Guardian awoke to the slow creak of the door to his room opening. With his back to the door Guardian stirred slightly, opening his eyes to the disturbance. "Hello sir" came a voice from the pony that entered his room "Princess Celestia sent me to check you and see how your healing was progressing" Guardian twitched one of his ears listening to the pony as she talked "Come on Twilight its clear he doesn't want to talk. I don't blame him either after what happened" another voice said "SPIKE" Twilight hushed Spike mid-sentence. A voice powerful and yet subtle arose from Guardian. "It appears my matters have gone beyond the royal family to the common folk" Twilight pinned her ears back at the comment of common folk "No, only four of us know. The Princesses, Spike and I Twilight Sparkle" Guardian’s voice reverberated through the room again "It would be best if you did not interfere with royal matters. Especially anything to do with myself" Twilight snapped back "Celestia appointed me the task of checking in on you. As her loyal student I will not leave this hospital till I know that you are receiving the best care available from this facility and can send a detailed report to send her highness" Guardian grew ever annoyed with this pest bothering him especially a pest who addressed him so casually as if he were of the common rabble. Clearly this Twilight Sparkle did not know who she addressed. Guardian was not surprised, very few pony folk knew of the Slayer lineage let alone of the origins of the three who amalgamated the Earth Ponies, Pegasi and Unicorn before the chaotic reign of Discord. Referred to as the Gatherers. In the history books not much in known outside the collaborated knowledge of the Slayers. Other than the royal family which was bestowed with the task of raising the sun and moon by the Gatherers, Star swirl the Bearded, Commander Hurricane and Chancellor Puddinghat father of Chancellor Puddinghead where the last remaining ponies that where of direct descent of the original Gatherers that the Slayers protected at any cost. As time progressed the lineage was lost to the ages for the
Slayers rarely wrote the history they knew down on parchment. The few that had been written down was fiercely protected by the younger generations bestowed the task of guarding said documents. The remaining Slayers tasked themselves with researching and tracking the lineage for without this the Slayer's purpose was without cause. They served as personal body guards to those of descent from the Earth pony, Pegasus and Unicorn who brought together the three races to keep the land from falling to chaos and upheaval. In time they also orchestrated a campaign against the tyrant Discord and bring peace to their lands ravaged by chaos and disorder he wrought in line with Princess Celestia and Luna Guardian sighed "Tell the Princess that my healing is continuing as scheduled and I expect full recovery within two weeks" as Guardian spoke Spike wrote furiously to keep up " and further more to send a royal letter instead of meddlesome underlings" Guardian finished. Spike frowned at the last words that he iterated. Twilight glared at the back of Guardians motionless head "Thank you sir we." Twilight paused for a moment as a thought ran through her head "We will be on our way. Apologies for disturbing you" Guardian rose a hoof "You're excused." with that he covered his head with a blanket. Once outside Twilight turned to Spike "Add an addendum to this report Spike" Spike nodded and pulled out his quill again. "Also Princess Celestia it occurred to me that this Pegasus you have charged me with is of royal descent. I am not aware of such royalty as he. Would there be a book in the royal library of Canterlot that I could use to research this? Your faithful student Twilight Sparkle" No sooner than Spike had sent the letter one returned though instead of the light parchment that Princess Celestia sent, This one was tinted a darker shade of blue with the royal wax seal in the middle "Twilight Sparkle, Thank you for the report on thy guest in the Ponyville Hospital. I shall take over thy responsibility for him here forth.
