Chapter 1. Shipwreck

Twilight stood on helm of the ship. It was beautiful night. She smiled to herself as she watched the sails of the ship flap in the night's air. It feels like it was yesterday that they were leaving Equestria

"Today, Our brave new explorers shall venture off into the new world, What they shall find will change our way of life forever" Princess Celestia said "My sister, Princess Luna and my Niece Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, Shall be going on this brave journey" She raised her hoof "And three of the Elements of Harmony shall be joining the crew of the Pearl"

Twilight stood with Applejack and Rarity as they stood next to the Princess's
Twilight Smiled at the memory of that, She was named Captain of the Pearl

"Captain, We have been going around this storm for three days now" Said a brown pony walking up to her "We need to go through it"
"If we go through it, We won't make it out alive" She said standing her ground
"We must go through the storm! It is the only way we can cut our time on the sea" He said slamming his hoof on the deck "If we keep going around the storm we will never reach land"
She looked at the brown pony "Night storm, You know we have to make sure the Princess's our safe"
"With me and my crew working through the storm and you at the wheel we shall make it through the storm without a scratch" He said with a smile

"Let me speak with the Princess's about this" She made her way down the stairs and into captain's quarters, There she found. Rarity, Applejack, Luna and Cadence playing cards
"Twilight! How's the ship holding up?" Luna asked
"I need to speak with you about the storm" She said taking a seat next to Applejack
"What about the storm?"

"We have already lost three day's due to the storm, The crew think we should go through the storm"
Luna looked at Twilight then back at her cards "If the crew wishes to go through the storm then we shall go through the storm" Luna layed her cards down "Full house girls"
"How do you keep winning!" They all said putting their cards down
"Years of playing girls" She notice Twilight's face "If you wish to rest, I shall have Shinning take command of the ship"
Twilight looked at the Princess "No, As captain i shall lead this ship" She made her way back to the helm
"What are our orders Captain" Night Storm asked

"Were heading into the storm" She held her gaze on the storm
The Pearl went up and down waves thrashing around the ship, Twilight held the wheel
The crew held the sails in place as the waves crashed around the ship, Lightning strikes around the water rain poured down, The wind blowing around like wild
"MAELSTROM!" Yelled Night Storm
Last thing Twilight saw was darkness swallowing her ship and the crew

She slowly opened her eyes and looked around, She notice she was no longer on her ship anymore
"I see you're awake" Said a voice "I bet you're hungry" He hand her some grass and oats
She looked at the strange creature in front of her, His kinda long short hair hanged in front of his face, His brown eye's looking at her "Where am i?" She trying to figure out where she was

He was shocked to see her talking "You can talk?"
"Yes, I can talk" She looked around she then felt a sharp pain in her leg "My leg"
She pulled the blankets away from her legs and notice her leg was wrapped "Your leg is broken, You're lucky i know much about a horse body"
"I am not a horse i am a pony" She said glaring at him
"Sorry" He looked at her
"Am i the only one you found?"
"So far you're the only one i found, You crashed into my house" He pointed to the roof "If there our others.... Then let's pray they didn't land near the beach"
"What would happen if they landed on the beach?"

Applejack looked around as she felt her body hurting "What... What happened?"
"These things attacked us... They took us and locked us up inside these cells" Night Storm said "Only we made it out alive"
"Ya sayin' my friends are dead?"
"No, Rarity is alive, She's is still sleeping" He said "Twilight, Shining Armor and the Princess's are missing"
There was some banging noise before three ugly beast came to the cell door, Their teeth were covered in blood, They were paler than anything they have ever seen before. Their eyes were pure red. They threw down some water and walked away

"What do you mean they will eat them alive!" Twilight yelled
"They eat anything that comes near their territory" He said "If your friends are alive they will lock them up in the cells to keep them for future meals" Twilight notice the creatures was pulling out a bow and arrows "I shall go find out if your friends are alive, You'll be safe here"
"Before you go, What is your name?"
"Names Blaze Michaels, There are some books you can read and paper if you wish to write something down" Blaze went to grab a bag when something fell out of it
"Spike!" She looked as the small dragon landed on the ground
Spike was rubbing his head "Where am i?"
Blaze looked puzzled "He's with you?"
"Yes" She looked at the dragon "Spike what did you do to make yourself small?"
"Applebloom helped me make a position to make myself small so i could sneak onto the ship" He shook his head then looked around "The position will wear off soon and i shall grow back"
"I'll let you two talk, I'll be back as soon as i find your friends" Blaze left the two to talk

Blaze was held up in the woods watching the creatures eating what looked like ponies over an open fire, He looked up at the full moon in and sky "I'm so glad dad never let me eat meat" Blaze held his bow aiming towards the walls of the tribe, He let it fly slamming into wall, the rope tied to the arrow fell, Blaze made his way up the wall and into the tribe

