Chapters Lovers and Liars
It's midnight and in Ponyville everypony is sleeping. Everypony excpet two. Librarys lights are on and inside the library are two ponies, Rainbow Dash and Twilight, talking about something.
"This can't be true. Pinkie saw us. It was a stupid idea to kiss in the park." Dash said and hit her head on the desk.
"Well, It ain't actually that bad." Twilight said as she ran her hoof across Dashes mane.
"How isn't this bad? Everypony thinks us weird! Have you read the news? Rainbow Dash: Daredevil or Sweet mare lover? " Rainbow Dash said as she hit her head on the desk again.
"Remember, they don't have any proof that we kissed or that we have a relationship. It's just Pinkie, who saw us." Twilight tried to cheer her friend.
"Yeah. Just Pinkie. The only mare who lies only if it has something to with candies." Rainbow Dash said as she rose her head and looked Twilight in the eyes. Twilight didn't look happy about it but tried still to be as positive as she could.
"If they decide to trust on the word of one mare, then be that way. If we don't make anymore that sort of mistakes, they will forget it." Twilight said and pulled Rainbow closer.
"But if" Rainbow gets interrupted as Twilight kisses her on the lips. Rainbow doesn't try to get away, she goes with it.
"Better?" Twilight said when they stopped. Rainbow blushed a bit.
"Thanks" Rainbow says and hugs her friend. "I have to go now, seeya tomorrow." Rainbow says and flies away. Twilight waves at her and goes to upstairs to her room, where she finds Spike waiting for her. Twilight just walks past him to bed.
"So, Twilight, do you have something to tell me?" Spike says as he goes stand next to Twilight.
"No. There is nothing to tell." Twilight said and got under her blanket. Spike shaked his head and went to his box. They both fell asleep immediatly. Next morning Twilight woke up, like she woke up always, she walked to kitchen, made a sandwich and started eating. Just when she took a bite of the sandwich, someone knocked the door.
*Knock knock*
"Coming." Twilight said and started slowly walking towards the door. When she opened the door, she saw Rarity and Applejack standing there. Rarity was levitating Rainbow Dash. They all walked silently inside and Applejack locked the door behind her. Rarity dropped Rainbow on the floor. Twilight helped Rainbow get up.
"What are you doing?" Twilight said and looked first at Rarity and then Applejack. They both stood there silently.
"What are you doing?" Rarity nodded at Twilight.
"I am helping my friend to get up, because someone dropped her." Twilight said almost angrily.
"So, you two are together, right?" Applejack said and pointed toward Rainbow Dash and Twilight.
"We are not!" They said simultaneosly, which didn't really help the situation. They both blushed and looked away from each other.
"I thought you might say that." Rarity said and looked at the door and opened the lock. "Come in Thunderlane!" Both, Rainbow and Twilight, looked at the stallion walking in the house.
"I'm sorry but they made me do this." Thunderlane said with a little sad tone. Twilight and Rainbow looked at each other, then they looked at Applejack.
"What is he doing here?" Rainbow said, fearing the worst. Applejack giggled a bit then she looked at Thunderlane.
"He is here to find out that, are you straight." Applejack said as Thunderlane walked next to Rarity.
"WHAT?!" They both yelled at Rarity. "You gotta be kidding me!"
"Only thing you have to do, is just to give him a one innocent kiss, and then we are settled." Rarity stated.
"Not a big deal." Rainbow Dash walked to Thunderlane, who looked a lot more nervous than Dash. Then Rainbow gave Thunderlane a little kiss on the cheek.
"Okay. You are free to go." Rarity said as she pointed the door.
"Finally." Rainbow Dash said and started flying towards the door, but Applejack caught her. Rainbow looked at Thunderlane, who walked out of the door.
Rarity and Applejack walked closer to Twilight and Rainbow. Applejack was almost touching Rainbows lips, aswell was Rarity touching almost Twilights. Then suddenly they both blushed and took a step backwards, but Rarity and Applejack just walked closer them. Twilight and Dash were their backs to the wall. Applejack's and Rarity's lips were about just an inch away from theirs. Then Rainbow grabbed Twilights hoof, what made Applejack and Rarity walk backwards.
