You are one of them but you sat on a bench and you’re at the park. Today was supposed to be you spending time with your stepbrother Frostbite, about how you realize you had a stepsibling is a story for another time. Now here you are about to stroll the park and couldn’t think of something to do but another problem is that you don’t want to attract attention for you somehow have a bit of less self confidence. “I guess I better go home.” You thought and that is when you’re about to pass a lamp post. You stopped for a moment as a poster was pasted on the lamp post itself that caught your eyes. On the poster were Kiwi Lollipop and Supernova Zap, your favorite band PostCrush, will be performing here at Canterlot Park this coming weekend. In addition to their performance it also says that they will hold a singing contest after and the winner will get to spend the entire day with PostCrush themselves. The event that will be held pumped you up since you really want to meet them up close after listening to their songs. One problem is that you never experience any love life yet and this is one of the reasons why you don’t have any self confidence when going out with girls. You quickly head on home to start practicing and how lucky you are that school is out and you got the whole week to prepare. Upon returning to your step brother's house where you are staying, you are busy browsing through your phone which song you will sing at the contest. You can’t decide for it wasn’t indicated in the poster a specific genre of song to use. You cannot miss this opportunity if you are lucky or the opposite. It wasn’t long until you heard the sound of a vehicle outside the house. You go look and see Frostbite parking his van and he brings a girl with him. You recall your step brother showing you a picture of him with his girlfriend, Pinkie Pie was her name for you to meet her. Your mouth felt dry for a moment and you went downstairs to the kitchen. “So I think of a chimichanga but how about we use cherries instead and I call it chimicherry or about cherrychanga oh hi Frostbite’s step brother. Chimicherry, cherrychanga-” You were surprised that Frostbite’s girlfriend knew who you are even though he said before he hadn't mentioned you to her yet. Now you’re even wondering how your step sibling can handle her, not that you dislike it. “You are going to enter PostCrush’s singing contest!? Hey about going through all that trouble why don’t I just introduce you to them since Sunset and I-” “If you’re going to, how about I prefer something warm for you to drink instead and keep you away from carbonated drinks.” How did those two know you will be entering the contest since you haven’t brought that up. You turned around and saw the poster Frostbite’s hand with his other hand covering Pinkie Pie’s mouth, realizing upon arriving you passed by the kitchen earlier to grab something to eat but you changed your mind and placed the poster on the table and forgot to take it with you. “Yes I am,” You said then you recall what Pinkie said. “Hold on, so you were close to PostCrush themselves?” “Yeah it just starts when me, Sunset Shimmer and the others are at the Starswirl Festival and that’s when we which I mean me and Sunset found out they have a magic artifact called the Time Twirler to restart the day over and over again-” “Pinkie you don’t need to tell everything that happened, I doubt he will understand.” Frostbite said while sorting out the groceries he brought with him which made you wonder what he meant that you will not understand. “Sorry Frosty! About me knowing K-Lo and Su-Z how about I call them right now!” She said after taking her phone out from her hair. “NO!!” You stopped her. “Sorry, I don’t want any shortcuts and I don't want them to think I’m just another fan wanting to meet them upfront. Thanks for the offer but I prefer to do this fair and square by winning that singing contest.” “Oohhhhh…If say so.” The bubbly girl then placed her phone inside her poofy hair instead. “Why did you put it in your hair?” “Where?” “In there.” “In where?” “There! You began to doubt but you felt Frostbite’s hand on your shoulder as he whispered it's better you don’t mind or even question how she acts because he did the same thing and gave up. “I almost forgot. Since you’ll be entering the singing contest, use this song.” Pinkie took her phone out from her hair again. After searching for a bit she showed you the song you will use and made you listen to it if this is to your liking. You do have a passion for music but you kept that to yourself because of the lack of confidence. You are nervous but joining this singing contest may change everything, you hope so. The day of the PostCrush performance at Canterlot Park arrives. You are among the audience cheering for K-Lo and Su-Z after they sang their last song. “Thank you all for coming tonight,” K-Lo said while waving to all her and Su-Z’s fans. “Now it’s time for the next part of the event…and that is ‘The Singing Contest’.” “The rules are simple: You can sing any song to your liking,” Su-Z explains. “The judges will be none other than the two of us and whoever wins the contest the prize is none