Love takes many forms

The date is June 10, 2003, and I’m going be honest for a while I’ve had a crush on Fluttershy. It's just that she's a very nice person as well as kind. She’s compassionate, she’s caring, she’s outgoing, she's amazing. I don’t know how to tell her. I never actually told her I am a lesbian, yet my brother is the only one who knows. I don’t know if she likes girls or not and I don’t wish to throw anything on her that would be rude. Also, while the hive guard doesn’t outlaw any laws against romantic relationships from the guards as long as it doesn’t impact their job. They might not approve of a guard or a civilian from another guard being together. I would also have to deal with my parents. I know they’re against inter-species and same sex relationships. They would also not approve of me dating a civilian from another country but it’s my choice, nevertheless.

I still wish to tell her how I feel but I’m just a bit nervous. If I do tell her it will have to be soon. She’s leaving today. She’s coming over to my apartment to say goodbye.

I heard a knock at the door I walked in and opened it to see Fluttershy with a smile on her face. Oh, that smile it always brightens up my day with how genuine it is.

“Why hello Fluttershy it’s good to see you please come in. I made breakfast.” I spoke.

“Oh, that’s very thoughtful of you.” Fluttershy smiled warmly.

“Well, I can’t have you leaving on an empty stomach. It is not the changeling way to not provide hospitality.” I spoke.

“I’ll really miss you, Amber.” Fluttershy said a little sad.

“I’ll miss you two Fluttershy.” I spoke.

“But don’t worry we can still keep in contact. We can write to each other.” Fluttershy seemingly cheering up at the idea.

I smiled at that. “That idea is quite delightful.” I spoke.

“So, what did you make for breakfast anyhow.” Fluttershy asked.

“Some hive toast and some berries.” I said knowing how much she loves hive toast.

“Wonderful!” She cheered delightedly then calmed herself down.

We then began to eat the sugary taste of the toast alongside the fruity taste of the berries hit my tongue.

I enjoyed having breakfast with Fluttershy. She's the best mare I’ve ever met. We then sat down on the couch, and I noticed that Fluttershy was acting a bit…weird.

“Fluttershy are you alright.” I was a bit concerned.

“I’m alright.” Fluttershy said, trying to brush it off.

“Fluttershy I know you. You can tell me.” I spoke.

“It’s just that you are clearly very accepting though I don’t want to startle you.” She spoke.

“Where are you going with this?” I asked.

“Well you see Amber throughout the time we’ve spent together I’ve realized how kind and outgoing you are. As well as uhm how pretty you are and I might just have a bit of a cursh on you.” She blushed.

I was in shock she likes me to. I can’t believe that I felt the warmth in my heart. And I let out a dorky smile. “Well you see Fluttershy for a while now I have found you to be very outgoing and kind too and I sorta developed a crush on you for a few months now.” I said.

“W…what?” Fluttershy asked in shock.

“Well when I met you I realized how kind and outgoing you really are and I also found you to be beautiful just the way you are and I just started to.. to like you.

We both blushed like school girls and I asked a very in the moment question.

“Uhm Fluttershy would it be alright if I kiss you?” I asked politely.

She smiled warmly, “You’d do that for me.” She said with her eyes bright.

“Of course Fluttershy.” I said. We then leaned and kissed and I felt a feeling I’ve never felt before. I like it.

Sadly Fluttershy has to go home but that doesn’t mean we can’t see each other or possibly develop things from here.

“I may have to go back home but I still wouldn’t mind writing to you especially if we have shared feelings.” Fluttershy said with a big smile.

“Yes we can still have a relationship and I wouldn't mind that.” I said happily.