"You are so in love. Just admit it. We are your friends. We won't laugh at you." Rarity said as she and Applejack both started walking at the door. They shut the door and then Rainbow Dash opened her mouth.
"Well, now they know." Rainbow said and walked out of the house and stared at the ground. Twilight just stood there a while but then saw the shopping list on the door of the refigirator. 'I guess i have to go shopping, maybe that will get my mind off that situation.' She tought and grabbed the list.
She walked out of the house to Sugarqube corner. When she got there, she saw everypony looking at her. Pointing at her. But she tried to ignore it. She walked to the apple stand. When she was at it, she remembered who owned the stand. Applejack. She was just about to turn when...
"Heya, Twilight! Care for an apple?" Applejack waved an yelled to Twilight.
"Hi, Applejack. I actually want two apples." Twilight mumbled.
"What did ya say? I didn't here ya." Applejack said loudly and made Twilight annoyed. But then she looked AJ in the eyes and said happily.
"I want to buy two apples." She said with a huge smile on her face.
"That'll be two bits! What do you need apples for?" Applejack asked just when Twilight was about to walk away.
"I am going to bake a pie." Twilight tried to not look frustrated.
"How nice! Are you baking it for some sort of special use. I mean in like for some sort of meeting." Applejack asked once again and Twilight felt her body screaming to run away.
"Yes. I am going to eat it with my..."Twilight paused accidentally what made everypony smile around her. "...friend."
"Okay." Applejack said, with the biggest grin on the world on her face. Twilight continued her shopping trip, so she walked to the bakery, where she found Pinkie standing next to cash register. Pinkie stood there like nothing would have ever happened.
"What can I do for you?" Pinkie asked as Twilight walked in the shop.
"I came to borrow the cooking book I asked you a few days ago." Twilight said and felt that everyone was looking at her. Then like it wasn't bad enough, Pinkie brought her 'accidentally' a book about wedding cakes and said:
"This one! Here are all the wedding cakes you could ever dream of!" Twilight heard everypony whispering about her.
"Pinkie! I mean... Pinkie, I asked the cook book with pie recipes in it." Twilight said and felt like her yelling had only made everything worse.
"Oh. Sorry, Twi." Pinkie went back to the kitchen and brought the right book.
"Thanks." Twilight said frustrated and thought that finally she could go home, but then Pinkie said something, Twilight couldn't expect.
"I just remembered that it was the Sweet mare lover , who asked for the other book." Pinkie saw Twilight stop. Twilight turned around and watched Pinkie angrily.
"Pinkie. Stop this nonsense before you say something that you'll regret." Then she turned around and teleported to her home. When she opened her eyes, she remembered how fool she was to think that she would get to be in peace. The library was full of candles and birds singing romantical music. That was the moment when Twilight had had enough. She turned the lights on, drove the birds away and threw Fluttershy, who was hiding behind the sofa, out of the house.
"Spike!" She yelled and the dragon came from uptstairs and looked at Twilight. "I need you to write something." The baby dragon took a quill and paper and was ready to start writing, but then Twilight remembered that then Spike would see the letter.
"Actually, Forget it. I will write this myself." Twilight said and grabbed the paper and the quill from Spike. Spike walked away frustrated.
"Okay, so."
Dear, Dashie
I have to talk to you about something really important, so come to the library at midnight. We are about to do something we will never forget.

"Right, now I just need to send it. Spike!" Twilight yelled and the dragon walked to Twilight with a angry face.
"Decide already!"
"I need you to send this to Dashie. I mean Rainbow dash!" Twilight said, Spike grabbed the letter and sent it.
At midnight, Twilight walked around her house nervously and waited to someone to knock on the door. Finally, she heard someone knock the door. Twilight opened the door and Rainbow walked inside.
"So, what did you want to say to me?" Rainbow Dash asked as Twilight went to the kitchen.
"I think tha the others are planning on something." Twilight stated as she brought the apple pie and a couple plates. Rainbow started eating the pie and asked:
"What do you mean Twi?" Rainbow said with her mouth full of apple pie.
"Pinkie and Applejack tried to make me confess by putting me in embarassing situations and I think they have some sort of Big Plan to make us confess." Twilight said and cut some more pie.
"Actually, I think we should confess... I can't live the rest of my life this way." Rainbow said as she finished the rest of the pie.
"Me too. And its just that..."
