Well, that's over

Previous Chapter

Sunset dropped down onto her bed, stretching out her aching hooves and muscles as she sighed contently, idly twirling a quill in her teal aura.

“Well, that’s over,” Sunset muttered to herself and she yawned. “Gotta send Celestia a letter too now. Joy to the freaking world.”

Sunset glanced as somepony knocked on her door and it was opened to reveal the silver pegasus shifting on her hooves.

“What’s up Silverspeed?” Sunset asked as she started to write on a piece of paper.

“Are you busy?” Silverspeed questioned, her purple eyes flicking around the room anxiously. Sunset shook her head and waggled a hoof in the air.

“Nah, just finishing up this letter to Celestia. You?”

“Nothing. Just got done hanging out with Fern and I introduced to some ponies around town,” Silverspeed answered and licked her lips. “Can I sleep with you tonight?”

“What’s wrong with your bed? Nightmare again or something? That dragon was kinda scary,” Sunset conceded and finished writing, putting her quill down. “I’ll send the letter later. Come on.”

Sunset rolled on her flanks as she levitated the blanket up, tapping the bed with a hoof.

Silverspeed resembled a blur instead of a pony as she laid down next to Sunset draping a foreleg over Sunset’s barrel and a hind leg over her cutie mark as the blanket dropped over them.

“You’re warm,” Silverspeed noted and Sunset chuckled quietly.

“Mhm. Shush and go to sleep, Silvie.”

Silverspeeds turned a faint pink but nodded as Sunset’s horn flashed, shutting the lights off and Silverspeed laid there, idly listening to Sunset’s soft snoring. Sunset always impressed her and her friends with how fast she can fall asleep. Even Trixie was impressed.

“I really, really love you,” Silverspeed nuzzled the unicorns mane with a sigh. “I’ll probably never be able to tell you when you’re actually able to hear me but holy Celestia does it feel nice to say.”

Silverspeed gave a tired sigh before glancing at the letter Sunset abandoned in favor of sleep and closed her eyes to join the other mare.