Night Storm stood in front of Rarity his horn glowing "Come near me and i'll blast you back to hell!"
They saw a blade go right through the creatures, It fell to the ground "Do you know a Twilight?"
"She is our friend!" Applejack said running to the bars on the side of their cells "Is she alright?"
"She has a broken leg but she'll be fine" He said "Are you the only one's here?"
"As far as we know" Night Storm said
Blaze walked over to them and notice the wound on the white mare "How long has she been out?"
"About and hour i would say"

Blaze didn't like that "Can you carry her?"
"Yeah, But how do you plan on getting us out of here?"
"I've been here before, So i know there is a back door you can take that will lead to the ruins" He placed the sword on his side "Do not I mean it Do not stop running, Once you get there don't leave, Wait for me, I'll take you to Twilight" Blaze kicked open the cell door for Applejack "Wait for them to come after me, Then run towards the back towers"
"How do you plan on out running them?"
"I set some traps just outside of the tribe, Only i know where they are at"

Blaze pulled the touch that was in the cell You're lucky it's night, They suck at hunting at night" He looked at them "Besides, They love human flesh better than pony flesh" He took off running
"COME GET ME YOU HUNGRY BASTARDS!" Blaze yelled running out the front gates, Every last one of those things followed Blaze "Like moth to a flame"
Night Storm carried Rarity on his back as they ran into the forest

Blaze through the touch down on the ground and a giant fire wall flew up.He smiled as the flames grew higher "When you chase me, You'll be burning" He could hear them screaming, He watched as the rest backed away turning back and leaving him alone
Blaze ran into the forest heading towards the ruins

He ran for hours before he found the ruins

He looked around the old ruins "You here?"
"Yeah, We're here" He notice the orange pony was standing next to the white one
Blaze walked over and opened her eye's "They poisoned her, Lucky for you, I know a care for her" He looked to her leg
"Why would they poison her?" They both asked
"To make her taste better" he notice how they tried to wrap her leg "I need to clean out her wound, Can you two get me some herbs?"

"Whatcha need?" Applejack asked
Blaze pulled out a book "This journal has the herbs i need for the cure, One of you will need to take the book while the other gets some fresh water, Then i'll need some wood to make a fire"
"I can get the herbs" Night Storm said taking the book and running into the forest
"And i can help with the water and fire"

Blaze took off his shirt and started ripping it
Blaze then handed her his canteen "Fill that up with water and bring it back here"
Applejack took off into the forest
"You're already getting a fever" Blaze felt her forehead "You're burning up"
"Spikey-Wikey, Came save me" She whispered
Blaze tried not to laugh at the name "Don't worry, He'll save you just in time" He went to his bag and pulled out his first aid kit and started working on the wound

Night Storm went through the book and started grabbing anything that would be needed for the cure "These flowers are strange" He spoke to no pony "Wonder why they look so.... Evil"

He made his way back to the old ruins there he saw Applejack helping this thing with the fire
"I got the herbs" He hand Blaze the bag "I have never seen these flowers before. You sure they will help with a cure?"
"Yes, The flowers here can be poisonous if not made right" Blaze started smashing the flowers up in his hand and putting each flower inside the canteen "Now we just let it cook"

"How long till it's ready?"
"Not long" He said placing the the canteen near the fire "Right now she needs to stay warm, Her body will soon start to lose heat, Then she'll go into shock" Blaze looked at the two "It's a good thing i got to you when i did or they would be eating pony stew"

"Do you have any idea what those things are?" Applejack asked
"From the old text i got from the temple from these ruins, They are some kind of monster that were made to keep the island safe from armies, The text says that these things were named after the dead, for they ate the bodies of the dead" He looked over at the rumanes of the temple "The name to those things is missing so i just call them eaters"

Night Storm looked up at the sky and notice the stars were wrong "Did you guys come here my ship?"
"Yeah, We went into the storm" Night Strom said "That's the last thing i remember"
"Well your lucky Twilight crash through my roof" He said "Your crew wasn't so lucky, Sorry about them"

Applejack look down to the ground "They fought to the death, We are the only ones who managed to make it out alive" Strom said "I was trying to keep Applejack and Rarity safe when they attacked, Our ship is still on the beach"

"I'll head over that way in the morning, Right now we need to keep an eye on your friend for now" He looked to the white mare "Let's just pray that i made the right choice in moving you" he said to himself

"Sir, Your guest are here" Said a man in a suit of armor
"Are they the ponies i wanted?" Said the the voice
"Yes, The two princesses are here like you asked

"Good"
