Prologue
Somewhere in a dark cave in Equestria, who knows where, there was a creature chained up to a wall with very thick chains. The room was so dark, you could barely make out its shape or color. It was trying to break out of the chains for a very long time.
"How long..." a creepy male voice came from the creature. "How long has it been since my master put me in exile here? How long has it been since I've been placed in here by my master for not obeying his specific instruction?" The creature then opened its glowing eyes, revealing them to be black dagger shaped pupils, white irises and blue scleras. "I wish to redeem myself to Grogar, and complete my mission that he had assigned to me."

Somewhere in a park in Orlando, Florida, Aaron Blazer was playing basketball with his two classmates, Paul and Kyle, with some other students from their basketball team. Aaron was in his human form of course.
"Alright, Aaron," Paul said. "Keep it up."
"Gotta keep in shape for Freshmen Basketball in High School," Kyle said.
"You know it," Aaron said. He then shot the ball into the hoop. He then looked around and asked, "Hey, has anyone seen Smolder around?"
"She said something about trying skateboarding," Paul responded.
Aaron's Apple Watch then beeped. He checked it and saw he got a text from his Aunt Marissa. It read: "You and Smolder come on home. Liam and I need to talk to you two about something."
Aaron then looked over at his friends and said, "I gotta get going." Aaron then transformed into his dragon form, grabbed his bag and flew off towards the skate park area of the park just as the song was about to reach the chorus.
Smolder was skateboarding in a skate park with a bunch of kids watching her. She was in her dragon form. She was also wearing a purple bike helmet, and black shoulder and knee pads. She was a natural skateboarder. She came up to an edge of the bowl she was in and did a perfect backside 180 in front of the kids that were watching her. She then went down to the center of the bowl and did a kickflip.
Aaron came flying in seeing how good she was on the skateboard she was on. He then said, "Wow. She's good." He then came down and landed on the ramp. "Hey, Smolder!" That caught Smolder's attention.
"What is it?" Smolder asked.
"We gotta get home," Aaron said. "My aunt wants to talk to us."
"On it," Smolder said. She then went back towards where the kids were watching and got out of the bowl. She then removed the helmet, shoulder and knee pads, and she gave those and the skateboard back to a girl that she borrowed them from. "Thanks for letting me borrow these. Safety first." She then started flying off and she and Aaron started heading back to their home.
"Why were you wearing a helmet and pads?" Aaron asked. "Your scales are like armor."
"Meh, I was setting a good example to those kids watching," Smolder said. "No need to give crap to me."
Aaron looked towards Smolder and asked, "When did you start swearing?"
"Hey, we're not in Equestria currently," Smolder said. "It's only when we're there that true swear words aren't said."
"Okay, that actually makes sense," Aaron said.
Aaron and Smolder continued flying over the neighborhood of there they were living. Eventually, they came to the house that they were living. In the driveway of Aaron's part of the house was Marissa's Ford Expedition and a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500. Aaron and Smolder then landed in front of the front door area just as the song was starting to fade. Aaron and Smolder then walked into the house.
"Aunt Marissa! We're home!" Aaron called out.
Marissa and Liam came downstairs. Marissa smiled at that, saying, "Hey, kids. Glad you could make it home."
"What is it you wanted to talk to us about?" Aaron asked.
"Yeah, Aaron and I were having some summer fun in the park with some of our friends from school," Smolder said.
"I know, but we've got some news," Liam said. "My parents in Salt Lake City are wanting to meet Marissa, and they got us a hotel reserved for us. But, the only problem is that that hotel has a no minor residency."
"No minor residency?" Smolder asked. "What is that?"
"It means that no one under the age of 18 is allowed into the hotel," Aaron said.
"Yeah, I've been trying to tell them to find another hotel, but no other hotels in the have no vacancy within 50 miles," Liam said.
"Which means you two are gonna have to choose to either spend the week either in DC with your grandparents, or in New York," Marissa said.
"Being in big cities where crimes happen a lot," Aaron added. "Although, if we go to DC, we could have protection from the President's secret service."
"Or, we could have a third option," Smolder said.
"Oh, yeah?" Marissa asked. "What's that?"
"We could go spend the week in Equestria," Smolder said. "Besides, there are a lot of places there that Aaron hasn't been yet."
Marissa and Liam looked at each other in realization. Marissa then said, "Actually, since there's no villains around in Equestria, I guess that can work."
"Of course, they would have to have some place to sleep," Liam added. He then thought of something. "Like camping in tents."
"Camping," Smolder said. "Not a bad idea. Although, maybe we can get our friends in on this."
"Get in on what?" came another voice, along with the sound of a door opening. Aaron, Smolder, Marissa and Liam looked towards the door and saw Gallus, Sandbar, Yona, Silverstream and Ocellus coming in. Gallus then asked, "Missed us, guys?"
"Hey, Gallus," Aaron said, him and Gallus doing a handshake together. "How've you been doing?"
"Good," Gallus said. "So, you're wanting to see the rest of Equestria?"
"Better to see it in person than on a screen," Aaron said.
"If you're gonna camp in Equestria, you're gonna need some camping gear," Marissa said. "For all of you." She then looked at Gallus, Sandbar, Ocellus, Yona and Silverstream. "You're all gonna need to get your medallions, because we're going shopping for camping supplies."
"We'll take both our vehicles," Liam said. "Boys with me, girls with you." Marissa nodded.
Later, they all went to a Bass Pro Shop to pick up some camping supplies. They gathered up four tents, sleeping bags, a huge cooler, special mats to lay under the sleeping bags, a small barbecue, six pack of propane tanks for the small barbecue, and a solar generator. Aaron and the Young 6 were all in human form.
