” Turquoise said.
“Then let's hear all about it,” Bullet said.
“Dad? Is that really you?” Turquoise asked before getting close to tearing up.
“Yes, Turquoise it’s me and I owe you a huge apology,” Bullet said.
“Before you tell us about your day, Bullet, is there something you wish to say?” Ruby asked.
“Turquoise, I had some time to reflect, and your uncle, aunt, and grandparents convinced me to be more supportive of your life choice,” Bullet said.
“So does that mean?” Turquoise asked, hoping this was going where she thought it was.
“You can be our daughter, and I promise if whatever boy you date forces you to do something you're not comfortable with, I will personally deal with them,” Bullet said.
“That’s good and I have met someone who I think you will like,” Turquoise said. She told him about Haruka.
“I never knew the Goldenburns were living in Canterlot too, “Bullet said, remembering them from when Turquoise was in elementary school.
“I’m just glad she is dating Haruka and not some musclehead,” Ruby said.
“Anyway, tell us about your day,” Bullet said. Turquoise told them everything and looked quite surprised.
“That sounded horrible,” Ruby said, feeling very concerned.
“Indeed, we could have lost you forever if you were found guilty,” Bullet said.
“Well, I’m just glad it is over,” Turquoise said before heading upstairs to her room to relax for the day.