"None of us has the courage." Rainbow finished Twilights sentence. "Yeah, maybe some day we will." Rainbow said and stood up.
"But tonight is just for us." Twilight said and walked to Dash. "Just for you and me." Twilight wrapped her hoof around Dashes neck, then they started a passionate kiss that lasted through the night. At morning Twilight woke up in her bed, next to Dash, who was smiling.
"Morning." Rainbow said and kissed Twilight.
"Morning."Twilight said with a big smile on her face.
They walked together down the stairs, where they found Spike reading a newspaper. Spike looked at the two mares shocked.
"Something wrong?"Twilight asked and the dragon handed the paper to Twilight.
Secret revealed
One of our reporters spotted a certain blue Pegasus walking to her Unicorn friend, so he decided to follow the mares actions and was 'happy' of what he saw. He explains the event this way:
After they had eaten the pie, the romantic night started to affect. They started with a passionate kiss, which led their way up to the bedroom, but I couldn't see inside, but I guess everypony knows what happened then.
Twilight and Rainbow were shocked. Somepony had stalked them, now everypony knew about them.
"Okay, I've had enough. I think now is the time for us to shine." Rainbow said and looked at Twilight, who nodded as a response. They walked out of the house. Rainbow opened her wings and Twilight walked under one of them and Rainbow wrapped her wing around Twilight. Then it was just them against the world. They were confident and ready. They walked to Sugarqube corner. Everypony looked at them as they walked, together, side by side. Everypony was there, including her friends. Everyone looked shocked as the two mares walked to the center of the square. Then they stopped and looked at each other. 'Now or never' they both thought. Everypony pointed towards them and took pictures, but they didn't care. And right that very moment, when everyone looked, they kissed, they kissed for a decade. Then they stopped. It was silent. No one said anything. Everyone stared quietly at the two mares, who walked away. Together.
Chapter 2
As soon as Twilight and Rainbow got inside the library, they locked the door and smiled at each other.
"Oh my gosh, we really did it!" Rainbow said with a large grin on her face. "Did you see their faces? Priceless!" Twilight laughed a little, gave Rainbow a kiss, and then they both walked upstairs.
"I am really proud of you Dash! I was so nervous whole time." Twilight said and nuzzled Rainbow, as she opened the door to her room. They turned their heads and saw four mares standing there silently.
"Umm... Twilight. Why are they here?" Rainbow asked and looked at Twilight, but Twilight didn't get a chance to talk, when Applejack started.
"So, Do yah two now admit that ya are in love and that ya are in relationship?" Applejack asked, not angry like last time, but with kindness in her voice. Twilight looked at Rainbow and smiled, then Rainbow turned to look at Twilight.
"Well, yeah. I think it's obvious now." Rainbow said and smiled at Applejack. Then Twilight and Rainbow sat on Twilights bed. They held each others hooves. Then Pinkies started hopping and smiling.
"You are so cute together!" Pinkie said and hugged Twilight and Rainbow. Twilight and Rainbow started blushing a bit when Pinkie pushed their cheeks together.
"Stop Darling. You are embarrassing our friends." Rarity pulled Pinkie away from them.
"But they are so cute ! Hey! I know what you have to do before I leave! Can you please?" Pinkie starts hopping again.
"Of course Pinkie. What is on your mind?" Twilight says as she tries to move silently a little closer to Rainbow, but Pinkie notices that.
"Kiss !" Pinkie says and Rainbow looks at Pinkie confused. "Pretty please!" Pinkie begs and looks like she is about to start crying.
"Fine." Rainbow grabs Twilight and presses her lips against Twilights. It is not a long kiss, but enough to make Pinkie happy as she bounces out of the house. They spend the rest of the day in peace with their friends, talking, and explaining. But then suddenly they hear someone knocking the door.
*Knock knock*
"Who's there?" Twilight yells at the door. She gets no answer but still opens the door. Reporters start flowing in the house. Twilight gets almost ran over by them but gets away in time. Then all the camera lights start flashing and everyone starts asking questions about Twilights and Rainbows relationship.
"So, do you think that the event on Sugarqube corner helped other ponies to understand your relationship?" One of the reporters start. Twilight starts blushing when she remembers what happened there. Rainbow stands forward.