As for the book you hath requested will be sent to thou post haste ~Princess Luna" Twilights eyes widened as Spike finished Luna's letter. "Princess Luna? Why would she respond to my letter to Celestia?" Twilight was interrupted by Spike belching out a flame. A larger flame than before coalesced into a ragged looking book. Then another letter from Luna came forth. "PS this book is from my personal library. Look under the section titled Slayers of the book. I hope this shall be helpful in thy search." Spike Rubbed his stomach "A little warning would be much appreciated." groaning at the pain of the delivery from the book the following morning Guardian awoke to a knock at his door. Rolling over he rubbed his eyes looking at the door "Enter" he said with a long drawn out yawn. Apple Jack walked through the door slowly staring at Guardian. Guardian focused his eyes after rubbing the sleep out of them. "Ah! The pony responsible for saving my life. Tell me what is your name I must know" "uh Apple Jack" she responded sheepishly "Apple Jack. A wonderful name I might add" Guardian noticed that she was carrying a basket on her back that was covered in a cloth that bared the mark of the apple family. "Pray tell what the burden you have is" Guardian asked with curiosity Apple Jack perked her ears up at the question "Why this here is a care package me an' Granny whipped up for ya. Everything here is made from the apples from Sweet Apple acres. The Finest apples in all of Equestria!" Apple Jack set the basket full of assorted treats on a night stand next to Guardian's bed. The smell of the assortment wafted into Guardians' nose the pleasant aroma made him salivate. Guardian pulled his covers off and proceeded to stand with much difficulty. Apple Jack rushed to his side "Hold on there partner, you’re still recoverin' ain't no need to strain yourself" As Guardian stood fully he towered over Apple Jack almost a full head and a half over her own. Apple Jack knees went weak for the slightest moment at the sight of him Guardian smiled "I'm a quick healer. Especially with the excellent care offered by this establishment." Guardian looked back down at Apple Jack noticing that she was staring at his flank "I ain't never seen a cutie mark like that before" she muttered with a hint of awe Guardian looked at his cutie mark "It's the mark of the Royal Slayers we are protectors of a lineage of old." looking back to her he twitched one if his ears in a nervous manner. It was not every day that a mare would comment on his cutie mark in such manner "Well I am not sure of what all that all entails there Mr. But if you are of royalty" Apple Jack began bowed in respect "Rise fair Apple Jack for I see you as an equal and nothing less. You may call me by my birth name Guardian Hammers."
For a moment Apple Jack stayed motionless in her bowed position. The sentence reverberating through her mind and body "An equal and nothing less" "I..I do not know what to say to that" she stuttered out as she returned to a standing position. Looking up at Guardian, Apple Jack shifted her weight uneasily
Guardian smiled warmly at Apple Jack "Now that we have established that I must know how can I repay my debt to you" Guardian asked. She thought for a minute "Apple bucking season is coming up in about three weeks, me and Big Macintosh sure would enjoy more help"
Before Apple Jack could finish her sentence "Done. I will be at your service for this Apple bucking season and the following year as well. As an addendum all the help you see fit to enter your land shall be at your disposal." Apple Jack smiled a smile that could have warmed the heart of the coldest Windigo on the planet. Guardian thought he saw the slightest hint of a tear running down her cheek but was quickly hidden by the radiance of a beaming Apple Jack After Apple Jack had left Guardian munched on a delicious treat she had left for him when Luna appeared silently at the doorway. "Hello Guardian" With a mouthful he returned her greeting. Crumbs fell out his mouth as he spoke. Slightly appalled at Guardians greeting Luna entered the room with a halfhearted smile. "How has thy recovery come?" Luna asked Guardian knowing the answer already. "Rather well, but dreadfully slow” he responded after swallowing his last bite. Wiping his mouth with his hoof he looked out the window at the clouds outside "Feeling cooped up though. I need to fly" "A splendid idea!" Luna exclaimed "I shall join you" Guardian turned from the window looking at Luna with a disheartened look as he lifted his injured wing with a slight wince Luna glanced at him then his wing and with a bright light and sharp crack that resounded throughout the building his wing was mended Guardian looked at his wing where the spell had hit. The pain of the wound had dispersed. Slowly he extended his wing outward the bandages falling to the floor.
Guardian gaped in awe at his wing then at Luna. With much excitement he picked her up and gave her a tight hug of appreciation Luna blushed as she relished this show of emotion from him.
As Guardian left the room Luna looked back to the gift Apple Jack had left for Guardian she quickly looked around to make sure no one was near as she tossed the basket into the garbage. She turned and trotted out of the room smirking Guardian covered his eyes from the blinding midafternoon sun. Being cooped inside for two weeks really made his eyes hurt to adjust to natural light. Taking in a deep breath of sweet fresh clean air invigorated Guardian his feathers puffing out as he stretched out his wings as he prepared himself to fly. Looking back to Luna he asked "Where we will be flying too?" Luna pawed at the dirt as she thought "Anywhere is fine with me" Guardian nodded "How about a race then? Top of the mountain." he pointed to the furthest and tallest mountain. Luna cocked her head to one side "What do I win?" Guardian readied himself "Anything. If you win" Whoosh! Luna took off like a rocket with Guardian hot on her trail.
