I was running through the woods when I got to camp. When I got to camp. I noticed that the others are gone. While looking around camp, I don't see any thing missing. 'Maybe they're in the shelter?' I think as I walk to the shelter. I arrived and don't see any signs of them. There isn't even a imprint in the dirt that they even slept.

'What happened here? did they try to find me? if so then I'll wait here for them to arrive.' I thought to myself. While waiting for them I started thinking about a game plan. 'Should we go to town after setting up camp or wait? When would be a good time to introduce ourself if we should? What do we need done for the camp?' As I was thinking, I heard a bush rustle and turn to it. After a second a rabbit ran out and across the camp site. Once it crossed to the other side a wolf made of wood jumped out of the trees.

'Shit! This must be what Zecora was talking about when she said Timberwolf.' I say as I jumped out of the way. Causing the Timberwolf to miss. But the Problem lies in the fact that two more just rushed out. I turn and take off. Just barely missing the Timberwolves jaws. As I was running, Thinking about where to go. The area started to look familiar. 'The castle!' I thought as I turned to it. Causing the Timberwolves to stumble over each other as one continued to chase.

After a minute of jumping over giant roots and turning at sharp corners. Keeping the Timberwolves at bay a little bit. I reached the castle and went inside. Officially safe for now I take a good couple of breathes to calm myself. Only for the fact that the door between me and them. I felt safe until a claw pierced the wooden door. Causing me to stumble backwards and trip. They broke the door open and rushed at me.

I wake up in the bed out of breathe and scared. I looked out the window and thought 'It's just a nightmare, Calm down.'. After a little bit of calming myself. I started wondering the halls to try and find a better room to stay in. After a little bit of exploring, I didn't find anything. I decided that it's time for me to return to camp. I checked out the window to make sure it's safe then left.

When I got to the clearing where the camp resides, I see Mike and Angela comforting Logan who is looking like he slept worth shit. Gemini had rounded up the others and writing her heart out. When she looked up to gage their reactions we locked eyes and I see her light the fuck up the run through the others. By the time the others turn around I was glomped by Gem who was crying with happiness. After the group hug, I pushed through them and started walking through the camp to where the three remained unaware of my arrival.

When I arrived at them I see Mike and Angela notice me. Before they came to me I raised my finger up to where a mouth should be. They noticed what I was trying to do and nodded as they backed off. I patted Logan on the shoulder a couple of times. When he didn't respond I gave a light shove. Almost pushing him off the seat. When he finished flailing he sent a quick glare at me before going back to looking at the floor. It took a minute for him to realize but when he did. He sees me standing right here safe and sound.

He launched himself at me and burst into tears. I could only imagine the conversation we would have if we could talk... or have a MOUTH. Still pissed that I don't have a mouth. But using my imagination I pictured him saying 'I'm sorry that I didn't do anything and that I did something reckless almost costing you your life.'. I then heard a voice say "I'm so so so sorry Sam!". As I looked around before realizing something. After a minute of concentrating I said "It's ok Logan. I'm here and a ok. Get some rest.". After I said that, He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

After he fell asleep I pointed for Zach and James to come over. When they arrived I made a picking up motion as I grabbed the arms. After the three of us got logan to the cover. I went with them to the eating area where everyone is sitting. After a minute I focused enough to say to them "hi.". After I "spoke" the others looked at me in shock as Gem signed excitedly how I "spoke" a word. "It's weird, As I have to focus on you guys then think about the words I want to say. It's definitely harder to do it to multiple people." I say to them.

It took a minute but everyone slowly started speaking. Once that everyone started to get the hang of speaking, I suggested "Now since we have speech. We won't need the blackboards. so how about if we use the blackboard areas to store our kindling? Then there's the fact we can just move into the ruins of the castle here instead of having no where to go.". After a minute of debating about to keep the camp as our location or the ruins. Larry spoke up and said "I say lead here should make the decision. After all he is the leader here."

While everyone looked at me I chose the words to say. After a minute I say "We'll keep both. The ruins will be a secondary base. Just in case something happens here.". Everyone agreed and Gem started handing out tasks for today. I took hunting with Larry and Zach volunteering to join me. As we are walking North, I was mapping out the area with Zach. Another thing that would be nice to have for camp.

We got to a lake and I approached it to look for any fish. I was shocked as there was a good amount of fish in this pond. I took my bone spear and launched it into the lake. Hitting two Trout in the one throw. I stopped getting fish for my food source once I stopped getting full. I then got 3 more fish and packed up to head back to camp.

We got half way before I froze as my ears perked. In the distance I heard twigs snapping. The other two bumped into me and questioned why I stopped. I then game my portion of fish I had to Larry as I grabbed the bone spear. While looking around to see if there was any other predators that might be lurking, I see Zach hand Larry the fish and bring his own spear out. After a minute of waiting and preparing to strike whatever predator was lurking nearby. We heard whatever it was go in a different direction. We sighed as it didn't go towards the camp either.