"I think that at least we made clear that we don't care what you think about us" Rainbow states as Twilght walks to her side. "And that we truly love each other and that we are happy together." Rainbow continued and kissed Twilights cheek. The whole crowd started to say: "Awwww!" and "They are so cute together!" Then the reporters and everyone else left the building and suddenly there was just silence. Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy had left with the others.
"Well, I hope that they understood what you meant Dash." Twilight said and walked to her room and Rainbow followed. When they got to Twilights room and they both sat down, Rainbow opened her mouthand yawned loudly.
"It's starting to get late. Maybe I should start flying back home" Rainbow said as she noticed the clock on the wall.
"You don't have to leave. You can stay here. I won't mind some company" Twilight smiled at Rainbow.
"In that case." Rainbow jumped next to Twilight and planted a kiss on her forehead. "I can stay." Rainbow smiled and Twilight laughed a bit.
Next morning Rainbow woke up and saw Twilight next to her and thought 'She is beautiful. I couldn't even think a life without her'. Then Twilight suddenly opened her eyes and smiled.
"Morning beautiful." She said and ran her hoof across Rainbows mane.
"Morning."Rainbow said and smiled.
"You want some breakfast?" Twilight asked as she got out of the bed. Rainbow nodded and got up. They both went down the stairs and Twilight made some daisy sandwich. They read the newspaper together and it seemed like the whole paper was about them. Then suddenly a letter flew in from the windows and landed staright on Rainbows nose, which made Twilight smile. The letter was for Rainbow.
To: Rainbow Dash
Even if you like someone, it doesn't mean that you don't have to come to work. Come to the edge of Ponyville, you got some weather work to do with your squad.
"Oh god! I forgot about my work. I got to go. Seeya later!" Rainbow said as she flew out of the window. Twilight waved to Rainbow, who was already far away.
When Rainbow reached the edge of Ponyville, her squad was already there.
"Sorry that I'm a little late. But now! We have to start gathering some rainclouds to that edge of Ponyville" Rainbow commanded and pointed to a direction. "and then we have to clear some clouds from the edge of the forest! Any questions?" Rainbow said and waited somepony to raise her hoof. And somepony did.
"What is it?" Rainbow said and pointed at the pony whos hoof was up.
"Are you sure you can get your mind of that Twillight when you are working?" The pony said and giggled, what made everyone else in the squad giggle. Rainbow blushed and ignored the question.
"Okay! Let's go move some clouds!" Rainbow commanded and no pony moved. Rainbow started to look furious. "NOW! " She yelled and everypony flew to do their jobs as quickly as they could. When their jobs were finished, everypony started to fly home. Rainbow flew straight to Twilights place, where Twilight was already waiting for her.
"Was it a funfilled day at work?" Twilight asked and gave Rainbow a piece of sandwich. Rainbow nodded and started to eat the sandwich. Twilight went to the library side and then came back with a book.
"Guess what I got today!" Rainbow tilted her head slightly. "A new part of Daring Do!" Twilight announced and Rainbow jumped in the air and grabbed the book. They went to sit down in Twilights room and read the book together. After they were done with the book. They kissed and smiled.
"Rainbow. I couldn't anymore imagine a life without you." Twilight said as she hugged Rainbow tightly.
"And I couldn't imagine a life without you." Rainbow said and nuzzled Twilights neck. Then they both got to bed."My life couldn't be better." Rainbow said when they both were in the bed. Twilight rose one of her eyebrows.
"Challenge accepted." Twilight said and pressed her lips against Rainbows.

After a wonderful night with Rainbow, Twilight opened her eyes and turned her head, that she could see Rainbow, but was surprised when she saw two hooves sticking from under the blanket. Then Twilight lowered her head and looked at the other end of the bed. There was Rainbows head. She was still asleep, but smiled happily. Twilight got up from the bed and walked where Rainbows head was located.
"I guess you had a rough night" Twilight smiled and nuzzled her muzzle in Rainbows head. Rainbows eyes opened and saw Twilight beside her. Then Twilight gave her a kiss on the forehead and Rainbow smiled for return.
"I wouldn't call it rough " Rainbow said and got up. She planted a small kiss on Twilights lips. They walked downstairs, got the mail in front of the door and went to the kitchen table. They scanned through the mail. Nothing special, just normal news and stuff, but there was one letter that was different than any else.
