Equestria's Mew resident

Moments after the portal closed, May began to awaken, sitting up off of the ground as she shakes her head.

"Mhg, owie, my head....hurts...?" May grumbles as she opens her eyes. "W-where am I?! And is that a crystal tree?!" May exclaims in shock before noticing a small note fixated on her belly.

"H-huh?" May mumbles as she grabs the note and begins to read, her eyes growing wide as she does. "Dear May- I am sorry to inform you that you are no longer in your home world, you have fallen to your illness, but! You are not dead, you can thank me and Arceus for that, for we have taken it upon ourselves to revive you in this new world with a body, and we know you will enjoy the body you have been given, Afterall, they are your favorite Pokemon, the genetic Pokemon: Mew."

"W-wh...I....I died...?" May whispers to herself as tears form in her eyes. "B-but... What about.... Mama...?"

As may is swallowed by her sadness, a dark blue energy begins to seep from her body, however, before the strange blue energy can do anything, the crystal tree pulses in a warm light that feels..... Strangely comforting.

"......Hello...?" May whispers as she stares at the crystalline tree, her eyes widening as the tree pulsed in reply. However, before May can truly process this, she hears a voice by the entrance of the cave.

"Are you sure it came from down here Twilight? Isn't the tree of harmony supposed to, you know, prevent magic spikes or something?" A brash feminine voice spoke as another replied.

"It is Rainbow, that's why it's so concerning that there was a magic spike powerful enough to render unicorn magic temporarily useless." The second voice spoke as six shadows approached from around the corner of the caves entrance.

Frightened, May floats behind the crystalline tree seconds before six equines walked into the cave, two appear to be regular equines while two had wings, one had a horn, and one had both wings and a horn.

"So, what exactly do you think could have caused the magic spike thingy?" The pink earth pony asked as she bounced along with her friends.

May watched as the six ponies approached the crystal tree, worried she might be found, she curled up around herself, unaware of her body slowly becoming translucent.

“I don't know Pinkie, that's why we're here to check and find out.” Twilight answered.

“Hey, Twilight! I found something!” The rainbow maned Pegasus spoke as she picks up a small piece of paper with her wing. ’The note!’ May mentally screams to herself with worry.

Twilight takes the note from her rainbow maned friend with her magic as she starts reading it at first she looks confused then shocked. “Girls, I don't think we're alone in here.”

“Um…what do you m-mean Twilight?” The yellow Pegasus muttered meekly.

Twilight showed them all the note and they had the same reaction as her from confused then to shock. “Re’ ya saying this may filly might still be here.” The orange cowpony asked.

Twilight nods. “I'm sure, and whatever brought her here must have been what caused the magic spike, Dimensional travel and transmutation are very powerful forms of magic when used in conjunction with each other.”

“Then what are we standing around here for if she's probably still here then we should be able to find her easily not that many hiding spots in here anyways and if she's not here she might be out in the forest before we got here.” The rainbow maned pegasus says as they all nodded in agreement.

“Okay some of us will look in here while the others go search the castle or the forest incase she did leave before we arrived.” Twilight says turning to the other mares. “I'll search here who else will help?”

“O-oh, um…I'll help here Twilight…i-if that's okay with everypony…” the yellow Pegasus replied, the white Unicorn nodding as she steps forward.

“Wonderful idea darling, I'll help out here as well, leaving the fastest of us to explore the forest.” The white unicorn spoke with confidence.

“I-I'll stay and help too if you don't mind that is?” The butterfly yellow pegasus says shyly.

“Of course Fluttershy, you're more than welcome to help us.” Twilight nods with a smile as she watches the rainbow maned Pegasus, the pink pony, and the pony with the hat all salute and ran/fly out of the cave.

As the ponies searched for May she remained quiet as to not let the ponies find her but she was unaware that she had unintentionally made herself invisible.

After a few minutes of thoroughly searching the cave, the three ponies, and Pokemon, are surprised when the Tree of harmony pulses a soothing blue light, Twilight's eyes widening as she sees the light seeming to bend around a small creature attached to the tree.