By the time that we got back, It was time for brunch to have already been cooked. After we cooked the fish And everyone but me ate. I reported to Gem and showed her the map that we drew on paper and showed her that a lake was nearby (thanks to Zecora for lending us paper.). Also told her about the predator coming from the West going East half way between the trail.

As we were debating about that, We hear a scream coming from North-East. I rushed to the others and said "Zach, Paul, and Mars with me. We're going to investigate that scream.". With a nod the three oof us headed towards where the scream came from. While running we talked strategy for what the situation was. "The formation is as follows. I'll hold it's agro, Zach, You are going to look for weak points and strike where it hurts. Paul will back up one of us if we need to retreat from our position. Mars, your job is to make sure our target is safe. If it gets too much for us to protect both you and the civilian. If there is more than one then Paul is to help you escort them to camp." I say to get "Got it boss!" From the three of them.

When we arrived I see a couple of Earth Ponies about to get jumped by the Timberwolves I dreamt about. I readied my spear and threw it at the one pouncing. Causing it's head to explode by the impact I left. When the other two Timberwolves looked behind them. I launched myself and headbutted the one Timberwolf closest to the Earth ponies. I then launched myself at my spear and pulled it out the tree.

As I did Paul shoved a spear through the leg of a Timberwolf. Disabling it for both him and Mars to get the four Earth Ponies out of there. With the four Ponies out of the picture. It left me and Zach to our devises against the Timberwolves. 'We didn't plan for if there was multiple enemies. this could be troublesome for us.' I think as I stepped in front and said "Same strategy. Just I have four opponents to fight instead of one.". Afterwards I rushed into the fray.

I first take my spear and throw it at the first Timberwolf. It barely managed to dodge and rushed at me with the other two. I Ducked under the first Timberwolf's pounce. Then I jumped onto the second wolf's head and launched myself as the third one launched at the second wolf. I heard the collision as I grabbed the spear and help it tightly. I'm really glad I found swordplay interesting. And a spear is like this makes me glad I used a spear.

I then rushed at the first wolf and jumped over it's strike. While midair I thrusted the spear into the wolf. I dragged my spear through the wolf making it bleed tree sap. I then flipped to allow my feet to make contact with the branch above me. I used the momentum to launch myself back into the wolf. I didn't expect to go completely through the wolf As it shattered into many twigs.

When I landed I turned and prepared to defend myself. The two Timberwolves and I having a staring contest to see who would make the first move. Then I noticed that the twigs from the destroyed Timberwolf started moving. My eyes widened as I turned around to block a strike from the first Timberwolf that I struck in the head. As I see Zach appear And strike it's head, Again it's head was shattered as Zach says "Boss! Our best bet is to either smash them enough to officially kill them, Or smash them enough where we can retreat and get to the others.". Zach and I launched ourselves at the three Timberwolves.

"Then we kill till they stop rezzing their selves. Or they have a core we can shatter. When we shatter the others, search the corpses to find it. It'll probably glow a yellow color like their eyes." I say as dodging and counterattacking the one in front of me. I then see a good chance and pierce the head causing it to explode. I hear an explosion behind me and quickly turn to see that Zach made it. With the two Timberwolves stunned on the ground, we quickly dispatch them.

As they were destroyed I realized something. "Okay Zach. We're going to go to camp. Then we'll see about how the Timberwolves work." I say as we quickly leave before the first one reformed. When we got back to town the others rushed over to us. "There you two are! How are you guys holding up? any wounds needing to be taking care of?" Julia asks us as she inspects us for injuries. "We're fine Jules. Just a couple of scrapes from a couple of close calls. Now onto the important info. How the fuck did you cause that explosion!" I reaffirmed Julia before confronting Zach.

We ignored everyone's gaze as Zach and I focus on each other. "I don't know but it was awesome! To have a stun in the form of an explosion is amazing. Though if that's the case... we're going to have to learn how to use our abilities." Zach responded. I nodded my agreement and looked at the blackboard area. A horrifying idea popped into my head and I will so definitely enjoy this. I noticed the glint of fear in Logan's expression as the last time he saw this glint of insanity from me. He had to deal with an army of undead alone. " Now Sam. We can definitely do a different solution to this then whatever you're planning." Logan said with concern for everyone's safety.

"Nope. I'm most definitely doing this and you guys are going to get a show." I say as my insane idea was caught by Zach. "I'm down boss. Besides I'd like to know how to use it since mine is more combat based." Zach says as he grabs his spear. We approached a open area in the clearing and stood on opposite sides. Logan gave up trying to stop this so he got in the middle. "Let's have a fair match you two. Obviously no fatal moves, And FIGHT"!

After Logan got out of the way Zach rushed at me, knowing I'd stay put until he made the first move. He went to jab at me. I stepped to the side and whacked him in the side. He then tried to whack me back but I ducked and punched him in the stomach area. I then jump flipped away as I midair threw the spear into the ground. Landing on the spear and propelling with extra momentum at Zach. He dodged as I flew past and landed. I then jumped to predict Zach's attack.

