"First things first..." said sour requiem.

She touched her magic necklace and concentrated. Then a bolt of magic shot at the sirens and turned them into ponies.

"I thought it would be more convenient for all of us, if you look less... conspicuous." Said sour requiem.

"If we must..." said adagio

"Great! Now let's get ready to travel to the siren kingdom!" Said Pinkie Pie.

They parted ways to go prepare. They would all depart for the siren kingdom in the morning.

The next day

Everyone gathered to take the train to the south Luna ocean. Thankfully the trip itself was fairly uneventful. The most exciting part of it was sour requiem catching up with her sisters. But eventually, the train stopped and they walked to the south Luna ocean.

"We'll have to swim from here on out." Said sour requiem.

"What about us?"Asked Spike.

"I brought some pearl shards from seaquestria. We'll be fine." Said twilight.

"Better save those till we're right above the siren kingdom. Wouldn't want to tire you out. You'll need all the strength you can get..." said sour requiem.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Asked rainbow dash.

"Nothing. Until then, we sirens will carry you on our backs." Said sour requiem.

"Seriously?" Asked aria

"Afraid you're not up to the challenge aria?" Asked sour requiem.

"I'm always up to the challenge sour." Said aria.

"Then let's get started." Said sour requiem.

She turned the dazzlings back into sirens and they flew into the water. Then she and sweet melody got into the water and turned into siren form.

"Don't just stand there. Hop on!" Said sour requiem.

The ponies warily hopped onto the backs of the sirens. And then the sirens swam through the ocean. It took longer than the ponies thought it would take. But finally after what felt like weeks of swimming, they were finally in position.

"OK. Now change into your sea forms and let's swim on down." Said sour requiem.

Twilight did just that. Everyone changed into their sea form, and they swum down into the deep blue sea.

They swum and swum until they could see glittering lights. The glittering lights turned out to be an enormous underwater city, with an gargantuan Palace at the centre.

"Welcome to atlantis" said sour requiem.

"After all these years... it feels weird to be back." Said sonata

"For once you're right, sonata." Said adagio.

"Let’s get to the Palace." Said sour requiem.

They swum towards the Palace but were stopped by the guards.

"Halt, who are you people?" Asked guard #1

"It is I princess sour requiem, alongside my granddaughter and the long lost triplet princesses, adagio dazzle, aria blaze and sonata dusk. We are here to see the ailing queen." Said sour requiem.

"Who are these other creatures with you." Asked guard #2

"These are princess twilight of equestria and her friends, they are here on official royal business." Said sour requiem.

After a few moments, the guards let them through. They swam through the opulent Palace that was decorated with all manner of rare jewels.

Eventually they came to a pair of enormous pair of doors. Before they went in sour requiem spoke to everyone.

"As you know mother is not feeling well... she is extremely forgetful, often repeats herself, and is very confused. If she starts mixing up the past and future, just gently remind her. OK?" Said sour requiem

Everyone nodded and swum into the bedchamber of the queen.

She looked... honestly terrible. She was unhealthily skinny, her scales were an unhealthy yellow pus colour, and her eyes were bloodshot. As they entered, she lifted her head.

"Who goes there?..." she asked

"It's me mother." Said sour requiem.

"Sour... you have returned. And is that?" Asked the queen.

"Hello mom." Said sonata.

"So, the triplets return. I seem to recall someone," she said looking at adagio "saying that they would never return to atlantis." She then got hit by a coughing fit which took a while to settle down.

"Well mother... things change." Said adagio.

"I'm sure they do. Who's the guppy?" The queen asked tilting her head toward sweet melody.

"She is my granddaughter, sweet melody." Said sour requiem.

"You have progeny? I was not made aware of this." Said the queen

"No, mother. You met my daughter flowing rhapsody many times, remember?" Said sour requiem.

"Ah, yes. So I did. So this is her daughter? Who is her father?" Asked the queen.

"A unicorn. I think his name was unusual archive?" Said sour requiem.

"I see. So this child is an abomination?" Asked the queen.

Sweet melody looked incredibly hurt at that statement.

"She may be an abomination, but she is still family, so I am honour bound to take care of her." Said sour requiem.

"Hmph. Who are these seaponies with you?" Asked the queen.

"They are princess twilight and her entourage." Sid sour requiem.

"Greetings, queen..." said twilight Sparkle.

"You may refer to me as queen fieramente." Said queen fieramente.

"Yes. Well queen fieramente, we were summoned her to help with a friendship problem." Said twilight

"Fine. But if you are going to linger in our kingdom, then you might as well help us with the coming storm..." said queen fieramente.

"What's that?" Asked fluttershy.

"Sour requiem will fill you in. Now leave me. I am tired now." Said queen fieramente.

They left then.

"I suppose it's time to fill you in..." said sour requiem.
