When they heard the bell they took their things to go home. Few stayed to prepare; Their school would face their rival, Cristal Prep. Many had left, they were content with defeat, that school had beaten them in everything for years. Only a few believed they could achieve it; One of those were the Rainbooms. They were currently at the entrance of the school, near the statue. It turns out that Rainbow had called them about an emergency, but nothing serious, she just wanted a new string for her guitar, she wanted to play for the cruseders. Sunset Shimmer came out of the front door, aside from having her backpack, she was carrying a small toolbox. But she was wearing a different new style. A very classic leather jacket with orange stripes, an aqua shirt with her cutie mark in, blue jeans, and black boots with orange stripes. Besides, she had accessories; A leather necklace, bracelets, piercings. Now there was an awkward silence, Sunset made the first move, walking down the steps to leave. "Sunset, wait" Rainbow said. Sunset stopped, and looked the group. "How are you? We haven't seen you since..." "Christmas?" Sunset said. "Since Anon-a-miss, right?" The girls, and especially the crusaders, crouch down in shame and guilt. The last Christmas season, while Sunset was with her new friends, she had to deal with school problems. Someone spread rumors about rainbooms of embarrassing things. They were so desperate that, in one meeting, they interrogated Sunset. She attempted to peacefully walk away from them, but their insistence forced her to reveal some of her demon magic, just as she did with the Dazzlings. With that, the Rainbooms' few attempts at friendship towards Sunset diminished due to increasing guilt. Plus a new fear, her demon anger, and the worry of fighting again without Twilight. "Yes... and for the thousandth time, we were wrong, again" said AppleJack. "Actually, is the one thousand three hundred and sixty-seven thousand two hundred and fifty-nine times!" Pinkie Pie said. "You're not helping Pinkie" Rarity said, making the pink girl sad. "I'm sorry" the pink girl said sadly. Sunset only saw the girls, and she turned to leave. "Sunset!" said Rarity. "Now what?!" Sunset said annoyed. The fashionista girl approached nervously, but she maintained her composure to hand a note. Sunset took the paper, it was a list where the participants came for the school games. At the end was her name. "What's the meaning of this??" I asked seriously. "Principal Celestia gave it to me, for you, she believes that having you on the team will be of great advantage against Cristal Prep" Rarity explained. "Mmmm" Sunset said, looking at the list. "She thought the same about you guys" "Yes, so we will be working as a team if we want to beat Cristal this year" said Rainbow motivated, returning inside the school. The others followed her. "Umm.. do you want to come Sunset?" Applejack asked. "I have other plans" Sunset replied. "I see, I know you don't like us, but eventually we'll have to work together when the games start, you know?" Applejack said. "I do, I'll be there" said Sunset. Applejack smiled a little and walked into the school. "Awwww, are you getting attached to them?" "Leave me alone Demon, I'll only see them during these games" said Sunset. "Yes, another waste of time" "What are you complaining about? Isn't it enough to possess my body at night?" Sunset asked. "I told you I have to do it, I have to feed, and the magic hasn't been so constant lately." "Well stop it, you don't let me sleep at night" "Oh~? Are you sure I'm the one who doesn't let you sleep at night~?" D asked, smiling mischievously. Before Sunset could object, her phone rang with a notification. She checked it and it was a message from Adagio: "Hey Sunset, we're waiting for you, are you coming?" "Hi Adagio, I'm coming. I was entertained with something, but I be there" "Okay, hurry up ;)" Sunset smiled at the mermaid leader's messages. "Speaking of the queen~" D smiled. "S-Shut up" Sunset said, trying not to blush. Pony girl was so distracted that she didn't notice someone approaching the school. With a sweatshirt covering her face, and she was wearing a strange device, she was using it to check the statue. When Sunset recovered, she noticed that person. "Hey!" shouted. "What are you doing?!" The hooded person ran away, Sunset went after her, but her cars prevented her from crossing the street, and she escaped from her by taking the bus. "Who was she?" Sunset asked. "I guess we'll find out later, with these ridiculous games we can be at school" "Yes, that's true. But she'll have to wait, I have to hurry to the Dazzlings mansion" said Sunset, returning to her motorcycle. "Don't want to keep your mermaid waiting, huh~?" "If you don't shut up, I'm going to exorcise