Chapter 18: The Young 6 VS Crunch

There was a barrier surrounding Canterlot Castle with a bunch of guards standing guard on the inside. On a nearby rooftop outside of the barrier, the Young 6 were preparing for battle. Gallus had on armor from his training days.

"I can't believe you put on your training armor for this," Smolder said.

"Hey, it's for extra protection," Gallus said. "Plus, this armor of mine is custom made."

"And I'm guessing that I'm the only one who could fit into armor that they have at your training camp?" Sandbar asked.

"They do, but we don't have time to get it," Gallus said.

"He's right," Ocellus said. "Here comes the beast." Then the Young 6 saw Crunch coming up to the barrier. Gallus then carried Sandbar, Smolder and Silverstream carried Yona, and all of them went down to the ground getting in the way of Crunch as he was coming towards the castle.

"That's far enough," Smolder said.

Crunch then smirked and said, "You foolish young creatures. Do you honestly believe that you can stop me? I am one of the most powerful creations of Grogar! You're all foolish to think if you can stop me!"

"We may be young," Sandbar said.

"We may be different," Silverstream said.

"But our friendship very strong!" Yona said.

"And we're not gonna let you take us down," Ocellus said.

"Not now, or ever," Gallus said.

"We shall see about that," Crunch said, getting ready to charge. He then charged towards the Young 6, who charged towards him as well.

In Ponyville, at the Castle of Friendship, Aaron, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Starlight, Trixie, Sunburst, the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the New Mane 6 were all in the Throne Room, around the Cutie Map.

"Whoa," Sunny said. "This is amazing! A whole map of Equestria and beyond!"

"Ah hate ta be a stick in the mud, Aaron, but who are these ponies?" Applejack asked.

"They're the main characters of the next Generation of the My Little Pony series," Aaron said. "Sunny Starscout, Hitch Trailblazer, Izzy Moonbow, Pipp Petals and her sister, Zipp Storm, and lastly, Misty Brightdawn."

"So, they're all from the future?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "That... is... AWESOME!!"

"Time travelling from the far future surely sounds interesting," Rarity said. "How is that possible?"

"Magic is changing," Aaron said. "Like what Twilight said in that message she left in the Unity Crystals. Which she probably haven't made yet."

"Yeah, that's true," Zipp said. "I still can't believe we're in Twilight Sparkle's castle in the past."

"Guess it might be a while for that to happen," Rainbow Dash said. She then smirked. "Cool mane by the way. Not as cool as mine though, but still pretty cool."

"Rainbow Dash, she and Pipp are your descendants," Aaron said. "Rarity's as well."

"What?!" Rainbow Dash and Rarity asked in unison.

Rarity then got a good look at the two futuristic pegasi. She then said, "I actually see it." She looked at Zipp. "Zipp has my lovely white coat, and Pipp has my sense of style."

"Aww, thank you," Pipp said.

"Guess we know where Mom got her fancy speak," Zipp whispered, making Pipp quietly giggle.

"I get that Pipp got Rarity's style and Zipp her coat, but what does Pipp inherit from me?" Rainbow Dash asked, looking at Pipp.

"How about your showoff-ness?" Aaron asked. "She's full of pride and loves to get attention."

"Huh, I can live with that," Rainbow Dash said before giving Pipp a noogie.

"Hey! Not my mane!" Pipp said. "I don't need a bad hair day when I'm in the past!"

"Pipp, don't forget, she's your..." Aaron then checked the list of Pipp and Zipp's ancestors. "...great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandma."

"Wow, that's about... ten generations," Sunny said. She then gasped. "The tapestry."

"Oh, yeah, it had to be made around this time," Aaron said.

"What tapestry?" Misty asked.

"Oh, right, Misty wasn't with us when we put it together," Sunny said. "I wonder who will make it and when?"

"Don't know," Aaron said. "It probably hasn't happened yet. But right now, we need to focus on stopping these three villains." Then an illusion of Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow came up over the Cutie Map.

"Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow," Rainbow Dash said.

"The three nasty villains who teamed up after Discord brought them together," Pinkie Pie said.

