It has been over a year since Flurry Heart has established herself in The Crystal Empire and yet nothing changed. No matter how kind, no matter how grand, she could never bring real change to the order of things. Yet after a seemingly spontaneous break of war happens in the empire she learns just how bad things really are.

She now has to do everything she can to make sure ponies don’t die around her, yet she can’t help but think if it's even possible to help at all, at least she hopes she can, despite being far away at least she has Uncle and Aunt. Right?
