My little Dragon Ball: FuyuMori
Ch 26: Birth of Equestria’s Super Saiyan
Previous ChapterArctic was training with Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Spike. Glacious was sitting nearby watching them. The Crusader’s had been going around yesterday, talking to the girls. They were listening to their stories on how the six gained their Cutie Marks, in an attempt to find a way to gain theirs. During Rainbow’s story, it got to the point that it was revealed to the three fillies, that not only did Rainbow’s Sonic Rainboom cause the connection between the six of them, but also was the cause of Twilight’s Magical Surge somehow willing Arctic into Equestria.
========== During the Cutie Mark Chronicles ==========
“So, you two are the reason Arctic is here?!” Apple Bloom said in shock.
“That’s right!” Rainbow said smugly.
“That’s so cool!” The Crusaders said in unison.
“Yup! And that means Arc is connected to us too!” Pinkie said as she claimed onto Arctic’s shoulder.
“I suppose so.” Arctic said.
Glacious just chuckled watching them. To think all this seemed to be fated to happen. Rainbow’s Sonic Rainboom causing a connection between not only the six of them, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Twilight, but also brought her son here, making a connection with the seven of them. Rather, eight. Can’t forget young Spike. It was quite magical.
As the Crusaders had fun, laughing and playing, they began to wonder. Arctic could transform. How did he do it at first? Did something happen. Honestly, they weren’t the only ones. The mane 6 and Spike had also wondered how Arctic transformed. They did want to here the story of how he transformed in the first place. Though, they were a bit caught up in partying to really take the chance to ask him.
========== In the Present ==========
The group were still vigorously training. The Crusaders and spike were doing well. They were getting stronger. Especially Apple Bloom. Arctic could contribute that to Apple Bloom’s Earth Pony strength and magic. Arctic began to wonder if Apple Bloom also had some kind of Magic. Much like what Tree Hugger displayed during the fight against Barite. Twilight did do some digging on that. What he and the others learned was interesting.
========== After the fight with Barite ==========
“You mean this magic is something Earth Ponies used to actually have?” Pinkie asked, facehoofing.
“Yeah. Apparently many years ago, when Celestia and Luna were just starting to rule over Equestria, Earth Ponies had some kind of magic of their own!” Twilight said excitedly. “According to the old books, Earth Pony magic was used to help plants grow. Especially during the harsher winters back then. With their magic, they could make the food grow in the snow. And, the food that grew had been altered into some special altered version of the original. For example, Apples.”
Applejack perked up at this.
“The apples that they could grow in the snow would grow to be different from regular apples. They would become what’s called, Frost Apples. Apples a light blue in color, we’re cold to the touch, yet very juices and sweet. But over the years, Earth Pony Magic withered out. Nowadays, Earth pony magic gives them a connection to the ground and greater strength than the other two pony races.”
“So, when Tree Hugger created those large vines and tree roots to stop Barite as we fled the caves, was her tapping into this Earth pony magic for the first time after so many years of not being used at all?” Arctic asked.
“Yup!” Twilight said happily.
“Dang dude.” Tree Hugger said. “So, will I be able to use that magic again?”
“With the right training, I’d believe so.” Twilight said.
“Then, does that mean ah have this magic too? And even Pinkie Pie?” Applejack asked.
“I hope so.” Twilight said before running in place, letting out an excited squee. “Old magic to be rediscovered? I’m so excited!”
The others just chuckled and smiled
========== In the Present ==========
Arctic had to stop his reminiscing to dodge and blow from Scootaloo. Scootaloo really had grown more adept at flying with ki. Arctic was very proud. He used his tail and smacked her away and he crossed his arms to block a kick from Apple Bloom. Arctic skidded backwards as Sweetie Belle charged ki into her two front hooves, slammed them to the ground and fired her first ever attack.
“Belle’s Burst!” Sweetie Belle cried.
With a low rumble, four pillars of light pink energy erupted from the ground and barreled toward Arctic. Arctic smiled. He rushed away, Sweetie’s blasts following after him. He rushed to a nearby lake, and stomped his foot in the water. He swung his leg back and used the water to do the Water Warp Technique. He managed to kick the water away to leave small puddles under Spike and the Crusaders. The four blasts burst out of the puddles, straight towards them. The Crusaders evaded the blasts, except Spike.
