Spike groaned softly as he felt himself finally waking up after being knocked out by something, he didn't know what it was, it was so fast, and so sudden, they couldn't make out what it was before all of them were knocked out. They were all in a really tough spot at this time, and for them to be taken off guard just made Spike worry if something worse was going to happen soon if they don't find Ignitus and the others.

Spike slowly began to open his eyes after he finally felt himself waking up, he was greeted with the sun shinning down on him which made him cover them for a moment, and Spike tried moving up to see what happened.
"What happened?" Spike asked tiredly as he tried finding out where they were, and as he looked to his side, he saw Cynder and Spyro were magically chained to the post they were at because of they're chains, and Spyro was still knocked out too.

"Mom.. what happened? Where are we?" Spike asked with worry as he tried getting out of the chains.

"Don't worry son, we're alright, we just.. ran into some trouble, and it ties into Hunter. Once they talk it out, I'm sure we'll find a way to get out of here." Cynder explained while Spike sighed with annoyance hearing that.

"Great, captured again after 3 years of being frozen and escaping an army again, lucky us." Spike said sarcastically as they heard Spyro waking up too.

They looked over to him and saw him opening his eyes, he groaned a bit too while he was standing up a bit, and he soon noticed they were here still too.
"Morning Spyro." Spike said with an annoyed look as they looked ahead and saw Hunter was chained down too, and looking ahead of them, they could see more Cheetah's that looked like Hunter, most of them were in different colors then Hunter was, and they had Sparx in a lamp after he was captured by them too.

One of them held a sword in his hands and special clothing which looked like he was the leader, and he looked upset seeing the dragons in front of him.
"Dragons, do you have such little respect for our law, by forming an alliance by the very one who's who caused all our misfortunes?" The leader asked with a stern look while he turned to Hunter.

"Chief Prowles. Malefor, he alone is the one responsible for this, Deathstorm is just a slave, and these dragons are our last hope, you must see that!" Hunter argued back while Prowles turned to them again.

"Yes, I see that. The Purple Dragon, I've heard rumors there were too of them, but unlike you, I haven't forgotten what Malefor was like when he was young. Not to mention that the little one, is HER son.." Prowles said with a glare as he turned to Cynder and Spike, Spike still looked a lot like Cynder now thanks to his corruption some time back, and he clutched his fists in anger being told that.

"And why should I be ashamed of being her son? She's my mother, and what she did, wasn't her fault." Spike argued back while he stayed close to Cynder who felt glad to hear that from him, but he payed no attention to his arguments.

"I relied on you, Hunter. As I was to rely on all of us to protect this village from Deathstorm and her forces, but you chose to abandon us! And bring the dangers of the outside world with you when you returned!" Prowles accused as he came closer to Hunter again.

"The dangers are already around us! Every moment we waste here is another moment for Deathstorm to find and destroy us all, she is under a darker influence then Cynder ever was! If we do not get out of here soon, not only will this whole village be destroyed, but this whole world will too." Hunter countered again as he knew the threat Deathstorm poses.

Spike was concerned about this knowing what he saw, he had a bad feeling that she may be searching for them right now, and he was worried about what she's done.
"Man.. Deathstorm's really caused a lot of trouble for them in such a short time.. " Spike said with worry while Cynder looked down regretfully with what they saw of her last night.

"I know, she's gone through what I have by now, maybe even worse things because of him.. the only way we could free her, is if we stop Malefor.." Cynder said with guilt as she didn't want anyone to go through what she has.

"Don't worry.. we'll find a way to free her, we did it with you, and we can do it with her too." Spyro assured as they saw the two keep arguing still while Sparx layed back in his lamp.

"Hey can't you just stop arguing already? It's getting awkward for everyone." Sparx asked smugly just until they heard something alerting them.

"Grublins! In the Valley! Prepare your weapons!" One of them screamed as he was on a higher ledge them most.

They could see the bug like monsters flying up to the village in swarms, they all had explosives in they're hands and started tossing them into the village, and they started catching fire to most of the village which made the people around the place move quickly to stop it.
"Now do you see what you've done?!" Prowles asked with frustration as this village was being swarmed by more of them by the minute.

"Let us go! We can help!" Spyro advised as they tried breaking out of they're chains.

"Please, our soldiers can handle this." Prowles said as they saw more of them swarming into the village.

"Yeah, with these numbers? It'll only make things worse for you." Spike added while he crossed his arms again.

"My son is right, this isn't the time to be stubborn!" Cynder argued as well which made Prowles think over this for a moment.

"Hey, you better listen to them, things get weird when they're upset." Sparx encouraged as he's seen this first hand with what they've been through. After some heavy thinking, Prowles sighed as he had no choice but to let them go to help.

"... Fine.. do not make me regret this." Prowles said sternly as he took out a special key and unlocked the chain that was keeping them restrained for now.

"Finally, let's go guys!" Spike shouted as he, Spyro and Cynder charged into the village to keep it from being destroyed.

