"Hey you still with us?"

I am snapped out of my thoughts as a Thestrial I now know as Dusk Bane calls me to attention "Yeah I'm ready."

"You better be or else the two weeks we spent training shall be for nothing" she says as she jumps up onto the jutting rock. I do the same while being mindful of my activated sword which just barley illuminated the dark caves. As we walk my mind goes back to the mission details.

"Hey eyes up here!" Dusk Bane says to me "I don't want to repeat this got it." I give her a nod to continue on in which she rolls her eyes at. "Alright so our mission is to deactivate any traps and the shield that protects canterlot, then once the main army starts the attack Gregory will regroup with the Penitent One and Luna to go and eliminate Perfect Hatred."

I am snapped back to reality as we hear the sounds of talking and walking. We take cover and look towards Dusk. She then mimes out that there are two goblins and she wants me and Scootaloo to sneak up on them. We glance at each other and take our positions. It is over before they can even make a sound and we continue on. Our movement continues until we reach a blood red barrier and Dawn looks at me waiting for me to break the shield.

"Alright now we see what you really can do." Scootaloo says to me. "Heart if you would" in which she got a nod from the white unicorn and I am soon surrounded by a shield, but I am not given any time to think as it starts shrinking. at first I start to bring out my swords but I get a feeling that tells me to place my hand upon the shield and use my magic. I decide to follow the instinct and I am rewarded with my hand lighting up. eventually though waves of lights push a barrier made of rainbow in a oval shape until it becomes too much for Red Heart to handle and the bubble pops.

I follow the untold command and proceed to create a hole big enough for the two ponies to fit through. Once they are through I follow behind but turn to see the shield fill the hole back up in a instant. We continue along the predestined path until we reach a brick wall, in which Dawn goes up to the wall and at seemingly random pushed on three bricks and causes sounds of machinery and the brick wall opened up. As we walked into the sewer I noticed that their was no water flowing or any water at all, but we ignored the lack of it and continued to our objective all while trying to listen for any sounds that were out of the ordinary, But we did not hear anything all the way to the manhole cover that was next to our location. As agreed upon I was the first to exit, At which I saw nothing around I signaled for the others to follow me and as we moved I took in the view that was once Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, but I didn't let the sight hold me up as we entered the building. The plan proceeded to go along smoothly until we heard a shrill screech down the hallway that we were just leaving. I didn't wait for a signal for I knew it was time for plan B. My wings flashed out and I flew towards the Imp and slashed it in half. It burst into flames and disappeared without a ash left behind. We then rushed to the tower without caution for they surely knew that we were here.

We passed by many human sized demons that were shortly dealt with but we did not stay to fight those who were not in our way. Flames, slashes, and fireballs that were quickly parried accompanied us as we rushed our way towards the tower that held the shield, but eventually we found the tower and made our way into the large doorway. what we found was a machine that had a red beam coming out of the center, but in our way was a lumbering Mancubus. It instantly tried to fire upon us but I quickly parried the blast, which blew up in its face and caused the Mancubus to stumble back in pain but I kept up the attack and dashed towards it. I ripped out the power core that made this unholy thing live and shoved it down its ever hungering maw. Something in the core must be explosive because soon after the Mancubus exploded in a shower of gore. I then threw the two blade towards the heart of the machine that powered the machine. At the moment that it touched the magical artifact it caused a wave of hell magic to pass through us causing the two companions to fall on the floor and me to stagger back at the pure Malice that assaulted my senses. it took me a moment for me to recover but when we did we heard the unmistakable sound of thousands of ponies charging. I took one look at my companions and then took off to meet Twilight and Luna at the front gates, but I dreaded the fact that soon I will most likely be the last human left on the planet of Faust.

Luna's Pov

I steeled myself as I walked up to the ledge that makes the impromptu stage to give one last speech before we finally overcome the monster of our making. I notice The Penitent One joining me but I ignore her and displeasure with the subject of my speech.