"Nice try boss. But you'll have to try harder than that!" Zach said as he launched himself at me. He then exploded in mid air and launched himself at me. I see the determination in his eyes while I dodged to the side. I proceed to rush to my spear and heard a explosion coming from behind. I jumped and grabbed my spear. Then blocked Zach's attack as I yell "This is what I call a fight! But I say we call it quits. Especially with you now having a good idea of how to use your ability.".

We both fist bumped and the others rushed up to us. "What was that explosion? And how did it come out of Zach?" Logan ask us while the others look to us expectantly. "We found out he could cause the explosions when fighting the Timberwolves. But we didn't have time to try to understand how he explodes. Now we know how to cause the explosion of the Artificers." I explain while Zach nods along.

"Now that we sparred. I figured out how to cause them. With this knowledge in our grasp. We might be able to figure out how to use other abilities." Zach says while giving an excited look to me. "The way to use it for artificer is by focusing the energy into the feet. Causing the explosion to happen there. But there's a chance we can use it with our hands to launch spears even farther." Zach explained how to use it while theorizing how he and other artificers can use the ability.

With this coming from our ability master from our MMO days. Means a lot of possibilities have opened up to us. Then Logan spoke up to point out "If you can use it in your hands... doesn't this mean that we might be able to use our abilities differently from the game? Remember the Artificer was only able to use it on their bottom feet.".

"But first, We should see if others can use their abilities from how Zach described. So Sam should try it out. Especially since having infinite spears would be a great resource." Logan says and Zach nodded to back him up. I tried to focus energy into my tail. After a minute of trying. Nothing really happened which made us start thinking.

"Maybe we need to focus on something? Or what others need isn't energy. I mean the Slugcats in the game couldn't do much ability wise. The Artificer, Saint, and Spearmaster only has special features added for them." I theorized and they nodded. "If we're playing by those rules, then maybe focus on desperation? At least something that is survival wise." Julia says her theory to us and I start trying. "...Nope still nothing." I say while shaking my head. "We can find this out later. For now lets focus on teaching Mars how to explode and use their ability." Gem says to us while pointing to mars.

We all split to do our different things when Gem and Logan came up to me. "What do you two need?" I ask as they finished approaching. "We want to talk to Zecora some more. So we came to get your permission and see if you want to come." Gem explains as I think. "Sure you can. Just make sure to take Zach with you." I say pointing to the Artificers as Mars just caused a explosion. As they go to retrieve Zach for a information visit, Mike and Julia approached me.

"Hey boss. We noticed that you are looking stressed. You usually get like this when thinking about a boss fight. But with us not having access to video games here, Are you thinking about home?" They ask while showing concern. Of course, I was starting to feel the stress of the situation hit me now that things are calming down. I smiled and say "yeah. The situation is finally settling in, Causing a lot of stress to pile on. Especially with my mind not rushing about trying to do everything under the sun."

"It's ok Sam. To be honest with you, most of us are too. The only one we didn't know for sure was you." Julia says while sitting on my right. Mike sits on my left and adds "But now that we know. It's time for us to start settling into things. Especially if we aren't able to return home.". After a couple minutes of thinking I nod and say "I'm going to Zecora's tomorrow. I'm going to see if she has a way to store food for long periods of time.".

Once I finished my sentence, Our ears perked up as we heard the start of rainfall. We quickly ran to the shelter where the others started going as well. When everyone arrived, I stood tall and say "Rollcall time! Is anyone that's not Gem, Logan, or Zach?". After a round of no's. We all settled down and decided to call it for the night. Only hope that Zecora allowed Gem and them to stay inside.

Monk, Survivor, Hunter: they don't have any special abilities.

Artificer: The Artificer is a cyborg like cat that can double jump by causing her feet to explode. They are also able to turn spears and rocks into explosive counterparts. (works well with Gourmand seeing as how to craft nukes they need grenades.)

Gourmand: Gourmand is a fat cat. they can deal damage by jumping off of ledges and landing on the enemies or by sliding into them. (fall damage is based on the airtime). They are also able to combine two items to create a new item. a example of this is when they combine a flashbang and a rock together, they create a lantern. (Also while all slugcats can roll. Gourmand can roll the fastest.)

Rivulet: The Rivulet is a aquatic slugcat that is able to breathe underwater longer than every other slugcat. they also move faster in water and can dash underwater.

Spearmaster: The Spearmaster is a unique Slugcat as they can't eat like the others since they don't have a mouth. By using their bones to create spears, They get their filling by stabbing and killing their enemies. almost like a parasitic evolution.

Saint: The Saint class is a pacifist. If they try to throw the spear they will drop it instead. But to make up for that they have a tongue that they can use almost like a grapple bug. (it's basically a grappling hook.) With their tongue, They can reach higher places than able to with some other slugcats.

Extra Abilities: There is a mode in the game where you can play as a kid version of the slugcats. Making it harder for them to complete the game since some of the jumps are barely doable as a adult slugcat. There is a reputation system primarily for the scavengers. going to use this feature for the races of Equis. An example of this is that the ponies are going to be at a starting reputation of 10/100. while griffons are going to be -10/-100. the lowest you can go to in this fic is -100. While the highest is going to be 100. If your rep reaches 100 then you are basically a hero to that race.
