Also these were originally submissions for Whumptober 2022. Take note that mature rating (plus the warnings for gore and violence) only applys to the story 'Everypony has a breaking point'. The first one, 'Ruling over Equestria is a lot of work', is basically Discord trying to comfort Fluttershy after a long day of wrecking havoc over Equestria. Ruling over Equestria is a lot of work It had felt like an eternity since she had become the Queen of Chaos. But this is what she wanted, to spend the rest of her life by his side. That's what she kept telling herself, seeing as Discord had granted her immortality it would be until the universe fell apart for their reign to end. Since being crowned as King and Queen they had left much destruction in their wake. It wasn't an easy feat taking down Celestia and her sister, but Fluttershy was able to convince her friends that something evil had taken over those two. With them on their side they never stood a chance against the power of Chaos and the Elements of Harmony. A part of Fluttershy still hurt with the fact that she betrayed her friends and the rest of Equestria, but this was how it's all meant to be. This was the life that she had chosen. She was done grieving for the life that she once had and, for now, all she could do was focus on the present and the future. At the time this all began she didn't know how to describe the feeling, or more than likely wished to not admit it, but she had a burning hatred for many of the ponies. For the way that they treated her or many of her animal friends. ~~~~~~~~~~ Discord knew of all of this very well, as he was the only one that she confided in when feeling this more disturbed and negative feelings. Unfortunately for her he fed into her anger. He didn't mean any ill intent by it as with hearing about all the times she had been mistreated it made him enraged. There was no way Discord could let any of that slide. He very much cared for her and he wished that others could see the kind pony that she was. After much planning, well as much as Discord had the patience for, he managed fit in some revenge for Fluttershy next to plan to take over Equestria. Then, after all was said and done, there wasn't anyone better to rule by his side than his dear beloved Fluttershy. With having been by her side for so many years, before and after they took over Equestria, he could always tell when something was wrong. There were times where Fluttershy would distance herself when dealing with complex emotions, especially if they were negative ones. No matter what he conjured up to make her happier it was never enough. She feared the backlash, of the disappointment of those close to her. Or, even worse, them leaving and seeing as she only had Discord left that fear was even stronger than ever before. It wasn't until, one night, Discord found his love hidden away in one of the many towers of their castle. As much as she tried to hide it he could tell that she had been crying. Without a world he knelt down, picked her up and held her closely to his fur. As he did this Fluttershy buried her head into his chest, the tears came back one by one before she began to cry heavily once more. They sat there in silence for only a few minutes with it only being interrupted by the rain happening outside and Fluttershy's quiet sobbing. When she had finally settled down Fluttershy looked up at discord, her eye's all puffy and red. Taking a deep breath Fluttershy spoke up with a crack and strain in her voice. "I don't know if I can keep going on like this." "What do you mean my dear?" It was rare to hear Discord sound concerned. But Fluttershy always did bring out the best of him. "I know how much all of this means to you." The pony meekly said as she looked out the window to the chaos happening outside. "I've tried to make you proud and attempt to bring as much chaos down on Equestria as you've done. But my magic is no match for yours. No matter how hard I try I'm struggling to keep up. My magic is now not what it used to be. I've tried to rest as much as I can, or make up ointments from Zecora's book, nothing seems to be working. All I wanted to do was please you, and show you that I'm worthy of being the Queen of Chaos, but now I'm just a disappointment." Fluttershy's eyes began to tear up again as her lips began to quiver. Discord gently placed his hoof under her chin, slightly raising her head to match her eyes with his. "Oh my darling! I could never be disappointed in you." Discord said with that charming yet gentle voice of his. "I'm sure we can find a way to fix this, we always do! But you have nothing to be ashamed about. In the mean time I can bring about enough destruction for the both of us!" Fluttershy's face turned from that of sadness and shame to relived and loved. Although he didn't appear it to other's Fluttershy was thankful for how caring he was to her. It might take some time but they were sure that, in no time, they would be running rampant through the streets of Equestria once more. //-------------------------------------------------------// Everypony