The group charged into the village as more and more Grublins were attacking the village, it was almost swarmed by them at this point, and they needed to fight them off to keep it from burning down.
"Spyro, Spike, you keep the houses from burning down! I'll try and hold them off " Cynder shouted as she took a deep breath and shot more Siren blasts at the Grublins near some of the burning houses.

"Got it, let's do it Spyro!" Spike shouted as he hopped on Spyro's back while he jumped in the air, Spyro took a deep breath while Spike summoned his Ice spear again and twirled it around fast enough that it started causing a whirlwind of snow, it was a new move Spike was starting to develop, and it may be a lot more helpful in the future.

"Now!" Spike shouted as he threw his Ice spear at the base of the house without hitting it, but the ice whirlwind was strong enough to cool off most of it, and Spyro's ice breath was enough to fully put the fire out of the house so they can save the others too.

"Nice going!" Spyro complimented as he landed back down, Spike quickly ran to his mom as they were still needing to be close together in order to work as a team. He saw Cynder was trying to hold off the Grublins, but more and more were coming from the ground which made it tougher.

"Get away from my mother!" Spike shouted as he summoned his Lightning powers again and charged them into his fists, Spike's body was sparking up with lightning the faster he ran to her, and at he right moment, Spike lunged in the air directly to one of the larger ones and delivered a powerful punch which one shot the thing in an instant.

The Grublin went flying out of the village and across the valley, and Spike continued punching the rest of them down with extremely fast speeds.
"Wow, your really getting the hang of using your powers again!" Cynder said with surprise as Spike only just got his other powers back after losing them previously.

"Spyro and I went through some tough trials in order to fully use them again! You can thank the Chronicler for that!" Spike shouted again as he jumped in the air and raised his fist, and he fell back down to the ground before delivering a punch to the floor which sent a shockwave of lighting across it.

Spyro assisted in this fight too, and he kept using his Earth powers to shoot more blasts at the Grublins that kept on coming, they were worse then the apes because of how many there were that kept showing up so quickly.

They could even see that Prowles was starting to struggle with how many of them they are, and Spike quickly used his Shadow powers to summon his scythe again so he could help him out.
"There's gotta be a way we can drive these guys out!" Spike shouted as he twirled his scythe around and threw it directly to the Grublins, and with a new move Spike was able to develop just now, the scythe twirled around the Grublins in a clockwise manner, leaving a trail of shadow before it, and the Grublins were soon taken down as the shadow exploded from the dark power.

Prowles was pretty surprised seeing how fast Spike was able to take them all down, but it still didn't get rid of the concerns he had with what's happening right now.

But as they had just gotten rid of the next hoard of Grublins, Sparx could see something in the sky that looked like dragons, hopefully ones that were coming to help them.
"Look, dragons! We are saved!" Sparx cheered as the creatures got closer, but as irony for saying that, they turned out to be flying monsters that looked like dragons, but were coming to attack the village just like the Grublins.

"Ah! Those aren't dragons! We are all gonna die!" Sparx screamed with fear while Spike whipped down a few more monsters next to him with his Fear powers.

"Do you think there really are that many other dragons aside us and the guardians? Should've seen that coming Sparx!" Spike shouted as he used his Wind powers again and used his shuriken's to take down a larger number of them which looked to be the last of them for now.

But the creatures Sparx had seen were now flying into the village to cause more destruction, and they started breathing more fire on the buildings around them before coming in to attack the group.

"Jump!" Spyro shouted as he and everyone else jumped at the same time, Spike quickly summoned his Poison hammer again and twirled it around like before, and he made a loud battle cry as he smashed the flying monster to the ground to help out.

Cynder shot multiple poison blasts at the group around them, and the poison was strong enough to weaken them to the point it gave them an opening to attack. Spike then summoned his Earth weapon again and twirled the ball around in the air, and Spike slammed the thing in the monster's faces which knocked them away even more.
"We won't be done until all the monster's are defeated! Keep fighting!" Prowles shouted as he slashed at some more monsters with his sword, and he was able to take down another group that tried attacking him.

Spike saw more of those monsters were flying around him in a circle in the air again, and Spike quickly used his Wind powers to summon more shuriken's, and he threw dozens of them at each enemy to take them down all at once, Spike then quickly changed to his Fire again, and he drew his Fire sword and lunged directly at the last one and sliced it apart, Spike soon landed on the ground and put the sword on his back as the monster fell to the ground in pieces, and Spike turned to it with a glare of anger.
"That's for attacking my home." Spike said with anger as he was going to get back for what they did to the Dragon Lands.

Spyro and Cynder quickly ran up to the next house that was still on fire, and Spyro quickly shot more ice at it in order to put it out, Spike saw they could use more help again, and he quickly stopped what he was doing to help out.
"I'm here! Hold on!" Spike shouted again as he charged up his Ice powers and took a deep breath, and he shot a stream of ice at the last house to cool it off, and it looked like that was the last house that needed to be saved.

