Chapter 13: Destiny Awaits

Aaron, the Young 6, Izzy and Misty returned from Bridlewood in the Marestream. The nine of them headed for the Brighthouse.

"Hey, everypony!" Izzy called out. "We're back!"

Sunny came out of the kitchen with a smile. She then said, "Welcome back, all of you. How was the food fight?"

"Aaron won it this time," Misty said. "But I'll get him back next time."

"Not sure there'll be a next time," Aaron said. "I think in Friday Night Food Fight, I won't attend anymore and go undefeated."

"Smart call," Sandbar said. "I'm still trying to wash all the rotting food out of my mane."

"Yona's hair still messy, too," Yona said.

"You two get to it," Sunny said. "I'm sure the others have gotten cleaned from it all."

"Oh, I got it all off," Smolder said. "These three didn't take part." Smolder held out an arm for Gallus, Silverstream and Ocellus.

"Well, I got to get to work," Sunny said. "You all can come to the Boardtrot whenever you like."

"I'll be here, trying to find the right portal to their time," Misty said. "If I can't find it, then maybe Twilight Sparkle can help when she eventually wakes up."

"Alright," Aaron said. "We'll be heading to the Boardtrot as well." Then Aaron and the Young 6 followed Sunny out the door and they all headed off to the Boardtrot.

At the Boardtrot, the ponies there were all having so much fun. Aaron and the Young 6 were heading towards the edge of the Boardtrot with smoothies they got from Sunny's smoothie stand.

"Nothing like a refreshing drink on a day like this to make you feel good," Sandbar said.

"You said it, Sandbar," Ocellus said.

"I just hope that we get back home soon," Silverstream said. "Being around Maretime Bay here reminds me of home at Mount Aris."

"I'm sure we'll make it back home," Gallus said. "After all, Aaron and Smolder met their future son."

"Sparky," Aaron said. "Although, there is one thing that he's too young to understand."

"And what's that?" Smolder asked.

"When we have to go home and Sparky doesn't want us to leave him," Aaron said.

"Oh, yeah," Smolder said. "He's gonna be heartbroken."

"I'm sure that we'll get him to understand," Gallus said. "He's starting to speak, remember?"

"Well, it's still not gonna be a good feeling for him when we go," Aaron said. He then looked up at the Zippercoaster. "Alright, who wants to clear our minds and go on a ride?"

"Alright, let's go," Smolder said. Then the seven of them started walking towards the Zippercoaster. But then their walking stopped when a new voice came in from below the pier.

"Hello?! Is there somepony up there?!"

Aaron and the Young 6 looked back towards the railing, all with confused looks on their faces. Then they all ran towards the railing, looked over it, and they saw somepony in the water.

"Hi! Can I please get directions to a place called Maretime Bay?!" the pony in the water asked.

"Is that...?" Gallus asked.

"Yona thinks so," Yona replied.

"Um... actually, miss," Aaron said. "You're basically off shore from Maretime Bay."

"I am?!" the pony in the water asked. "Oh, yay! Now I can finally see Izzy again!"

"Wait a minute," Aaron said. "Are you Destiny? The Seapony that Izzy met months ago?"

"That's right!" the pony, now identified as Destiny, said to the group. She then showed her tail. "Can one of you bring her here so I can see her again?"

"I'm on it," Gallus said. He then flew over the Boardtrot, looking out for Izzy. He then spotted Izzy and Pipp at a booth. He then landed.

"Oh, hey, Gallus," Izzy said. "Wazzup?!"

"Hey, Izzy, your Seapony friend has arrived," Gallus said.

"WHAT?!" Izzy asked. "Destiny is here?!"

"Oh, I have got to meet her," Pipp said. She then pulled out some hair braid extensions. "These extensions are so in and I need to know how they're made!"

"Then let's go," Gallus said, picking up Izzy. He carried her over to where Aaron and the others were. Pipp followed flying alongside them. They eventually made it to the rail where the others were.

Izzy looked over the railing and smiled. She then shouted, "Destiny!" She then jumped over the railing and went into the water. Izzy submerged into the water in front of Destiny, then the unicorn popped right back up and hugged Destiny. "Oh, I'm so glad you're here!"

"It's good to see you, too, Izzy!" Destiny said. "I haven't seen you since you first came to the Jade Sea."