Rainbow Dash was lounging on her favorite cloud snoozing the afternoon away when suddenly a black then a grey streak flashed by her. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT" she yelled steadying herself on the cloud flustered by the sudden movement. Whatever it was it was fast. But not as fast as I she thought. Like a bullet she was off chasing after whatever passed her by.
Faster and faster she flew trying to catch up. The wind whipping through her coat like wind over a grassy field, her tail streaking the sky in the bright colors of the rainbow as it whipped to and fro "There it is!" She thought as she saw a black figure in the distance. Closing in on her prey closer and closer she could make out the shape of a sleek alicorn flying with all her might. Rainbow dash suddenly realized who she was chasing "P..p..Princess Luna?" Rainbow uttered the words lost to the wind. Flying next to Luna Rainbow Dash startling her "What are you doing?" Rainbow yelled to Luna with wide eyes of disbelief that there was another pony in the sky with her. With a simple gesture Luna pointed to Guardian as she turned back to flying. trying to catch the powerhouse in front of her Fwoosh Rainbow Dash took off leaving Luna behind Rainbow Dash muttered to herself "If the princess is chasing this pony I won’t let him get away" Rainbow was pushing herself to the limit of her abilities trying to catch up. Flapping harder and harder the air started to feel like small knifes nicking her skin through her coat her wings feeling as if they were coated in molasses. She knew she was on the verge of yet another sonic rain boom. She strained every muscle in her body they screamed with pain as she pushed passed the barrier then the boom. She was gaining on him now and fast as she realized too fast! Rainbow tried everything in her power to slow herself. No good she blew right pass him "This could work" she thought as a new plan rolled through her head. Rainbow dash positioned herself in front of Guardian Guardian looked to this cyan colored pony as she blew pass him then put herself in his direction of travel. Effortlessly he maneuvered around the obstacle looking back the other Pegasus he snorted with confidence as he turned back to continue his race with Luna it hit him. Rainbow's sonic boom blasted Guardian.
Guardian opened his eyes to a violent blur of colors accompanied with a high pitched ringing. Light blue, yellow, green, light blue, yellow, green, light blue, yellow, green. The colors began to flash faster and faster then began merging into one multicolored streak. Blinking and shaking his head Guardian tried and tried to make sense of his vision when the ringing stopped and a stark realization hit him.
Those blurs of color where the sun sky and ground and he was hurtling out of control. Out stretching his wings they struggled to find anything to control this violent tumbling to almost no avail. He glanced around trying to make out any detail to this madness the only thing he could see was two rings of black closing around him.
Clenching his teeth Guardian fought the encroaching darkness with all his might. Calming his mind and feeling the direction of the tumble. Finally a sense of direction and it was not a very good direction. Wings flapping this way then that way Guardian began to correct his tumbling. Opening his eyes once more the jumble of colors had slowed and details began to emerge. The ground was approaching fast, with a few more corrections his tumble would be corrected but too late to avoid hitting the ground at this speed.
Two cyan hoofs grabbed Guardian the ground was growing closer still. He looked up to owner of the hoofs realizing it was the cyan Pegasus from earlier. Flapping her wings with great strain Rainbow Dash struggled with the immense weight of this stranger
Opening one eye all she could see was trees and mountains everywhere and those trees where growing fast. Flapping harder and harder to slow herself and this other Pegasus the princess was chasing.
“C’mon how can this fella be so heavy for a Pegasus” she said to herself in a strained tone.
Guardian looked back to the ground and opened both wings fully. Air screamed through his feathers, with streams of vapor trailing off feathers that weren’t ripped off from the maelstrom of air. The cyan Pegasus grunted as she slammed into Guardians body as he helped slow their decent of certain doom. The wind whipping at his eyes Guardian struggled to find a suitable place for impact. Finally his eyes caught a glimpse of something. He strained to look through the tops of the trees that were now less than a hundred feet away. A cottage in the clearing past the trees. Guardian yelled to the other Pegasus “Hold on and don’t let go!”
Rainbow Dash opened her eyes as he said this “What are you..”
Guardian flipped around in Rainbow’s grasp and engulfed her with his body and wings. She glanced into his eyes and he into hers. The moment seemed to last for ages. The only thing Rainbow Dash could read in his eyes was that he was determined to survive this.
An ear shattering crash emanated from the cottage as the roof of dry and rotting hay exploded in a plume of destruction.