"What's this" Rainbow said as she picked up the letter and started opening it. Twilight watched as Rainbow opened the letter and something dropped from the letter. A paper with gold edges.
"Interesting. How is the letter meant to?" Twilight said and grabbed the letter from Rainbow Dash. "This is for you" Twilight stated and Rainbow picked the paper from the floor and scanned it quickly. Then suddenly her eyes brightened and she started yelling like a little filly.
"Yes yes yes yes! I won! I won!" Rainbow jumped around and held the paper in her hooves.
"What does that paper say?" Twilight said and tilted her head. Rainbow jumped to Twilight and kissed her.
"I. WON !" Rainbow said as she hugged Twilight tightly.
"You won what?" Twilight said even more confused.
"Do you remember the contest that the Wonderbolt Magazine held last month?" Twilight nods. "I won the grand prize! VIP ticket to the wonderbolt derby and then the rest of the day with Wonderbolts!" Rainbow said and started to laugh and fell on the sofa.
"That's great Dash! When is the event happening?" Twilight said and sat on the sofa, next to Rainbow.
"Tomorrow!" Rainbow said exited.
"Tomorrow? As in tomorrow tomorrow?"
"Yes! Oh gosh! I have to get packing. I don't want to miss this." Rainbow flew upstairs and started packing her stuff. Twilight followed her and helped Rainbow pack. When they finished, Rainbow went to hug Twilight.
"Will you survive here without me?" Rainbow said joking. Twilight smiled and nodded. "And you promise to not to cheat on me?" Rainbow asked and looked Twilight seriously.
"What?! I would neve..." Twilight got interrupted when Rainbow put her hoof in front of Twilights mouth.
"I was just joking. Try to relax when I'm out there, ok?" Twilight hugs Rainbow and then gives her a kiss.
"Remember to come back, will you?"
"Always." Rainbow kissed Twilight back and then walks to bed. "Let's get some sleep." They both go to sleep and start sleeping almost in that instant. Next day they both have walked to the train station and Rainbow is getting in the train.
"See you tonight!" Twilight says as she waves to Rainbow.
"See ya!" Rainbow waved back and the train left. Twilight walks back to the library and starts reading a new book she got yesterday.
{Rainbow}
'I am so exited! The wonderbolts derby! And like that would not be enough, I get to spend the whole day with them. This is going to be so awesome!' Rainbow as the train moved towards Canterlot, where the derby is supposed to happen. When the train arrives at the Canterlot station, there is a pony waiting for Rainbow.
"Are you Rainbow Dash?" The pony asks and is already picking up Rainbows luggage.
"Umm... Yeah." Rainbow says as she starts to walk forwards.
"Follow me. I know, where you have to stay." Rainbow starts following the pony, who takes her to a hotel near the station. When they get to Rainbows room, the pony lowers Rainbows luggage on the rooms floor.
"Here we are. Have a good day!" The pony said and walked out before Rainbow had a change to say bye. Rainbow went to rest on the bed. 'So, what should I do first? The derby is at 4:00 PM. I could go see if I could find something to eat.' Rainbow said and patted her stomach. Rainbow walked out of the door, closed it and walked outside to find some place to eat.
{Twilight}
Twilight has finished her book already and has to find something to do. 'I could do something nice to surprise Rainbow with when she comes back. What could I do to her?' Twilight starts to rub her head. 'Now I know! I will give her a gift! A wonderful gift! Yes. She'll love it.' Twilight thought determinetly and walked out of the library, straight to the jewelery shop.
"Hello! Can I help you?" Twilight turns her head and sees the shop keeper behind the cash register.
"Hey. Do you make custom necklaces?" Twilight said as she walked to the shop keeper.
"Yes. What kind would you like to have?" The shop keeper asks from Twilight, who doesn't really know the answer.
"Umm... Can you make this?" Twilight shows a picture of Rainbows cutie mark. "And can you do it today?" The shop keeper looks at the picture and then at Twilight and then the picture.
"Hmm... I guess I can get it done. It will cost 70 bits. You can pay when the job is done. You can come to get it around 7 o'clock."
"Thank you so much!" Twilight says and runs out of the shop. Twilight looks at the clock. 'Okay. I have three hours before the necklace is ready. now, to Mr. and Mrs. Cake.'