you" Sunset said annoyed. Her demon started laughing, while Sunset started her motorcycle and returned to the highway. Right after the New Year's Eve, the dazzlings moved back to their old mansion, thanks to the influence of Lemon and Blues' grandfather, they managed to get their things back. It was difficult, since things were so old and valuable. They returned to their beautiful beach house, just outside the city. The happiest was Sonata, because I can cook again at home, she loved cooking in other places, but she didn't feel the same as at home, as a thank you, she prepared different dishes. For Aria, a Meat and Rice Bowl, Crab Risotto for Adagio, Seafood Paella, for Blues, and Seafood Curry for herself and her girlfriend, Lemon. At that moment Adagio came in, and saw the food, Sonata realized it. "Don't worry, I already have Sunset's, fried egg and rice. No meat" she smiled "Good" said Adagio. "Sunset is coming here?" asked. "She said she was close," Adagio said. "Worried about your pony?" Aria said, entering suddenly. "Weren't you with your little friend upstairs?" Adagio answered. "He's resting, asked me to pircing his ears" Aria said, grabbing two beers from the refrigerator. "It doesn't sound so bad" Sonata said. "Six times on one, and another two on the right" Aria replied. "Ouch!" Sonata said. "And he's not my little friend Dazzle, the only thing we have in common is our taste in men" Aria said. That surprised the other two, leaving them in shock. "Wait Wha-?!" "Don't cut yourself Sonata, focus on cooking" said Adagio. "So he is?" "You was right, he's a damn closet gay, he just needs a little motivation" Aria said. "Don't you ever learn, Aria? We've lived several lives and you haven't understood not to get involved in other people's lives," Adagio said. "I could tell you the same thing," Aria said. They both looked at each other threateningly, with the poor Sonata so nervous. Luckily her girlfriend came in to break the ice. "Before you kill each other, I would like to eat first" said Lemon, approaching her girlfriend to kiss her. "We're not ALL here" said Adagio. But the sound of a motorcycle alerted them. "Finally" Aria said. "I'll go wake up your crying bitch brother" she went to her room. "I'll help Sunset" Adagio said, leaving the kitchen. "Do you want me to help you with that, Toothpaste?" Lemon asked. "Stop call me that, and the food is ready" Sonata smiled. "I'm not talking about that~" Lemon smiled, making the blue siren blush. Adagio opened the garage, so Sunset could store her motorcycle. "You were late" Adagio said. "Sorry, but I was busy" Sunset replied. "With what?" Adagio asked "The Rainbooms" said Sunset. "What did they want?" Adagio was upset. "They said I'll be participating in some games against a rival school" she explained. While Sunset explained everything, Sonata and Lemon prepared the table and the food. Blues and Aria came down to get settled. But Lemon was surprised to see her brother. "What happened to your hair?" Lemon ask. "It was Aria, she gave me a new style" the boy smiled. "Father wouldn't like that, you know?" her sister said. "I don't care, I won't change again for a stuffy old man" said Blues, proud. That's when Sunset and Adagio arrived. "You look good Blues" said Sunset. "Why did you take so long?" Aria asked. "Because you don't stop bothering and help Sonata with the table" Adagio said annoyed. Aria growled in annoyance and went to help her sister, the other siblings followed them, laughing. "Thank you again for inviting us Adagio" Sunset smiled. "It's the least I can do, you helped us get our home back" Adagio smiled. "And besides, you saved us from the asylum" took Sunset's hand. "And you saved me" "Y-You're welcome" Sunset smiled nervously. "Hey! Are you two going to eat or not?" Lemon shouted. The two hurried to the outside dining room they had. Within minutes, they were enjoying the delicious food while talking about different topics. They stayed up late, enjoying the pool, having drinks, and Sonata's delicious snacks. Blues and Aria played in the pool against Sonata and Lemon, Adagio preferred to sunbathe until nightfall, Sunset stayed by her side. Adagio watched her sisters having fun. Even though Aria wanted to lend her one of her bikinis, Sunset preferred something more covered. Short above the knee, a tank top with an open shirt, Adagio was a little disappointed. "Time out!" Blues shouted tiredly. "We won again!" Sonata shouted happily. "You're pathetic" Aria said annoyed. "Winning so much made me hungrier" Lemon said. "I think there were some snacks left in the kitchen, I'll go get them" Sunset said. She got up from her chair and went to the kitchen and found the sandwiches near the living room furniture. When she took them, she accidentally threw the remote