Tales From A Pie: Halloween Edition

Twilight screamed and a purple light covered her and Pinkie.

Poof!

They were gone as the snakes passed by them.

"Hmm, a magical fellow, I see." Coman said smiling. "I guess two can play that game."
His smile disappeared as he turned toward Rainbow, Applejack, and Fluttershy. "You two, I want you to get at least ten more people. I can feel my power going strong every minute."

"Yes Mr.Coman sir." the three ponies said and suddenly snakes were flying all over the place.

"Like I said Nancy, there is this big guy with snakes coming out of his body." Lyra explained.

"Yeah." Bonbon. "It's like wicked crazy."

"Totally."

Nancy, a blue pony with crimson blue eyes looked at the ponies in confusing.

"I wonder how he would've been able to create that." Nancy said in her usually soft voice.

"It's like the snakes are real." Bonbon said staring into the night sky.

"You may as well be right." Lyra said, considering the idea.

"It's like that creature Zecora was talking to everyone about." Nancy recalled back to what Zecora had said. No one knows what it was but it was a snake, Zecora's voice said in her mind. "I think I have a book about that, I think it's name is..." Her eyes grew wide. She immediately shook the thought away, but it kept on lingering to her mind. "Coman..."

"I wonder why he's called that..." Lyra said thoughtfully.

"SNAKES SNAKES EVERYWHERE!" a pink pony said running by, her hoofs on her head. "THE HORROR! THE HORROR!"

"Hurry, head to my house, we are safe there hopefully." Nancy said.

Nancy, Lyra, and Bonbon rushed towards Nancy's blue and yellow house. The windows had blue shades over them and were shut tight. Nancy opened the blue door and went inside, with Lyra and Bonbon following right behind.

"It's too dark!" Bonbon complained in a childish voice.

"Shh." Nancy said.

They all waited for what seemed like three minutes, hearing the cries of other ponies outside as they screamed more and more about snakes. Soon loud slithering was heard and Bonbon and Lyra hugged each other. They tried to find Nancy but they couldn't see through the darkness. Lyra whimpered as the slithering began for one more minute and soon slowed down, as if whatever was out there was getting farther and farther away.

Soon the lights went on. The room was a mess! The white walls were the only clean thing in the house. Books and papers were thrown around everywhere.

"What is with this mess?" Bonbon said, disgusted when she saw some green slime on the middle of a stack of papers.

"This, is where I fight some mythical creatures or what you might call it 'monsters'." Nancy said walking behind Lyra and making her jump on top of Bonbon.

Bonbon pushed Lyra off her and got up.

"Ah, I see, I do recall your house being clean." Bonbon said. "Why do you have this monster-fighting house?"

"No, no, no. This isn't only a monster fighting house." Nancy said. "This is where I also keep books of mythical creatures.

She opened a door that was at the right corner of the room and entered. A few seconds later she came out with a book.

"This is the book of mythical creatures." Nancy said.

The book was very huge and it surprised Bonbon that Nancy could carry that on her own without needing help of two other ponies. She figured that monster hunters must be strong in order to hunt. That's how Nancy got her cutie mark, after all.

Nancy flipped through the book. After a few seconds she stopped at a page. She skimmed through it and her eyes grew wide.

"He's back." she whispered.

"Who?" Bonbon said looking at Nancy, waiting for her to spill the beans.

"Here." Nancy said laying the book on the floor as Lyra and Bonbon looked at it.

"Coman." Lyra said. "A mythical creature that attacked around thirty years ago. He was seen in Halloween, or as we ponies call it, Nightmare Night. He wasn't very strong. He only got to two ponies at that time, but the two ponies escaped. He was seen with snakes darting out of his body. It is said that the two ponies had to do a ritual to bring back Coman. No one knows what happened to the two ponies when Coman was defeated, but they disappeared. It is also said that if Coman successfully gets thirteen ponies, his power would rise so high, that no magic can stop him."