{Rainbow}
It's 4:00 PM and the derby is about to start. The whole event is sold out and everypony is trying to find their places. Rainbow is sitting in the VIP section and having a fun time there, watching other ponies trying to navigate in the crowd. Then suddenly the announce starts. When the announcer has stopped, the countdown starts. 'Here starts the best day ever.' Rainbow thinks as the countdown goes to zero.
{Twilight}
Twilight has reached the cake shop. She sees Pinkie behind the desk.. The pink mare is as full of smile as always.
"Hey Twilight!" Pinkie yells from behind the desk and starts jumping towards Twilight.
"Hello Pinkie. I have something special that I would like you to bake." Twilight says and raises her eyebrow.
"Is this something for Rainbow?" Pinkie asked exited and Twilight nodded for response. Pinkie started to smile more than ever before.
"Can you make this cake?" Twilight said as she showed a picture of two tails spiraled together.
"Of course Twilight!" Pinkie took the photo and ran off to bake the cake. She said that it would be ready around 7 PM.
"Perfect! I'll see you then!" Twilight waved to her friend and ran back home.
{Rainbow}
The derby had just ended and Rainbow was about to walk out of the stadium, when suddenly someone touched her shoulder. Rainbow turned around and saw the fiery maned mare smiling at her.
"Hey! Rainbow Dash was it?" Spitfire said as she guided Rainbow to the limousine.
"Yeah! The one and only!" Rainbow said proudly.
"Okay Rainbow. Would you first come to our camp and we could plan there what you'd like to do?" Spitfire said as they stepped inside the limousine. Rainbow nodded and stepped inside and saw her heroes. 'Oh my gosh oh my gosh! This is sooo the best day EVER!' She thought when Soarin shaked her hoof. The limousine arrived at the camp and they all walked into the building which was so stylish and cool that it made Rainbow speechless. They walked to the room, that looked like some sort of living room, and sat down.
"Well Rainbow, what would you like to do?" Soarin asked as she got some apple pie out of the kitchen. Rainbow didn't actually know, what she should do with them. So she decided to be clever.
"Well, what would you suggest?" Rainbow asked but then realized that it must have sounded stupid.
"It's your special day, so you get to decide." Spitfire stated but then continued. "I guess we could go fly outside and see, where to go." Spitfire suggested and flapped her wings a little. Rainbow got up and started to float.
"Let's go" Rainbow said and then they flied outside.
{Twilight}
Twilight is staring at the clock. 'I can't go yet, i must wait just a little more. If i go now, they'll think that I am hurrying them, but if I go too late, They'l think I don't care. Okay, now I go' Twilight ran out of the door towards the jewelery shop, where the shop keeper was already waiting, when she got in.
"Hello, you came for the necklace?" The shop keeper asked and started searching the desk.
"Yes, is it ready?" Twilight said worried as she saw the shop keeper opening and closing the drawers.
"Yes. Here it is." He said and showed Twilight the necklace. The necklace looked even better than Twilight had expected. She gave the shop keeper 70 bits and ran off to Pinkie. When she arrived there, the shop was empty.
"Pinkie! Are you in there?" Twilight asked worried. But then suddenly she saw a pink mare coming through the door.
"Hey Twilight! The cake is ready. Tadaa!" Pinkie yelled as she showed the cake to Twilight. The cake was perfect.
"Nice work Pinkie! Here is some money for you." Twilight said as she started looking for her bits.
"You don't have to pay. This is a gift from me, okay?" Pinkie said and handed out the box with the cake in it.
"Thank you so much Pinkie!"
"No problem!" Twilight ran out to the library and started preparing for the big surprise.
{Rainbow}
It was getting late and Rainbow was packing her stuff and starting to leave. Spitfire was still up and helped Rainbow to pack. Then suddenly she stops.
"Rainbow, I have something to show you. Come" Spitfire said and started walking down the stairs to the alleyway. Rainbow followed. When they got outside, Spitfire flew up in the sky. Rainbow was still following her. When Rainbow got up there, she saw Spitfire standing and looking at the stars.
"Beautiful scenery. Isn't it?" Spitfire said as she turned to look Rainbow. Rainbow simply nodded and walked to Spitfire.