"Hello ladies and gentlecolts, today we are gathered here to fight off a threat. A threat that many of you rightly fear and I too have the same fear, but as I found out through my long lived life it is not the absence of fear that makes us brave, but instead it is having fear and overcoming it for the right cause and let me assure all of you that we are truly on a just path for today we a facing an enemy that not only is more evil then all the foes we have faced put together but we face an enemy that has destroyed our life's, our loved one's, and has seriously injured if not killed our national hero's so that we may not stop him. But today we show the so called Perfect Hatred that united we are unbeatable, Together we can do feats that even we think are are impossible, TOGETHER WE CAN RESTORE PEACE AND HARMONY. LONG LIVE EQUESTRIA!" as to punctuate my statement a shattering is heard throughout the cavern that signaled the charge. As I step back from the cliff edge to sounds of "long live equestria" being spoken from every lip I turn to The Penitent One to notice that even though she wears a mask, her disapproval radiates from her every pore.

"I noticed how you never said about how this was our fault." she say with malice dripping from her every word.

"Yes and one day they shall learn but now we must meet with Gregory to finish what we have started." I said with finality and took off to do as I said.

Gregory's Pov

As I drew my sword from the remaining broken spider demon I notice Luna and Twilight land to the side of me. We all looked at each other and I kicked down the gates that led to the castle proper. As we made our through the castle we all expected for the castle to be filled with demons but it was empty. The other things we all noticed as continued on our trek was that any and all items depicting Celestia, Luna, or the main six have been violently destroyed. The emptiness and destruction continued until we got to the throne room and saw Jason with only his face covering off staring outside towards Canterlot.

"So you have finally arrived, and you brought the traitor and the hypocrite with you." Jason said with a melancholic nearly bored voice.

"Yes but we don't need to fight just let me banish the dark entity that controls your mind." I pleaded with him

"You know if I had just been offered some of that kindness when I first arrived, Instead of being treated like the monster I have now become this would never happened." as he paused I could see twilight start crying. "but now I know that you have chosen the side that beat me, humiliated me, and LIED TO ME!" he says as he turns towards us and I see a scar running down his eye, but instead of being completely white it is instead a dark purple with a bright purple spot being his pupil. "you have to die." In a instant his face mask rematerialized and he blitzed towards me at nearly imperceivable speed, but I reacted just in time and dodged to the left. deciding not to let him control the pace of battle I try to slash down but I am intercepted and I feel a boot land on my chest. I do a backflip and land back on my feet if not a distance from Jason and look back towards him to see that already he has dealt with Luna and Twilight and a barrage of blades thrown at me. I parry them away from me and the bewildered Alicorns. I keep moving forward through this attack until I am right in his face. I go for a lunge towards him, but it was a carless move for I see that he held his blade pointed down straight towards me. I try to backpaddle and feel as if I am doomed, but the sting never comes as the blade sinks into his chest.

I Stumble backwards as I had not expected him to not deal an attack and I watch as he stumble backwards and down to his knees.

Jasons/Perfect Hatreds pov

I notice the bitch first and then the naive human along with the hypocrite. Just the sight of her makes my blood boil and I welcome them but all the while the Nightmare is speaking in my head.

"Enough of this foolishness we must destroy the enemy before they get a chance to finish-" The entity tries to say but while I am speaking but is interrupted when the Human says his piece. Both me and the entity are baffled by this proclamation that we stand silent for a moment, but it is soon overcome by barely contained rage with something else that I can't quite put my finger on. I never truly move past this confusion even when my anger spikes when I remember what they have done to me, even when I make my attacks against my enemy, and even when I feel the satisfaction of kicking The hypocrite into the traitor. I continue on the attack until I remember what it that emotion I had been feeling was. It was Empathy. The shock and shame that hit me when I realized that I had forgotten left me defenseless for a single moment, but all it took was that single moment for me to feel a sharp pain coming from my gut.