Luna raced to the site where she had last seen both Guardian and Rainbow Dash. The cottage was absolutely decimated. The roof had caved in and one wall of the old structure had fallen from the impact. Landing Luna called out “Guardian, Rainbow Dash!” Her eyes darted around for the faintest sign of life. Looking through a broken window all she could see where splintered support beams and hay.
Running to the side of the cottage that had collapsed Luna gingerly waded through the chest deep hay and debris. “Guardian, Guardian Hammers!” her words echoed in the silent ruins of the cottage before escaping to the forest outside.
Tears welled in her eyes at the thought passing in her mind “No, I refuse to accept that” She muttered as she shook her head.
Wading into the debris further mounds of hay began to lift from the floor of the cottage and where dumped outside as Luna used her magic to search through the wreckage.
Thirty minutes passed as Luna methodically lifted debris and deposited it on what used to be the lawn. Finally she spotted a vibrant multi-colored tail. With renewed vigor she worked to remove the hay that covered Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow” the word was so distant “Dash” again so distant. Who was calling out from the darkness she thought “Rainbow Dash” louder and clearer. Eyes’ snapping open Rainbow Dash was greeted with bright light and a dark figure. She blinked and rubbed her eyes as Princess Luna came into focus.
“Oh my head” croaked out of Rainbow as Luna helped her find her footing. Luna glanced at the nasty gash running from the back of her head and down her neck “It may be the best if you were to keep movement to a as needed basis” Rainbow looked at Luna puzzled “Why what’s” her voice trailed off as she felt a warm sensation run down one of her front legs. Looking down at the streak of dark crimson matting her cyan hair “Oh” was all she could muster. The sight of blood had always been an issue with her.
Luna turned her attention back to finding Guardian. Debris began to float out of the cottage again.
“I can fight this, it’s just a little bit of blood nothing to worry about” Rainbow coerced herself as she fought the queasy feeling welling in her stomach “Yeah no problem what so ever I got this” Rainbow Dash looked back to Luna as she was busy searching the debris and poof Luna disappeared under the hay. Shambling over to where Luna was “Princess Luna! Are you ok?” a momentary silence and a voice wound its way up through the hay. “I am fine, I fell to the cellar.” Rainbow moved some hay clearing a small patch of the hole. Glancing down she saw Luna illuminating the dark of the cellar she was staring at something. Clearing more hay Rainbow Dash saw what Luna was staring at.
In the center of the muddy cellar was a grey Pegasus covered by debris, wings outstretched and the body contorted in a sickening manner. Rainbow looked away as her stomach heaved.
Luna approached the crumbled Guardian. With precise skill she tenderly removed the matter that covered him with her magic.
Luna had to look away from the gruesome sight that lay before her. Both wings where shattered. One wing with a compounded fracture Deep gashes and abrasions steadily wept life out of Guardian.
“No..No..No..No” Luna began to sob “This can’t be happening, not now” sobbing began to give way to hysteria.
Returning to the horror below Rainbow Dash watched as Luna paced sobbing and crying incoherently.
“Luna!” Rainbow yelled to the dark blue alicorn. She looked up to Rainbow Dash with eyes that said all too clear that she had absolutely no idea of what to do. Rainbow Dash thought for a moment “If there is a cellar there has to be a cellar door” Her eyes’ darted about the damp dirty cellar stopping at the stairs landing that lead up to what she sought. “Luna I’m going to need your help getting the cellar doors open” She called down
Luna glanced over to the direction Rainbow Dash was pointing her hoof and nodded solemnly
Clearing a few pieces of wood and other various parts rainbow grabbed the rope handle to the cellar with her teeth she yelled to Luna "Helf me lif the door" and began to tug open the cellar door. Straining against the weight of the doors and rusty hinges that hadn't been opened in who knows how long. Grunting Rainbow Dash fought back the pain shooting through her neck and pounding head. With a crack and moan the door began to lift from its resting place. Tugging at the rope handle with her whole body Rainbow tried to budge the door open even more. With a snap and a slap across the muzzle the rope broke.
Rubbing the stinging pain away Rainbow looked for anything that she could use to pry the door open. Spotting a long beam of wood she glanced back to the gap in the door. "It will have to work" she thought.
Dragging the beam with quickly diminishing strength to the partially opened door Rainbow strained to pick up the wood and fit it into the gap.
"If I remember right this is how Daring Do did this" Rainbow muttered. Walking to the other end of the beam she lifted it and slid it further into the gap of the door turning the other cellar door into a fulcrum
Looking over her work once more Rainbow Dash leaped and took skyward.
