Pinkie has always had something to be excited about. She was always either excited for any chance to throw a party to rear its head or to see Flutters' beautiful face after a day of work. However, today was a whole other reason to be excited and quite nervous at the same time... for today was the day of her wedding. She was to be found in a room of Canterlot castle, offered by Celestia, trotting around with the occasional bounce mixed in. Giggling and mumbled phrases of happiness was all that Applejack and Twilight, who were sitting in the far corner of the room, heard from the lucky pink pony.

After a few moments, Applejack got curious enough to ask,"Hey Pinkie Pie, ya nervous?" Pinkie slowed to a halt and responded. "Yeah, of course I'm a little nervous. I want this to be great! With nothing... going... wrong." The last word was almost silent enough to not be heard. Her colors darkened slightly and her mane lost some volume as all possible wedding-ruining scenarios played through her mind. One after another, seeing every way this day could be lost to a realm of horrid words and dark memories. The other two mares in the room, seeing a way to stop depressed Pinkie from emerging, hurried to her and enveloped her in a tight hug.

"It'll be okay Pinkie. It'll be okay... nothing will ruin your very special day." Twilight tried to comfort the pony on the verge of depression, and felt relieved when a hoof wrapped around her. Same with AJ, but on a much higher degree, for she had seen full-blown depression with Pinkie... and that was not a fun experience. Pinkie sniffled and said,"Thank you girls," in a half-quiet voice. A moment of hugging later, her colors returned in a flash, along with any lost volume, and she bounced out of the hug. "I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!" The song that Pinkie was singing now made the two giggle furiously. "That's Pinkie Pie for ya, mood swingin' in the blink of an eye! Haha!"

In a room quite a bit away, Flutters was having the same last minute problems. However, she was deeply analyzing them. This caused her to revert to her older self due to worry and was breathing into a paper bag. Her voice was sheepish again as she quickly said,"What if the local invites hate us for being lesbians? What If they stop the wedding? Would they hurt me? Would they hurt Pinkie?" That last question put a fire in her belly. The thought of anypony hurting her wife-to-be was an enraging one. Rainbow Dash and Rarity noticed this and changed their tactics from encouragement to a simple tight hug and soothing words. "It'll be fine Darling... if Celestia herself approves of, and even arranges, a... whats the term? 'Gay marriage'? I'll use that, than the citizens of Canterlot will have no choice other than to approve." What Rarity said drained the fire from Flutter's eyes and put her in a normal state.

"Yeah, what she said." Rainbows added comment made bride straight-up laugh. This was quite the comforting sight compared to the emotions of earlier. "Besides," she continued,"if they even tried to stop the wedding, I'd personally escort them out. A little 'buck' to my bite, you could say." Some ego-boosting rambling emulated from Rainbow after that, with rarity constantly rolling her eyes. Flutters, however, didn't even know a world existed out of her own at the moment. She was too busy concentrating on what wonderful friends she has and how life will be when she's married to the most perfect mare in Equestria. Her life would be perfect. She saw the two of them in that little cottage a few years from now, a little foal in her arms.... how that would come to be was beyond her, but it would happen one way or another. Then all other types of stereotypical features of the 'perfect family' raced through her mind... bringing a soft smile to her face.

The two mares came to a slow halt long ago and just stared happily at Flutters. They pulled her out of her own reality with a tight hug. "I'm going to love today girls... no matter what happens, because Pinkie and me will be together forever. Happy as can be." This hug continued for a long moment until Rarity pulled herself away and said,"We should get that dress on you darling... we want Pinkie to practically drool at the sight of you."

Rainbow giggled a little and nodded her head. The imagining of Pinkie being so love-struck that she was drooling was actually quite funny to her. Flutters decided to say, to nopony in particular,"I wonder how Pinkie's gonna look..."

________________________________________________________________________________

Pinkie Pie was standing right where Shining stood on the day of his wedding with Princess Cadence. The decor was a brilliant mixture of Pinkie's regular party furnishings and nature, with the ribbons and banners of multiple different colors hanging from nearly everything and fauna growing up the walls and even around the ribbons and such. She wore a tuxedo of pure black with white frill extending from the cuffs, a tie with a psychedelic mixture of colors standing out from the tux. On her head was a top hat that was half the size of what was normal in the current age... yet it was of normal standards about a hundred or so years ago. Next to her was Applejack, Twilight, Inkie, Blinkie, and the Cakes. Her parents weren't there on the account of their death about 4 years ago, leaving the rock farm to the remaining Pie sisters. From what they told Pinkie, it was doing quite well.

A piano and organ started to play in unison to alert everyone in the room, which was about a hundred or so ponies from all over Equestria, mainly Ponyville, to sit down. The wedding was now underway and Pinkie couldn't wait to see her bride. She would be bouncing through the ceiling if it were anything else... but since it was her wedding, she felt a need for maturity. She still felt like doing so, more than most would believe. The doors on the opposite side of the room slowly opened to reveal the cutie mark crusaders, again being the flower girls, who began their trek forward, leaving a trail of rose pedals for what was now undoubtedly the most beautiful mare in all of existence.