control, which fell to the floor, turning on the television, to the news channel: "Breaking news! Today the monument is finished being built in the house where the famous murders of the serial killer, known as the Party Hard Killer, occurred" Sunset went blank upon hearing that. "And in addition to that, we have news that the alleged suspect in the murders will be released from the juvenile correctional facility. After almost a year of his arrest, the young man has been acquitted of the charges against him." The pony girl dropped the tray of food to the ground, seeing the defendant's face. "His name has been revealed to the public, the young Sky Hawk, a former student at the prestigious Canterlot High, has been released and his innocence has been proven. Trying to obtain an interview with the boy, he did not want to give more information about the facts" Sunset fell to the ground in shock at what she heard. "He only mention wanting to return to his life... and with his friends. Therefore, the events of that fateful night are still unknown. And without knowing what happened to... the party killer" The pony girl began to breathe heavily, her body did not stop shaking, thousands of memories returned to her mind. "Sunset?" call Lemon. "What happened with the-?" But she was surprised to find her friend on the floor, with the broken plate of food in front of her. "Sunset?! What's wrong? What happen?!" She knelt next to her worried. She then watched television and understood everything. "Shit! Sunset, please calm down, I'm with you, okay?" Lemon said, hugging her friend. "Why are they taking so long?" Blues asked suddenly. "What happened?!" watching the scene. "TURN OFF THE DAMN TV!!!" Lemon shouted. Her brother was scared, but when he saw the screen he understood, but because of her nerves he just left her silent. "What the fuck is going on here?" It was Aria standing at the door with Sonata next to her. Adagio was the last to enter the house. "What's wrong with Sunset?" Sonata asked. Hearing that, the lead siren made way for the pony girl. "What happened here?!" Adagio said kneeling next to her. "I...I..." Lemon said. "No" Sunset said, getting everyone's attention. "Not... again..." "It's okay Sunset," Adagio said, taking the pony girl. She gently helped her up, and led her to the living room couch. "Sonata, prepare some tea, you know which one. Aria, bring the emergency kit" she ordered. Her sisters did not protest and obeyed. Sunset stayed in Adagio's arms as he tried to calm her down, while Lemon and Blues sat in front. "I want answers. Now" the lead siren looked defiantly at the brothers. "We-" Lemon stopped her brother. "We won't talk until our friend calms down" Adagio nodded, she wanted answers, but she was right, Adagio just focused on calm Sunset and reassuring her. In a few minutes, Aria returned with the kit, and Sonata with the tea. They offered Sunset the drink and some medicine, in a matter of half an hour, Sunset fell asleep in Adagio arms. "What did you give her?" Blues asked. "Some sleeping medications, are more effective with a hot drink" Adagio responded. "She should go rest somewhere else" Lemon said. "Take her to my room" Adagio said. "I'll do it" said Blues. He approached her friend and picked her up. "Show him the way, Sonata" Aria said. The little siren nodded and left the room with the boy. "Now, are you going to talk?" Aria asked. "Yes, but no" Lemon responded. "What do you mean?" Adagio asked. "I made, we made a promise. I can't tell you much" Lemon said. "Does it have to do with that?" Aria said, pointing to the television with the news. "Yes" Lemon took control and activated the audio. "And we hope to have you tomorrow, dear viewers, to continue with the case of the party killer, where we will tell how the events that led this 'Party Hard Killer' to commit the murders could have occurred." Lemon turned off the TV. "Does this sound familiar?" asked. "No. We weren't in town at the time, we were on tour in another city" Aria said. "In Las Vegas, but, I remember something similar happened there too, we didn't give it importance" Adagio responded. "But what does it have to do with Sunset?!" Aria asked. "Everything" said Blues, with Sonata at his side. "Did you tell them?" "Not yet. I know we promised Sunset, but we'll be able to give our version of how it started" said her sister. "Okay, that's fine with me" said Blues. "Okay, then I'll start" Lemon said. "We will tell them the reason for Sunset's attack. It all started at that party... the same one where I met her." I was supposed to meet up with some old friends, but they didn't show up in the end, good for them. I was walking to the party, until I saw a girl being harassed by a guy. I wanted to go help her, but it wasn't necessary, the girl knocked