Luna was puzzled looking at this beam of wood stuck in the opening "I dont see thy reasoning for purposely blocking"
The door exploded open ripping off its hinges as it landed a few feet away.
Rainbow Dash peered over the other cellar door and gave Luna a weak smile "Got it" was all she could say before she collapsed from exhaustion.
Luna shook off the amazement she was in. Turning back to Guardian Luna slowly walked back to where he lay. "I promise you that I shall save you" she gently nuzzled Guardian's cheek. Climbing out of the cellar Luna looked down to Rainbow Dash her face crossed with many emotions. "thank you Rainbow Dash" anger and sorrow flushed through Luna as she turned and with a flash of magic she teleported for help.
Celestia was quietly reading through petitions and reports on dragon migration as a flash of light and a sharp crack of magic revealed a distraught Luna "My dear sister what is wrong?"
Luna wide eyed and panting "Guardian. Hammers" she said between breathes "Hurt bad" Celestia immediately jumped to action "tell me everything on the way" as she trotted to summon the royal guards.
Rainbow Dash's eyes slowly lifted " I feel so warm and at ease" she thought to herself "I don't want to move" her eyes began to close as two armored hooves landed in front of her then four then six. Rainbow dash fought to keep her eyes open as her mind was filled by a familiar voice "sleep now" was all she remembered before the she relaxed and drifted back into her dreams.
Her body jumped as Rainbow startled herself awake. "What a dream that was" the world began to flood back into sight.
But this wasn't the world she remembered at all. She rested on a small bed and a sheet surrounded her for a make shift room. The ceiling was lavishly decorated and matched to the royal colors "This isn't my house, this is Canterlot!" the curtain began to shuffle as five familiar ponies entered
Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Flutter Shy and Apple Jack entered
Twilight spoke first "Rainbow I'm so glad you’re ok" Rarity chimed in "Darling we were so worried about you. How did you even end up in such a deplorable situation?"
Rainbow relished the attention but winced at Rarity's question "Well it’s a long story" she stated. A few hours passed as Rainbow told her account of what had happened embellishing on parts and over exaggerating others. "Then I woke up here" she finished
Twilight paced going over every little detail in her head
Flutter shy quietly spoke "I sure hope that Mr. Pegasus is alright. Along with Princess Luna"
They all nodded in agreement
"Ya know that fella you talked about Dashie sounds an awful lot like that fella that I found all burnt and beat up by Pinkie's parents’ house" said Apple Jack
"I agree Aj but it doesn't make sense because when Spike and I dropped by the hospital in ponyville he was still mostly bedridden from his injuries" Twilight said as she pulled a book from her satchel and opened it skimming through it for about the one thousandth time.
“Well I don't know who he is but all I know is that Luna and I caught him" Rainbow dash beamed
The curtain flung open as Luna entered hastily. Flutter shy squeaked and hid behind Apple Jack
Everyone looked at Luna as she strode to the end of Rainbow's bed her face looked as if she was in a very sour mood. Quickly composing herself before she spoke.
"Pardon thy entrance everyone but I shan't waste time with pleasantries." she gave a halfhearted smile to her friends and continued "Twilight Sparkle hast thou accomplished ones research?" Twilight pulled her nose from Princess Luna's book and met her gaze "I've read this book cover to cover and cross referenced the section you referred me to but I cannot find anything on this lineage of the called the Slayers"
Luna nodded "Yes and for good reasoning. The Pegasus everyone here has seen and dealt with is of pure blood from that noble lineage. His name is Guardian Hammers protector of the gatherers. His lineage was burdened with the task of protecting the three who gathered all the races of ponies under one banner before the chaotic reign of Discord"
Twilights ears perked at this new information "how did you know of this?"
Luna paused momentarily "We as in Celestial and I where there at the formation of the first order of the pony nations”
Night had fallen over Equestria clouds hung low throughout the land bathing everything in an ominous mist. Not a creature stirred even the wind itself dared not rustle a single leaf in the stagnant silence.
The citizens of Ponyville had retreated to their homes hours earlier. Closing their doors and locking them, drawing their shutters closed. The town looked almost abandoned at this the 2 o'clock hour.
A deep rumbling echoed through the mountains behind the small town. Deep powerful almost other worldly. The trees trembled, rocks broke free from their resting place that they had become accustomed to for millennia.
A flash of brilliant light illuminated the cloudy night behind the engulfed mountains as another rumble wound its way through the mist.