"Wow, this is a lot of stuff," Gallus said.
"I know," Marissa said. "Next, we'll go to a Smart&Final to get food for all of you. Although, if it's food that not all of you can eat, you're gonna have to get it yourselves back in Equestria."
"Good to know, Miss Blazer," Ocellus said.
"What's a Smart&Final?" Silverstream asked.
"A grocery store that sells a lot of food," Aaron said. "Sometimes, on mass products."
"Which might be useful for camping," Sandbar said. "Let's get going."
The next day, Marissa and Liam were getting ready to leave. Aaron and the Young 6 were ready to go to Equestria, their camping gear and Aaron's tech packed up. It was 4:30 in the afternoon. Aaron was the only one in human form.
"Alright, kids," Marissa said. "We're on our way out. Remember, I'm only a phone call away."
"Okay, Aunt Marissa," Aaron said.
Marissa then kissed Aaron on the right side of his head and said, "I'm gonna miss you. Stay safe." Then Marissa and Liam started heading for the door. "Remember, I'm only a phone call away." Then she and Liam went out the door. Marissa then locked the door.
"Alright, guys," Aaron said. "Let's put the stuff into the carts, then we'll head on over to Equestria."
Then they all put the camping supplies into a folding cart. They started with the tents, then the sleeping mats, then sleeping bags. Aaron then started pulling the cart towards Smolder's part of the house, but he was struggling.
"It might be better if you were in your other form, jade dragon," Smolder said, smirking. Aaron smiled embarrassingly, then he transformed back into his dragon form.
"Alright, let's do a final check," Ocellus said, looking at a checklist. "Tents."
"Check," Sandbar said.
"Sleeping bags and mats," Ocellus said after checking a box.
"Check," Yona said.
"Food."
"Check," Silverstream said.
"Blankets and pillows."
"Check," Gallus said.
"And last but not least, tech."
"Got it," Aaron said, putting his computer bag into its satchel mode.
"Okay, let's go," Ocellus said. Then the seven of them headed towards the portal. What they didn't realize was that the portal was acting strange. The portal to Equestria usually glows with a magenta swirl when they go through. But this time, the swirl was ice blue.
Aaron and the Young 6 then went into the portal, taking the stuff they were bringing with them. Aaron was pulling the cart and carrying his tech. Gallus was carrying the generator to power Aaron's tech. Silverstream was carrying the icebox full of cold food. And Smolder was carrying bags full of non-refrigerated food. Sandbar, Yona and Ocellus weren't carrying anything when they were all going through the portal.
The Young 6 came out of the portal, but the other end of the portal wasn't in the Treehouse of Harmony. It was in front of a tree that had grown through castle ruins.

When they got out of the portal, they looked around in confusion.
"This isn't the clubhouse," Ocellus said. "Where are we?" Then five of the Young 6 looked towards Aaron and Smolder.
"Don't ask us," Smolder said.
"Yeah, we don't have a clue," Aaron said. He then turned around to face the portal that brought them there. He then saw that the portal vanished. "Shoot!"
"Oh, great," Smolder said. "The portal's gone. Let's call Marissa and..." Smolder then pulled her phone out of Aaron's computer bag and looked at it. She then noticed that her phone wasn't getting any reception. "Uh... Aaron. I'm not getting a signal."
Aaron then checked his phone and saw that he didn't have any reception either. He then said, "Mine either." He then sighed. "Great. That's just great. We're... gonna have to head to Canterlot to talk to Twilight about this."
"Maybe we should do it tomorrow," Sandbar said. "Look." Sandbar pointed at the sun. "It'll be at least 3 Hours for the sun to go down. Maybe we'll camp here for the night."
"Yona think that good idea," Yona said.
"Alright," Aaron said. "We'll camp here for the night. Tomorrow, we'll repack, and head to Canterlot right after breakfast. Got it?"
"Got it," the Young 6 responded.
Later that night, Aaron and the Young 6 were eating some dinner that they had packed for their first night. They were eating apples, carrot sticks and some baked potatoes. Aaron, Smolder and Gallus also had hamburger patties.
"Well, this might not have started how we were expecting, but this was an interesting start," Aaron said.
"You said it," Gallus said. "So, who gets which tent?"
"Well, we could either split into how we stayed in the dorms of the School of Friendship, me being in the fourth one, or..." Aaron said before being pulled back by Smolder. "Whoa!" Smolder pulled Aaron into one of the tents.
"Well, there's our answer," Gallus answered. "Sorry, Ocellus."
"Right, since I'm single," Ocellus said.
"Wait," Smolder said, looking back towards Ocellus. "You haven't found a boyfriend yet?"
"Or girlfriend, depending on her sexuality," Aaron said, making the others nod in agreement.
"No, not yet," Ocellus said. "With helping the new students studying through school, I haven't found the time to find somecreature." She then sighed. "Maybe I'm not allowed to find someone."
"Don't say that, O," Aaron said, coming up to Ocellus. "I'm sure that somecreature will be happy to be in a relationship with you. Although, I'm not sure what you changelings do for mating seasons."
"Yeah, we've immediately changed that after we reformed," Ocellus said. "Before that..." She then shuttered. "You do not wanna know."
"I'll take your word for it," Aaron said. "Anyway, see you all in the morning." He then headed back into the tent where Smolder was. Then they all headed into the other tents. Gallus and Silverstream got into one tent. Sandbar and Yona went into another. And Ocellus buzzed into the last tent. Then they all closed the tents and went into their sleeping bags.
They went to sleep. But during their slumber, their bodies went through a slight change. Apparently, they were in Equestria, but not of their time. Apparently, they were 200 years in the future. They entered... the next Generation.