The other half of the page was torn apart.

"That's horrible!" Bonbon said.

"Do you t-t-t-think...?" Lyra stammered.

"I'm afraid so." Nancy said sadly.

"Oh dear." Bonbon said. "If there was only one way to stop him..." She recalled the book saying "no magic can stop him".
Luckily he still didn't get thirteen ponies yet, Bonbon hoped.

Lyra also got the message.

"Why, Twilight can stop him before he can get to thirteen." Lyra said hopefully.

"But the only problem is... Where is she?" Nancy said looking at Bonbon and Lyra.

"Quick in here." Twilight gestured Pinkie silently, and Pinkie hurried inside.

They were in the tower where Princess Celestia had told Twilight where the Elements of Harmony are being stored in.

"Find a light switch." Twilight ordered impatiently.

The light turned on.

"Thanks." Twilight said.

"But I didn't..." Pinkie said with a confused expression in her face.

Suddenly, Twilight felt something slither down her back. She closed her eyes tight and turned around.

"Hey Twilight, how's the magic working out for ya?" Rainbow Dash said, the snakes brushing Twilight's mane.

"Oh don't worry about these darlings." Fluttershy said, appearing at the end of the tower room, her snakes holding a beautiful red box. "I'm sure Coman will like them."

"Give those back." Twilight said gritting through her teeth.

"Shh, now." Rainbow softly whispered. "You don't want to get your friends mad don't you?"

Pinkie was frozen in fear, her mouth wide open at the scene.

"Y-y-your magic." Pinkie Pie managed to say.

"Quiet you." Rainbow Dash snarled. That made Pinkie yelp.

"Don't worry, the master will take care of you." Fluttershy said.

She and Rainbow Dash flew away laughing crazily.

"Why didn't you use your magic?" Pinkie said, as soon as she was out of her trance.

"I-I couldn't." Twilight muttered. "It's like those snakes were limiting my magical ability."

"We have to get to the town before the get there."

"Right ahead of you."

Twilight and Pinkie looked around. Everything seemed abandoned. No pony was in sight.

"I hope they got to a safe place." Twilight prayed softly.

"How nice of you to join me." a sinister voice said from behind.

Pinkie and Twilight turned around.

Coman looked at them with wide, happy eyes.

"Thanks for the gift." Coman said, holding out the red box.

"How?" Pinkie said. "Twilight's teleportation is faster than anything!"

"Not that fast for my ponies." Coman said with a wicked smile on his face.

"Watch this is the best part." Rainbow Dash said appearing next to Pinkie. She felt the soft skin of the snakes slither across her body. She completely stood frozen in place.

"You too." Fluttershy cooed. The snakes brushed Twilight's mane and wrapped itself on her horn.

Twilight couldn't move no matter how hard she tried.

"Elements of Harmony, eh?" Comon said. "We'll see about that."

He opened the box and a bright, white light shone into his face.

His eyes turned green and it flashed into the box. After a moment the white light turned black.

Coman laughed hysterically.

"Behold, The Elements of Evil!" he said and showed the box to the shocked Twilight and Pinkie.

There wasn't the colorful crowns that were usually there. Now all of them were black.

"You monster." Twilight managed to say. "You are too..."

"Powerful?" Coman said snickering. He took one of the crown and placed it on his head. He handed the other to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash who quickly were by his side in less than a second.

A black mist surrounded them as Fluttershy finished putting on her crown.

"But, they only work with six..." Twilight said with a surprised look on her face.

"Who needs the rest?" Coman said.

The took the three remaining crowns and they vanished.

"Ah, full power. Didn't even need thirteen other ponies." Coman said and laughed.

"You won't get away with this!" Twilight said. "Evil never wins!"

"Oh really?" Coman said surprised at Twilight's determination.

Twilight took Pinkie Pie and ran away.

"Run little piggies! But you can't hide!"
