A young mare hummed as she used her magic to take down her shop, as her partners, a blue-ish grey griffin and a reformed changeling, make sure their products were in the correct boxes, and putting the boxes in a wagon to be taken to the train, ready to go to manehattan, her magic encased the sign as she flipped it to close and she turned to her partners "are you guys ready?" She asked excitedly.
The first one to speak up was the griffin "you know it fools gold!" He said with a smile, he pulled on his saddle bags.
The changeling rolled his eyes as he looked towards the griffin "of course you'll be ready for it, Emile." But then he turned to fools gold and nodded "but yeah, I am ready." He said as he used his own magic to pull on his saddle bags.
Fools gold smile happily, nearly bouncing down the street of Canterlot as they made there way to the train station, though they all felt a strange..... Energy as they passed an crashed station wagon, which quickly took off her smile "I wonder what happened there" she mumbled softly, almost talking to herself.
Her golden eyes immediately went back to the path to the train station, and she nudge the changeling "are you ready for the next few days while We're on the train, Bombshell?" She mischievously smirked at bombshell, which earned her a eye roll.
"Oh shut up, Goldie." The changeling grumbled his dark red eyes staring ahead as they approached the train station.
Fools gold nudged Bombshell "come on, You know how much I hate that name" she chuckled "sweet Celestia, were you always this up tight?" she teased the changeling again, a mischievous smirk across her muzzle.
As the three were chatting and all around goofing off, they don't notice three strange figure following them, their white glossy eyes glaring, they moved in an almost synchronized movements, black sludge dripping off of their coats.
Fools gold, Emile, and Bombshell got to the train station, the conductor checking his pocket watch, before he looked up at the group of creatures, a warm smile on his muzzle "ah, just in time." he muttered to himself. his eyes glowed a eerie white as he watched the group began to unload their wagons in the boxcar.
Emile and Bombshell continued to joke around, but Gold couldn't help but shiver from the odd feeling again, her eyes searching for something she even didn't know, her golden eyes landed on the Conductor, noticing the white glow to them, before she rubbed her eyes and the conductors eyes were a normal Brown color, a gentle smile on the conductor's muzzle.
The conductor walked over and use his magic to help them load their boxes into the boxcar "Nice to meet you, I'm Timestamp" he said to Fools gold, offering a hoof to her, the stallion's voice was low, almost purr-like.
Fools gold accepted the hoof from the conductor, a smile on her face as she force herself to forget the odd... hallucination, "I'm Fools Gold," she said before turning to her partners "and these are my partners."
Emile turned to Timestamp "I'm Emile" he said, as he loaded the wagon into the Boxcar, on it's side to make sure it doesn't roll.
Bombshell nodded a greeting as he help Emile with the wagon, though not speaking. "And this grump of a changeling is named Bombshell" Emile said cheekily, causing Bombshell to grumble with slight annoyance, his eyes narrowing on the griffin.
Timestamp went back to the side of the main car of the train, checking his pocket watch one more time, as the group of three entered the one of the many cars of the train, the car was absolutely packed, which makes sense, especially at this time of day.
Gold looked down at the book which was ensnared in her magic, her eyes on the book cover, a Timberwolf on the title cover, a scared mare with the same coat color as gold herself, just below the timberwolf's claws, blood spilling from the mare's mouth, and spilling onto the pages.
Emile's head was in the crook of gold's neck, Emile's beak gently nuzzled into fools Gold's warm coat, his eyelids bore heavy with tiredness, which seemed to give gold a calming effect.
Fools gold yawned softly as she read her book, her golden eyes slowly going off the pages and to the window, watching the world blur past them, which caused another yawn to escape her muzzle as she looked at the sun, slowly being eclipsed by the mountains, the purple glow hitting the train's lightened interior just right, creating grey shadow that caged the roof just beyond the light. Gold's eyelids closed after she put the book back in her saddlebags.
Bang
the sound of something hitting the window awoke Fools gold from her sleep, the magic filled lights now off, though, oddly there was still light from.. something, gold eyes looked towards the light and froze, her heart started to hammer against her chest, fear creeping up her throat, as well as bile. A pony as white as snow stared at her with unnatural white eyes, black slime oozed from the thing's eyes, it's neck bent and twisted to stare at gold. "you shouldn't be here..." the creature spoke, it's voice ravaged by time, the sound of it's bones breaking as it spoke.
"what..?" Fools gold looked around the train car, noticing it was just her and the creature... no, creatures each of them staring at the one that was speaking.
Bang
The lights quickly died and came back, the creature now right in front of gold, opened its shadowy maw multiple voices escaped it's throat. "Wake up, Goldie." the voices yelled in unison
Fools gold woke up in a cold sweat, her eyes shooting around the lit cabin of the train car, the ruffled feathers of Emile still brushing against her neck. her heart continued to race for a while, what was that? she thought to herself.
Bombshell grumbled sleepily "You alright, gold?" his ruby red eyes squinting at her, the sound of his voice causing Fools gold to jump with slight fear. "Yea... yea. I'm good." she said, her voice absolutely quivering with fear, though, somehow Bombshell didn't hear it.
Bombshell shrugged before going back to sleep, leaving Fools gold to her own mind, she nuzzled against Emile, feeling his soft feathers against her course coat, in return she began to feel calm and comfortable, though one question still rang in her head, what was the dream all about, and what does it mean....
Author's Note
Howdy there, I came back with the milk and a new story, thanks to my friends who got me back into writing.
I would absolutely love to hear your guesses to what the creatures are! just note I don't even know what they are, or have a name for them!
