For Anonymous Flicker, rune mage and changeling queen nymph, her teenage years were supposed to be peaceful. She should've been beyond getting foalnapped, life-or-death experiences in this world or the next, and getting wrapped up in the rebirth of a goddess. It should have all been fun and games with her adoptive family, and the study of runic science magic! You know, just normal young mare stuff!

There's a reason ponies don't test experimental spells without being watched over by by somepony more experienced, however. In an attempt to scry beyond the boundary of the world on her own power, something went wrong, and as a result Anon's soul has been separated from her body and rocketed across the multi(media)verse. Now it's a race against time for her to find her way home—with the distant help of her family—before the tether between her soul and her body breaks down completely. Still, who's to say she can't collect a few souvenirs along the way?

This story is not part of the main canon of Diaries of the Anonymous Filly/Vlogs of an Ancient Insect, but does heavily rely on established lore. Conceptually, I realised after the fact that this is somewhat similar to Sliders and Quantum Leap. That's quite alright by me. This is a story where Anon will not only enter the universes of other fictional media, but potentially observe the worlds of other alternate Equestrias.