him out easily. A girl with a tough look, it was obvious that she was a girl you shouldn't mess with. "Wow, you kicked that trash's ass" I said. She just looked at me. "Did you piss yourself out of fear?" Lemon smiled. "No. He did" the girl said coldly, and walked away. "Hey, my name is-" "I'm not interested in knowing your name" said the fiery haired girl. "The guy said Sunset, that's your name, right? I see you like to dress in leather, do you like rock? What kind?" Lemon asked. "I like it too, but I almost always listen to a more pop rock style, what kind of instrument-" I was interrupted by the girl who stopped, making me bump into her back. "Why are you following me?!" Sunset shouted annoyed. "I'm not following you, we're just going to the same place" Lemon replied. "I'm heading to a party on the outskirts of town" Sunset replied. "The one on the last street? I'm going there too" Lemon said. "What?!" Sunset said angrily. "Come on, we'll be late" Lemon said. IShe made an annoyed sound, and followed me with an annoyed look. I tried to bring up conversation topics, but she ignored me, or so I thought. She seemed rude and cold, but you could tell she was comfortable talking to someone. That was until we got to that house "Sunset was an Aria?!" Sonata laughed. "Not exactly" Lemon said "Yeah, it wasn't that bad" Blues said. "What the fuck does that mean?!" Aria said furiously. "Enough Aria, this story is getting boring. In short; they went to a party, where was there a murderer who crashed parties to kill for pleasure?" Adagio ask. "Yeah, and that party was the last time he was seen" Blues said. "What happened to him?" Sonata ask. "They say he ran away and hide to attack again, others say he died because one of his victims fought back," Lemon said. "Is that victim the guy seen on the news? That Sky Hawk guy," Aria asked. They both stayed silent. "We don't know for sure. We met him at the party, he was nice, well, I think so," Blues said. "We thought he was dead. Blues came when I called him, when things got really bad, he saved me, but I didn't hear from him or Sunset for a few hours" Lemon said. "The rest of the story, that guy or Sunset knows it, doesn't?" Adagio asked. "That's right, but after what happened to her, we have to let her rest," Blues said. "We'll have to wait, let's go to sleep," Adagio said. They cleaned everything up and each fell asleep with a Dazzling. Aria with Blues, in different beds of course. Lemon with Sonata. And Sunset stayed with Adagio. The leader of sirens arranged her bed as best as possible so as not to disturb the pony girl. "This meeting didn't go as planned, I didn't expect you act like this" said Adagio, to the sleeping Sunset. "Oh well, I'll have to find another time to tell you my feelings, for now..." slowly leaned down to kiss her forehead and caress her hair. "I'll settle for this~" smiled as she kissed the girl's forehead again. "Sweet dreams, Sunny~" Sunset woke up with a horrible headache, she realized she fell asleep, wanted to get up, but something was holding her arm, when she looked, she blushed a lot. Adagio asleep next to her?! But what happened last night? She remembered went to the kitchen for something to eat, and then... the tv news. She felt like she was going to have another attack, but a hand held her. "Good morning Sunset" said Adagio, awake. "How are you feeling?" "I... what..." "Relax, you had an anxiety attack, after seeing the news about a party killer" said Adagio. "So... it wasn't a hallucination, it was real" said Sunset. "Don't be upset, Lemon told us a little about it, just about how you met, and about your phase being an Aria" smiled the leader siren. "Yeah, I'm not proud of that" Sunset laugh . "She just say that?" "Yeah, your friends wanted to respect your decision to not say anything until you were okay" said Adagio. "So, What's wrong with you Sunset?" "I-" "Adagio! Wake up Sunset! We have to go to school!" Lemon suddenly shouted. "I-I better get ready" said Sunset getting up from the bed, and grabbed her clothes. "I know what you're thinking, and no, there won't be any more secrets again. I promise to tell them everything, but not now" "I'll take your word Sunny, let me take you to school, and I won't take no for an answer" Adagio smiled, stretched and grabbed a towel to go take a shower. "Take your time Sunny~" Sunset blushed deeply when she saw the siren wink at her and move her hips to the bathroom. She managed to recover and got dressed, waiting for her. She came out already dressed, with an outfit worthy of her, very sexy. They went down to the living room where everyone was ready, they got into the Dazzlings' van heading to the city. "Blues, why did happen to you hair?" asked Sunset. She saw her friend with his school uniform all done