"Which was clearly a stupid idea from the start," Aaron said. Just then, Discord appeared in a flash, leaning in next to Aaron.

"I wasn't counting on them using that bell against me," Discord said. He then looked at the New Mane 6. "Who are these ponies?"

"He doesn't recognize..." Hitch asked, but then he remembered. "Oh. Right. Time travel. We haven't been born yet."

"Anyway, we got the three of the biggest villains in Equestria on their way here to Ponyville," Aaron said. "Two of them are top five."

"Which one of them isn't in the top five?" Starlight asked.

"Cozy Glow, obviously," Aaron said.

"Right, because she's not armed with magic," Pinkie Pie said.

"Personally, Ah think the top five villains things are just in yer head, Aaron," Applejack said. "Who are yer top five villains?"

"Number five, the Dazzlings, also known as the Sirens who are on the other side of the portal to the world where Twilight went to get her crown back from Sunset Shimmer," Aaron said.

"That makes sense," Rarity said. "They were able to control the minds of those around them by singing."

"Chrysalis is number four," Aaron said. "Number three, Sombra."

"That makes sense," Starlight said. "Since he's completely shadow and dark magic."

"Lord Tirek, number 2."

"That makes sense," Sunburst said. "After all, he's a power hungry centaur who wanted to suck up all the magic and use it to try and destroy Equestria."

"Then, who's number one?" Trixie asked. "It cannot be... the Great and Powerful... Trrrrixie!"

"Is she gonna do that a lot?" Sunny asked.

"More than you think," Rarity said. "Well, Aaron, who's your top villain?"

"A certain evil Alicorn that had been removed from history," Aaron said, making the New Mane 6 cringe.

"But Nightmare Moon is reformed," Rainbow Dash said. "How can she..." She then deadpanned. "You were talking about the mysterious Alicorn in the next generation, weren't you?"

"Bingo," Aaron said. "Although, she'll eventually be defeated."

"Right, since we weren't born yet," Sunny said, walking up to the Cutie Map. "But she will be defeated."

"And how do you know?" Trixie asked.

"Because I have done it in the future," Sunny said. She then started glowing. "I am all three pony kinds wrapped up into one. My cutie mark comes to life with hope as bright as the sun!" She transformed into her Alicorn form in front of the current heroes of the present time.

"Whoa!" the ponies of the present time all said in unison.

"Okay, that is awesome," Rainbow Dash said.

"Please tell me she's Twilight's descendant," Starlight said.

"Yep," Aaron said. "Sunny is Twilight's descendant. Only by three generations on her mom's side. And I think Twilight gave birth to only one child."

"That means you know about Nyx?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"I was the one who gave her the idea for that," Aaron said. "Although, my friends and I didn't know about her until we met her in the future. Thanks to the current Dragon Lord of that time. Spike."

"Spikey-Wikey is still alive in that time?!" Rarity asked. "How old do dragons live for?!"

"Don't know," Aaron said. "Shoulda asked Ragnarok."

"Right," Rainbow Dash said. "He lived for centuries under magical hibernation but could be awoken when there's a Jade Dragon in our land. Eventually being was stopped along with your world's military."

"So that's how you became a hero of Equestria," Misty said, looking at Aaron.

"Technically, the general of that division went against the President's orders and was disgracefully fired," Aaron said. "He was told to stand down when he had a nuke aimed at us and I had to throw Ragnarok at it to save everyone there."

"Well, you did it," Rarity said. "You're a hero to every creature in Equestria and about every human on Earth."

"Mostly the Bronies and Pegasisters," Aaron said. "I'm sure the Anti-Brony community has decreased a little when I threw Ragnarok at the Nuke."

"At least your friends stuck with you," Rainbow Dash said. "Where are they anyway?"

"Canterlot, fighting the creature that freed the three villains on their way here," Aaron said.

Back in Canterlot, the Young 6 were still in combat with Crunch as he was trying to get past them then through the barrier that Shining Armor put up.

"I will not let some barrier stop me from reaching my goal!" Crunch said. Then Smolder, Ocellus and Yona jumped on top of him. "And I'm not going to lose to some ignorant young creatures!" He then started moving around like a bucking bronco, trying to shake them off. He only succeeded with Yona and Ocellus while Smolder hung on tight.