other than spending the whole day with us, PostCrush.” A member of the staff called out to those who will be participating in the contest as you follow them backstage. “Alright, you got this. Just do your best out there and if you win, you finally get to meet them. You can do it.” That is what you’ve been thinking while you are waiting for your turn. But then- “OH MY GOD I CAN’T DO THIS!!” “Hey, kid.” “NO, I SURRENDER!” You startled as a hand touched your shoulder only to see its one or the security guards. “Your next.” This is it, either you run like a wimp or face it like a man. After taking a deep breath and calming down you made your final decision. “Okay moving on to our next contestant.” Your name is called as you step out into the spotlight in front of all the crowd. The one who called out your name was Kiwi as Post Crush was in the middle sitting in front of the audience. “Sunset looky, there he is! Hey, over here!” A familiar voice called out to you. Among the crowd you see Pinkie Pie and she seems to have brought a friend with her. Too bad your step brother couldn't come for some reason leaving you by yourself, almost. You took one deep breath for there is no turning back now. How lucky of you but you didn’t get cocky and kept focus with your singing. The song finally ended and the crowd cheered. You see PostCrush very impressed and Pinkie Pie with her friend giving you a thumbs up. The contest however wasn’t over for there are a few more contestants left as you exit the stage. You waited calmly but shaking if you had a chance of winning. As the last contestant finished with their song. You hear the voices of PostCrush as they announce the top picks of the contest for you are one of them. “Only one of you will win this contest-” Su-Z said. “And will get to spend a day with us.” K-Lo added. You are excited once they call out your name. If it wasn’t for your lack of confidence and doubting yourself it then came to part of your mind that you’re expecting too much after hearing the other contestants with the songs of their choice. If you lose so be it, you did try though. “Hey, can you hear me!” A familiar voice is calling out to you while you are in your thoughts, as you come to your senses. Right in front of you, Kiwi Lollipop is so close that you get startled. “You’re just standing, are you okay?” “Sorry, I-” You don’t know what words to use as you see Su-Z, and everyone else had their eyes all on you. It’s obviously you lost and you need to get out of the way of the winner. “I guess I’ll just be off, bye.” “Wait a minute.” K-Lo grabbed your arm, preventing you from leaving. “Where are you going?” “I lost, didn’t I?” “No silly, you won!” Su-Z corrected you. “Huh?” “I get it now.” K-Lo let go of your arm. “He is just lost for words and very excited about his prize, right?” (THUD!) All of a sudden your step brother enters your room. “I heard you scream what happened!?” He asked. “Please tell me this is happening and that I’m not dreaming that I’m going to spend the whole day with PostCrush and I need your help and also why are you covered in popcorn?” “I was supposed to have a midnight snack then that is when I heard you. Also congratulations on winning the contest.” “Yes I know I won but I didn’t even planned with them what time, where should we meet or what should I even wear-” “Oh don’t worry I gave them your number and theirs is already saved on your phone. You left the house early to avoid keeping them waiting, you left a little too early but better play safe than not. You are in the middle of checking your list of things all three of you will do and while walking you felt something got stuck underneath one of your shoes. You lifted your shoe and saw a small rock stuck underneath it as you took it out but noticed something odd about it. You wiped the dirt off with your handkerchief which is not really a rock but a beautiful colored stone. You somehow liked what you have found but part of your thoughts said this could be one of those that are man made. It may sound silly that you entered a nearby pawnshop and decided to sell the stone if it’s worth it or you're just making a fool out of yourself. “I’ll tell you what I’ll give you $3000 for this.” The owner said after examining it. . “Uh…uh…sold?” You exited the pawnshop and after hearing those words that the rock you sold was worth a fortune which hit you in the face, mentally. You shook it off as you headed to the meeting place. You arrived at the park and at the same time K-Lo and Su-z arrived with a small purple dog with them. “Seems like we are all here then,” K-Lo said. “Yes and about the dog?” “She’s mine.” Su-Z picked up the small dog. “This is Princess Thunderguts.” “That’s one hell of a name for a pet.” You thought. “So what is the plan for today?” “Actually we don’t.” “I thought I’ll be spending a day with you guys to do what you will be doing?” “Well there’s a change of plan. To be fair with the winner we decided to spend time with the things you want.” You were both happy and getting butterflies in your stomach for this wasn’t to what you were expecting. Something pops up in your mind and you take out your phone for a moment. It