Apple Jack rubbed her eyes sleepily as she walked to her bedroom window "What in the hay is going on out there" turning away from the blinding flashes that where sporadically appearing from the mist.
"I don't remember Rainbow Dash saying they had a lightning storm scheduled for tonight" another flash.
Her eyes adjusting to the again black night Apple Jack spotted a faint glow in the sky.
The faint glow began grow into a orange ball.
Apple Jack watched with curiosity at this strange phenomenon that was unfolding before her.
"whoosh" the orange ball streaked over sweet apple acres and then the Apple farm house.
Apple jack ducked under her window for fear that the hurtling meteorite like ball might strike the farm house. A few seconds passed when the house shook from what seemed like a sonic boom. Apple Jack jumped to her feet "Oh that Rainbow Dash has gone too far this time!" Apple Jack ran out the back door in an attempt to chase down Rainbow Dash.
Apple Jack ran through row after row of apple trees in the direction that she thought Rainbow Dash was flying. Nearing the property line Apple Jack paused momentarily to catch her breath. In the far distance she saw the familiar orange glow. Adjusting her hat she was off running again.
After what seemed a few miles of running Apple jack looked back to see that the orchard was a black spec in the we hours of the morning. Glancing around she saw a structure "Shoot I'm nearly out by Pinkie Pies parents rock farm" turning her attention back to finding where rainbow dash had gotten off to apple jack ran toward to the glow that seemed to emanate from behind the hill.
"Something jus aint right here" she said to herself as she crested the hill "Why would Rainbow Dash be clear out in tha middle o’ nowhere at this time a night?"
A solitary tree came into sight. This tree was the source of the orange glow Apple Jack had been following. The tree was engulfed in a violent fire that roared, snapped and popped as is consumed its fuel.
"Holy smokes" is all she could say at the sight her gaze slowly lowering to the base of the tree.
A stark realization hit Apple Jack as she noticed there was somebody lying at the base of the tree.
Running ahead without even thinking Apple Jack raced to save whomever it was from the raging inferno just above them.
Nearing the other pony Apple Jack slowed to a trot as details began to emerge from the environment around her. Where she was walking was a massive scar in the ground starting off shallow the progressively getting deeper and ending where the other pony was lying. It was an impact zone she recalled when Granny told her about falling stars and the devastation they could cause should they happen to land in an orchard.
"Ra.. Rainbow?" she squeaked out "Is that you?" the pony laid motionless as Apple Jack neared. "You ain't Rainbow Dash" She said to no one. “You’re in a real pickle here stranger" seeing the grievous wounds the pony was covered in ranging from deep gashes to severe burns.
Glancing around Apple Jack pawed the dirt nervously as she thought about what to do to help. Finally with her mind made up she began to drag the unconscious away from the tree
"I hate to do this mister but I'll be back shortly with more help"
With that Apple Jack bolted towards home for more help.
Quietly entering the farm house Apple Jack instantly went for the one pony she could always count on for help “Big Mac, Wake up” Apple Jack cooed into her sleeping brother’s ear. A snore that could have made a dragon proud drowned out her attempts to wake him. Flustered she shook Big Macintosh “WAKE UP MAC” she quietly yelled trying not to wake Apple Bloom who was sleeping across the hallway.
Lazily one eye opened then two as Big Mac saw the urgency on his younger sisters’ face.
Apple Jack flashed him a quick smile “Sorry Mac, but there is a fella out by the Pie’s estate who is in dire need of some medical help. Could you grab the gals for me while I go tend to him?”
A simple “Yeup” came from Big Macintosh as he drew back his covers and put on his yoke. Apple Jack gave him a quick nuzzle of appreciation as she went down stairs to gather items she would need.
As she slid the last item into her satchel Apple Jack turned around meeting Granny. Startled Apple Jack backed up into a counter top “Granny you startled the pony feathers right outta me” Granny looked her up and down “Where’s the trouble” was all she said
Apple Jack sighed in all her years that Granny had, she always knew what was going on in the house and could almost read their minds. “There is a fella hurt out by the Pie’s estate. I have Big Mac going to get the gals gathered up so we can get this poor soul to a real doctor”
Granny smiled “Your always honest Apple Jack to a flaw. Now don’t be to long I'll have breakfast ready by the first crow of the rooster” Apple Jack gave Granny a hug “You’re the best Granny” and headed out the door.
