Flurry hurriedly ran around the bathroom. She was running late for her own birthday, something that she had only managed to accomplish by over sleeping. You only turn 21 once as her dad had said and then gave her access to kingdom's wine cellar. Might just be the coolest parents around. She managed to invite several friends and family to this, a big get together with good food and fantastic wine. The only thing missing was the star and the one who put this all together. That is why when she was awoken by her friend Spike, she knew the alarm had been thoroughly slept through. Having planned to greet him at the train station; not a great look.

So here she was, currently running around, trying to get ready, throwing on a tank top over her bouncing C cup breasts and casting prestidigitation so she could skip the shower. She pushed her wings out through the tank top's two back holes then slid on some panties before running out of the bathroom to go find some leggings and her shorts. Unfortunately, her room was a bit of a mess at the moment, so it was more like a game of I Spy as she rummaged through the piles. She checked her enchanted wrist watch, a pink watch that was light and only showed itself when she stared at her wrist for a few seconds. It glowed a soft green glow, showing that it was almost noon. This caused her adrenaline to kick into high gear.

A knock on the door interrupted her clothes looking speed run. Spike opened the door a crack as he attempted to avert his gaze. "Hey, don't mean to rush you more than you already are, but I can see Twilight is coming with some more company on the way."

Flurry cursed under her breath as she dove into her closet in a desperate hope that what she was looking for would be found there. Thankfully, two clean matching leggings were discovered. Now just the shorts and... She tripped. Stumbled into the wall. She let go of her leggings and held out her hands, expecting to catch herself... Only for her hands to pass right through the wall. "What the?" Was all she could get out as her body traveled into the wall, her body phasing through it and the floor. She cried out in surprise as she seemed to just pass right through everything, multiple floors seemed to wiz past including the ground. It all happened so fast and before she could even process this, she landed in a pool of water with a loud splash.

Spike blinked in stunned silence. Did he really just catch a glimpse of Flurry Heart going through the wall? No way, this can't be happening again. It had been several years. Twilight had finally gotten over this. He turned around, already formulating how best to break this to her. One thing was for sure, that portal she gave up on was about to be taken out of the basement soon.

Flurry Heart coughed as she rose up out of the pool, her mind struggling to take in what the heck just happened. She was now standing in waist deep water in a warm pool surrounded by tan small tiled walls and ceiling. The pool itself was surrounded by smaller looking round pools. Flurry pushed back her long curly mane and checked for injuries. Thankfully, she found none despite having falling several stories. Or at least, that is what is felt like. But looking up, there was no hole. How the heck did this happen? Did she accidently teleport? Didn't feel like it though. She didn't cast any spell, at least not consciously.

The confused alicorn waded over to the edge of the pool and pulled herself out. Water fell from her body. She glanced down, feeling a small blush run across her face. Only a tank top and panties. Nothing else. Soaking wet and revealing all to the world though the fabric. Certainly not how she saw today going, at least not till maybe later on that evening after hooking up with a cute stallion or mare.

Well, wherever she was didn't really matter. Thankfully no one was around to see her, wherever she was and this was an easy problem to fix. Just a quick teleport back, just have to visualize her room... Flurry ignited her horn, reached out to her massive magical reserve, and activated the spell... There was a sizzle as she felt her horn seemed to get tugged and pulled. She cried out in a bit of a pain as she gripped her head. "What?" She cried out as the magic around her seemed... Distant. Her own reserves seemed to get drained on its own as she felt the spell go off, only for it to sizzle like she had casted it wrong or someone had casted a counter spell. She waiting a few seconds, listening to sounds of her own breathing as she tried to make sense of this.

She shook her head. "Why does the magic around me feel strange? Its like I am not in Equestria anymore or something." She had felt something similar when she once visited Saddle Arabia. Equestrian magic was there but it felt distant in a way. Here, felt completely off. Like it had a different flow to it that was much smaller than what she was used to. Not to mention it didn't feel right. Like dipping your hand in water then in thick mud. One felt free for movement to a degree though it does tend to push back in a way, meanwhile, thick mud will just keep you from properly moving at all. It just felt off in so many ways.

She tried casting a simple spell to produce a small flame in her hand. This was something an amateur mage could pull off. She grunted as this too seemed difficult. She managed to only make her hand glow slightly before she collapsed onto her knees, feeling almost exhausted from just this alone. Something was different alright and she her ability to rely on magic was practically gone.

She held up her wrist, watching as her watch slowly appeared. It seemed dimmer but still active at the very least. "So enchantments casted outside of this place seem to still work, good to know." Not that it really helped all that much, there were only two others on her. A tracking spell should she ever get kidnapped, being royalty and all that. And a birth control spell. Both had to be re-upped once a month. It was the middle of the month so at least those would also stay in tact for awhile.

"I don't know what to make of all of this. I seemed to have somehow slipped outside of Equestria and into this weird place..." She looked around for a few seconds before sighing. "No use in just standing around then, I've got to see if there is a way out of here. Maybe there is someone around here who can help me."