"Whoa!" Gallus said. "Smolder, how are you doing that?!"

"I had a little practice with a mechanical bull back on Earth when Aaron, Marissa and I went to the County Fair with Liam!" Smolder said.

"Get off me!" Crunch said, still trying to shake Smolder off his back. He eventually succeeded and Smolder let go. Then Yona rammed Crunch's behind, making him face plant into the ground.

"Did you honestly expect you could actually win against us?" Smolder asked. "We defeated the magic you had stolen for Grogar about two years ago. Face it, you're out of date."

"You're wrong!" Crunch said. "What you don't know is that those from the past have a lot more experience of fighting than those of the present ever would! I am your doom!" He was then surrounded in a crimson aura, sending the Young 6 back.

Sandbar's right hoof then started glowing in a green aura. He then slammed it into the ground and a bunch of vines came out and surrounded Crunch, trapping him.

"Whoa!" Sandbar said. "I can't believe that worked!"

"Guess the training with your new magic from Sunny and Hitch is finally paying off," Gallus said. "I was almost expecting that what we gained in the future would disappear when we got back to the present."

"Guess we're still changing even after we saw what it could become of it," Ocellus said. She then changed into that giant bug thing she transformed into when the Young 6 were playing hooky during Friends and Family day in the first year the School of Friendship opened.

She then charged at Crunch who tried dodging Ocellus, but she was too big for him to dodge. Crunch got sent flying. He tried to land, but Yona charged at Crunch as he was heading towards her. Yona sent Crunch up into the air. Then Gallus and Silverstream came and slammed Crunch into the ground.

Sandbar then used his new magic to wrap the vines around Crunch, tying him up tightly. Then Smolder used her new magic fire to contain Crunch, leaving only his head out of the burning crystal.

"You can't stop me like this!" Crunch said. He then tried breaking out of the vines and crystal, but then the Young 6 came in front of him. "Do you honestly think you can defeat me?!" He then broke out of the Crystal and vines, sending out a force of magic, pushing back the Young 6. "Prepare for your doom!" He then used his magic and shot a beam straight up. Then a space portal opened up above Canterlot.

"Holy cow!" Gallus said. "He tore open a hole in space!"

"And you'll be gone with this whole city!" Crunch said. "Goodbye you foolish young freaks!"

"Not today!" Smolder said. Then the Young 6 started holding hands (or rather talons and hooves). Then their Cutie Marks started glowing. Then they released their magic and it shot right up through the portal. Then a rainbow tornado came down and swallowed up Crunch.

"What?! NO!!!!!" Crunch said. He then got sucked up into the portal, screaming. But then he started turning to stone. No! I cannot be defeated! I must redeem myself to my master! GAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" Eventually, he was fully turned to stone and was heading towards a star that was close to the portal on the other side of it.

The Young 6 looked up at the portal with shocked expressions. Ocellus then said, "Okay. We've taken care of Crunch, but how do we stop that?" Then a pair of magical beams came from the castle and hit the edges of the portal, which started closing. Then the barrier surrounding the castle vanished. Then Twilight came flying to the Young 6 with a proud smile on her face.

"I'm so proud of all of you," Twilight said. "You all defeated a very powerful villain on your own."

"Hey, it was no big deal," Gallus said. "It's not like we can be rewarded for it."

"Oh, we'll get to that once Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow are recaptured," Twilight said. "I hope Aaron will be able to stop them."

"I'm sure he will," Smolder said. "After all, he knows them better than we do."

"Better to have that battle out of Canterlot so Nyx will grow up safely," Gallus said, smirking towards Twilight.

Twilight gave a shocked expression. Then she gave a loving smile. She then waved a hoof indicating for the Young 6 to come close to her. She then lit up her horn for a teleportation spell.

Twilight and the Young 6 then teleported into Twilight's quarters in the Castle. Twilight then led the Young 6 towards a crib in the room. The Young 6 looked into the crib and saw baby Nyx asleep in the crib.

"Wow," Sandbar whispered. "Through the terror and battle, she managed to sleep through it."

