lingering ideas I didn't have the wordcount to expand on at request

Crystal Empire - Suffering from a rampant infection that melts flesh and fur off the bone, crystalizing the skeleton underneath. Highly contagious but surprisingly painless, but can only perpetuate in frigid environments, limited to it's northern biome as the rest of the surrounding regions have turned tropical. Half of the nation decorates the Capital's streets and buildings as little more than statues of glinting bone.

Princess Cadance seems to be the epicenter of the epidemic, as the Crystal Castle is entirely subsumed by eruptions of crystals.

The Umbrum find themselves unable to maintain their forms, relegated to an agonizing in-between as the disease attempts to melt flesh and fur that simply does not exist on ethereal shadow-bound ponies. In contrast, it treats them much harsher than the almost majestic, if somber fate to that of the crystal ponies. The only real threat in the area, other than the lingering infection if you make contact with the crystals, or the groaning, moaning puddles of shadowy masses, is the sole Umbrum who refuses to let his form falter, wandering the streets in a pained rage.

Everfree Forest - Now a cove of coral, it's residents reduced to sea-creatures of completely random variety with no link to their prior species, nestled beneath the waves and forming a coast just outside of Ponyville that stretches across the eastern side of what was once Equestria.

Compared to much of the strife that occurs on the surface, little issue happens below the waves, an amusing contrast to the fear and worry previously applied to the once forested region.

Ponyville - Entirely populated by the burgeoning population of the Schoolhouse, Ponyville is now an overgrown territory guarded by the foals and fillies under a centipedal-Cheerilee, hunting anything that tries to tread into their region.

Rarity's Boutique has been boarded up, as the foals have no interest dealing with the creatures inside.

Sugarcube Corner may lie abandoned, but hosts the largest entrance into the tunnels that run deep below the town, populated by a singular entity, who roams aimlessly, giggling. Try to avoid treading to deep, before the dirt and rock becomes squishy and wet, bleeding from every step.

Fluttershy's home is entirely missing, as is the yellow pony. Kept in a perpetual slumber, Discord keeps her hidden away for her own protection, so she might not be used against him by the other Draconequus. This works for the moment, as they're too busy trying to protect themselves from being put down again by Malice.

Canterlot - Completely overgrown not unlike Ponyville, the difference is clear in how the city still remains populated. Despite the population living as if things were normal, every pony that resides within the city is completely blind, and seems to take no issue with it if the topic is discussed.

It's for the best, for they best not gaze upon their Princess, who never moves from her throne.

The mirror world hardly fares any better than the world Equus knows now, it's own horrors kept from traversing by the Princess of the Moon, who can no longer be contained by any.