A cold chill suddenly ran down her back as she looked around. It was brief but her instincts were telling her she was just scried upon for a few seconds. Hopefully, that meant at least someone knew she was here. Hopefully, that someone was friendly. She took a few cautious steps towards the door and walked through it, coming to a long hallway with pillars of pipes running along the sides. The room was slightly steamy but felt inviting enough. Despite being in this weird place, she felt weirdly calm. There was something so foreboding about all this yet she also felt strangely excited mixed with a weird feeling of Zen.

Coming to the end of the hallway, she soon found something that took her breath away. She was standing in a large room. The room looked like it had been flipped upside down. Above her lay a massive pool with water sitting in it, somehow it seemed to stay inside, not falling to the ground below. Or the ceiling? Flurry cautiously stepped out and looked up. The room above her looked like an average pool room with lounge chairs and tables all scattered about around the pool. She could just make out a large opening within the pool on the right side of it that must lead somewhere. It was the only path forward she could see. There was only one door in the room she came from.

Flurry stretched out her wings, intending on flying closer. Only to once again feel the magic that would propel them, waver and fizzle as well. She might as well be a chicken flapping its wings with how little flight seemed available to her. Flurry jumped up, hoping that any kind of lift of magic would happen. To her surprise though, gravity seemed to shift as soon as she did. She felt her body suddenly get pulled towards the pool as she suddenly dove head first into the pool above her. Or was it now below her?

Flurry blinked in confusion as she floated for a few seconds. She swam back up to the surface and looked up. Now the floor above her was a ceiling once again as she felt the pull of gravity within the pool. Flurry felt like she was going to have an aneurism trying to piece together how the heck that made sense. Gravity usually doesn't work like this.

Then again, science and magic never really saw eye to eye to begin with. But if this was magic, why couldn't she tap into it? Yeah, this all made no sense and this was only going to make her head hurt trying to piece this all together. Surely she was missing some puzzle pieces.

She dove beneath the water, staring down the long tunnel that now seemed the only way forward. She kicked off her hooves and arms, glad that those swimming lessons were paying off. Turns out learning to swim, even while living in a frozen tundra can still come in handy. Mix that with some powerful alicorn lungs didn't hurt either. Flurry quickly swam down the long tube until it opened out to a set of stairs leading up out of the watery area. One breaching the top of the water, Flurry spied what looked to be an indoor water park.

It had slides coming off of a jungle gym like structure with a big bucket on top that had just tipped over, spilling water all of the area. A wave pool could be seen just off to the side as well as a few vending machines lining the side next to some benches. Flurry went to step out, trying to piece together if she was truly just in some sort of weird water park in another land. But then something stirred in her mind. Something that Spike had told her about long ago.

About how several creatures had gone missing and how he himself went there as well. But unlike some of them, he managed to make it out. He described a world that was like a never ending water park. Filled with pools, slides and even small waterparks themselves. Everything hit the nail on the head for how he had described that world... She was now here... Which meant that at the very least, there may be others here.

As that revelation hit like the ton of bricks, the sound of voices reached her ears. Someone else was here. Flurry hesitated, unsure if she should go to them or not. She had no idea if they were going to help her. Maybe some recon would be a good idea. Flurry cautiously jumped out, feeling water fall from her body once more as she raced over to the benches and found a large umbrella. She flipped it on its side and tried to make it look like it had always been that way as she carefully peered around the corner, her eyes watching the creatures as they entered into the room.

"Twilight, you need to calm down." Came a motherly voice from a pink concerned looking alicorn.

The purple mage was currently pacing up and down the throne room, Spike doing his best to try to console her as well. Shining sat back on his throne in deep thought. They were all dressed in fancy attire. It had only been a short while since Flurry had vanished. Spike was quick to let everyone know and make it clear it was very likely that an old problem had just resurfaced.

"I can't calm down." She let out a loud groan. "Starlight and I spent YEARS trying to open a portal to that Pool Realm or whatever. In the end, what few letters managed to make it back to our side made me decide that the ones that stayed behind did so of their own choice or because they grew to love the place. I was willing to eventually let it rest. But now its taken Flurry. Am I just supposed to sit here and hope she gets lucky like you Spike and get out, or go try out the portal again?!"

Shining let out a low grunt. "If I may sis, I think we should trust Flurry. I am sure she will be fine. We've taught her everything we could about survival and taking care of yourself."

Twilight looked back at her brother with tinge of empathy. "I don't doubt her abilities. I just don't want her to end up trapped there is all. If she want's to stay like the others... Well I'd rather hear it from her."

Cadence shook her head and smiled. "Well, it doesn't hurt to have a backup." She walked over and placed a hand on Twilight's shoulder. "Lets go double check the portal, maybe see if we missed something."

That seemed to calm the alicorn down a bit as as the tension seemed to slowly dip down from within the room. Spike let out a low chuckle and couldn't help but wonder what kind of adventure Flurry had just stumbled into.