"Will we see again after this?" Rainbow asked and Spitfire tilted her head a little. "I mean like, like personally." Rainbow said and Spitfire lifted her hoof to Rainbows shoulder.
"I really hope so. I really do" Spitfire started staring at the ground. Rainbow noticed this and got a little confused.
"What's wrong?" Rainbow said and lifted Spitfires head.
"Can you stay a little longer? I can't get sleep and I could use some company." Spitfire asked with a hopeful voice.
"Maybe i could stay a little longer" Rainbow said and sat down.
{Twilight}
'Where is she, she should have been here an hour ago. I hope she is not hurt.' Twilight walked around the library and was really worried about Rainbow. 'I can't take this anymore. I will go check' She thought and teleported to Canterlot station and started making her way to the Wonderbolts camp.
{Rainbow}
Spitfire and Rainbow had been talking a while now. Rainbow saw the clock tower and jumped up.
"I've should have been home an hour ago!" She flew down to the earth and Spitfire followed.
"Wait!" Spitfire yelled to Rainbow. "I have to do something first. Can you do it for me?" Spitfire said and Rainbow stopped.
"What?" Rainbow asked confused.
"Umm.. Could you? Or maybe I just should... Oh buck it! Here it goes." Spitfire grabbed Rainbow and kissed her on the lips. Rainbow wanted to stop it, but she couldn't. Then suddenly they heard something drop. Rainbow turned her head and saw, what dropped. A tear. Twilight's tear, when she ran away. Crying. Rainbow tried to fly after her, but Twilight had already teleported away. Spitfire looked at Rainbow and then realized what she had done.
"I'm so sorry..." Spitfire said as Rainbow walked past her. Rainbow didn't react. She picked up her stuff and flew away. Towards Ponyville.
After a long night flight, Rainbow finally reached Ponyville and went immediately to Twilights house. She walked up to the door and knocked.
*Knock knock*
No answer. Rainbow sighed and started walking away. Then suddenly she heard a door open. She turned around and saw Spike standing in the doorway. Spike looked at her with an angry face.
"So, you finally decided to arrive?"
"Where's Twilight? I need to talk to her." Rainbow asked the purple dragon. Spike rose his hand and pointed it towards Sweet Apple Acres.
"I told her to go to see Applejack. I thought that maybe she could help her. Twilight didn't tell me, what happened, but I know that it has to have something to do with you." Spike said and looked at Rainbow, who had a guilty look on her face.
"How do you know that?" Rainbow asked and raised her eyebrows.
Spike didn't answer her. Instead, he went back inside. After a while he returned with a picture and a box in his claws.
"From these." Spike dropped the picture and the box on the ground and walked inside. He closed the door behind him. Rainbow could hear Spike crying inside. 'What have I done?' She thought as she picked the picture up. It was a picture of her and Twilight on the beach. They were holding each others hooves and the whole moment was perfect, but there was something wrong with the picture. Twilights head was replaced with Spitfires. Tears started flowing out from Rainbows eyes. 'I am so sorry Twi. I hope that it isn't too late.' She thought. 'What's this?' She opened the box and a necklace dropped out of it. She grabbed it and when she saw what it was, she took a determined face and started flying towards Sweet Apple Acres.
When she reached her destination, she stood in front of the door. 'Maybe I should check if she is still here first. After all, I don't want to wake anyone up.' She flew away from the door and to Applejacks window. She had lights on. Rainbow flew closer. When she was close enough, she saw two mares sitting. Twilight and Applejack. Rainbow tried to listen, what they were talking about, but couldn't hear them. Then she gave up and flew back to the door and knocked it.
*Knock Knock*
When she saw the handle turn, she felt the time stop. She started thinking her feelings towards Twilight. All the good times... All the bad times. How Twilight always helped her and never left her. She knew that Twilight was the one. Then a thought crept through her mind. 'Was she good enough for Twilight?' This made her cry. 'I can't... I just can't'. The door opened and Rainbow saw Applejack inside. Rainbow looked at Applejack a few seconds, then a lavender unicorn appeared behind Applejack. They stood there a moment. Then Twilight grabbed the door handle and closed the door. Rainbow started hitting herself. 'You are worth nothing to her.' She started to fly up. She flew over the treetops and over the clouds. Then she headed home.