took awhile and after browsing the first stop will be the pet store and the nearest one is at Canterlot Mall. “The pet store?” Su-Z asked. “Yes, something that can benefit both you and your dog.” “Aww you shouldn't have.” “Well you two seem to be getting along,” K-Lo interrupted. “Don’t forget that I’m still here.” “Are you by any chance jealous?” Su-Z wrapped her arms around yours “NO, because it's clear to spend a day with both of us, not you only!” K-Lo did the same on the other side. While two are going back and forth with each other, you on the other hand are uncomfortable now being sandwiched between two girls. The other thing that makes you uncomfortable is that you three are getting attention from passersby and from your point of view which may not look like it but whoever is a fan of Post Crush will get pretty jealous about you being with them, especially the males. “Grr what the hell is up with that guy?” “I can’t believe what I’m seeing, he is with Post Crush?” “It should have been me, not him, it's just not fair!” That’s what you thought that they’re saying in their heads and instead you try and think of happy thoughts. At Canterlot Mall You and Su-Z finished what you bought at the pet store and regrouped with Kiwi who was waiting outside. “You bought a baby stroller?” K-Lo questions. “No silly it's a doggie stroller now I don’t have to worry if Princess Thunder Guts gets lost if she’s not wearing her leash.” Su-Z happily replies as she sees her dog enjoying its new ride. “He even also bought a portable doggie water bottle and even a new chew toy.” “That’s hard to believe he bought those with his money.” K-Lo then didn’t notice the sale poster by the window. “Nevermind.” “Anything or place you want to go?” You asked as you three left the pet store. “Nothing in particular.” “I think I know where we can go next.” Kiwi questions where you three are planning to go next and upon arriving it's at a music shop. You two left Supernova-Zap having her dog enjoy the gifts you bought. After looking through the number of displayed guitars, you found the right one, a pink electric guitar. “I didn’t know you could play a guitar?” “Actually this isn’t for me.” You handed the guitar over. “I’m buying it for you.” “I-uh…” K-Lo was taken aback by the guitar. You see she’s blushing and then regains herself. “But I already have a guitar.” “I mean there is nothing wrong with having a backup guitar. That’s for if in case you misplaced or you don’t have your original one with you” You have a point as Kiwi played the guitar a little then finally got the feeling and into the beat. You see Kiwi but from the angle and her position you realized you were lying on her lap as you quickly got up. “Hey take it easy, are you sure you’re okay?” K-Lo asked concerned. “I’m fine,” You said. “All I remember is that you pushed me and I ended up hitting something.” “I pushed you straight into a drum set that’s on display.” “Please tell me there wasn't any damage.” “No, no damages.” “Wait, where is Supernova?” She pointed to Su-Z who is playing fetch with Princess Thunder Guts with its new chew toy. The three decided to take a breather before going to your next stop. “I was meaning to ask why all of a sudden you two decided to spend time with me instead?” “It’s about that song you used at the contest, it kind of relates to us especially after hearing you sing the chorus.” “Really like a troubled past?” Kiwi narrated what happened during the Starswirl Music Festival which was supposed to be a band reunion after being on hiatus and their friendship being strained due to the pressures of stardom. Then they found some sort of item/device that they can travel back in time to reset the day of their concert and made multiple attempts whenever something went wrong with the concert. That is when she mentions two of their fans, which was your step brother's girlfriend, Pinkie Pie and her friend Sunset Shimmer intervened and destroyed the device which they say it's called a Time Twirler they found. “That is hard to believe.” “I’m not crazy, that really happened. But it was a good thing that we didn’t need that thing for it was tearing our friendship apart. We made up, still have our fans and here we are right now.” “I mean there is no such thing as perfect-I mean that’s what I believe. Things can’t go according to plan like what you’re expecting, problems will come but they won’t be there forever because there is always a solution.” “You’re right. Her slight blush returns like what happened earlier at the music store. You started to think about the pros and cons for a regular person to be dating someone famous. “Hey! You’re definitely making a move on him!” Both of you were interrupted again to see Supernova Zap standing in front of you two pouting jealousy. ‘No I’m not!” Kiwi denies and pushes you again. (SPLASH!!) “Oh no I’m so sorry not again!” Kiwi out of embarrassment pushes you but this into the fountain that you are now completely soaked, most of your body since your feet are facing upwards. “Let’s first get you another towel, but a bigger one; and some dry clothes.” You only responded by spitting water from your mouth like a fountain.