“Um Twilight do you think that's her?” Fluttershy asked when they spotted May with the tree of harmony help.

Noticing the three ponies looking at her, May lets out a small “Eep!” And pulls herself further behind the crystal tree, accidentally dropping her invisibility.

“Hey it's okay we're not going to hurt you we're friendly right girls?” Twilight asked, turning to her two friends as she tried to reassure May that they meant her no harm.

“...y-your…T-Twilight… R-right?” May whimpers quietly, gaining confused looks from Rarity and Twilight and a surprised look from Fluttershy.

“Um I'm sorry can you say that again?” Twilight asked.

“Um…your Twilight, right?” May asked again, a little louder this time, Rarity and Twilight still looking confused as Fluttershy is still surprised.

“Um Twilight darling can you understand her?” Rarity asked.

“No I can't all I'm hearing is just mew just like you what about you Fluttershy can you understand her?” Twilight asked turning to her shy friend.

“Oh, um…I can, s-she was asking if you were Twilight, Twilight…” Fluttershy answered, surprising May.

“Oh um yes that's me I'm Twilight, that's Rarity.” Twilight says as she points to her unicorn friend. “And that's Fluttershy.” She says pointing to Fluttershy.

May hums, hesitantly peeking her head out from behind the Tree of Harmony.

The three mares gasped after finally getting a good look at her. “Oh my I've never seen anything like her sh-she, she looks so cute!” Fluttershy says excitedly as she instinctively rushed to hold May.

May squeaks and tries to hide again, but isn't as fast as Fluttershy, May getting wrapped in Fluttershy's mama-bear hug, May initially trying to pull away but calming at the unknowingly comforting touch.

“Oh you're so cute you look like a cat but at the same time you're not a cat but you're still so cute.” Fluttershy says as she hugs May tightly but not too tightly.

“O-oh…um, thank you…?” May mumbles, a little confused as she nuzzles into the hug.

Twilight cleared her throat getting both May and Fluttershy attention. “Um May was it? you mind if you can tell us how you got here and if you know where you are right now?” She asked.

May thinks for a moment before nodding her head, knowing it was a way she could say yes with the others being able to understand her.

“Okay then can you tell us how you got here?” Twilight asked.

“U-um…I don't know…T-the note should explain e-everything…I think…” May murmurs, Fluttershy translating to the two ponies.

Twilight re-reads the note before she looked back at May with a sorrowful and sympathetic look. “I'm sorry May.”

May looks down in sadness before hearing Twilight ask a question. “May, if you don't mind answering…who is Arceus?”

“WHAT?! YOU DON'T KNOW WHO ARCEUS IS?!” May shouts in shock, her eyes bulging wide as Fluttershy stutters a translation.

Twilight Just shook her head in response but before anything else could be Twilight other friends came back.

“Yo! Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity! You find her yet?” Rainbow exclaimed as she flew into the cave, followed by Applejack and Pinkie Pie.

“Yeah we found her she was still here in the cave hiding behind the Tree of harmony.” Twilight answered.

“Well darn tootin’ that's some good luck fer us, it's starting to get dark.” Applejack spoke as she pointed one of her hooves outside of the cave.

“Yeah you're right Applejack I think we should return back to Ponyville.” Twilight says after seeing how late it's getting.

“Um but what about May? We um…We can't just leave her here.” Fluttershy says as still held onto the young mew.

“You're right Fluttershy and since none of us but you can really understand her maybe she can stay with you?” Twilight suggested.

“O-oh…um, i-if it's okay with you, may…?” Fluttershy asks as she looked down at the small Mew wrapped in her hooves, smiling softly as May nods with a small yawn.

“Okay it's settled then, then let's head back everypony.” Twilight says as she turns to leave.

Everyone nods as they begin to follow Twilight, May floating out of Fluttershy's hooves and Into her pink mane, blending in seamlessly.

Fluttershy smiled at this as she and her friends made their way out of the forest.