up and his hair combed back "My dad will be at school, and I won't tell him about my change yet" the boy said nervously. "Gay change" Aria said, driving. "Yeah, gay change" Blues said. "You'll tell him later, now I need to get to school, I've waited too long for these games" Lemon said. "Good for you" Sunset said. "Oh come on Sunset, relax a little, I'll be nice to you" Lemon smiled. "We'll see" Sunset said angrily. The van crossed its last stoplight, it was too early for there to be any cars, they only had one black car next to them. When the light was green, they continued on their way, the other car turned left. That car was a very relieved woman, and a man driving a little scared. "You've been very quiet honey, is everything okay?" the woman said. "Leave him alone woman, the boy has been through a lot" said the driver. "Don't worry son, everything will be okay, I know it's been hard for you, but we'll work it out" he looked at the back seat. "Finally the accusations against you are over, and no one will ever accuse you of those horrible events, of that crazy party killer" said the woman. A boy with blue hair and orange eyes was silent, as if in a kind of trance. That boy was Sky Hawk. First they left the Lemon siblings to Crystal Prep. Lastly they left Sunset in Canterlot. "Thanks again" Sunset said, taking her backpack. "I'll see you later Sunset, you know where" Adagio said. "And don't kill anyone again with your demon side" Aria smiled. "I've never killed anyone Aria, and I don't plan to" Sunset said. "Don't listen to her Sunny, good luck in the games. We would have liked to see them" Sonata said. "Maybe Lemon will record some things, bye girls" Sunset said. She got out of the van heading to school, and watched the group leave. Sunset had recently confessed her demon side to them. Aria was the most skeptical of the group, but eventually accepted it. Sunset went to the library to hang out, but was disappointed to see too many students. Apparently these games have everyone super concentrated. Even Rainbow and the others were there, she didn't want to deal with them now, she spent the rest of the morning somewhere else. Later, everyone gathered at the stage where the battle of the bands was. She sat in the farthest bleachers possible. She took her camera to record a bit, Sonata asked to see some of the games. While she waited for the speech, she noticed several students murmuring and looking at her from time to time. But when she looked back they moved away in fear. Her situation was better, she was no longer bullied, but they still didn't fully accept her. It wasn't something Sunset cared about anymore. But that didn't matter anymore, the directors arrived and made their announcement. "As I'm sure you all know, tomorrow Canterlot High School will be welcome hosting our fellow students from the Crystal Prep Academy. As we join together in the spirit of excellence sportsmanship and fidelity and to compete in the friendship games." Everyone applauded with the greatest pessimism possible, even Sunset was surprised. "Since the games only happen every four years, I'm sure you all curious what's going on" Celestia said. "You mean other than us losing!" Flash Sentry shouted. "And that's exactly why I asked Rainbow Dash to come and give you all a little, um context," she handed her the microphone. "Thank you Principal Celestia," she cleared her throat. "I know a lot of you might think there's no way we can beat a fancy school like Crystal Preap at anything," Rainbow said. "Except lose to Crystal at everything, because we dominate at that" Pinkie shouted. "Ugh! And I know CHS has never won the Friendship Games even once" "Oh dear. I hope her speech isn't meant to be motivational," Rarity said to Fluttershy. "Crystal Prep students are super athletic, Super smart, and super motivated. But there's one thing they aren't. "Is anybody else wondering how Dash poined up without playing her guitar?" Applejack asked. "I know! right?, it's probably becase I'm so awesome" Rainbow said. "I don't doubt it dear, but isn't it much of a coincidence?" Rarity said. "Well it would be nice if you girls could get a handle on it" the Vice Principal said. "We'd like to keep magic as far away from the Friendship Games as possible, we don't want to be accused of cheating" "We don't need magic to defeat those hoity-toity Crystal Preppers" Rarity said elegantly. With the support of her friends. "Still the Friendship Games are serious business, we don't want any surprises, especially the kind that could cause forfeit" Luna said. "Sunset Shimmer; you came here from a world of magical, perhaps you can get to the bottom of our magical development" "I'll do my best" Sunset said. The Vice Principal nodded and left. "Okay, anyone have any guesses what events