"YOU IDIOT WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!?!" I heard the entity scream in my ear. "NOW GIVE ME COMPLETE CONTROL SO I CAN DEFEAT THES VERMIN!"

"no" I thought back to the parasite

"No? NO! OH OH HO! You must have thought that was a question when in fact. IT WAS A COMMAND!" I felt a massive headache form and almost like I was falling asleep and as this happened and I struggled to stay awake I had a thought that filled me with dread. This nightmare is a parasite that feeds off of negative emotion, then I have been giving it the feast of godamned lifetime. "Good good go to sleep and once you wake up you will be one step closer to you're revenge." The host whispered in my head before I eventually lost consciousness.

Gregory's pov

As I fully recognized what I had done I tried to say something but I was soon interrupted by a sound coming from Jason himself

" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Perfect Hatred started and all I could do was was stand back in shock but that was not all it did as it tore off the helmet. I saw that underneath the helmet was a purple looking devil creature and it proceeded to slide the sword out of its gut. I knew the moment Hatred took off its helmet Jason had truly died so I prepared myself to face this mockery of a human, but I was not prepared enough as the thing flew towards me grasping my head as I was dragged across the floor. After is dragged me all the way to the entrance It then proceeded to smash my head into the marble once, twice, thrice, and finally with the fourth time the demon manage break through the floor. We must have gone to a guest room because I landed on a mattress breaking it.

I didn't have time to get my bearings as I was tossed through a glass door onto a balcony. I saw Perfect Hatred start to walk up to slowly and so I tried to throw one of my blades but in a move that was so fast I couldn't even keep track of it I saw Hatred dodge it.

"Ohh I am going to love hearing you scream." Hatred said in a voice that sounded like two voices speaking at once and pressed down with it's boot onto my chest. I screamed as I could feel that my bones were beginning to break, I screamed as my heart was being crushed, and I screamed as I saw the end ever approaching. But it never came as suddenly the boot was lifted off my chest. I looked to the demon to find that it had one of my swords sticking out of its chest, with Twilight with sword in hoof hanging off the beast.

"I failed one Human but I will not fail another." she said as she fell to the ground unconscious

I watched in astonishment as the beast fell and slowly transformed back into Jason and crawl to the ledge. I got up slowly and sat next to him as he coughed up blood.

"I forgive you." he said with a tiredness beyond his years. "its a beautiful sunset isn't it" he said as the life drained from him and soon his eyes too died. As I sat there listing to the cheers a song started to play and I picked him up. I saw the destruction I had made of the thrown room and the pain Jason expressed through his destruction of the castle. I walked passed goblins who once they saw that their master was dead fled the area. Once I reached the gate I flew. as I flew I saw ponies who celebrated that they had been freed from the tyranny of Perfect Hatred. Sights of that continued until I was too high up to see any pony's and I still flew higher. I flew until I reached the tops. I then gathered wood and started arraigning them and finally once I gathered all the wood I set Jason upon the pyre and I lit it and then the guilt hit me

"WHY WHHYYY WHYYYYYY!!!!!!" I yelled out demanding answers with my tears running like a broken damn down my face but knowing that I would never get them. I laid there weeping even when Twilight showed up and offered her own, When Luna came and told of her shame at never having checked on him and at her responsibility for the storming of the castle, even Celestia showed up and offered her guilt at sending him to die in that god forsaken town, And even after the star came up and the moon trailed across the skies I laid there weeping but as all things I eventually ran out of tears to shed and I looked upon the coming dawn with sadness for I knew that I had damned my self to eternal life of loneliness.

And that is the end to this story and a end to one that I enjoyed writing at the very least. but this is not my last foray into Jason verse as I have a new story that is set in the Emperor Jason timeline that I hope you all will enjoy. but until next time goodbye and if I never see you again good morning, good afternoon, and good night thank you.