Flutters was in a dress that had fabric that faded from an elegant purple to a solid pink. It was long enough to trail behind her, but not enough to drag. Her hair was done up a a style that Pinkie was sure didn't have a name but it looked good on her bride, and it was held together by thin, colorful straps of fabric with a flower like piece holding them at the ear. For a split moment... Pinkie saw nothing but her. Just Flutters. The perfect bride.

Once she snapped out of it, she noticed Flutters' father next to the recent occupant of her little world. He was a tall, built up stallion with a dark yellow coat and dark red mane, both of which were slightly faded due to age. He held himself high and proudly walked next to his daughter. That is way better than when we told him... On that mental note, the pink earth pony noted that the Canterlot citizens were either looking confused or whispering to others. Flutters took a mental note of that as well when she stood next to her father, Dash, and Rarity. Not a second after Flutters' stopped moving, Celestia flew up from under the balcony beyond the steps that was the stage for the wedding, landing just one step away from almost between the two mares she was to wed.

"To all in attendance, thank you dearly for coming to this grand occasion. For this is the wedding of two of the Elements of Harmony!" Clapping was heard as well as a couple disgruntled mumbles. "Let me make this very clear, if anypony here has an aversion to what will happen here this day, please exit the room. One of my personal guards will escort you out." With that said, a elderly-looking Canterlot couple got up and left the room. Celestia, as well as the two elements to be wed, were glad that was handled as well as it was. "Now, onto the more happy part..." A quick laugh was shared among the ponies in attendance before quickly quieting down to let the princess continue. The princess then levitated the engagement pendants above both ponies and draped them around their necks.

"We have all been gathered to witness the union of two souls that wish to be forever intertwined in the bond of matrimony. May this bond be forever strong, and still hold meaning decades from now." The two mares wrapped a hoof around the other's and simply starred into each other's eyes. "Pinkamena Pie, Element of Laughter, do you take Flutters to be your beloved wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, in good times and in harsh, for as long as you two shall live?"

     "I do."

"And do you Flutters, Element of Kindness, take Pinkamena to be your beloved wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, in good times and in harsh, for as long as you two shall live?"

     "I do."

Celestia smiled softly, leaned her head forward and said,"Then I, Princess Celestia, hereby pronounce you wife... and wife." She looked over to Pinkie. "You may now kiss the bride." All of Pinkie's excitement was let out in a single burst forward that had her and Flutters' lips locked in the most passionate embrace either had experienced up to this point. A symphony of clapping hooves were heard as they continued the kiss. They parted at the same time to turn to the happy crowd and waved to everyone.

Afterwards, everybody head to a larger room, similar to the Gala room, that was decorated very similar to the wedding room... but more like a forest without trees. Everything from the banners to the tablecloths looked and felt to be made of fresh dark-green vines. In a far corner of the rectangular room was a DJ set with speakers that were twice the height of said set. Behind this tech was Octavia Philiharmonica, looking over (apparently) her little section of this oasis. "Wait," a confused Pinkie began to ask,"where's Scratchy? She usually DJ's everything... you play the... oh I can't remember. Violin? Viola? Flute? Double Bass? Triangle? Piano? Bassoon? Cello?"

"Correct! I play the cello Ms.Pie. It may be constructed to look more like a bass, but hey... what can you do?" Octavia cut in to what she was sure was a list of every musical instrument known to the equine race. Vinyl then, in a rather surprising move, lept out from under one of the tables and grabbed Pinkie by a hind leg, screaming like a mad-mare the whole time. This was quite startling to Pinkie, as she jumped up to the ceiling and held onto a support that come out near the top of a column. "Pinkie!" Said mare looked down to see Vinyl hanging from her hoof. "How in the wide world of Equestria did you jump up here!"

Pinkie giggled a little and said, rather calmly,"You startled me Scratchy... hehe!" Vinyl started to chuckle softly when she remembered where she was.

"Would somepony be so kind as to get me and her back down to planet BUCKING EARTH!?" Twilight chuckled as she levitated the two mares back onto solid ground.

After that little escapade was over and done, attention was turned back to Octavia, who was wiping a tear of laughter off her cheek. After a moment of thought and glancing between the cellist and DJ, Pinkie remembered her original conversation and asked,"Why are you behind the set?"

"That is an interesting point darling, why are you where Vinyl here usually is?" Rarity chimed in.

Octavia blushed a little,"Well... with my cello performances being few and far between, I asked Vinyl to teach me how to use this infernal contraption." Vinyl grew an annoyed look on her face.

"I swear, she couldn't tell me that the thing was made of metal at first! Imagine how hard it was to teach 'Tavi how to make music!" Vinyl shivered at the memories.

Octavia glared at her marefriend,"HEY! I LEARNED," she yelled,"I even got pretty good." She looked over to the brides and noticed that everypony was now in the room as well. "Would you two like to hear what I have made for this occasion? I'm still a bit new to actually playing it so if I mess up.... just give me some leeway okay?" Seeing the vehemently nodding heads of the brides, she put on a pair of headphones that were set to a lower volume and bass than the speakers, for she was not completely used to that type of assault yet. She turned on the station and began to play a little something she made herself. This was instantly greeted with praise and was a great starter to a great reception where the presents were plenty, the cake was more delicious than the 'Mmmmh' that was made a few years back, and merriment was rampant.

...The two lovebirds known as Pinkie Pie and Flutters couldn't have asked for a better wedding day.