are gonna be?" asked Rainbow "They won't even let us see what they're doing to the field, you'd think they'd at least tell the competitors what they're competing in" said Applejack. "It could be anything" said Fluttershy. "ANYTHING?! How will I ever pick the right outfit?" said Rarity in panic. Sunset went to the exit door. "Where are you going, Sunset?" asked Pinkie. I didn't mean to insult her, I just needed some examples to motivate the school" Raindow defended herself. "Maybe these games will finally give us the opportunity to spend time with her" said Fluttershy. "You're right, besides, it's good to have her on the team" said Applejack. "Seems like she have everything under control, nothing to worry about" said Pinkie happily. But that wasn't true. Sunset went to the library to review her notes on this new discovery. She pretended to study so as not to be discovered, but she couldn't figure this out, so she got frustrated. She looked at her old book for a moment. "Gonna talk with the little princess~?" said "Dee" suddenly. "What are you doing here? You don't show up at this hour," Sunset said in surprise, looking around. "And miss the new show~? Forget it. Now listen to me and cover your mouth so they don't think you're talking to yourself," the demon laughed. "What do you want now?" Sunset whispered. "I want to know how you plan to keep the magic under control. You should know something by now, right?" "Well, I don't know yet. All I see is that they transform when they play music. But what I saw makes me think that the magic is constantly changing here." "Interesting theory, we'll see how true it is~" smiled. "If that's what you're here for, you can get to fuck out now" Sunset said annoyed. "I'm just messing with ya. The truth is, I felt a strange sensation at school, similar when the Dazzlings arrived the first time." "Really? Could it be since Raindow and the others transform when they sing?" asked Sunset. "I don't think so. I've been feeling it since yesterday" said "Dee" "Yesterday? You don't mean that girl I saw in the statue, don't you?" said Sunset surprised. "I can't confirm that, it doesn't feel like when that princess or those sirens came, the magic does feel different" said "Dee" "I hope she doesn't come back, I already have enough things to do" said Sunset. "You won't have to wait that long~, the Preppies arrived, and your friend too" she smiled. "She told me that she doesn't want us to interact during the games, she doesn't want them to think that because she's my friend I'm betraying the school and look at me with more hatred than usual" said Sunset. "Riiiighht~ and it's not because she's ashamed of you" smiled the demon with a grin. "She's not like that. She's better than that" smiled Suset, she watched through the window as her friend got off the bus, jumping like crazy when she hears music. "Anyway, let me know when things get interesting" "Well I hope not, so I don't have to deal with you too" said Sunset, leaving the library. She walked through the hallways of the school, but when she turned a corner, she saw the possible headmistress of the rival school. She was with... Twilight Sparkle?! "Sunset! I'm glad you showed up" said Rarity. "We need to talk" said Applejack. Walking through the hallways, they explained to Sunset what happened. "I can't believe our world's Twiligh goes to Crystal Prep" said Rarity. "You're saying that Twilight's gonna play against us?! She'd never do that" said Rainbow. "Our Twilight wouldn't" said Fluttershy. "That Twilight is a princess of Equestria with her own problems" said Sunset. "Right, we certainly can't expect her drop everything and pop through the portal whenever, especially if it's to deal with something as minor as a few random pony-ups" said Rarity. "Exactly, besides we can handle this. Come on guys, let's see if we can find any info about the events and come up with a stretch" said Rainbow. "Will you join us Sunset?" she asked. "I have to do something, I'll... catch up with you guys in a bit" said Sunset. Rainbow just smiled and left. Sunset thought about it and went to the school statue. She approached the portal, not realizing that someone else was doing it. "Maybe there's another way to-" but as soon as she put her hand on it, she couldn't get it off. "Hey! Let me go!" She didn't realize it, but on the other side Twilight was absorbing her magic through the statue with her necklace. Sunset noticed . "What did you do?!" But Dean Cadence called out to her and walked away. Sunset tried to check the portal, but it had disappeared, and that scared her a lot. "Where's the portal?!" said Sunset. "What do I do now, Dee?" No answer. "Dee?" "Dee?!" she screamed in panic. Author's Note HI EVERYONE! I KNOW IT TOOK A LONG TIME, BUT FINALLY THE SECOND PART.