Rainbow opened the door silently. She walked in and straight to the bedroom. She got in her bed and cried. She cried of all the things she had done, all the things she hadn't and all the things she could have done. She cried through the night. She couldn't do anything else. She cried so hard, that she felt a lot of pain in her stomach, but the pain in her stomach was nothing compared to the pain she had in her heart.
At morning she finally stopped crying. She didn't stop thinking about Twilight, but she couldn't cry anymore. She wanted the pain to end. At any means necessary. She flew to Sugarcube corner, where she saw Twilight. Twilight looked like nothing have ever happened. Twilight was in severe pain, but Rainbow couldn't see it. A tear dropped from Rainbows eye. It dropped all the way down on Twilights head. She turned her head and saw a cyan pegasus flying up, higher and higher. Twilight looked at the pegasus sadly. She wanted to talk to her. She wanted to apologize. She stared at Rainbow Dash, but then saw, that others were staring Rainbow too. When Twilight turned to look up again, a note fell on her face. The note said:
I can't live anymore in this pain. I can't live without you. But I know that I am not good enough for you either. I want to explain to you, but I can't. This was a nice experience. Now, when you know, I will fall. You know, what it means when pegasus falls. I am sorry.
When she watched again at Rainbow, she saw Rainbow barely in the distance. She saw something that she never thought Rainbow would do. Rainbow gave up. She saw her closing her wings. This made Twilight realize, how stupid she had been. She knew Rainbow would never be disloyal. She charged her horn.
Rainbow smiled. The wind and the speed made her smile. The feeling of letting go.
Sometimes, when my life is horrible. I jump off a cliff. And when I'm falling, I smile. I smile 'cause I know, that when I hit the ground. There is only one way to go from there. Up.
At the moment, when Rainbow had fell half way, she felt somepony grab her hoof and hug her.
"I love you Dash. I always will. And I will fall with you." The lavender unicorn said as she cried.
The ground was getting closer. Two lovers. Falling. Then suddenly Rainbow opened her wings.

Epilogue: Love is in bloom
The story of love, sadness and recovering. The story, everypony knows. The story about two lovers, who faced the world and showed them the power of love. Two mares, who got separated and lost in the cruelty of life. These two mares learned great lessons about love and teached others to love. They showed that even in the darkest times, there is always a light. That light is called Hope and Truth. They didn’t win dragons together, venture in dungeons or defeat an army of Timberwolves. They cleared the hardest challenge in the entire world. They found a way to love right. They learned that hope will always help the way and that truth will always be the thing that has to be told.
Now these to mares live together in peace, in a library, in a village far away from here. They love each other so much, that even death won’t depart them. Nowadays, their story is almost forgotten, but I am here to tell their story. And as long as I live, I will tell it and write it down, so everypony could remember it. This has been a pleasant journey and I hope that you’ll spread the word of these to mares, because their love is truly in bloom.

Alternate Epilogue: I still love you
Twilight was sitting on the ground, holding a flower in her hoofs. She was so sad, but at the same time she was happy. A tear fell on the ground and then she started talking, not to herself, but at a stone cross, which was in front of her.
“I came to see you. I just wanted to tell you that” Twilight paused for a second and sniffed. “that I miss you so much...” She couldn’t hold anymore and started crying. Crying echoed in the woods around her. She dropped the flower and held her head. She kept crying and crying, when suddenly she felt something touching her. She turned her head and saw a transparent pony standing in front of her. She stood up and immediately tried to hug the pony, but only to fall down on the ground. She almost started to think that she was going crazy, but then she saw something. Something shining in her hoofs. It was a necklace.
A smile grew on Twilights face and then she went to hug the stone cross. She read the text that was engraved in the cross.
The hero who lived and loved on her own way. Who loved to be who she was and who always was ready to do her best for her friends.
Rainbow Dash, Hero
Reading this made Twilight happy.
“You truly are a hero and will always be. I still love you and I always will.” Then she felt a real hoof on her shoulder. She turned around and hugged the pink mare behind her. Her friends were there and Twilight didn’t want to let go of them. They all set a flower in front of the cross and then started walking away. Twilight took a final look at the cross and whispered:
“Good night. I will come back tomorrow.” Then she walked away. Smiling.