Spike inhaled and released a burst of flames at the blast and a massive explosion went off. Then and blast of flames shot towards Arctic. Even the Crusaders charged their on attacks to fire at him. Arctic clenched his fists, exhaled slowly, and erupted into Super Saiyan. The blasts landed, but as the smoke from the explosion subsided, he stood their with a smile.
The four all collapsed. They weren’t yet used to this kinda thing. The Crusaders were still getting used to ki. It was astonishing the three were able to get blasts attacks somewhat down. Spike had been learning to wield his fire more. Thanks to the training, even his scales seemed to grow stronger. Even Spike’s height seemed slightly off. It looked as though he was ever so slightly growing taller? Arctic was unsure, but he was certain Spike seemed to be growing taller. He would have to ask about it at some point.
“That was so fun!” Scootaloo shouted as she excitedly jumped around. At least, tried to.
“Ah really wanna learn to do that water thang yah did!” Apple Bloom said.
Arctic chuckled. “Well, maybe you can learn it.” Arctic said. Then he looked to Glacious. “She could, couldn’t she?”
“Indeed she could. Remember my child, Elemental Magic can be taught to many. Although it will take time. Remember, it did take you some time to first learn it, and you believed you wouldn’t be able to use magic.” Glacious said.
Arctic shyly smiled.
“So, we’ll be able to learn it? Awesome!” Sweetie Belle said.
“You four have gotten stronger. And you’re learning to use ki a bit better. You young Sweetie Belle, are learning to use energy blasts quite well.”
“Yeah. Your “Belle’s Burst” attack is quite impressive for a first time ki user.” Arctic said.
Sweetie Belle just smiled. She had seen Arctic use a move similar to the move she now uses. The move was a bit of an improvised move against some Timber wolves when he took the three to see Zecora to learn about potions for a potion making Cutie Mark. Arctic did teach her how to use the move and thanks to him focused on helping her with the move, she was slowly perfecting it. Even managed to learn to use the blasts to track her target.
Arctic walked with the four and his mother to Sugarcube Corner. It had become their ideal place to go eat after training. As they walked in, the mane six were there. They were doing a small celebration to welcome Twilight’s new pet, Owlowiscious, into the group. Owlowiscious was the new pet/secondary assistant to Twilight. Third, if you count Arctic occasionally helping Twilight, considering he and his mother lives with her. But, anyway, the new Owl pet was now staying at Golden Oak Library. While in the beginning, things were a bit rocky with Spike growing jealous of the Owl, worrying that it would replace him, but things had mellowed out now.
“Arc’s here!” Pinkie yelled as she rushed up to Arc and clung to him as she shuffled up to rest on his shoulders.
“You really like being up there, don’t you Pinkie?” Rainbow asked with a chuckle.
“Tis! Thine Saiyan shoulder shall now and forever be dubbed and claimed as, “The Throne of Pie”.” Pinkie said in a posh Royal voice.
Arctic just chuckled. As the small party eventually died down, Arctic was resting, his head on Glacious’s back. Scootaloo walked up, a question on her mind.
“Hey Arctic?”
“What’s up, Scoots?” Arctic looked over to her.
“I’ve been meaning to ask, how did you first become a Super Saiyan?” Scootaloo asked.
“Yah know, ah been wanting to know that mahself.” Applejack chimed in.
“Me too” Fluttershy jumped in.
“Yeah, how did you first become a Super Saiyan?” Rainbow asked.
Arctic looked to Glacious. He knew if he was going to tell this story, he would have to tweak it a bit. He remembered his mother wanted to keep her true Alicorn form secret. After all the times she had been chased away and had ponies outright try to fight her, mistaking her for somepony else, assumedly another Alicorn who she apparently resembled, she knew she’d need to keep her Alicorn form under wraps. At least, for now anyways.