"Sorry about that, Destiny," Izzy said. "That burst of Cutie Mark Magic and the Nova Charm opening a portal did it."

"Hey, meet us at the dock!" Pipp said. "It'll be much easier for us to chat." Destiny nodded and pulled Izzy towards the nearest dock.

They came to the dock and Aaron pulled Izzy out of the water. Smolder and Gallus helped pull Destiny out of the water, but she was still in Seapony Form.

"Wow," Destiny said. "This place is amazing! What is this?"

"It's an amusement park that was once abandoned until Izzy here restored it and made it better," Pipp said. "That was the day when she came down with the case of the 'Blockywockys'." That made Destiny giggle at that.

"Blockywockys," Destiny said, still giggling. "Still funny every time I hear that word." She then giggled.

"Destiny, meet some friends of mine," Izzy said. "This is Pipp."

"Hi!" Pipp said. "My customers love these braids you designed! Mind if I get some help on how to make them?"

"Sure," Destiny said. "But, for me to do it, you're gonna have to have a pool of water for me to be in where you're taking me."

"Not necessary," Silverstream added. The group all looked towards her. Silverstream then tapped on her magic seashell and transformed into a Seapony. "I can help with that."

Destiny gasped and asked, "Where did you get that?!"

"This?" Silverstream asked, looking down at her necklace. "This is a magic seashell that was from the magic pearl that my Aunt, Queen Novo, has been keeping a hold of for a long time."

"Queen Novo?" Destiny asked. "Wait. What's your name?"

"I'm Silverstream," Silverstream replied.

Destiny gasped and said, "You're my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great aunt!"

"Wait, you're Terramar's descendant?" Aaron asked. Destiny nodded excitedly. "Silverstream, make her a land creature."

"On it!" Silverstream said, grabbing Destiny's hoof with her right hoof. Then she tapped on her magic seashell and both of them became Hippogriffs.

"Whoa!" Destiny said, falling over. She then tried getting back up, but she kept falling over. "Oof! Ow."

"First time as a land creature?" Gallus asked.

"Yeah," Destiny replied. "I lived in the water my whole life." She then tripped. "Whoa-oa! Oof! I'm... gonna need some help."

"I got you," Silverstream said. "Just do what I do. Right claw, left hoof. Left claw, right hoof." Destiny then tried walking like how Silverstream described. She was having trouble with her balance, but she was starting to adjust.

"Do any of the other Seaponies know you're here?" Aaron asked.

"I did tell them I was going to visit my unicorn friend, but they thought that Izzy was a new imaginary friend," Destiny said. "Do you believe that?"

"It must've been a long time since you all had to go back underwater," Aaron said. "First the Storm King, then it was Opaline."

"The what king?" Destiny asked.

"You don't know about the Storm King?!" Silverstream asked. "He's the monster that tried coming after our magic pearl a long time ago! How do you not know about him?!"

"Probably because he's been dead for centuries now," Ocellus said.

"Right, it's been two hundred years since then," Gallus said. "So, Destiny, what else have you known about us?"

"Not all that much," Destiny replied. "Sorry."

"I'm sure you'll know more about them someday," Pipp said. "I'm confident about it."

"Really?" Destiny asked. "Are you sure about that?"

"Oh, Destiny," Pipp said. "You don't know much about me. I'm a stylish pop star princess. My voice makes me strong. When my cutie mark comes to life, confidence is my song!"

"Oooh!" Destiny said. "Now that's confidence!"

"Another Hippogriff?!" came Misty's voice. They all looked towards Misty's voice and saw her coming up to the group. "Wow. I thought Silverstream was the only Hippogriff around here."

"Misty!" Izzy said. "This is Destiny! She's the Seapony I met when I was on a quest for a cure for the Blockywockys!" That made Destiny giggle.

"Wait, she's the Seapony?!" Misty asked. "But why is..." She then looked at Silverstream. "Oh, never mind. Silverstream's necklace."

"That's right," Silverstream said. "Although, she's still having trouble walking."

"Oh, she's never walked on land for a long time?" Misty asked.

"More like at all," Aaron said. "She's lived in the water her whole life."

"It's actually a shame that I'll never experience walking like this once I go back home," Destiny said.

Misty put a hoof to her chin and said, "Maybe you don't have to." Aaron, the Young 6, Pipp, Izzy and Destiny looked at her with raised eyebrows. "I did find a spell that can copy the enchantment in Silverstream's seashell into another. Perhaps I can make it happen."