has a breaking point //-------------------------------------------------------// Everypony has a breaking point Fluttershy, the kind hearted pony, could always see the good in people no matter who they were. She had made friends with the likes of Discord after all. There were very rare times that she ever let her anger show, especially in front of others. A pony could count on one hoof that amount of times it ever happened. But this day was going to be very different from any of those moments. A pony, or maybe more, had gone too far. Fluttershy hadn't bothered to deduce who. There was blood on someponies hooves, and they needed to pay! ~~~~~~~~~~ It all started on any normal day. Fluttershy was spending her day checking up on all of her animal friends.. Many of them had unfortunately fallen ill recently and, although it was a lot of work. Fluttershy didn't mind in the slightest. It was what she was good at, and in her nature to look after their wellbeing. She knew that, if the roles were reversed, they would do the same. Over the next few days it had become a routine for the pony. Although this day was about to be very different, and very deadly. As Fluttershy went about to each of the animals homes, she found that not a single one of them were there. Even the animals families and friends who lived nearby were all missing. Fluttershy tried to remain optimistic. It was a beautiful day out, so it wasn't out of the ordinary for them to spend time roaming around outside. That was until she passed by the Everfree Forest. Something smelt off, at least a little bit more than usual. On some windy days, if it blew in a certain direction, the awful stench from the swamps within would drift towards Ponyville. But this smell was different and unlike anything Fluttershy had ever smelt. A part of her wished to ignore it, with the possibility of it just being Zecora brewing up one of her potions to be the likely culprit. But her guts, and instincts, kept telling her something was horribly wrong about all of this, that needed to be checked out. In this moment her curiosity won, and knowing that there was no time to waste, she shuffled her hooves and gulped. With what little courage that she could carry with her she trotted off into the Everfree Forest, and towards the awful smell. ~~~~~~~~~~ At first it was hard to pinpoint exactly where the stench was coming from. But with each step she made into the forest the stronger the smell got. The worse it got, the easier it was to tell the direction of where the awful smell was coming from. It was becoming much more difficult to breath as she continued on, her eyes watering with every step that she took. As she put one hoof in front of the other Fluttershy was trying to fight the urge to vomit with how potenent it was becoming. She froze for a few moments as come through to a brief clearing. Fluttershy had finally found the source of the smell. There was no holding back now as the pony hurled up the contents of her stomach. It took until she was nearly dry wrenching before she could pull herself together. As she wiped her mouth she noticed that tears had begun streaming down her cheeks. How could this happen? Why would any pony want to do such a cruel thing? So many thoughts raced through her head as she stood there in shock and horror, unable to pull her eyes away from the corpses of her dearly beloved animals. All of them piled on top of one another, all mutilated almost beyond recognition. In this moment Fluttershy tasted something bitter, almost metallic like on her lips. As she went to try and wipe it off, thinking she hadn't gotten rid of the vomit, she looked down at her hoof. She had gotten rid of her vomit, but it had been replaced by the blood that now caked her hoof. Fluttershy hadn't noticed that she had been standing in a pool of blood, the very same blood that lead straight down to... A hoarse scream was emitted from Fluttershy before she bolted away. She didn't care which direction she went in, as long as it was as far away from the clearing as possible! Galloping for as long as her hooves could carry her she could carry her, she tripped over a branch. The pony tried to get back up, but she was too exhausted to carry on. As she collapsed back onto the ground, and before she could fully catch her breath, the tears came back. There was no holding them back this time, nor did she want to anymore, as she allowed herself to begin sobbing. ~~~~~~~~~~ By the time she had finally come back to her senses the moon was already high in the sky. Fluttershy had no more tears to shed as she picked herself up. Although this time the feelings of sadness and grief was now anger. Pure rage. The type that she, nor any pony, had witnessed before. None of those poor animals deserved what happened to them, and no pony was going to get away with it! Fluttershy was already plotting her revenge, not caring if any pony who got in the way was harmed in the process. There was soon to be much more bloodshed tonight, but this time on the streets of Ponyville.