So, Arctic first figures out ways to alter the story, yet tell the truth. It would be tricky, especially with Applejack there. Being the Element of Honesty, she can tell when somepony’s lying. But he knew she wouldn’t push it if she felt it wasn’t necessary and the lie was for at least a good reason.
“Alright. I’ll tell you all the story, of how I became a Super Saiyan.
========== In the past ==========
It was the middle of Winter. Arctic at this point in time was a young boy, at the age of 12. Was training with Glacious, working to perfect his ice magic. He was working on creating an Ice Double to train with. He had been working on building his ki for a while. He had managed to perfect flying and learn energy blasts which did improve his strength training with Glacious.
The ice double he managed to create was slowly taking shape, but crumbled to small bits. Arctic let out a breath he hadn’t known he was holding.
“This is so tough.” Arctic groaned.
Glacious smiled. “You’re doing well, my child. It would’ve taken any other pony forever to learn to create an Ice Copy.”
Arctic smiled. “So, where are we going to sleep tonight?”
Arctic and Glacious as they had been on their own, and couldn’t exactly find a place to stay, had been living in caves or Glacious managed to find any abandoned little hut for them to stay in on their travels.
“I suppose we could find someplace to stay tonight. It is to be a rather cold night tonight. And while I can handle it, your body has yet to get used to the colder temperatures.” Glacious said.
The two decided to have a little race. The two ran and soared through their air, weaving in and out of trees. The two had fun just racing and flying through the air. The snow they passed kicked up in beautiful swirls and the starts above shined brilliantly in the sky. It was peaceful, outright magical.
The two eventually made it to the outskirts of a small town.
“A town? This far out? This place looks isolated from so many other places.” Arctic commented.
“Hopefully we can find a little hut away from here.” Glacious said as she walked deeper into the trees.
Arctic, while he had at this point mostly come to terms with the fact the ponies don’t seem to take to kindly to him and Glacious, he decided keep away.
The two had managed to find an abandoned hut. Glacious figured this would be a good time for Arctic to practice his ice magic.using his ice magic, he managed to patch up the hut with his ice magic. It took a bit of a toll on him, but it came together well.
The duo managed to start a fire in the chimney and Glacious began getting ready to go out to search for some food.
“I will be back soon, my child.” Glacious said.
“Okay, mother.” Arctic hugged her and watched her walk out, her cloak firm around her.
Arctic sat, patiently waiting for Glacious to come back. However, that patience fell when Glacious had been gone for over 7 hours. He put on his cloak and hood and decided to try to find her, worried she may be in danger, despite knowing she was strong enough to handle herself. He was still worried at least.
Arctic trekked through the snow and cold, calling Glacious’s name and sensing for her ki. However, the cold had gotten the better of him. While he had grown used to the cold and could handle cold temperatures, tonight was colder than usual. As he walked through the snow, he had begun to grow sluggish, tired, ready to collapse. As he walked, he heard a voice.
“Hey!”
Arctic looked around for the source.
“Over here!”
Arctic looked over and discovered the source. The voice belonged to a filly. She had a large coat on with a bundle of sticks on her back. He was wondering why the filly was calling to him and not running away. Then he realized he was still draped in his cloak. He walked up to the filly. Till he was stopped. A large hoof was pressed against his chest.
“Now hold on. We can’t go inviting some other to the house, Blair.” Said the stallion in a Scottish accent.
“Come one, paw. He needs help and needs to get warmed up.” The filly, Blair, said.
The stallion looked at Arctic with a suspicious eyes.
“Alright. I suppose we’ll take a chance. Fella seems like he’ll need to get warmed up.” The stallion said.
The stallion lead Arctic away. The three got close to the town. As they walked, Blair chimed in, trying to start a conversation with Arctic.
“So, what’s yer name, stranger?”
“Arctic Fuyumori.” Arctic said.
“Really? That name sounds so cool! My name’s Blair Stronghold.” She said. Then she pointed to the stallion. “That’s my paw. Magnus Stronghold.”
The stallion, Magnus, just grunted. Arctic and Blair soon began animatedly talking to each other. Though, Arctic did keep some things of his history secret. Eventually they made it into the town. With it being this cold, ponies all stayed inside. Though some were out and gave the two, Blair and Magnus, waves. Some did give Arctic a wave, but seemed a bit reluctant.
