A Talk With A Bully

Diamond’s confession

Previous Chapter

Silver Spoon and Diamond walked up to the school building the next morning, the light pink filly stole a glance at her best friend as they went inside.

“All right class, please take your seats,” Ms Cheerilee chopped, bubbling with enthusiasm. “Today we will talk about bullying.”

Diamond shrunk down in her seat as Ms Cheeriee walked around the room, giving out papers.

“Diamond,” Ms Cheeriee said, looking down at the empty chair that had been previously occupied. “You are going to get extra lessons from me after school.”

The rich filly sat back down in her seat, folding her hooves and looking disappointed.

“But I didn’t do anything wrong, it was their fault,” Diamond innocently said, pointing to the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

“It was all her, she was bullying us, we didn’t do anything,” Sweetie objected.

“That’s enough, from both of you, I will talk to you when class is over,” Ms Cheeriee said, going back to her desk.

It had been a couple of hours since Diamond and Sweetie had exchanged any words.

As the school bell rang, signaling the end of the day, Ms. Cheerilee watched as the last student left the classroom. She let out a weary sigh as she walked to her desk and sat down, the weight of the day settling heavily on her shoulders.

Diamond sat at her desk, her head bowed, only looking up when Ms. Cheerilee approached her.

The teacher's expression was stern as she looked down at the light pink filly.

"Diamond, do you understand what you have done?" Ms. Cheerilee asked, her voice firm but not unkind, as she addressed the young student.

"But I didn’t do anything wrong, I was just kidding around with Apple Bloom," Diamond protested, glancing up at her teacher, her tone defensive.

The rich filly finally looked at Ms. Cheerilee her eyes filled with a mixture of frustration and apprehension.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Cheeriee, I didn't mean anything by it," Diamond stammered, her words tumbling out in a rush. "Please don't tell my mother."

"I have no choice but to let her know what happened," Ms. Cheerilee said with a heavy heart, knowing the impact her words would have on the young filly.

As Diamond walked out of the door with her head down and a few tears streaming down her face, Ms. Cheeriee sighed heavily, feeling the weight of her responsibility as a teacher.

With a heavy heart, Ms. Cheerilee got up and walked out of the schoolhouse door, closed it gently behind her, and began the lonely walk to the opulent Rich family mansion.

Arriving at the mansion, Ms. Cheerilee knocked on the door and was greeted by an elderly Stallion, who welcomed her inside, the imposing grandeur of the mansion looming over her.

“I would like to know if I can talk with Ms. Spoiled Rich,” Cheerilee said to the elderly Stallion, who nodded and walked off.

Cheeriee looked around at her surroundings in awe, after a few minutes, the Stallion came back with Spoiled Rich.

“Ah, Ms. Cheeriee, what brings you here, if I may ask?” Spoiled asked, putting on a fake smile.

“I'm here because I need to talk to you about Diamond, she has been bullying the CMC as you know, but I have a question, what are you going to do about it?” Cheerilee asked.

Spoiled hesitated before answering. “Well, I don't know, I've been trying to tell her that it's wrong to bully, but I don't think that she listened to me.”

Cheeriee let out a sigh of exasperation but forced a smile to appear on her face.

“Yeah, well maybe you could be more strict with her,” She suggested.

“HOW DARE YOU TELL ME HOW I SHOULD RAISE MY DAUGHTER?!” Spoiled seethed in hot anger.

Cheeriee stood her ground as Spoiled continued to yell at her.

Diamond walked through to the door as her mother kept yelling.

Spoiled looked to the door at her daughter.

“Diamond, where were you? Your teacher tells me that you've been bullying the CMC, is this true?”

Diamond didn't say anything as she looked at Ms. Cheeriee with a disappointing look, before running upstairs.

Cheerilee looked at Spoiled with an angered look in her eyes before leaving.

Spoiled came upstairs to hear her daughter crying in her room, like she drone for days now, she did not know what to do at this point.

Why was it hard to raise her daughter? Spoiled felt so uncomfortable with her own life, if her husband were still here, he would know what to do with Diamond, but he was not here, she sometimes wished that it had happened to her and not to him, why did he have to die, why did it happen to him?

Spoiled walked into her husband's old bedroom, lay down on his bed, and sobbed loudly.

“Mom, what’s wrong?” Diamond asked as she stood in the doorway.

Spoiled looked up, her eyes red from crying.

“I'm fine,” she lied.

“I'm so sorry, Mom,” Diamond suddenly said.

“You did not do anything wrong,” Spoiled said.

"I'm deeply sorry, Mom," Diamond confessed tearfully. "I feel like a terrible daughter because I bullied the Cutie Mark Crusaders due to their disabilities, and I'm especially ashamed of how I treated Apple Bloom because of her visual and auditory impairments. I can't believe how I acted towards them." Diamond's voice wavered with regret as she shared her feelings with her mother.

“Well, I think that you don't have to be sorry for what happened!” Spoiled whispered in her daughter’s ear, before getting up and walking out the door as her daughter lay on the bed.

Spoiled watched her daughter cry on the bed from the doorway, then she simply walked away, smiling as she walked out the door of her mansion.

Spoiled walked through town to the outskirts of Ponyville, once she reached the graveyard, she sat down before her husband's grave.

"Oh, Filthy, I don't know what to do, it's hard without you here," Spoiled cried as she hugged the grave.