"Not exactly," Twilight whispered. She then lit up her horn and something invisible surrounding the crib diminished. "Sound blocking spell."

"That makes sense," Ocellus whispered.

Then baby Nyx squirmed. She then opened her eyes and saw Twilight and the Young 6. She then looked towards Twilight, cooed and reached her forelegs towards Twilight. Twilight then used her magic to pick up Nyx and brought her to her forelegs.

"So that's why you wanted Aaron and Smolder to stay here during the whole Catrina debacle," Gallus said. "You were afraid that Catrina might go after Nyx if she got the information about the portal back here."

"Yes," Twilight said. "Nyx is important to me, and I wanted to do whatever it took to protect her. But I forgot that Aaron has family back on Earth and would want to stay with them. Being hurt emotionally is a bigger issue than being hurt physically. And I'm sorry for that."

"Twilight stressed out during that time," Yona said.

"All first time mothers are stressed out about their young one's safety over the safety of others," Ocellus said. "Like what happened when Sombra came back and went after Flurry Heart."

"Good example," came Shining Armor's voice. They all looked towards the door and saw him, Cadance, Flurry Heart, Spike and Sparky coming in.

Smolder then looked towards Twilight and asked, "So? Who's Nyx's daddy?"

Twilight blushed and said, "Oh, that. Well... I had one guard volunteer for this. He didn't want to disappoint his princess, so..."

"Flash Sentry," the Young 6 said, deadpanned.

"Wow," Twilight said. "You all are good." She then realized something. "You all got that from the show, didn't you?"

"According to Aaron, Flash Sentry didn't make his official debut until Equestria Girls," Gallus said. "You know, the time you went through that portal to get your crown back from Sunset Shimmer."

Twilight groaned annoyingly. She then said, "Aaron, I still can't believe he knew almost everything about me."

"Oh, yeah," Smolder said. "He still doesn't know why you're afraid of quesadillas."

"I AM NOT!!" Twilight said, getting anxious. "They're just so... cheesy." She then sniffed something. She then put her right forehoof to her nose. "Okay, time for Nyx to be changed." She then carried Nyx towards the bathroom.

"I better let Aaron know that Crunch has been defeated," Smolder said, transforming into her human form and pulling out her cell phone. She then started texting.

Back in the Castle of Friendship, Aaron and the others were coming up with a plan to take down Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow. Aaron's phone then received a text. He then checked it.

"Okay, Crunch has been taken down," Aaron said. "Smolder says that he's been turned to stone and sucked into a... space portal and sucked into a star. Oh, that explains the background in the stained glass window in the future."

"Oh, you saw it in their time?" Rarity asked.

"No, in the G4 Series finale," Aaron said. "You'll see what I mean one day during your Counsel of Friendship meeting with a young unicorn mare named Luster Dawn."

"Good to know," Rarity said. "Who's Luster Dawn?"

"Pink unicorn, will eventually be Twilight's protege," Aaron said. "Like when she was Princess Celestia's protege before coming here to Ponyville."

"Makes sense," Pinkie Pie said. "Although she wasn't too keen on friendship. We've seen it on the show you showed us when everypony found out you were human."

"Please tell me Lyra doesn't know I'm here," Aaron said.

"AARON!! PLEASE STAY HERE FOREVER!!" Lyra's voice came from the halls of the castle. Then the doors started opening in a golden aura, but then Applejack and Rainbow Dash pushed back on the door.

"We need ta focus on keepin' 'er away from Aaron," Applejack said, making Rainbow Dash nod.

Rainbow Dash then got an idea. She then said, "Hey, Lyra. Warn the town. There are villains coming."

"WHAT?!" came Lyra's voice. Then the sound of hoofsteps going down the hall came in.

"Well, that was easy," Rainbow Dash said. "Plus, the town will be ready."

On the path that leads to Canterlot, two sets of black hooves, one of them full of hooves, came into view. Then it showed Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis, all still under the influence of Crunch's magic. Then they started walking towards Ponyville.

Author's Note

Okay, it's up to Aaron and the others to take on the Equestrian Legion of Doom. Hopefully Aaron will have it under control with help from the New Mane 6 and the others.