"That's all of the houses, now let's finish off the rest of them!" Cynder instructed as they could see just a few of them were left, and all 3 of them charged into battle to finish this off.

One of them flew directly to Spike who quickly rolled out of the way of the attack, he then grabbed the monster by it's tail and started twirling it around before he slammed it on the ground, Cynder followed this up by lunging at the beast and clawing it in the face until it was down for good. Spyro shot multiple lightning blasts at the remaining ones in the air.

There was only a few of the Grublins left to take down, and Spike and Cynder finished off the last of them by taking a deep breath, and shooting one more powerful Siren blast at the last of them, and the Siren blast was all they needed to put down the last of the Grublins, and they all were defeated finally.

Everyone took deep breaths and tried taking in the rest they could for the moment, while the village was still damaged in the fight, it was at least safe and the monsters were gone.
"Man.. to know that Malefor has thousands of those pests out there is just scary.. and we're going to have to face all of them in order to stop them.." Spike said tiredly as he was catching his breath.

"Don't worry.. if we managed to make it this far, we can push it through them too, just take it easy son, we'll make it through this." Cynder assured once again as they looked around the village.

Some of the villagers were injured in the fight, but they all looked to be okay after what's happened here, but Prowles was wanting to make sure everything was okay.
"Is everyone alright?" Prowles asked all the villagers who were taking in this moment.

"No, Meadow is missing, he went upstream this morning to find some herbs, but he hasn't returned. We must find him!" One of them said with concern, but Prowles didn't want the risk of any of them being hurt to happen.

"No, it is too dangerous, we cannot mount a search for him now." Prowles said with guilt which made the villagers look down with regret for him, and Spike and Spyro knew they had to do something in order to help him.

"Spyro, you think we'll be able to find him?" Spike whispered to him who was confident they can do it.

"I'm sure it won't take too long." Spyro answered as he went up to tell them what they'll do.

"We'll go find him, it's the least we can do for all the trouble that's happened here. And Hunter can come with us to help." Spyro announced to them which did surprise them, but they felt grateful for it, but Prowles couldn't agree with Hunter going with them at the risk of them being abandoned.

"You all are free as you see fit, but Hunter stays here. However, if your honest and come back with Meadow, I may reconsider, until then, don't bother returning before then, it'll only risk more Grublins being attracted to the village." Prowles instructed sternly which they sighed at, as much as they found this annoying, with what they've been through, it made sense mostly.

"Understood, come on guys, let's find him." Spike said with a light yawn as they began leaving the village in order to find him.

"Good luck you three, you'll need it." Hunter encouraged as they were leaving the place to find him.

Spike still had a lot to think over with how long they've been frozen, knowing it's been 3 years since they last saw Ignitus and the others, and possibly Twilight and his family too, it was something that was a lot to take in for him, and knowing that Deathstorm was taken from his home to replace Cynder, he just felt so much regret for what's happened to this world.
"I can't believe this has happened guys.. to think we could've avoided this if we didn't get involved with those stupid pirates. We could've found the Chronicler sooner and been back at the Temple before all this happened.." Spike said with guilt which everyone else felt the same for.

"Well I did try warning you guys we shouldn't go out like that." Sparx said with a casual look which wasn't helping this at all.

"Quiet Sparx. Look, I know we went through a lot because of those pirates, but what matter's is that we're here now, and we're going to fix that Malefor's caused." Cynder assured as they were emerging into the Valley of Avalar, and it was a beautiful sight to say the least, even in the state the worlds in here, it was so nice seeing a calm and peaceful looking place like this, even if there are some monsters hidden around.

"What about Deathstorm? Do you think she'll find us here? This may be a place she'd search around now that we're free, do you think she may find the village and attack it?" Spyro asked with fear at the thought of it.

"I don't think she'd have the time to search around this place, but let's not hold our breaths. We need to find Meadow and get Hunter to lead us to Warfang, hopefully we'll be able to talk about what's happened with Ignitus again. " Spike said with hope as they were heading out to find him.

"Whatever it takes, we will stop this, let's go guys." Cynder insisted as they all started to run through the place together to find him, and Spike just prayed that with what's happened here, will only help them be another step to stopping Malefor.

"You'll pay for what you've done.. I swear it Malefor.." Spike thought to himself as he wasn't going to let him get away with this..

Hey guys thanks for reading this! Sorry for the wait on this chapter again, and how it's pretty short compared to the others, but I wanted to save the Valley of Avalar for the next chapter to help Spike, Spyro, Sparx and Cynder take in what they have, because after they leave, it's gonna be very action heavy going forward.

I'll go more into Deathstorm after the next chapter too, because she's gonna matter towards the end with what's happened to her. I'm gonna try updating the rest of my story's grammar to be like this too soon, and I hope you don't mind that. Again, sorry for the wait, but I just hope you liked it and have a good day guys!