Silverstream gasped and said, "We're gonna need a shell! TO THE BEACH!" She then flew towards the Boardtrot exit.

"Hey, Silverstream!" Gallus said. "Wait for us!" Then Aaron and the rest of the Young 6 started following Silverstream. Pipp and Izzy were trying to keep Destiny from falling over when she was running. Misty followed as well.

At the beach, Aaron, the Young 6, Izzy, Pipp, Misty and Destiny were trying to find a shell that was similar to Silverstream's necklace.

"There's gotta be one around here somewhere," Silverstream said.

"Wow," Izzy said. "She must really like shells."

"Not as much as her cousin Skystar," Aaron said. "She has two clam shells she decorated and named them Shelly and Sheldon. Which are almost practically the same name."

"Ah-hah!" Silverstream called out. She then pulled out a shell from the sand. "I found one!"

"Way to go, Silverstream!" Gallus said.

"Impressive," Smolder said.

"I just love helping out!" Silverstream said. "Especially if it's family!" Destiny smiled at that. Just then, Silverstream started floating up and a light came out of her. "Ooh! Looks like it's my turn!" She squealed in delight as the light was heading towards her right flank. Then an image of a turquoise clam shell that was teal on the inside, along with a white pearl appeared on Silverstream's right flank. "Look! I got a Cutie Mark!"

"Nice," Gallus said. "Okay, that's Sandbar, Me, Ocellus and now Silverstream. The only ones left in our group that haven't gotten Cutie Marks are Yona, Smolder and Aaron."

"Which is gonna be hard to explain to everyone back in our time," Smolder said. "And Aaron's Aunt."

"If you all stick around when it happens, I'm sure that Mom will allow you all to attend this years Cutie Blossom Bash," Pipp said.

"Cutie Blossom Bash?" Sandbar asked. "What's that?"

"It's to celebrate all the ponies who have earned their Cutie Marks that year," Misty said. "Of course, I was too shy to go out in public in front of a lot of ponies. Plus, I was the oldest one there who earned their Cutie Mark."

"So, it's basically a cute-ceañera," Aaron said.

"What's a cute-ceañera?" Izzy asked.

"In no more than a week, a pony who earn's their Cutie Mark gets a party dedicated to them for earning their Cutie Mark," Sandbar said. "The guest of honor gets to invite whoever they want to come."

"Huh," Pipp said. "Guess at one point, they just stopped the hassle of it and just wanted to celebrate all the ponies who earned their Cutie Marks that year into one."

"Kinda wish I had just that on my celebration," Misty said.

Back at the Brighthouse, in Izzy's crafting corner, Izzy and Misty were there making the seashell necklace for Destiny. Silverstream was on the other side so the two unicorns could see how to make the necklace similar to hers.

"Okay, got it," Izzy said.

"Now to copy the enchantment," Misty said, searching through the spell book. "Aw, here it is." She then lit up her horn and a small light went into Silverstream's necklace. Then a light came out of Silverstream's necklace and it split into two. Then they went into both necklaces. "And... done."

Izzy carried the newly made seashell necklace towards Destiny and she put it around the new Hippogriff's neck. She then said, "Okay, Destiny. Try it out."

"Destiny might want to sit down first," Yona said.

"Good call," Destiny said, sitting down on her haunches. She then tapped the necklace and then she transformed back into her Seapony form. "Whoa!" She fell on her back. She then giggled. "That was fun!"

"Are you okay?" Izzy asked.

"I'm fine!" Destiny said. She then tapped the necklace again and transformed back into a Hippogriff. "I hope none of you mind me staying the night here."

"We'll talk with Sunny into letting you stay here," Pipp said. "I'm sure she'll be interested with meeting a Seapony turned Hippogriff."

"C'mon," Izzy said. "I'll show you where you can sleep." Then Izzy led Destiny upstairs.

"This place is getting more and more crowded," Misty said.

"Just be careful at night, Destiny," Smolder said. "Izzy's a snorer and she can levitate things in her sleep. Including herself."

"Is that true?" Aaron asked.

"You should've seen what happened when I officially moved in," Misty said.

"I'll take your word for it," Aaron said.

That's right, folks. I brought Destiny back. Although, I kinda wish we had seen more of her before Hasbro kicked the can on G5. But at least we got to see her again.