The three got into Magnus’s home. Inside, a mare was diligently working on cooking a meal. The mare saw her husband and daughter and hugged them.
“There’s the two loves of my life!” The mare said happily, till she noticed Arctic. “Well, who’s this?”
“His name’s Arctic.” Blair said.
“Nice to meet you ma’am.” Arctic said.
“Well, nice to meet yah. My name’s Bonnie Stronghold.” Bonnie said as she hugged Arctic.
The family let Arctic stay to get warm and eat the soup Bonnie had made. The four slowly began to open up and the Stronghold family was pretty animatedly talking with Arctic. Things were going well. Time had passed in the blink of an eye and it the four were getting ready to head to sleep. As the four were about to sleep, Arctic had figured he should go. Find the hut and rest as he waited for Glacious. As he did, Blair tried to stop him.
As she did, she woke her parents. The three tried to stop him. As they did, they managed to pull off his cloak. The three ponies were terrified. Magnus, believing Arctic was a monster and up to no good, he pulled out a pitchfork and charged Arctic. Acrtic snatched his cloak and ran off, Blair’s voice crying out, wondering if Arctic lied to her and really was out to hurt her and her family.
The ruckus alerted the others of the town and soon, a mob of ponies was charging Arctic to do him in. They were ready to kill him. As Arctic ran off, Glacious found him. She had returned from getting food. She had returned to the hut and went to find him once she saw he was gone. And seeing Arctic running away from a mob, she was a bit upset with Arctic, yet understood him. She knew he must’ve went looking for her when she didn’t return and ended up in that town they saw. And now, she would have to help him lose them.
Glacious quickly jumped in to help her son. She began helping Arctic get away, even fending off the mob. As they ran, things got worse. A loud long howl echoed throughout the woods. A large Timberwolf and a pack of dozens of smaller ones came up. The Alpha and his pack. The pack all charged and went after Arctic, Glacious, and the mob.
Arctic and Glacious could defend themselves, but the mob couldn’t. At least not well. The mob did there best to fend off the timberwolves and seemed to bring down one or two, but the wolves were too tenacious. The one really fighting well was Magnus. He was doing well until the large Alpha stepped in.Magnus and the Alpha fought hard, but it was clear Magnus wouldn’t last long. Arctic could see this and charged in to help Magnus, but he rejected Arctic’s help. Which would lead to his downfall.
Magnus had gotten beat. And soundly. He was on the verge of losing his life. But Arctic, remembering the good moments with Magnus and his family, and seeing Magnus nearly at deaths door, he snapped. With a might roar, the roar of the Oozaru behind him, he transformed into a Super Saiyan for the very first time. Arctic defeated the Alpha in a flash. While he knew he couldn’t quite heal Magnus, he made sure to quickly take Magnus to the town. He went back to the woods, but stayed close enough to see ponies take him quickly to the hospital. After that, Arctic left with Glacious and the two left the town behind them.
========== In the Present ==========
The group all listened to the story closely. They were enthralled by the whole thing. Even the Cakes were listening to the story. They all were upset, amazed, and a multitude of emotions.
“Did you ever go see Magnus and his family again?” Pinkie asked.
“No. Honestly I don’t know if Magnus even survived or not. Besides, I’m pretty sure the town wouldn’t exactly accept me.” Arctic said.
The ponies all thought back to how they behaved when they saw Arctic for the first time.
“Well, maybe they will. We were the same and we accepted you.” Fluttershy said.
“If we can accept yah and become her friend, ah’m sure they’ll do the same.” Applejack chimed in.
Arctic smiled. He did wonder if they would accept him. He did wonder if Magnus was okay. Perhaps, someday, he will go see them again. And maybe, he’ll become friends with them. Real friends. Maybe he should write a letter to them at some point. Or at least write a letter Blair one day. He knows for certain Pinkie would probably help him write it. Knowing her, she’d even send some kind of cake to help. Arctic just hung out with his friends. He was glad that this time, things went different. This time, he had truly gained some friends, or more accurately, a family.
