Cross Purposes
Puzzle-addict office drone Jack is tired of carrying Troy's weight. If the slacker doesn't get a job and start making rent soon, he's gone. Unless something changes Jack's mind...
Troy is a slob. Troy is a slacker. Troy is an inconsiderate deadbeat. Troy is... a puzzle maker?
Working stiff Jack is surprised when his slovenly roommate announces he's sold his first crossword puzzle. As a puzzle addict himself, Jack never though the terminally uncreative Troy had it in him.
You could say he's puzzled when Troy offers to let him have first crack at it during lunch break.
